Just so delicious and plentiful. I had to get a box to take the other half and the fries home. My company had the Blattinator which looked so amazing. The new brunch menu here at Blatt is worth talking about. The first of the locations to serve brunch, the menu is a mix of standard to elevated items. After trying a good section on the menu family style- we decided that three of the dishes were exemplary. For starter bites, the doughnut holes were really great. They were cake type batter, but not as dense inside as I was expecting. They are fried(?), so the outside had a wonderful crispy texture- but without all the greasy residue. Really light, and not overpoweringly greasy or heavy. The lemon mint drizzle was delightful and it would be easy for them to change up that flavor to create new menu items when this gets tired. The loaded breakfast fries were also a great order to share, although admittedly did not do well as leftovers to take home. The other stand out item to me was the sticky biscuits. Again, the texture of the biscuit was light and airy on the inside and satisfyingly crunchy on the outside. The berries and syrup added a nice extra sweet kick. I'm not a sweet eater for breakfast, so it's surprising that these were my favorites. Nice and personable stuff but maybe you could be a little more staffed. I had the vegan root burger made with quinoa and beets. I didn't love the smoky flavor of the burger and be sure to ask for a sauce on it. I asked for the buffalo Sriracha and I put it on the burger and that made a world of difference. Blatt is the place you want to go when you're ready to satisfy your tummy with great food and a chic new modern atmosphere. FOOD : We started out with the hummus and veggie plate Appetizer. They bring out warm fluffy pitas with veggies and beet dip. The beet dip is amazing. It's like eating some kind of dessert dip that you don't have to feel bad about. It is pretty sweet so be careful how much of it you eat (I ate a lot because I couldn't help myself). I was surprised how warm and fresh the pitas were, even some Mediterranean places don't do it that well. The food was amazing. What I love about blatt is that you an get hardy food but also clean food if you're looking to eat healthy as well. Anywhere from brats and burgers to salads or a hummus plate, you can get it all. I ordered the chicken sandwich without the bun. Ilooove how blatt seasons their chicken. They always cook it perfectly and the flavor is just right. I also got my all time favorite curried carrots on the side. I could eat these for DESSERT truly. They are soooo good, so much flavor, I even cook them at home now. Definitely something I look forward to. My sister got the brat, and she was shook. She said it was easily one of the best brat's she has ever had. They are easily one of the most trusted places in Omaha when it comes to meat. I haven't heard of or had a problem with their meat anytime I have gone (which is rare, and I'm picky). My mom got the buffalo wings and said they were spicy and flavorful. There wasn't an earth shattering moment, but they were still worth it! SERVICE : One of the biggest factors to me is service. This was something I was so pleased with at blatt. We had such a prompt and generous server. He was patient and always ready to help, so kind and just made for an all around great experience. ATMOSPHERE : Another thing I love about Blatt is their atmosphere. There aren't a lot of new, modern, aesthetic places out west so it is always refreshing to walk into blatt and know they are on the right train with how they design. There are warm lights and mason jar glasses, all paired with new sleek modern touches and hanging lights that make you feel like a million bucks without having to spend a million bucks. The restaurant is clean and upbeat. You can sit at the bar or the tables. There are tv's around that you can watch a game or two if you'd like. FINAL THOUGHTS .. Have been to the Blatt a few times but decided to review this time. The service was great our waitress was very friendly and quick. I went with the chicken and waffles it was decent overall. The chicken was good quality but I wasn't a huge fan of the breading I like mine a little Crispier. The waffle was different but delicious. It was made of jalapeño cornbread which gave it a kick but wasn't over powering. Good experience from service to the food! read more

For the past 6 months, my friends and I have been going to Blatt every single Friday night. It's our GO TO place... our favorite late night, bar food, great food, and great drink selections. The service is always great! A month ago or so, we went to Blatt for our weekly Friday night dinner and the menu had completely changed. The vibe in Blatt was different, the food choices were odd for what type of restaurant it is. We were open the to the change because...change can always be good. But sadly... the changes that were made weren't something that any of us liked. Below are a few things that changed that bummed us out! 1. The FRENCH FRIES! Their French Fries are (WERE) one of the best in town. We could NOT believe that they got rid of that staple. It appears that the only staples that they kept around is their Pretzel Bites and their Chicken Fingers (which went up a few dollars... I expect price increases of course... but this was very noticeable.). One of our favorite appetizers were their french fries and their dipping sauces. The French Fries that they have now appear to just be frozen from a bag, nothing special. In fact, they weren't even good. 2. Appetizers list is a big giant bummer. It's as if they've tried to upscale the menu at Blatt....but the atmosphere and the food selections don't jive. They have gotten rid of the Queso Dip and French Fries amongst some others and have replaced it with some mussels and a really odd beer cheese bread which isn't even all that sharable. 