Sensa Salon just has this earthy, bright vibe the second you walk in; it instantly feels calming. Alicia sits down with you for a real consultation, and it's so relaxing to feel like someone is truly listening to what you want. She is so kind and the entire team was just flawless. Spending time with her and at the salon was so comfy- felt like the best day. I walked out with the most gorgeous, effortless hair -- layered, sun-kissed, and just beautiful. Honestly, one of the best salon experience I've ever had. If you're looking for beautiful Balayage and a haircut that's both beautiful and easy to style; this is your place. Oh, and I also love that they offer a cute drink menu with Italian sodas. So many salons just offer champagne and I liked having a delicious mocktail.

    Uneven curtain bangs

I know people make mistakes so this isn't meant to shame anyone! But I came in for a layered long haircut and left with something that looks very different to me. I did point it out while in the chair and he said "yeah I'm trying to figure out how I can fix that" and "we do have a 2 week grace period". So a little choked up I paid my $140, tipped $20 out of courtesy, and left. Took a closer look at home and I was a little heartbroken. I've been growing my natural hair out for almost 2 years and it's going to stink having to grow these bangs out again. I called and spoke to the front desk (super nice and receptive) and told them about it and they said there are no refunds but free fixes. So she asked if I wanted to see Landon and I kindly declined. My thought process was if he didn't quite know how to fix it before, I would probably be best off with someone else. So she put me on a brief hold and then came back and said she could do a certain date/time with Landon. Felt like I wasn't fully being heard, so I just called it quits and am going somewhere else. I'm new to Seattle, and was nervous about who to go to for this haircut. I was hoping by going to a highly rated salon I'd be in good hands, but the experience was all around not my favorite.

I've been visiting Sensa Salon for quite some time and have exclusively worked with Ivan to achieve healthy hair. After receiving many bad curly cuts in the past, I was very apprehensive about trying yet another salon or stylist, but Ivan has completely transformed my curls. Not only is he incredibly skilled, but he's also fun and easy to chat with, and he always takes my opinions and preferences into consideration. I haven't had a single negative experience at Sensa or with my stylist, and I truly look forward to my appointments. I would absolutely recommend this salon, especially Ivan, if you're looking to revive your curls.

    Blowout w/ stylist, Winta!

As first time customer here, I had an incredible experience! I was offered a beverage by the front desk staff right when I checked in and got myself some hot tea since it was a morning appointment! I booked a blowout appointment for my birthday event the next day and also + extra time due to the length and thickness of my hair but Winta was able to finish it without the extra timing. She was so fun to chat with and I think she killed it (the picture attached is after 24 hrs)! I love my hair so much, it was exactly what I wanted. Will definitely come back again!

I did Brazilian blow out. I came like way early to my appt but I had nice time sitting in the sun while drinking coffee and watching the stylists working and running around. The stylist who did my hair was young lady super nice and did a good job with my hair. I will be back for sure :-)

    Result after 2nd appointment

Sensa salon has great customer service but unfortunately they just missed the mark on the actual service itself. I paid almost $900 and still didn't get the result I wanted. My first appointment was in June with Anthony, he had a great personality but maybe the job was just too big for him. My hair resulted in blonde instead of light brown and the blending was very spotty. He did work on my hair for almost 6 hours and noticed he was tired toward the end so i appreciated the effort. I tried to reach out to him about the color being lighter than discussed but didn't get word back. Finally I reached out to the salon and they got back to me very quickly and offer a complimentary color correction appointment. I was so thrilled and appreciative that they wanted to make things right. I went in for my second appointment and got a new stylist, again the stylist had a great personality and I explained to her the issues and the importance of how this would be my engagement hair. After the appointment I felt better with my hair being darker but the color was still flat and lacked dimension. I was just happy I wasn't blonde anymore! Comparing it to the inspo photos, it didn't quite hit the mark. At this point I don't think I will color my hair again with them and my hair does have A LOT of damage now but I did appreciate the efforts and attentiveness. They even gifted me a goodie bag and hand written sorry letter. The customer service was great but the service itself could use improvement! I posted here the inspo photos I showed them, my hair before the appointments and the results I got after each appointment.

She is truly amazing, and I'm so happy with her work that I'm willingly making the hour drive to see her now that she's no longer in Seattle. I originally came to her to fix a bad haircut, and from the first appointment she was thoughtful, precise, and focused on getting my hair healthy and flattering again. Then one day, almost like magic, she gave me the layered haircut I didn't even realize I'd been missing--perfect shape, movement, and exactly right for me. You know a cut is good when a stranger compliments it, and that's exactly what happened. If you've been looking for someone who really understands hair and consistently delivers, Veronica is it.

