Mucci is a master at correcting harsh color/demarcation lines from highlights or other color treated hair. If you have harsh lines, you need to book a "color melt" with Mucci. She uses a technique on wet hair to blend the harshest lines to create the most seamless transition for a natural look. It's crazy how much your hair can say about you. I had my first coloring with Mucci Rose last week, and I couldn't be happier! I was initially apprehensive about the required consultation, but it was well worth the extra time. Mucci took a look at my current color and at first commented on a lot of correction that she would need to do because of my previous colorist / use of purple shampoo. In my consultation I was told I would have to do an initial color melt to dye my hair darker (because of the purple shampoo / bad highlights), then do a full baby lights coloring, and then another color melt after to blend my roots. I was nervous because I knew this would be a lot of money! My actual appointment was scheduled two weeks later, and after my consultation I stopped using purple shampoo entirely. Because of this, Mucci said my hair had actually gotten WAY better and she wouldn't have to do the initial dark color melt. This made me feel so much better because I knew Mucci truly wanted the best for my hair and wasn't just trying to get extra $$$ out of me. The appointment for full babylights + colormelt took from 10am - 3:00pm, but it was a total pleasure the whole time. Mucci played Hulu + Netflix to keep me entertained, and I was also able to work + take calls from her studio. I found Mucci Rose through several hours of scouring the internet to find a colorist with the skill set to make my very dark Asian roots go blonde, and after looking at her online portfolio I was impressed enough to book a consultation. As with any beauty service such as getting hair done, consultations are critical to have so your stylist knows what you want and the both of you are on the same page as to what exactly you want done with your hair. For my consultation, Mucci and I discussed going blonde and that it would take multiple sessions to lighten my hair - which after years of trying to lighten my hair to a completely opposite color with one session, I obliged. The first round was expected to have a very faint dark brown which was fine but I enjoyed the color process the whole time. I'm not really one for small talk, so I appreciated the "quiet chair" experience and just witness Mucci do her magic and make my hair "very pretty" as what other people have complimented my hair on. After the coloring was done, the shampooing part came next which is something I've always been a bit weary about mostly because whenever I get my hair done at a salon it's always been handled with what I consider "rough" during the shampoo part, but Mucci was very gentle with my scalp! Also the products she uses are amazing quality and smell so really good! The final step is the styling and I always walk out with beautifully curled/waved hair and happy with the results! I wish I could give Mucci 10 stars!! I've been blonde forever and have very fragile hair that is hard to work with and she always hooks me up!! I am a hairstylist myself (and am extremely critical and hard to please), and have been to many talented hair dressers in the Seattle area and Mucci hands down is my go to girl. NEVER AGAIN! If you want to pay over $400 for a partial and leave looking the exact same as when you came in then book away!! Pictures of my before and after will be attached. I booked a babylight/ balayage appointment with Mucci. Prior to booking she asked for a picture of my hair to decide if I needed a full or partial. We decided on a partial and a cut. She also mentioned that if my hair takes longer to book an extra hour which costs $70. First time a stylist has asked me to book extra time cause pretty sure that's up to the stylist not the client. So I booked a partial babylight/balayage service which is for 180 minutes. So 3 hours to do a partial is more than enough time, but she recommends doing the extra hour just in case. AKA she's gonna milk the time she has so she can get that extra hour of pay. I've had FULL balayage/ babylight services done in under 5 hours so a partial should sure as hell never take that long, I don't care what your BS technique is. The technique is called SCAM ARTIST. I've had my hair done by celebrity stylists and never have I ever had a stylist charge because they take too long especially over 3 hours for partial. (Side note: the only reason I went to her is because I moved out of state. My stylist back home in LA is always booked 3-4 months out and I needed my hair done cause my regrowth was getting bad. So I was desperate. Hence why i agreed to pay that insane price because I figured it would be worth it.) So of course we went over the 180 minute mark, which I'm assuming she counts your haircut in that timeframe too which is even more hilarious. So I was charged the extra hour. She mentioned how her lighting was kinda off, so i assumed when i went outside or went home I could see my true hair color. I left and felt like my hair looked the same as when I showed up in her chair except i had a hair cut. I met up with friends after my appointment and no one noticed my hair. Even one of my friends said "I thought you were getting your hair done". That's when I knew it was literally the same. And for spending that much money there should sure as hell be a noticeable difference and not still look like I have regrowth. So I reached out to Mucci asking if she could add in more highlights because my regrowth still looked the same. (Mind you