3. The menus are no longer on the brown paper, it's now like a fancy white paper menu. Again... we don't go their for fancy food. We got there for good, but better than bar food. Their silverware is now cloth napkins and their plates are white ceramic plates that aren't their one of a kind tin plate...which kept the atmosphere casual. I could go on and on....but the change wasn't one that we think was a good change! We sadly will not be going there anymore. Too many changes and not enough for the positive. I have other friends that have gone their recently and they completely felt the same way about their menu change and the entire experience there. We aren't sure the reason for the changes...if it's a new chef, or owner or what... but we just didn't think that it was broken...so not sure why the need to make such drastic fixes. Look, times are crazy, but I have to say that even with a (covid19) limited menu, this place is worth coming back to. Awesome beer selection and incredibly friendly staff. Everyone seemed on top of social distancing. I can truly say my table felt thoroughly cleaned before my party sat there and the servers seemed well trained with the world's current pandemic. Again, the menu was obviously smaller than what I assume they normally serve, but my burger was awesome and they had a huge craft list. I really enjoyed Blatt and look forward to coming back! We came in for a late lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and easily found a seat and were quickly greeted. No cocktails this time around but I definitely found some I would like to sample. My mom and I shared the Cobb salad and chicken and waffles. I really enjoyed the thick cut bacon on the Cobb salad but beyond that just your typical Cobb. Chicken and waffles were served with 2 sauces- a citrus maple syrup which paired amazingly with the jalapeño in the waffles and gravy for the chicken. The chicken came out piping hot with a nice crispy crust. I really enjoyed it but wouldn't mind some extra seasoning. The decor was fun to admire from the mason jar lighting and historic black and white photos. All-in-all a great addition to the ever expanding Legacy area in west Omaha! read more

Okay I hated this place when I came in because they didn't offer flights of beer - still a big mistake on their part but what the hell! Looking at it the menu I found many wonderful options and couldn't make a decision so I asked the bartender, Ali. She recommended the Cuban sandwich with cabbage. WOW!! Amazing choice!! Our server came promptly and took our orders without writing it down (and got it all right!). I got the Chicken and Waffles. Went to Blatt for dinner and had a 5 star experience. Service was quick and helpful highlighted by the food coming out timely and hot. The root beer on tap was delicious and had an aesthetic mug to go with it. We ordered: deviled eggs, the veggie flatbread, the chicken and waffles, the mac and cheese, AND finished off with an in skillet brownie sundae. The deviled eggs were not something that we'd purchase again, but were good nonetheless. The flatbread was much larger than expected and could be the singular appetizer for a table of 4-6! It is more of a pizza than a true flatbread. The mac and cheese was thick and had the cheese pull of a food commercial: now a top favorite. The chicken and waffles were great: crispy with great textures and a mix of sweet and savory with the orange butter. And of course, you can't go wrong with a brownie covered in ice cream, which was the perfect size for two people. The back porch was an elegant setting as well with fresh flowers and string lights. One of the best bar/restaurants in Omaha. The mixed drink and draft beer selection is excellent! Food is good and the interior has a lot of history. Bathrooms are clean and are unique in design. Menu's are always changing. Plenty of seating for all types of crowds. The warm season allows for the outdoor seating to be availed and it is lovely at night. Every staff member was so genuinely friendly and sweet. We went with a 2 year old and a 4 year old around 6:30pm on a Friday night. Our waiter, dylan (I think?) was such a sweet guy. He immediately brought kids cups of water out with our water for the kids along with our water and he asked if we wanted to order for the kids sooner because...well they are kids and their time limit for restaurants is limited. He recommended great beer choices and was knowledgeable on the drafts, which was impressive and also spot on. This was my first visit to the Blatt Beer & Table location at the Legacy Shopping Center. During a Friday evening parking can be tricky since there is limited parking shared with several other businesses. Once you do find parking, there is the strong possibility of a wait. For me, it ended up being 25 minutes. Conveniently, sitting at the bar was available and the greeter takes your cell phone number that provides a return message connected to an app to check your progress with wait times and tells you the number of parties ahead of you. It ended up not being very accurate and we had to wait an additional 10 minutes beyond what the app stated. During the wait, the deviled eggs were fantastic, laying in cole slaw and had a nice bite to the taste. I ordered the Southern Pork open faced sandwich that sits on a waffle slice, topped with pickles, cole slaw, and shredded pork. This was very tasty. My side selected was the potato salad, a smooth and zesty tasting salad that is not lumpy or full of potato squares. They have an extensive tap beer selection and I found one that was actually decent, the Honey Bee. Service was great, once you were officially seated at one of their tables. It's loud so don't expect a quiet or intimate atmosphere. Besides the wait issue mishap with their app, the food and service were fantastic. read more
