If I can give 0 I would do it! I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience really deserved one. My mom and I ordered through the self-service kiosk because that's what customers are expected to use now instead of ordering with an employee. The receipt printed completely blank except for asking for a table number, so we entered table 22, which was clearly visible. They later claimed they couldn't find our table, but no employee ever even walked by us. At this location, they never seem to bring food to the table like other McDonald's do, even when you're told to enter a table number. To make things worse, our food was cold. When I asked for it to be remade, they simply reheated the same food and gave us fresh fries instead of replacing the meal. While we were waiting, employees were making disrespectful comments right in front of customers, which was very unprofessional. I've stopped by this McDonald's in Glendale almost Eagle Rock a few times at this point. The first time driving by it I immediately thought that the parking lot and the restaurant itself was huge. I placed my order via the app and that works seamlessly. I don't like having to wait for my food so it was a quick and painless process. Make sure to take advantage of the coupons and deals in the app. The dining area isn't as big as I thought it would be so I can imagine it being somewhat congested when it's busy in there. The children's play area takes up a huge portion of the building itself. There are also kiosks here for those patrons that do you like to order themselves. This is the third time we've received an incomplete food order, and it's beyond frustrating. Every time, we're told to call customer service -- which doesn't resolve the issue in a meaningful way. Most recently, the manager was extremely unprofessional and told me to "just come pick up the missing items." If I wanted to go in person, I wouldn't have ordered through the app in the first place. Don't go through the drive thru thinking it will be fast. They have one of those dual drive thru's that they're supposed to alternate back and forth between when taking orders. Apparently they can even mess that up as I sat at the order screen and they literally took 3 cars in the line next to me, even though I was there prior. Despite the negative reviews on Yelp, I find the workers at this McDonald's location to be the best and friendliest people. I usually only order a Diet Coke, but these younger employees are always hustling with a smile no matter how busy it gets. They even engage in conversation while taking drive-thru orders. Compared to the central location, where I've encountered younger guys with poor attitudes, I prefer this location because these workers are always polite and go out of their way to ensure excellent customer service. I've never had a negative experience here, even after multiple visits. They're also willing to bring drinks out to curbside pick-up. Although it's difficult to give a McDonald's a 5-star rating, the quality of service at this location deserves recognition. The manager, SOL, is the most inconsiderate staff member in this branch. Avoid this branch when she's on duty if you want good service. I've been buying Happy Meals at this McDonald's branch for years and it's the first time they declined to sell the toy separately during breakfast. I told SOL that they always did at this branch and at Central as long as we still buy a meal but she insisted this branch does not. I understand if the current toys are in demand (lot like those Sanrio, Pokemon cards & Marvel collectibles) but it's just Elio, a movie that has flopped and was marketed very poorly. I tried asking again, when we got our breakfast meal, and showed SOL McDonald's webpage in my phone that states that they could sell toys separately, but she said it only applies to other non-special toys. Huh. That sounds like an alibi. Pretty sure she's making things up based on my experience here and meeting other kind staff members. I bet SOL either doesn't know how to enter the right codes at the register to sell the toy separately, or she's just too lazy or doesn't care much about the customers. It is nice that they have a Play place (although again, we haven't used it). The staff is always friendly and seem to be helpful. The drive thru is a little slower than you would expect. And it is true that the ice cream machine is always broken (which is annoying). And it is true that sometimes the fries are a little cold. This review isn't about the food or service--it's about how people are treated, especially by management during the hiring process. I applied for a job at this location and was scheduled for an interview today, Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM. When I arrived, I let a cashier know I was there for the interview. He told me the General Manager had been informed and would be with me shortly. I waited patiently--for over an hour. I checked back in and was told again that the GM would be with me soon. Another 10 minutes passed, and a cashier apologized for the delay, repeating the same message. In total, I waited nearly two hours, and no one came to meet me. I eventually left, disappointed and disrespected. I hope management or corporate will review the cameras from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM that day. I'm sharing this not out