Little did we know upon entering, we hit the jackpot when choosing Slyder's beyond the high ratings they've received. For a Thursday night this little place was crazy busy!! Great food, great service and Joe, who's probably the most personable and sincere owner I've ever come across, who shared some great stories. The icing on the cake was finding out he briefly lived near us in central NC. It really is a small world! I had a delicious reuben sandwich with perfectly grilled bread. My spouse had been craving a BLT and this one hit the mark. A generous order of fries rounded it all out. Good food aside, Joe was the highlight. He was happy to share some info about sites to see in Dayton, for future reference, a city he clearly loves. When we were leaving we looked for him to thank him and say goodbye, but didn't see him. To our surprise he suddenly appeared out the front door to chat with us a bit further. This was a first. To feel so welcomed by an owner, esp given how busy they were. It really made an impression on us. The next time we're in town stopping here is an absolute must! Many thanks, Joe, for your hospitality!

My friends and I decided to hit up Blind Bob's last Friday. I was shocked to discover I had to pay for parking at the Oregon District, despite driving a hybrid. I am single-handedly saving the environment. I should have special rights, such as not having to pay for parking. That's not Blind Bob's fault though. While paying the cover to get in, I was disgusted to discover so many people smoking in front of the building and on the patio. Cigarettes should be banned everywhere on the planet. This is unacceptable. The bouncer said people should be allowed to choose whether or not they want to smoke. Look, I am all for freedom of thought and speech, but when it goes against my established personal reality, then your thought and speech really shouldn't exist in society. I'm the most tolerant, accepting, and open-minded person out there. In fact, I'm so tolerant, accepting, and open-minded, that nobody should have opinions that differ from mine. If you disagree with anything in which I believe, you are just closed-minded. Once inside, I felt at home. We all felt comfortable and welcomed. The last couple of places we visited made us feel very uncomfortable. My friend is a gay man, but he identifies as a straight man. He is currently suing himself for sexual assault after a night of masturbating. #MeToo is alive and well in Dayton, Ohio. My other friend is novigender (their gender is so complicated it's impossible to label as a single term). I sometimes identify as a cat. Sadly, even in 2024, it's still very difficult to find a place that accepts everyone/everything. Thankfully, Blind Bob's is one of those places. The only issue we had concerned the bathrooms, which I will address soon. We decided not to get any food or alcohol, since they didn't offer anything that didn't result in the senseless murder of an animal or plant. We used our hands to scoop water from the bathroom faucet to our mouths because we didn't want to support the people who pollute our Earth by making plastic cups. Speaking of bathrooms, I'm sad to report Blind Bob's still adheres to the archaic binary system. There are infinitely many genders, so I know it's not economically possible to accommodate for everyone, but every restaurant should have at least 50 different designated bathrooms to accommodate for the people who identify as the most popular genders. The music was just fantastic! All of the songs by all of the bands sounded the same. It was perfect. We had a great time not being able to hear each other talk over the same chord progressions for three hours. We were really feeling good about ourselves that night. In fact, when they announced that it was last call, we decided to leave my car and just take the 15-mile trip home by foot. We figured it would save precious resources and help reduce even more pollution. It took us five hours to get home, but it was worth it. None of us have jobs, so sleeping until noon isn't an issue for us. Overall, it was a great night! I would advise you not to turn a "blind" eye to this establishment! Cheers! read more

Big place. Lots of rules before you come in. Inside, there are plenty of chairs and tables. They have an area for music or live band, and area for games, and an area with plants. Lol. The interior is quite confusing especially with the mix of decorations coming in to play. As for food, well, I arrived here early lunch and I have not had any breakfast yet so I ordered from their brunch menu. I had their Patchouli Pappa. It's a three-egg omelet filled with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, green peppers, onions, olives, banana peppers, cheddar, and pepper jack. It's quite a feast and it's a good-sized serving. It was served with a toast and was topped with hollandaise. It was good and it was fresh and hot when it got to me. Ingredients are balanced in term of the amount so there's not too little of this or too much of that. It was good food just not my kind of place. I will come back, probably with friends. I want to try their hula hoops. It's kind of famous when I ate here last time. read more

On New Year's Eve I along with my two friends came to Blind Bob's to enjoy the night and celebrate the new year. One of those friends had drink a bit much and were asked to leave. As I was looking for my phone I accidentally knocked a glass on the table over - so I was also asked to leave. My issue isn't that I was asked to leave, my issue is that the person who shoved me out of the door (without my phone) began using homophobic slurs. In 2018, I think we have to hold local establishments to much higher standards. Using the word fa**ot is absolutely unacceptable and incredibly offensive. This behavior is typically not tolerated by most companies, so I hope Blind Bob's really sits down and talks with their employees on the importance of accepting people of all sexualities. Not to mention, if you post a negative review to their Facebook - they'll just block you and move on. Incredibly unprofessional! I'll spend my time/money at the numerous other bars in the Oregon District. read more

Love their southwest wrap with housemade chips. Very yummy. The chips aren't oily and really big in size. I also enjoyed the fully-packed wrap with really so much in it. I was just assaulted by a bouncer, because I had left a prvious bad review because they would not let me on the patio with my dog, He, Tyler, physically put his hands on me, pushing me out (notice, this guy is about 8 inches taller than I am and 50 pounds heavier). The reason he knows who I am is that I supported them when they opened, as I lived in the district. Good job, Bob. read more
