Craved pizza after a night exploring different places in Pasadena. Blaze was open late. Ordered a build-your-own with classic red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, green peppers, banana peppers, olives, mushrooms, roasted broccoli. The staff was very efficient and I liked that they kept the pizza in the wood fire grill a bit longer to make the crust crispy. With a little red chili pepper and Parmesan cheese on top, it was the perfect snack to share with my husband. Mmm, thank you.

Blaze Pizza sits on the NE corner of E. Colorado Blvd. & E. Molino Ave. in Pasadena.

First visit to any Blaze Pizza location. We stopped in after a show at the Pasadena Playhouse, as this is one of only a few places open late in the theater district. It's a short walk from the Playhouse, located on the NE corner of E. Colorado Blvd. & E. Molino Ave. Plenty of indoor seating available, and parking is on the street or in a nearby pay lot (walkable distance). Ordering is cafeteria style: select your pizza and then walk along to add toppings, finally paying at the register. When your order is ready, they call out your name/ticket number and you go back up to the counter to pick up your food. No table service. My wife and I shared a Carnivore Pizza ($13.99) and a Cinnamon Bread ($4.99) for dessert. Overall, the dining area could have used more attention to cleaning after customers left their tables, but the food was tasty, and the service was okay. I'd try them again, for sure.

Amazing service but found a rubber band in my pizza box again everyone is super nice but double check

Came for pi day and what a busy day this was. There was a line out the door. I will know this for next year. It was probably the busiest it ever was and will ever be. So many eager people wanting their pi day pie. Their pi day deals vary each year but this year was bogo for $3.14. Not a bad deal but definitely enough for it to draw the crowds. I think food usually tastes better if you are getting a deal. Therefore the pizzas were delicious! We got the spicy pepperoni and the carnivore. I was not ready for the sweet sauce on the carnivore. I would definitely ask for no sauce next time. On a side note, the side door allows for entry by unwanted guests. A homeless guy entered and sat in a booth area and was occupying space that a paying customer could have been sitting at. That was a little unsettling. There should be some security to prevent vagrants from entering without a purpose.

This blaze location is conveniently located on Colorado and is one of the few fast-casual places that don't require a sit-down experience. They also have outdoor seating which is nice. The one drawback is the service here is incredibly slow. It's not that it isn't sufficiently staffed either, they just don't prioritize speed at all. They do participate in pi day deals annually which is nice. If they trained or prioritized urgency here at all this would be an easy 5/5. You can see the other reviews for similar complaints.

You know when you walk into a place and just know they hired the right people? Like, the manager is great, the employees fit perfectly, and everything just runs the way it should? Yeah--this place nailed it. They have the best manager I've ever dealt with at any location. And no.. I didn't ask to speak to the manager haha--he just happened to be behind the counter when I was checking out one day. We ended up having a conversation about how I mistakenly ordered a large on a previous visit, and he was super kind and sweet. He let me know that the large I ordered wouldn't taste the same as the build-your-own regular and gave me some helpful tips for next time. Then, out of nowhere, he gave me a complimentary drink--just to make sure I had a good experience. What a sweetheart. Honestly, every single time I come here, the employees are incredibly friendly, and I always leave with a great interaction. This place is so worth the drive--I go 10 miles out of my way and deal with the crappy parking just to get my Blaze Pizza from this specific location. I've never vouched this hard for a Blaze Pizza before, but trust me, if you want your pizza made right, come here. Other locations may follow the same system, but it just doesn't hit the same way it does here. Also, this location is huge and very spacious and you can sit down if you really want to eat here, but I always take mine to go.. because who doesn't want to eat their pizza while cuddled up in bed binge watching 30 episodes? No? Just me? Okay.

Blaze's Cajun-style pizza. Nice, but not what I ordered.

I remember when Blaze Pizza first opened in Pasadena. We simply couldn't get enough. Pies were $7 (more or less) and the service was stellar. That was 14 years ago and the prices are higher, the customer service was lousy, and again, the pizza bottom was burned.

Made a mobile curbside order I called more then 20 times and waited half an hour for my order I ordered curbside since I was with my children and couldn't get down I eventually had to run out the car to grab my order and which an employee then said why I didn't just get down from my car. I ordered curbside and not pickup for a reason ?! Very unprofessional that I couldn't get through in phone call they would immediately just hang up as soon as it started ringing. This happened on September 18 2025 at 2:55 my order was supposed to be ready and out since 2:27. The lady had a tattoo on her arm and also it was completely empty unacceptable why have a phone if no one answers and also it none of the employees business why I ordered curbside that was completely rude im always ordering here and I've never had anyone so rude

This is not a classic Italian pizza, but the quality of the ingredients is good and consistent. We usually get the Build Your Own Pizza and have been happy with it!

Then saw a unique appetizer salad item on menu "Involtini" $16. It was a great appetizer consisting of arugula, and goat cheese wrapped in prosciutto, with an impressive large thin sliced piece of Parmesan on top drizzled with a balsamic reduction. Very unique and good, I look forward to replicating at home with a little more balsamic. I ordered the Settebello $21 pizza as a main entree of which I thought was advertised with pancetta, mushrooms and Italian sausage. Pizza came out hot and fresh, but with prosciutto instead of the perceived menu listed pancetta. Pizza sauce was good, the sausage and mushrooms were great. Crust was a little doughy, not crispy but charcoal charred in places. Not phenomenal but not bad, middle of the road overall. Service started off great but fell flat to the floor. Drinks and food came out on time indicating bar staff and kitchen staff were on point. Waiting staff could up their game. No check up or check in. No offers for drink refills or another round. I had to ask for refills on water. Final bill $56.35 for one drink, appetizer and pizza for a solo dinner. Three (3) stars at best! Room for improvements.