of anger, but to point out a basic lack of courtesy and professionalism. It's deeply discouraging to be treated this way--especially when someone is coming in, hopeful, and simply trying to earn a living. No one deserves to be ignored or dismissed like this. Oh m g, is all i can think after seeing this at the bottom of my fry bag , after eating them all. This is single handedly the worst thing possible what the helly. I came to this location on a chill afternoon doing some sales job. Enjoyed my lunch and ordered this vanilla iced coffee large as usual. Have to say every McDonald's coffee taste different in some way, but this location is great. I like how it taste. The vanilla and the milk, sweetness is just right. Not too sweet and not too bitter. Many location taste bitter even after added another shot of vanilla. This location made perfect coffee. So I decided to buy more for my team. Unfortunately when I walked out and try to settle it down ok my car and open the door. Four of them spilled and I was like 囧！ Melissa the manager helped me out by cleaned it up, I'm very sorry for this and she also help me to get another 4 large coffee back for free. Wow! Very poor customer service. Milton, Manager stated it was a busy day and no time to clean restaurant. "Clean!" This McD's need an overhaul! Starting with the McDonald's Big Wigs @ Corporate. It appears McDonald's only goal is to sell burgers & make the Almighty Dollar bill! Mo', mo' $$$ = mo' greed! Customer service definitely is obsolete. Associates & Managers are not present ( they're literally out to lunch). Cleanliness & sanitation, order, honesty is out the window. Dining area was a natural disaster scene: tables, chairs, floors, entryways, windows, kiosks & restroom were filled with debris, sticky substances, food everywhere, burger/fries cartons too, all choices of sauces were spilled on the floor as if they gave 'em away (when in fact now McD's charges for them), tables and chairs were array. Water puddle on floor near fountain/beverage counter, cup lids scattered on counter then inserted back in by associated. Yuck! Who knows what was on them after someone obviously took 'em out by accident or intentionally. No ice in ice machine, left over receipts all over the floor & left over French fries that appeared to be a mini-volcano gone wrong underneath a table to greet you as you entered. Lol! I notice associates including managers let regular customers and or Uber, Door Dash or other food delivery service persons buy a hot coffee @ the Senior's discounted amount when they are obviously NOT SENIOR CITIZENS. As well as sell smaller cup size beverages, but receive the large cups. I guess some sort of nepotism is going on here. In the end the new or less fortunate customer pays the heavy price for horrible customer, disgruntled associates who don't wear name tags or appropriate uniform attire & what they choose to wear most of the time is inappropriate or dirty. No matter the time of day some associates including management look like they just got out of bed, rush to work, look horrendous & tired with a very bad attitude and vibe. The vivmbe passed on to you the customer! No wonder everyone's in a bad mood. Time to take out the sage and garlic to ward off bad vibes (spirits). ; ) It appears McDonald's Corporation does not care for the public's best interest as sales and money are their driving force & only priorities. It was exemplified by the associates' & manager's response when asked what happened here? Why is dining area actually the whole restaurant the scene of a trash disaster zone? They all just shook their heads, said they didn't know or as Milton, Manager stated "it's been busy." Where are the "PNP's" i .e. the sanitary policies and procedures @ work here?!?! Is there even any & this point in today's high speed lifestyle. The unsatisfactory answer "it's been busy" is preposterous! The audacity to even utter those words out loud ti a paying customer of all things. Too busy to clean and sanitize! Wow! No wonder infections, diseases are created and pandemics start. This could be Ground Zero! I'll gladly "drop a dime" to the Public Health Department because it's a public health issue and concern. This government entity must keep a watchful eye and serve pink slips more often to avoid health risks. If this is how the front of the restaurant looks like I wonder what's going on in the kitchen. Is "Ratatouille" in Da HouZe "cooking up a storm?!?!" STAT need disinfectant, bleach, rubbing alcohol, gloves, oxygen masks and any and all Universal Precautions! McDonald's needs to take a page from Chick-Fil-A and In N' Out Burgers where customers come first, are treated w/ respect, associates wear appropriate & clean uniform attire w/ they're personal name tags not made up names or another associate's name tag, loud voices are heard by customers not associates. Although the In N' Out is exempt since it's their culture to call out order #'s in a loud manner. Associates are present and focus on customers not themselves. I can't tell you how many times I've heard McDonald's associates at various locations carry on a detailed personal & graphic conversation in front of customers. McDonald's you're lost! It's time to re-read and re-educate yourselves and go look up your mission statement and/or create a new one as it appears you're in desperate need of one.