I've been having my hair done like this for the last 10 years. It's not like I came to her with all dark hair asking to be blonde. I just needed my blonde brought up, which is what I always do every 6 months. When I sat in Mucci's chair it had only been 5 months since my last balayage/ babylight service. And before that i had a foiliage service. Both times i left the salon looking BLONDE. Both techniques, both times I was blonde.) So when i reached out asking to have my blonde brought up or to add more highlights in she let her ego take over. She denied it looking the exact same, said I got what i paid for and that the technique she does is a rooty blonde. Even though her page says she's the beach blonde specialist LOL nothing about rooty. Idk if you've seen a beach blonde before, but they sure as hell don't look rooty. Also I never said I wanted rooty I booked for babylight balayage! I asked to bring my blonde up. Pretty simple, it's what I always have done. End of the story, she refused to give me the look that I paid to have done or even attempt to listen to what i was saying. She just kept saying to book a consultation so we can plan out for the next appointment. SHE REALLY THOUGHT I WAS GONNA PAY HER AGAIN?! I just threw $400+ down the toilet so my hair could look the exact same! So not only is she not gonna fix it, but I'm also out that money that I could use towards someone that actually knows how to do hair. This is how she runs her business and it's a complete joke. You would think you'd want your clients to be utterly happy with the results. Imagine if she would've responded like decent stylist by saying "im so sorry you aren't completely satisfied, come back in so we can make this right". And I would've been a forever client. You would've had more money in the long run. But now i will never ever go to you again and I will make sure I let everyone know what a scam artist stylist you truly are. I'm UPDATE: I mentioned in my review that Mucci asked me to come in for a consultation. She said to come in so we can "thoroughly discuss plans for next time". Implying that I would have to pay again, make another appointment just to get what I already paid to have done. But here's the thing, I wouldn't even want to sit in your chair after the verbal attacks I got from you and Lauren Francis. Threatening clients because you both have egos and clearly can't take feedback or handle situations like professionals. These two will then bash clients on their Instagram Live Feed. I was referred to Mucci Rose by a friend through her Instagram. I've been meaning to get my balayage retouched and brought higher and her portfolio looked very professional so I said why not try a new stylist? Since I've had my hair balayaged before, we were on the same page of how hair processes and what the results would be like. Mucci Rose is super friendly and the whole time I was there she made me feel comfortable and let me know what she was doing every step of the way. We had such a fun time chatting that 3 hours went by really fast. She even offers bottled water, cold brew, and even moscato for those over 21. ;) After my hair was toned, dried, and styled, she took pictures for her portfolio. It was fun and I'm glad I was able to help her add to her portfolio. It's really obvious that Mucci Rose cares about her clients and that she's very passionate about what she does. Mucci is the best colorist I've ever been to in all of Seattle. I have tried at least 5 or 6 colorists before finding Mucci on Instagram, and I knew she would be right for me. It was my first appointment seeing her and only a few weeks before my wedding but I knew I could trust her. She uses techniques that are taught in LA with celebrity stylists and is the only person who can do what she does here in Seattle. I've been seeing Mucci since she was a stylist at Seven Salon's downtown location (so, since 2015) and I've followed her since as she's opened up her own business in the Denny Triangle area. I've had balayages (full + partial) as well as babylights done with her over the years, and she's transformed my (at times) virgin hair to beautiful works of cool, blonde tones or to warm, caramel-y hues. Her services are expensive, but she does amazing work. In recent months, I've had blonde babylights done, and I've received so many compliments on my hair from other hair professionals and friends alike -- some people have even remarked how it looks like how my hair color has essentially been painted on! That's how detailed Mucci is. The products she uses are top-notch as well. My hair has consistently been healthy post-service, which I understand is not always the case with other stylists. I found Mucci Rose through Yelp while I was digging through countless reviews, trying to find someone who could do Asian hair. The salon is under the Aspira apartment complex, there was tons of construction around the area, so be prepared to circle around for parking! I used to go to Gene Juarez in Bellevue for my balayage just because it was easy for me. But I never came out of the salon truly loving my hair. Kind of sad especially for the price you are paying. Mucci Rose is definitely a perfectionist and takes her time with you. I wanted an ash brown color and she said that once it fades, it'll get ashier. The products that she used were great! I am a hairstylist, and MUCCI ROSE not only blows my mind with my own hair, but I look up to her as an artist. This is someone who truly cares about the details. Which I believe the details are the very thing that sets you apart from every other hairstylist. He style is very specific and she is well known for it! For good reason.