The customer service wasn't great. I booked an appointment which Veronica cancelled because of a…read moreconflict and I had to reschedule. This is not a problem, but it was an error on her part yet she made me feel like I was the inconvenience. No apology. In person service was also pretty standoffish. The business practice was also was not good. I was going from a long cut to a short cut, have barely wavy hair, and style it straight (have gone short before). She chopped off the majority length of my hair before starting the actual cut, and cut it wet and styled it straight. My hair is straight when wet so there aren't waves to manage and when blow dried it's straight which is what we did. To anyone that is not aware, this is not a traditional curly cut. And common sense might tell you it's not even a non-traditional curly cut. She still charged me for a long haircut and a curly cut. I've tried a real curly haircut before (and determined it wasn't what I like for my hair) and this was not at all the same. I don't know why or how she is classifying this service as a curly cut service. I don't even have thick or coarse enough hair to justify higher pricing. The different prices are on the website but it was unclear that she charges based on where your hair starts even if you don't want an actual long haircut or curly cut. I certainly didn't book that and she didn't communicate otherwise at any point before payment. I could have simply chopped off my own length before going in because that's what she did, and that's what I suggest you do if you still book with her. Honestly, it seemed tacky to me. And unfortunately, the cut itself was terrible. I've had my hair this length before so it's not that, it was just done so badly. She put in a good amount of product and did a lot of blow drying to shape it into something that looked ok in the salon, but it really fell apart after the first wash. I was told it looked like "Dora the Explorer hair" so if that's what you want, this is the place. It's fairly dreadful but at least I didn't get bangs or anything so I can just let it grow out. I preferred to just grow it out rather than have someone that did a bad job with poor customer service try and "fix" it. This was a while back and I posted it originally on google, where the review magically can't be found anymore. Also this is a repost here because somehow the business flagged it and had it taken down.

The shop sells several different kinds, but I was interested in the halo specifically since they seemed easy to put in and take out, especially if I want to wear them more than just for my wedding. When I came in for a consultation, crew went over the halo and helped me choose the color and length. I came back the week after to have my hair color/matched and halo "fitted," or cut. I chose to get a really long length (~10 longer than my actual hair), so it was harder to blend the hair to look natural and curling is a must. But I think Oscar did an excellent job. (My wedding hair and makeup artist made it look phenomenal) It had been over 10 years since I've dyed my hair, so the coloring was a little off at my roots, but they quickly fit me a few days later to fix it. I really respect a business/their employees who go out of their way to make sure customers are happy. I'd say the only downside is parking, but it's definitely manageable. (I'd recommend parking in one of the many Amazon garages if you can't find street parking.) 100% recommend Mermaid Hair

I got bridal ready last year for my wedding in May and ordered the largest…read morequantity possible to fill out my very thin, naturally fine hair so that it could be as thick as possible for my wedding day and Michelle did NOT disappoint, I still have like 10 tips in and get compliments all the time about how "long" my hair is. Lol, I got them done last May and still have at least half a head of these k-tips in to this day. Michelle's salon is a little interesting to get to as she's located within a plaza full of other businesses, but the area is nice and close to the train if you need. Michelle is super sweet and super responsive! She knows her stuff, has a ton of experience, and worked so fast, I think she put in like 20-40+ tips (can't remember but I still have a lot left and have lost 10+ so far, so I'm assuming she put in closer to 40?), and she completed the hair in less than an hour with styling. She was so pleasant to get to know, and I look forward to visiting her salon again in the future. As for the tips, I have started manually removing the super tangled ones, and some others have fallen on their own, which I don't mind. The K-tips have grown with my hair and are now below my waist, hitting my hips, they still look amazing almost like the day she put them in. I was pretty upset with how expensive these were, but since they were for my wedding, I coughed up the money and have since gotten double or triple my money's worth. I will say that where some of the tips have fallen off, they damaged my hair, but I'm good with that since I'll be cutting my hair after the rest of the tips fall out. I am so, so happy with my extensions from Michelle! In total, I paid: 1,150 + 100 + tip, which turned out to be ~1,238.70, but I got the "Mac Daddy" longest bundles she had, 22 inches, I believe. I have not treated them very well, and they have somehow still held. I also have dyed them probably more than 10 times with the rest of my hair with no issues. The quality of her hair extensions is amazing! Unless you tell someone, they probably won't know you have extensions. Next time I have another special occasion, and she's available, I'm definitely booking again with Michelle. For a first-time experience with K-tip extensions, I could not have gone with anyone better. FYI--if it's your first time getting hair extensions, know it can be painful to get used to since the extensions weigh down your natural hair, and as they fall out, they will rip your natural hair out unless you're gentle. THIS WILL HAPPEN NO MATTER where you go, btw, there's really no way to avoid it, unless you get them in for a few days and then removed after, or you're an expert with these and know how to take care of your hair with tips in. You could also pay extra to have her remove them if you need that later. I untangle them manually, and so far, that's worked for me. Style as per usual, keeping in mind the bumps where the tips are attached/glued to your natural hair.