There were an abundance of ready made slices to select. Per the staff, they have vegan cheese options for whole pizzas, but none for ready made slices. Just as an FYI. They also offer a number of sandwiches as well. The number of items is vast and of great variety. Now for the pizza. The selection was a mix NY slices and square slices. I was looking for some to go. So I decided on the squares cause I love those slices! I went with Pepperoni Grandma and a Pepperoni Honey DeNiro. The staff will heat it up for you on the oven and even cut slices in half to enjoy them. I loved the flavors and the crisp edges. It had a great crunch in each bite and taste was solid. My favorite of the too was the Pepperoni Honey DeNiro. The hot honey on this slice made this option stand out to me. The mix of sweet and savory paired with heat is my kind of combo of flavor. :) I would come back again if I'm craving pizza and would think of the trying a sandwich too in the future because their menu looked good. Thanks, Brooklyn Square! ( ^_^)b

The restaurant itself…read morehas such a cozy atmosphere, it feels modern and clean, but the wood accents and overall design make it warm and inviting rather than cold or trendy for the sake of being trendy. The service has been consistently friendly and attentive both times I've visited. The food has honestly been fantastic. This has quickly become my go-to spot when I want a really good pizza made with fresh, quality ingredients. The dough is one of my favorite parts, not too heavy, not too thin, and it has the perfect crisp to it. Their macaroni and cheese was amazing too. You can tell they use good quality cheese because it wasn't oily, clumpy, or overly greasy like a lot of places. Everything was smooth, rich, and well balanced. I also tried the broccolini, which tasted really good overall. Personally, I would've loved a little garlic on it and for it to be cooked slightly softer since it was still pretty crunchy, but that's just my own preference and not really a complaint. The Caesar salad was excellent as well. It is a little pricier compared to some other pizza spots nearby, but honestly not by much, and when you compare the ingredient quality and overall experience, it's absolutely worth it.

5/5 - Mac and Cheese I thoroughly enjoyed the mac and…read morecheese. It wasn't heavy or overly oily like some places tend to make it. The charred breadcrumb topping added the perfect crunch, and the portion size was ideal for two adults. It had that perfect cheese pull--and then some. 5/5 - Pepperoni Pizza (with added sausage) The pizza was excellent. I loved that we could add sausage, and the crust was amazingly light. My partner likes dipping pizza in ranch, and the crust (especially the edge) was perfect for that. If you're not a fan of overly saucy pizza, this is definitely for you--the sauce doesn't overpower the sausage or pepperoni. The cheese was evenly distributed, so every bite felt balanced. 3/5 - Broccolini The broccolini was just okay. I liked the char and the slight smoky flavor, along with the hint of lemon and cheese on top. However, I wish it had been blanched a bit more, as it was crunchier than I prefer. The tops were slightly over-charred for my taste, and the texture didn't quite come together. You order before being seated, which is a bit different, and then it's open seating--bar seats, booths, or tables depending on your preference. We chose a corner booth since there was a birthday party in the center of the restaurant. The space can comfortably accommodate groups of 5-10 people. One thing to note (not the restaurant's fault) is that there were children running around quite a bit, which made it feel a little chaotic at times. Since there aren't any activities or designated areas for kids, it would be nice if parents were a bit more mindful so everyone can enjoy their dining experience. The servers were extremely nice and attentive, especially when it came to refilling drinks. You may need to check in with them for things like to-go boxes, but overall the service was solid. Overall, I would come back again.

I knew there was pizza but I wanted to know more about their sandwiches and salads. I found out that they do have daily / weekly specials that are a great value. I decided to order a special small Italian sausage pizza and an order of six nude chicken wings with ranch dip on the side. I sat down and waited for the order to be completed. There were a few people at some tables finishing up their lunch. While I was there the phone was constantly ringing with takeout orders. The walls had simple decorations that created a nice ambiance. When my order was called, I was given instructions on how to carry the bag as to not disturb the toppings and cheese on the pizza. As I walked, the smell of the fresh pizza and wings was enticing. The wings were just as I ordered. I enjoyed that they have not been overcooked. The wings were tender and moist. The ranch dressing dipping sauce was a great choice. I look forward to trying some of their other homemade sauces. The Italian Sausage Pizza was cooked just the way I like it. The crust had a nice crisp bottom and great flavor. The toppings of olive and onion were a perfect combination with the Italian sausage. I was happy that I ordered the small size rather than the mini so that I could enjoy some cold pizza the next day. Great flavor even on day two. On another trip I ordered the Italian Grinder Sandwich and a large Antipasto Salad. The salad was full of flavor and fresh vegetables and meats. The sandwich was huge. More ingredients than I expected with a great Italian flavor, the bread was incredible as well. I tried the sandwich both cold and hot and both ways the flavor was the star of this sandwich.
