That is one of my favorite shrimp dishes thanks to my sister in law who makes a wonderful version of them. What I was served as shrimp and grits was nothing like I expected. Tortuga's makes a batch of very flavorful grits, puts them in a loaf pan, chills them, slices them, and fries them. Then they top those with perfectly cooked shrimp in an amazingly delicious sauce. The entire dish was absolutely stunning, but I still won't call that "shrimp and grits". Sarah, you're still number one. Most of the family had a craft cocktail or two with the meal. When I saw the bill, I was just a bit shocked that it was so high.
