    Anchor Balls

Anchor Balls as an appetizer - great flavor! The fisherman's platter is a lot of food! Great sized shrimp & the redfish was delicious. Sitting at the picnic table enjoying the cool breeze and watching the water was awesome! Definitely must try if you're in the area!!

    Mango Habanero fish!

Mango Habanero fish! I can't do spicy foods but the waitress recommended trying the sauce and as she said it was less spicy than I thought. It turned out to be so very delicious. I hear it is their most popular dish and I can see why. Great place . Would come again! No complaints!

The food was very good and very fresh! You can tell chef wolf takes pride in what comes out of the kitchen! We even asked to meet him (my husband is a chef and rarely does that). I wish I would have gotten our servers name...she was so sweet and personable (she makes the staff snickerdoodle cookies!)We went back because the food and service was some of the best. The ambiance is great as it is right on the water! Definitely worth a visit!!

We are so impressed by this little water front spot. The menu is fantastic, staff so accommodating, great breeze and views, and drinks (smoked old fashioned with your choice of whiskey, chips, and bitters for $3 over the shot price) are all incredible. Puts some of the Port A and Padre Island spots to shame!

Even though there was an hour wait, we enjoyed cocktails along the boardwalk and listened to live music. We even saw a dolphin; it was delightful!

Lovely Marina to look at while the Moon comes out!

First time we ate at Coasters won't be the last! Chicken Tortilla Soup, Shrimp Scampi, Blackened Redfish with Risotto, and Fisherman's Platter for dinner with Crème Brûlée to finish. Excellent flavors and generous portions. Service was fantastic. If you go ask for Avery. She took good care of us with a great personality too! The patio was clean and the grounds were nice. Pretty views of Conn Harbor Channel.

A surprising menu for a small beachy vibe. The food is well prepared and the sauces are amazing. Highly recommend!

We were a party of 15 Guests and were there for a gathering of monthly Birthday celebrations of four Corpus Christi area Friends! We were greeted with a smile and seated promptly as an area was reserved for our party of 15. Our Waitress was "Ashley"! She was Very nice, smiled often, was very patient and extremely efficient in wrangling everyone's order. Ashley had a great attitude and was super in every aspect of her job and with everything she did. As with anything in life, her ability to effectively communicate with her Customers was Stellar. She had minor assistance from other servers and for the most part she handled our party by herself and continued to provide service to other large parties in the same room. WOW! She took our orders in a calm and effective manner and remembered all the tiny details that any table could impose on "Wait" Staff. Her poise, superb ability to communicate effectively and a Wonderful attitude made our stay a memorable one. Mistakes NONE! Complaints; some steaks had gristle on them. Really! That was a very minor issue and all agreed that it did not curb our appetite or spoil our celebration. The food was good to very good and accompanying condiments for everyone came in a quick and timely manner. Our party highly recommends this Restaurant and we keep coming back! As for Ashley, She is a KEEPER! PS: Our table gave her a round of Applause for her dynamic Customer service! Butter Churn If…read moreyou're anywhere near Aransas Pass and you haven't eaten at Butter Churn, you're flat-out missing out. From the moment you walk in, you can feel it -- this isn't some corporate chain going through the motions. This place is dialed in. It is probably one of the most put-together restaurants I've ever had the privilege of visiting. Every detail feels intentional. Clean lines, modern touches, spotless floors, organized buffet, upbeat energy -- they hit every mark. The décor has personality without being overdone. It feels like a true family restaurant -- warm, authentic, and welcoming -- but with a level of polish most places never achieve. The service? Exceptional. Real smiles. Real hospitality. You're not just another table. You feel seen and taken care of. Now let's talk about the brisket. Unbelievable. I had to ask how they were doing it, and Mark was more than happy to walk me through his process. When brisket is smoked low and slow -- and they smoke theirs for 20 hours -- here's what happens: * The visible fat cap mostly renders down. * The intramuscular fat melts. * Collagen breaks down into gelatin. * The melted fat soaks deep into the meat fibers. So by the time it hits your plate? You don't see fat. You taste rendered fat and gelatin inside the meat. For $14 all-you-can-eat lunch, I kept waiting for the catch. There isn't one. I probably ate close to a pound and a half of brisket myself and still wanted more. Tender, perfectly seasoned, smoky without being overpowering -- the kind of brisket that makes you stop mid-bite and just nod your head because you know you found something special. You walk out wondering how they're not charging double. Everything about this place reflects pride -- pride in the food, pride in the service, pride in the entire experience. It's consistent. It's clean. It's efficient. And that kind of consistency is rare. This is only my second five-star rating ever. That's how serious I am about it. I apologize for not getting a picture of the brisket, I got too carried away with eating it. I live in Corpus Christi, and honestly, that's probably a good thing. If I lived any closer, I'd be there every single day. If you want authentic, high-quality food served by people who genuinely care about what they're doing -- Butter Churn is it. Five stars. No hesitation.

They made a great aperol spritz. The appetizer bread was so so good, highly recommend. The coconut shrimp were good, but nothing special. The oysters Rockefeller were a bit of a let down. They didn't advertise some kind of meat to be in them on the menu but there was when it came out and it threw off the whole flavor of the bite. Tasted like hot pocket pepperoni. Once we sat down inside the restaurant, we ordered the stone crab claw special. Had never tried those and they were great, just messy. For entrees, we got the chicken piccata and a red fish special of the night. Both were great! Dessert was a delicious crème brûlée and a key lime pie that was more like a key lime pudding. Service was also a little slower inside. Overall, good choice for a nice dinner in Port A!

Lots of things to unpack here…read more We started at the 1886 bar and had a GREAT time. They had a small, but good bourbon selection. The locals that were in there were friendly and chatty. Lauren and Madison were behind the bar and they were friendly and fun. Went to our dinner reservation at the time and were sat immediately. Taylor, our server, greeted us promptly. She was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Their wine list was small, but had some decent selections that were priced very reasonably. She rattled off the daily specials and we went for all three! 1/2 pound of Stone crabs in a garlic butter sauce, Crab stuffed flounder over wild rice with Pontchartrain sauce, and for dessert we had banana pudding with bananas foster. The stone crabs were good. Lots of garlic in the butter and cooked well. The dessert was AMAZING. We've never thought about that combination before and it worked really well. For the entree, the sauce was incredibly salty - like over the top salty - almost inedible salty. The crab and flounder were edible, but the salt leeched into it as well. The rice where most of the sauce was not good. It was obvious that no one from the kitchen ever tasted it. We didn't send it back and muscled through it. I did mention it to the server at the end of the meal. I was polite and starred by saying " a problem can't be fixed if someone doesn't know about it." She was apologetic and said she would tell the chef. I was a little disappointed no one came to the table to apologize or that no compensation was provided at all. Not expected - would have been appropriate, though. I've since read other reviews that talk about the saltiness of many of the dishes. The atmosphere is cute and rustic. It's a small room with about 60 seats.
