Definitely a nice place. We had great service and the food is definitely good. The only reason I'm not giving 5 starts is because you could still smell the cigarettes from the next door bar, which is open so there is no way the smoke can be kept confined in there so if you are eating at this restaurant you better ask for a table far in the back if you don't like the smell of cigarettes. This restaurant is located inside the Peppermill Hotel . Definitely this restaurant fits the bill. Again, in the gambling area smoke all you want, but they allow kids in the hotel so yeah. Not well designed or thought well about. We order Huevos Racheros (I wish I would've added bacon, sausage or event Mexican chorizo) it was really good but missing some meat. My husband ordered the breakfast power bowl. He liked it but he said it was a bit too sour at some points. My sister ordered the southwest chorizo scramble. She loved it! I didn't get to try it. I was afraid of losing a limb if I did lol :D They have a café next to it (it's all inside the hotel) and it seemed to have more of the sweet side of things. Atmosphere is wonderful, very peaceful, beautiful decorating and spacious. Service was very good as always. Rachel was polite, friendly and I was well taken care of. I had a BLT with turkey with a watermelon salad. The sandwich was delicious. Lots of bacon, cooked properly. The sunflower sprouts were awesome, really elevated the sandwich. A short notch below fine dining with fine dining level of food! KALEOB was a great server answering our questions and giving us welcomed opinions. He even split the plates for us which was a wonderful surprise! I got the prime rib sandwich that was stuffed with a ton of meat and tucked into a sturdy toasted white bun/roll. It also includes a side salad choice! I felt like I had a prime rib dinner, minus all the cutting and chewing needed with the usual slab of ribs meat. All in all it is good. For the price I'd say ridiculous! A casino should have cheaper food but of course blame it on the economy. I had the Benedict and it was good. I've had better at other restaurants. Potatoes are good nothing that a cup of catchup can make tastier. Coffee was better than most places and of course service was good and place is quiet and comfortable away from the mail casino. On a Saturday evening, our server was top notch. Professional, kind and attentive. Although my husband asked for his prime rib medium well, he received it medium rare. He is more patient than I am so, he rolled with it. Overall the prime rib was fine. As for my garden melt, it was super tasty! Spinach, tomatoes, avocado, mustard aioli, and jack cheese on sourdough, yum! I got a taste of the watermelon salad and did not care for the herbs (oregano?) on it. Chocolate gelato was much better though. The next evening, we dined here on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, we had the most inattentive server. He seemed like he was a nice person but, he was overwhelmed. He explained that he was serving a large party in the back. He kept apologizing for having us wait and for his lack of service to us. He brought me hot water which was useless because he had neglected to bring the tea bag which I waited quite some time for. Anyway, my fettucine alfredo was ok. My husband waffled brioche grilled cheese and tomato bisque were good. Since this visit, we dined elsewhere at the Peppermill which was even busier restaurants, yet we received better service. For Father's Day 2021, my family went to Biscotti's. My brother recommended it because he has comps at the Peppermill. I agreed it was a good idea because 1) I have never been there, 2) the Peppermill has quality food, 3) air conditioning! This is our first Father's Day since dad passed away. We planned to get lunch and then head to the cemetery . Due to high heat temperatures, I suggested breakfast and then cemetery so we weren't in the heat. Thats where Biscotti's comes in. I was able to see menu the night before. I was told I could have corn. So I ordered the Nuevos Huevos Rancheros. So far, I feel fine (I have celiac disease so I have to avoid certain foods). Besides giving me no pain, the food is very delicious! I also allowed myself some decaf coffee. Each person at the table that ordered coffee, had their own little pitcher of creamer! Eating out with celiac disease, is difficult. I do ask questions about ingredients and go by my own judgments of knowing my body. So far, so good. This meal had black beans, corn masa, real corn, pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream . I did not get an uncomfortable full feeling. I will return to Biscottis and try other options. read more

