I've been searching far and wide in Seattle for a stylist to give me the results I finally received at Haus Collective with Blair and Jayme! They are both extremely talented and knowledgeable and work in unison creating a really unique and accommodating experience. What could be better then having two amazing stylists collaborating to make your hair the best it can be!?!?! I booked a "make me blonde" and a haircut appointment. I came in with long natural medium brown one length hair and trusted their vision to give me something bright and blonde but rooted enough so I could go some time in between appointments. I also wanted some more shape and texture added but not a lot of length taken off with the haircut. I left with instagram worthy natural beachy beautiful blonde sun-kissed locks without all the brass I'm usually left with when I've tried to go blonde in the past with other stylists. And since I have some of my natural color at the root I feel like myself and can tell it's going to grow out beautifully. The haircut was the first "dry cut" I've ever received and I will not let anyone cut my hair wet again. It was perfect. They far surpassed my expectations. Was it expensive? Yes Did it take a long time? Yes Was it worth it? YES!!!!!!!!!!!! Guys, if you want great results you have to be patient and luckily the salon is absolutely adorable and cozy. I spent about 5 hours there but felt completely at home with their fun playlists and variety of beverages!! Blair and Jaimie are AMAZING! I first found them via Instagram - I had gotten a very bad platinum job that needed serious fixin. They brought it to the perfect blonde that I wanted and made it fit my style. I recently had them do my wedding hair along with my bridesmaids. I let each girl choose a style they wanted and Blair and Jaimie were so flexible with us and made everyone feel and look their very best. My hair was my favorite, it stayed all through the night. I scheduled an appt over the phone with Blair based on a friend's recommendation. The day of the appt I received a text letting know they were running late. Which was a great heads up. It wasn't till I was in person sitting in the salon chair that I realized my appt was with Jamie. I was initially disappointed, but I tried to be more optimistic. The haircut we discussed was not to be shorter than my clavicle and to frame around my face. I specified my hair is wavy in the back and flat around my face, so I need it shorter in the front. At the end of my haircut I was confused, my hair had been straightened and Jamie did offer to make it curly. I was pretty fixated on how much shorter it was. When I got home and washed it to try and make it look better. My hair became curly and it got even more short. I cried, I just felt so unattractive and as the week went on I was embarrassed to be seen. The last bad haircut I had was over 10 years ago, I let the stylist know and he was awesome. He fixed it at no cost and it looked so much better. Sadly, this was not the customer service I received. I contacted Blair through e-mail. Her first response was promising. Blair explained that by booking online you get her or Jamie, I booked over the phone and personally requested her. I received no offer to fix my haircut, Blair stated that this was a small business and all they could offer was 15% off the next haircut or a refund of 15%. This haircut was a little over $100. I explained that I would be happy to accept the 15%, but I would like the front to be fixed. Sadly, I received one and only one e-mail. Since November, I have sent Blair approximately 3-4 e-mails. I have tried to resort to the level of leaving a bad review, but what else can I do. I tried every other respectable method. I was hoping to have balayage with this salon, but luckily through this experience I won't be. I can't imagine spending over $300 to find out I was given something I did not ask for. And to know that if I was unhappy, all they would offer me would be a 15% partial refund which they would not even honor. I love small businesses because you tend to get a more personal experience, but Haus salon doesn't seem to care about their customer service. All I wanted was either a complimentary cut fixing the mistake of the first or a refund due to the inability to make the time to rectify this mistake. There are so many other hairstylists out there, make sure to pick one that values you as a customer. read more

Saw Blair yesterday and got the MOST marvelous cut. It was time for me to get rid of my long hair and she gave me the cutest, edgy short style with movement and attitude. Absolutely LOVE my haircut! Blair did an amazing job with chopping off my long locks. I had long, thick hair, a little bit above my bottom. So when I decided I wanted to cut my hair short, I made sure I went to someone whose work I really liked and that's when I stumbled on Haus. It was a bigger plus that they do dry cutting so I was sold on going here. It was hard for me to find someone that does dry cutting or was willing to do it without making a remark on why I shouldn't. Blair cut over 10 inches of hair and took out some weight in my hair with layers and textured it out. Blair is an INCREDIBLE stylist. She took my hair from a brassy blonde to a gorgeous, buttery blonde balayage. Her studio is great -- a private room inside a studio complex, which provides you with privacy and peace. The space is bright, clean, and classy. (Parking is around back and free!). A lot of places are suuuuuper expensive for balayage, and Blair's prices are reasonable and totally justified by the quality and attention you're receiving. I love how laid back the vibe is and how the ladies stay current on modern hair trends. I swear by dry hair cuts after coming here. They often work together on your hair which cuts down on time in the chair, which is another reason why this is the best place I have ever gotten my hair did, ever! I'm very disappointed with the service that I've received at Haüs. I've tried to get in twice, once in November and the second time in February (this month). Both times my appointment was canceled the same day due to an "emergency" and "illness." Idk if it's just extremely bad timing on my part or what, but in all my years of getting my hair serviced I've never had this happen to me twice with the same salon. In fact, I've never had this happen to me at all. I get that things happen but twice in a row as a new client is just ridiculous. This was such a frustrating situation to deal with because I booked this last appointment far in advance just to ensure that I would get the time and day that I needed. I really, REALLY looked forward to this appointment because I had set plans to go wedding dress shopping for the weekend and I wanted to make the whole experience positive, memorable and enjoyable. I knew it was going to be impossible to get in with anyone else at a diff salon, especially on a Friday. In my experience it takes weeks, months sometimes, to book with a stylist. I should've learned after the first cancellation that I shouldn't rebook. I am so bummed because I really wanted to give Haüs a chance. Sadly I will not be making any future appts. read more

When I arrived at the beautiful salon, I was greeted by the friendly front desk, offered delicious coffee and was promptly seated. Blair took the time to really go over what I wanted to make sure we both had similar expectations, she even showed me some color swatches and was very honest about what was achievable in one appointment and dyeing over already colored hair. I knew I was in good hands. Through the process, Blair made sure I was comfy and offered little tidbits of hair wisdom as she went along. I came to this salon months ago to get a touch up on some highlights I had ...I'm still upset about how they treated me so hence this review... it was a very simple job... seriously, a no brainer. Since I had silver highlights on only a portion of my hair all she had to do was just bleach the strands that were already bleached... but no.. because she was apparently so lazy she just took sections from that area and bleached the whole thing. Result: tons of breakage and terrible results. Honestly.. that wasn't the worst part of the experience. The two women that own and run this place make you feel worthless and insignificant while you are there... like they can't be bothered to be nice to you or treat you like a paying customer. Instead, they treat you like you should feel lucky to be graced by their presence... it's just gross and completely unprofessional. And if you think I am just a bitter customer... Scroll down.
