    Mushrooms

The mushrooms were delicious as recommended by our server! The fried oysters were cooked perfectly!! Hush puppies were delicious! The fried shrimp was great too! Server was very attentive and corrected the order that came out wrong! Cool little hometown cafe!

Lunch specials even in Saturday! Great food and great place!

Great food, service and ambiance. We both had tthe jumbo fried shrimp with fries and cole slaw and a cup of clam chowder. It was all excellent! The only reason for 4 stars was the fried chips they serve up front were not tasty and the hush puppies were kind of dry and tasteless. Might add another type of freebie up front like garlic bread and then some honey to the hush puppies!

Great service by attentive staff l. Fantastic home made chips for the table. And they had nice seafood decorations inside. The food wow , the oysters were fresh and the crab cakes and a nice amount of crab meat. They also offered a nice sauce to accompany the crab cakes. My date ordered the Mahi Mahi wow what a great fish when done right ! You cast taste the grill flavor on the fish amd they also worked on the presentation... nice touch... My Cajun pasta was awesome it came with scallops and shrimp and had a nice heavy season l. This is what you expect when you have Cajun in front of anything Wonderful location will visit again

My server Jasmin seated me and got me a beer and water while I looked over the menu. She brought my drinks and a basket of homemade potato chips...and they are very addicting! I decided to go with Jasmin's suggestion and ordered their homemade onion rings and the Mahi Alto Cocina. The onion rings were good and the batter light...very good appetizer or side for a meal. The Mahi Alto Cocina was very different, but in a good way. The fish was cooked just right and the cream sauce was mellow but the pico really made the dish "pop" with the raw tastes combined with the cooked fish and warm cream sauce. The crab is a nice touch but doesn't add much to the dish, but the combination of the sauce, fish, and pico was really good and unusual. The side of veggies and rice were a perfect compliment to the dish made for an overall delicious meal. Great food and excellent service!

The restaurant is a lot bigger on the inside and it looks on the outside. Service was quick and responsive. The food was fantastic.

We had an amazing experience for lunch. Service was great, food was great, ambiance was great. We will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Oh yeah,I remember now. Pre Pandemic! Does anyone remember that? I came to the coast in December of 2019 to visit my favorite town in Texas, Port Aransas . There's nothing quite as fulfilling as an empty town and beach. But the only time that's available is the truly " off season "of winter. As I said in my first review,I'd come inland for the day because a bitterly cold front moved thru. I found this place and it was perfect. So,finding myself around lunchtime in Corpus,I remembered. So,I dialed up Salt Water Grill on the Yelponator and headed over. They had maintained strong reviews and Star ratings over the last four years so I knew I was fixing to eat some great seafood. I decided to pull over and phone in my order. Perfect, friendly on the other end took my order expeditiously and said 10 minutes. I arrived in 5, was enthusiastically greeted, paid and off a beverage while waiting. Soon my order was ready and wisked away to a local park where I enjoyed fresh gulf coast fish and seafood . Reasonable prices, great service, comfortable inside vibe, extrodenaire prices for 2024. All's I can say is... Go!

Service was quick and top notch! The best crab cakes ever!!! I also had the coconut shrimp platter.... Yummy!!!! The dipping sauce was pineapple sweet chili sauce... superb! Also had the shrimp and scallop ceviche---- perfect amount of heat and tang from the lime juice. My Drink was the spiked lemonade made with house made fresh squeezed lemonade and vodka. Refreshing! Will definitely be back when we visit the coast again! Busy restaurant, plenty of seating, a little loud, but hey... people like this place!

    Mahi Tacos.

Craving a little seafood and ended up at SaltWater Grill. Started with a couple of apps, crab stuffed shrimp and onion rings, but the house chips were better than both. Though neither were bad. Mahi tacos for my entree were pretty flavorful. Crowded on this Saturday night, but server was attentive.

Food - excellent! We ordered the fried shrimp and oyster platter, fried fish platter, and avocado and bacon ranch salad. All very tasty. And the house chips are quite spectacular as well. Service - so amazingly good. Jose was our server, and I feel like I want to be his best friend. He's pretty cool. He also boxed up some house chip for us to enjoy later. Who does that?? Ambiance - great! It's pretty nice on the inside. I highly recommend this establishment.

We arrived around 4:15 pm. Restaurant was not busy at all. We were greeted and seated promptly. Justin was our server. He arrived expeditiously to our table greeted us got our drink order and asked if we wanted appetizers. It was our first visit and I only knew what I researched on Yelp. Justin was very helpful. He suggested the mushrooms, and we ordered that and raw oysters. Both were delightfully good. I had questions about the entrees and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. I ordered the Blackened Redfish w/Caesar Salad and Rice. The salad was awesome. The touch of shaved Parmesan uplifted my experience. The lettuce was cold and crisp the way it should be. My entree was presented well, served at proper food temp, and tasty. My wife ordered the Mahi Mahi that was served with Rice and grilled Asparagus. The fish was cooked perfectly, the rice was a little cool to her pallet which was surprising to me, and the asparagus was cooked just right. I ordered key lime pie for dessert and it was very good. My wife ordered bread pudding to go, and ate it later she said it was over the top good. The restroom was clean, but is in need of a makeover. The overall experience was very good, and I really enjoyed Justin and the service he provided.

Since my childhood favorite place was no longer around (and you locals know exactly what drive-in I'm thinking about), I noticed that Banda's opened up a new location that had a drive-thru! Having been around since the 80's, Banda's was a favorite of my dad's back in the day so I HAD to go by and try it out. I ordered the 3F, 3S plate which came with a roll and three sizable fried potato wedges. To my own surprise, was blown AWAY by the potato wedges. They were well seasoned, perfectly fried, and tasted just delicious. The fish filets were a decent size, fried extra crispy and tasted good as well, albeit only one of the filets was plump and flaky inside. The other two were on the thin side. The shrimp was also battered well and a good size and tasted good too. The tartar sauce was also good, although not as good as my old favorite place... but nobody has tartar sauce like that anymore. All around, it was a satisfying meal and left me with a smile on my face thinking about old memories of my dad frying fish from Banda's Fish Market at home. The service was very friendly and the price point of the meal was fair. Finally, a "new" fast-fish place rises out of the ashes in the city I call home. I'll be back.

The waitress arrived and took my order, their margaritas are large and strong. They give you complimentary chips and fish ceviche with salsas, which were excellent. The green salsa had quite a kick. We ate there, vs. to-go, they have a fairly large seating area. They also seemed like they are doing a lot of to-go orders. We were seated and they brought out ceviche and fried tortia chips and crackers. It was delicious and had a little spice with a really nice fresh taste. The two salsa's were also very good, one was on the milder side and one was hot. My wife had the Camarones Zarandeados (Grilled shrimp with home sauce). It comes with several shrimp and rice. It is marked mild, my wife thought it was a bit spicy but loved it and eat it all. I had the Huachinago Al Gusto (Red Snapper natural) with Diabla sauce. It comes with rice, a piece of bread and a salad. The picture shows it with fries but I didn't get any. I was okay with that as it was very filling and delicious! A musician came in and played some music on his guitar and sang, that added to the entire experience. If I lived here I'd be visiting here a lot.