Cannot even really justify 3 stars for the price. The service is alright and I admit the atmosphere is original. So I decided not to give it one star due to these qualities but as far as worth goes it's a bust. How can you justify a two egg breakfast for $15? Let alone if you add any meat you secretly add in another $6 charge? Who pays $21 for a two egg breakfast? I mean do you realize I can literally walk to the market and pickup a dozen eggs for $1.99? It's not like you dress them up or even have anyone who understands what eggs prepared over-medium in the back is supposed to look like. The eggs came out slightly over-easy. Not the worst thing. The food came out fast and the servers came a bunch of times asking us if we were finished yet. But $21 just seems so high to charge. Everything at the Peppermill has been extravagant and I think I'm going to write a review about how horrible they've been next. Here's my thinking, first of $6 extra for a meat charge, it's not some fancy restaurant depot cut it's a regular Farmer John brand sausage the kind you get 12 for $4.99 so here you're getting up-sold on about 82 cents worth of bacon about 500% The way they have it on the menu didn't really make it clear. So on a two egg plate, if I get it without any sausage or bacon then it's $15? Really? What an exuberant overcharging waste of a meal ticket. Why would you want to get overcharged here? Is it a convenience fee for not having to leave the casino for eating? Very unhappy with my $21 breakfast. I haven't been to the restaurant itself since COVID began but I have been to the area next to the restaurant that has deserts and gourmet coffee. No matter where I go in Reno for dinner I always end up at Biscotti's for dessert. They have a vast selection of Gelato. My favorites are, mango, coconut, pistachio, and strawberry. Due to COVID they aren't serving ice cream on cones yet and I hope they bring them back soon because they have these huge waffle cones dipped in chocolate with different nuts and sprinkles on them. I need those cones back in my life. They make fresh crepes as well! Another of my favorite deserts here is the coconut cake and the Train Wreck brownie (huge enough for 3 people). They also have cheesecake and macaroons! I recently tried the big pink macaroon, it has fresh raspberries inside and heavy whipped cream. It's a little on the sweeter side but delicious! I just tried it because it was beautiful. I mean, what girl doesn't love pink. Their baristas always get my coffee on point and they are very friendly and courteous. Biscotti's continues to impress and keeps us coming back for more. Every so often, my wife and I will spend a night or two here at the Peppermill for a little staycation (we were married at the Peppermill) and will usually eat breakfast or lunch at Biscotti's before heading home. The food and service is still great. We were greeted and seated quickly. With the exception of Cafe Milano, all restaurants on property are operating at 50% capacity (covid) and thus, reservations are currently required. When we arrived, the Manager wiped down and cleaned our booth before seating us (pretty impressive to see the Manager doing this). Once seated we were informed that they are currently using digital menus (I'm sure if you don't have a smartphone that they'll give you a physics menu). You simply open the camera app on your phone and put it over the QR code on the table and tap the notification that pops up. This will take you to the menu. I wasn't feeling especially adventurous today so I just ordered a plain old egg & cheese omelette with potato's. They certainly don't skimp on the servings because my omelette was huge! My wife ordered the Power Bowl. It had avocados, black beans, egg, radish, and some kind of sauce. I didn't try it but she raves about it. All in all, it was another great experience at Biscotti's. No complaints. Despite all the covid madness they seem to be handling it well without sacrificing the level of service I'm used to receiving here. As usual, we'll be back again. read more

I usually am not one to write reviews especially since I work in the food service and understand a long shift, but we came to this restaurant after watching a basketball game to have the worst experience. I had ordered the avocado toast and instead of telling me to order something else they still tried bringing it out and brought literal soggy bread and half an avocado on a two separate plates... I was so gagged by this situation and the fact that even as he was putting the dish in front of me and noticing i physically had a reaction they still didn't say anything to help out the situation until a different waiter came up because it was obviously not what I expected. For a restaurant that is decently priced I would expect better food and service especially since it was supposed to have a poach egg and they never even tried to give me an egg. Even after the situation I still had to ask for the side of fruit it was suppose to come with At any moment they could've given us a discount or completely took it off the check considering they even put this dish in front of me. I am very understanding over a lot of situations but this is actually crazy especially considering the way they reacted, at any point they could've asked me if I wanted to just order something else because they don't have the supplies they needed and I wouldn't have been bothered, but they didn't. We enjoyed two delicious meals at Biscottis when we stayed at the Peppermill