Normally I don't do fish tacos. I had the grilled and my wife had the blackened Baja fish tacos. With all the fried food in the area I was tired of it. I tried the fish tacos and I was pleasantly surprised. We also got the shrimp scampi appetizer and it was cooked perfect. The good didn't taste like it was frozen. While enjoying our food we read a sign saying the place was haunted. It made our experience and enjoyment of the food. The service was a little slow but it wasn't unbearably bad. This is one of my favorite places to take visitors that need a seafood fix. It's not on the water, but more of a place "the locals" eat. Sometimes the service can be a little off, but it's rare. The food is always good and the margaritas aren't bad either. They have live music several nights a week. If you are looking for reasonably priced seafood that is great, this is the place. Wow, first time visiting and they mess up bad!! The rice that came with the lunch was WAY undercooked. I called the waitress over to have her let the kitchen know. When she comes back its "sorry, did you want another serving?". If they weren't in the process of cooking more rice, why would I want more raw rice? Great spot for lunch if you're trapped in town for work. Wide variety of dishes, good service, nice spot. Prices are on the higher side, but that's the cost of spending time in a tourist town. Condiments come in plastic cups. I've said it a thousand times, but please please please; if you're running a restaurant, avoid making this mistake. It automatically, single handedly knocks a couple notches off the experience for people like me. If you need a hint - use reusable containers. Glass or steel is OK. I was very disappointed. we have been to "Blackbeards, Too" many times since we moved to Rockport 4 years ago. Always fun. clean and excellent food Today we had a late celebratory Lunch, about 3pm. Restaurant was empty, many servers standing idle. We are very low maintenance customers. No one greeted us at the door or attempted to seat us in the empty dining area. ok, no big deal. Finally, after what seemed like 20 minutes a young man brought us menus. my menu had a sticky, gross substance on it. I immediately went to the women's room to wash my hands, no paper Towels to dry my hands. and the bathroom was dirty, as was the entire restaurant. I asked for extra napkins at table..we ordered drinks. no tall glasses avaliable, many more disappointing things added up to a very disappointing visit Our Lunch bill was $95.00. which is fine normally. We left our young, inexperienced server 20% but just saying, what happened to our former fave place, Too?? Will not be back anytime soon, especially in this time of covid?? read more

This is the third year in a row that we have eaten supper here. Every year we have not been disappointed. This year i didnt eat because i was stuffed from lunch but mom and dad got the all you can eat fried shrimp. They didnt have any complaints other than they ate too much. Haha. There is parking in a private lot by Blackbeard's and in the not-particularly-paved area across the street. If you park there, be mindful backing out onto the street! Service is hit or miss at Blackbeard's. It has never been supremely awful...it's just not so great at times. I've never had seafood at this location...only chicken and burgers. The Blackbeard's Own is a pretty tasty burger and worth returning for. Don't order coffee (I was tired...what can I say?). It's mostly just warm, murky water. read more

We just had a Father's Day meal here. We walked in and was greeted by a lady who seated us immediately. She gave us menus and took our drink orders. She quickly returned with our drinks and assured us our waitress is aware we were here. Within a short time, our waitress Isabel greeted us with a great smile. She was very informative and knowledgeable. She took our order. It wasn't long and our food was brought out by someone from the kitchen. Isabel made sure throughout our meal that everything was great. When we were done, the first lady who seated us came and cleared our table and made sure we didn't need anything else. Our waitress got our bill out to us quickly. We have eaten at this location forever and often. This was the best, friendliest service we have ever had here!!
