My husband & I tried this place on 8/30/14 at around 8 p.m. It was not too busy & plenty of seats were available. I opted for the "White Top" ($7.45) which is a signature pizza with "white cream sauce with mozzarella, applewood bacon, chopped garlic, oregano, & arugula." At no extra cost, a female employee mentioned, I could add any other toppings. I added spinach & mushrooms. It was pretty tasty. And they didn't burn the crust as I feared they would. Without timing them, my personal thin crust pie was ready within what seemed like just a few minutes. And it was piping hot! My husband asked for the spicy red sauce in his pizza. Indeed, it was spicy. We agreed there were small cubes of jalapeños in their spicy red sauce, however, we never confirmed it with anyone. I liked the red pepper & parmesan cheese shakers available to take to your table. Also, if you have leftovers, pizza boxes are available for you to grab. I am a longtime, very loyal customer of Blaze. I'm not sure what has happened to them but I think they need to get a whole new crew at the Glendale store. Lately, my pies are just thrown together, under/over cooked, and worst of all, I have to ask for my drizzle on the side or my pizza arrives completely smothered in balsamic sauce and inedible. Oh my...what happened Blaze Pizza? You have been my go-to pizza place since you opened in this location. But on Sunday evening, you made me rethink my devotion. First off, what happened to the cheery, upbeat employees? The guy making dough leered at me, the one putting sauce and cheese on never smiled, and the guy putting the rest of the toppings on looked like he did not want to be there at all. Then they had no fresh basil, no lemonades available, and no small to go boxes. And it's not like I was there 5 minutes before closing! We came to the mall just for the pizza and ran as fast as possible due to parking distance then we were turned down with a "sorry the customer before you was the last one." Never, ever again! Ordered two 11" pizzas at 4:49 PM for delivery. Had I known they use DoorDash, I would not have even bothered, because I am adamantly against these food delivery services and their business models. Anyway, was advised that the order would be delivered at 5:26. Checked the status text at 5:25, only to discover the driver was only just on her way to the restaurant. She brought our order around 5:55 PM, and of course it was ice cold. Also, the crust on one of the pizzas was thoroughly burnt. Blaze doesn't really want to hear your feedback apparently, because they make it incredibly difficult to reach them. The help phone number listed in the order email was disconnected, and when I called the alternate number mentioned, I was told to provide feedback on the website. I'm certain I'll never hear anything about that again. Can't believe I spent $30 including delivery fees and additional charges on pizza that ended up having to go in the garbage, because it wasn't any good after reheating either. read more

They also don't skimp out on the toppings. Everything i asked for I got plenty of. I love build your own pizza joints and this has definitely become my favorite. I would probably go more often if it wasn't in Glendale. The service.... I've never seen a staff be so considerate and attentive They have this sign that if you have a gf allergy there may be some cross contamination... I ordered the gluten free dough and they were jumping through all of these hoops for me. Each time my pizza switched hands, a staff member changed gloves. They used different red sauce to avoid cross contamination. Etc.. This was also during a Sunday afternoon when its busy as well. I've had staff from other locations just do the bare minimum but I was incredibly impressed with their consideration. The only problem I had was that I was now the asshole because I don't have an extreme gluten free allergy but just a mild one /strong preference. I wouldn't have minded cross contamination and probably wouldn't have even noticed. But I'm glad to know the staff, during a busy time of the day, would have made sure I didn't die if I had an actual gluten free allergy. Food: great Service: not so great Blaze is one of my favorite "quick" and "inexpensive" take out places. This location in the mall is not the most convenient. It is easiest to park in the mall lot near the dicks sporting goods or golds gym. The food is always pretty consistent, you can get a cheese only pizza for $6 which is an awesome deal. They also have an amazing gluten free crust (according to my fiancé who is picky). The service isn't always the best, the staff isn't very friendly at this location. read more

I am really disappointed with the Blaze Pizzas pizza ingredient change. Veg out is one of my favorite pizzas there and I would go there often with my family to get that. However, they've recently changed the topping from zucchini to broccoli and it does not taste the same. Not sure if I will get that again because the taste is altered. I think management should be aware of the missed revenue and lack of employees accountability to be open until 9pm. It's like every other build your own pizza place that we have ever been to, but she really enjoyed the plain cheese pizza, as did I, that was ordered. I also got a small side salad that was more than enough, I forgot the name, but it had arugula, chunks of fresh mozzarella (or maybe it was goat cheese, not sure), roasted red bell pepper, and tomatoes, tossed up in a pesto vinaigrette dressing. Everything was pretty standard, employees were nice, and I was very happy with the soda selections, as they had some great black cherry, mango orange, and rootbeer selections that you normally wouldn't see. Things were priced fairly, it wasn't overly expensive. The dough is rolled out to the perfect thinness and when baked, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. You have a choice of marinara sauce, white sauce, or spicy red sauce. I mix the spicy red sauce with the white sauce, top it with some mozzarella and feta and fill it with endless veggies. After it comes our of the oven, I have them drizzle pesto on top and I am in heaven. Perfect after shopping around in the mall. Customer service is great. They were quick to take our order, very accommodating for any special requests, and regularly checked up on tables (rare for a fast food restaurant). Parking is available in the mall, Bloomingdales is the nearest location to park if you're only planning to eat here. read more

In between orders, he did yell out, in his defense, have your money ready and know what you're ordering. Oh, how far I have come! Ordering the Blaze Fast-Fire'd pizza is a dream. You can pick and choose any combinations of sauces, toppings that you desire. They have a menu to choose from or you could just create your own. The food alone is 4 stars, but I'm upping an extra star for some thoughtful touches. The ordering process at Blaze is already documented, and a flat price for unlimited topping is an great deal. To balance the pizza we got an antipasto salad, which was ok. Additionally, the pizza was fired really nicely, which a crisp crust on the bottom and it wasn't flimsy at all. For mall location, I thought this place would be mobbed at 12 noon on a weekend. Nope. The line was extremely short because it's away from the food court. What a great idea! The children's high chairs were easy to find and clean. The soda machines, self-service cutlery & boxes were well-stocked and also very clean. The paper take-out boxes, when deconstructed, doubled as a disposable plate for Baby C. And whoever thought of the trash at Blaze had their thinking cap on. It looks like a 55-gallon drum with an enormous liner & a small shelf for your pizza pans. What it doesn't have is a swinging door. Those are so useless for restaurant trash cans, since no one wants to touch them! We also had some of our trash taken away by a friendly employee checking to see if everything tasted good. It's no secret that I absolutely love pizza. There are so many of these build your own pizza shops that are opening up everywhere! I've tried PizzaRev in Burbank and Project Pie in the Americana but this one is definitely my favorite! The sauce is so flavorful and delicious and the crust is then and crispy. The price is extremely affordable for the amount of pizza you were given - around $8. Also, it's unlimited toppings. They also have a really nice seating area that probably accommodates at least 50 people. It's inside the galleria on the third floor in the Bloomingdale's wing. read more