recently, breakfast and lunch. We found the portion size and quality of the food to be outstanding, I was honestly seriously impressed. Most casino all day dining restaurants aren't very good but we were blown away by how yummy the food was!! The tortilla soup was a beautiful bowl of soup with lots of awesome toppings, the clam chowder was loaded with clams and bacon, creamy and delish! We also ordered the prime rib sliders, such tender, delicious meat, it was hecka good! Also ordered the inside out crab rangoons WOW!!! Incredibly good and such a unique dish, loved the Chinese sausage in it, what a treat! For breakfast we ordered the Nuevos Huevos, it was killer good, loved that masa cake underneath and such a huge portion! The vegetables were varied and fresh, the chunks of chicken plentiful. I ordered the warm raspberry bread pudding with white chocolate sauce for dessert. It was fabulous. While working Reno we have been staying at Peppermill and sometimes draggging back out to the car seems like an event in itself. That leaves eating at the casino a usual thing, despite the prices being on high side here, like $20 and up for most things. First time I ate here, I had i high hopes because my husband said it was really good. I got the chicken Piccata and I left more than half. They hadn't seasoned the chicken at all, and it was swimming in butter/oil pond. My husband had eaten this dish before and said chicken was seasoned when he had it, so maybe it depends on who is on kitchen. The flat bread pizza looks better than the flavor, however this was same night as chicken so maybe it has room to improve, as well. We split checks down and my ticket alone was $45 for just me drinking only water. I had the bread pudding and dinner. Yikes sticker shock. We went back last night and I got the prime rib dip and despite the very young waiter, and i mean so young he put his arms out like an airplane to go get our desserts. But he misheard me when I said prime rib dip not the actual prime rib. The music at adjacent bar was crazy loud so I will give him that. He was nice and switched me out pretty quick. The sandwich was really good. Fries room temp but they actually held up the flavor and were really good. The horseradish that came with it, at first thought they messed up and gave me whip cream - no it's like whip cream texture with horseradish in it. Not a fan of melt in my mouth dessert like horseradish. Service here is slow and I am not about to mention Covid as excuse, but both times we sat more than 5 to 10 mins easily waiting for waiter. I ordered carrot cake and vanilla gelato for dessert and the waiter brought it to me in plastic container from the deli next door and gelato in a paper cup. Not plated. The carrot cake was $9 and one scoop gelato $4. He did go grab me a plate but by time he got back, I was ready to go and the cake stayed in it's to go container. I would pick this last place to eat here but would go back. Milano has much better food in my opinion but both are good options if ur not leaving casino. read more

It's a miss and hit but so far, every-time I stop by I have great experience from the service to their food. This restaurant has so many options from Asian fusion, to Mexican fusion, to American diner. It's weird mixture of different fusion but there's always that one good entree. The appetizer; chicken wrap was very yummy. The sauce is little salty so I avoid using any dipping sauce that comes with it. The main meals; - Jumbo Shrimp scampi was very creamy and reminded me of Alfredo pasta but more creamier and has more flavor. -Turkey club sandwich comes with fries (you can chose option: fries, salad, fruits. Very basic sandwich that you can't go wrong with. -fajitas: you can different meat options. - steak -chicken - shrimp - combo (chose 2 out of those 3 options) You get flour or corn tortilla. I loved fajitas every time I come here and their seasoning for the veggies and meat is great. I recommend making reservations prior to coming here. It was Superbowl Sunday and I had plans to meet with my coworker for a pedicure before her party at Peppermill. I decided to tag along to the casino so I could place a bet on LA. The whole casino was a party, the game was on everywhere you turned, so I decided to hang out for a bit. I won $100 on the penny slots and decided to spend my earnings on dinner. I searched the menus of all the restaurants, but the avocado egg rolls, the salads and the grilled cheese all sounded like tasty choices. Biscotti's was right outside the Superbowl viewing party, so my coworkers joined me for the halftime show. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was an elevated twist to the comfort classic. Havarti and muenster on brioche was then grilled in the liege wafflemaker. The already creamy tomato bisque came with a dollop of creme fraiche for that added rich tartness. I ordered the watermelon salad for my side because for a different, lighter option. Watermelon chunks with sliced strawberries and I think it was diced jicama was a refreshing choice, but probably better to order during the summer months. The avocado egg rolls were stuffed with avocado with sundried tomatoes peppered throughout for extra flavor. The dipping sauce was a ginger cilantro with sweet notes. Three stars always gets a bad wrap, so to be clear, I love Biscotti's. Routinely great service; Shane and others know their regulars and give them the same top-notch attention they give people visiting for the first time, especially my guests from out of town. I'm a fan of the salmon salad with generous servings of fish and ample rough greens. Sweet dried fruit tossed in contrasts well with the savory. Daily lunch soups are usually on point. And sandwiches like the salmon, and the chicken? Stellar, hearty servings, nothing meager about them. I've lived here for nearly 3 years and Biscottis has been my favorite breakfast place, both by myself and when I have guests in town. Breakfast food, but a step above. And the lunch/dinner items, also of quality, and despite the casino restaurant price point: worth it. Which brings me to the sad news: breakfast fare is on the decline, so stick to lunch. The decline is almost to the level of Top Deck at CalNev, which makes me shiver just to write. That's upsetting. Especially since the slipping seems to stem from a deliberate attempt to cut financial corners, and in the weirdest places. Two examples from several instances: 1. The bourbon vanilla french toast used to be plated with an artful smear of sauce, and a dollop or side of the sweet mascarpone cream cheese. Look at photos from just a year or two back and you will see what I mean. But, no longer. If you order this plate with the eggs, it's presented like the most blasé french toast you'd find at a Denny's or other cheap diner. You have to request the cream cheese accompaniment. The eggs are equally dull. There is no attempt to garnish or season, not even a modest salt and cracked pepper, let alone a little greenery with some chives or fresh herbs folded in. It's not as though they don't have any on hand as they do use it for other plates. I also typically add a chicken-apple sausage on the side. These used to be two hearty double-thumb-thick sausages sliced down the middle and grilled. Delicious. Now? A couple skinny links with no discernible apple inside...the kind of sausage that might remind you of the charred, dense, pinky-thin sausages you'd get in your church basement during after-service pancake breakfast. Not the kind of thing I like to reminisce about. 2. Even my go-to Nuevo Huevos Rancheros--that I never order anywhere else-- has become hit or miss. I always loved the plating and the fresh ingredients. But the last two times: stale chips, and beans that looked as though they'd been sitting on the plate developing that "skin" on top for a bit too long. STIR! Then plate. Literally takes less than two seconds, just like a plate garnish for your once-wonderful French toast and eggs. I don't buy the excuse of, "just a casino restaurant." Peppermill is the top of the town. Its restaurants are quality. Biscotti's USED to be a step above their downstairs brother, Cafe Milano, but with Biscotti's inconsistency and apparent cutting of corners that once made them the finer of breakfast dining, you might as well go downstairs for the cheap seats. read more

My wife and I decided to check this place out. We have been in Peppermill many times before but had never been to Biscotti's - we actually didn't know it existed mostly because it is on the west side near the conference room areas and located away from the casino. Since we were there on a Sunday they have a Sunday Brunch option but it was a little pricey for us - $54.95/per person. We asked the hostess if we were able to order off the regular menu instead of the brunch and she stated yes. Therefore, we decided to have a seat at the bar where we were greeted by William. He was quick to take our drink orders and provide us menus. We decided we really liked the feel of the place - it was nice to be away from the casino area while still having the option to play after we ate. We perused the menu and my wife decided on the Fish and Chips while I ordered the North Beach Burger with no thousand island. We enjoyed chatting with William and he was able to easily manage the drink orders coming in while being friendly and efficient. Our food arrived in a timely manner and looked delicious. We both enjoyed our meals. My burger was excellent with the crispy parmesan crusted sourdough. My wife didn't feel like the batter on the fish was fully cooked - it felt a little soft for her liking. Fiancé and I had dinner and drinks here Thursday night. We started off with chicken wings as an appetizer then I ordered the BBQ bacon cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce with side salad and he had salmon melt with watermelon salad. I had tequila with lime and he had Rodney Strong Merlot and they were good. He also ordered the apple pie bread pudding and said it was amazing!! Everything was good and service was great. They are following COVID procedures which makes you even more comfortable eating there. Will return when back in town. read more
