This place is pretty nice. The PMS pizza and pasta here is good. Haven't really tried anything else. But there's a reason why certain plates are appetizers because you can only have a little bit of it or you get sick. Last time I came here we ordered the Seafood Quesadilla appetizer....it was so good a buddy ordered it as a entree this time....However, it was not as good this time around... The portions here are really big...you will have leftovers and leave really full. read more

Amazing service! Sunday brunch for $35 is out of this world. King crab legs, rack of lamb, and prime rib to name a few. Also it comes with all you can drink champagne. For locals with a players card it is only $30. The best meal for that price anywhere! Also the desert room for Sunday brunch is fantastic. This place is my favorite breakfast buffet on Sunday's!!! read more

After eating with family in café Milano another restaurant in the Peppermill, I left happy. We sat up at the bar to play the slots and have a drink with our meal. I played it safe and went with the burger... And the burger was awesome.... The bartender was very friendly and helpful. A couple nest to me from out of town wanted to try a drink that they saw online. So they showed him the recipe and the bartender made it up for them. :) Because the slots take up the bar I thought we were going to have to move to a table to eat but they gave us trays that hooked onto the bar. ( I should've taken a pic of them) Any way it was cute and we didn't have to stop on a good run on the slots.. Then when I checked in with Yelp, you get a drink FREE with your meal... So yeah, all and all Free drink, trays and left with bill paid and money in our pockets form the slots.... read more

My husband and I have been to Biscotti's once before a couple of years ago and the food and service were great from what I can remember. This past weekend we stayed at Peppermill and decided to try the Sunday brunch since there have been great reviews talking about it. As expected, the variety of food was excellent, from crab legs, raw oysters, to lamb, sushi and egg Benedicts. The dessert table was very impressive! Our server was very attentive. The only reason why I knocked a few stars off was because a few hours after eating the brunch food at Biscotti's, I started having symptoms of potential food poisoning- abdominal cramping, diarrhea, nausea, chills, and feeling warm (I don't know if I had a fever since I didn't have a thermometer with me). I had such a rough night with the upset stomach and diarrhea that I couldn't sleep that night. There were only a few differences between what my husband (he didn't get sick) ate and what I ate. I had a few pieces of raw oysters, shrimp cocktail, a piece of the tuna lettuce wrap, and some other stuff from the dessert table. I thought maybe it was the oysters that did me in since that's a common food that causes food-borne illness. After brunch, I had nothing else to eat that could have made me sick. I'm back home now but still trying to get over the illness. I don't know if it was just random that my body ended up not agreeing with the food or something else. I would love to give Biscotti's a higher review based on taste and service, but my experience and health after eating the food matters more to me. read more

the worse service I have ever gotten at a conference hotel. I was completely ignored. I had to basically trip a waitress going to get her tray to get a drink of water. Even after bringing it to attention service was terrible. I waited to post until I was out of the hotel, because its one of the few restaurants there. the food was okay, I ate there twice, but service was never great. We were a small group for a conference of about 300, should not have overwhelmed with a couple of eating choices. The tortilla soup was weird, it had an ear of corn in it. The wedge salad was good. The service at the pastry bar outside was good.. the girls working there were helpful. read more

I dropped by Biscotti's a week ago when I was in town staying at Peppermill. No reservation was required and the place was tame with only a handful of people sprawled at the bar or sitting for an early dinner. We were quickly seated at a booth and both my GF and I had a glass of water and were offered a basket of bread. Unfortunately, the water tasted like tap water and the bread was going stale. I ordered the Chef's Seasonal Soup, which was a Manhattan Clam Chowder, and the South Beach Pastrami Reuben. The soup tasted like it came from a Progresso soup can. The Reuben, however, was a good size portion and was decent. The thing had a heaping mound of pastrami that almost feed two people. Four stars for the Reuben, two stars for the water, bread, and soup. At least the waitress was nice and service was good. read more

Wanted to give this place a higher rating but the food was sub par and over priced for what we ordered. Do not recommended the avocado rolls, it had a weird taste. I LOVE avocado rolls an get them almost every time I see them on the menu, these however had an off taste (almost sour) that I could not put my finger on. Side note: my family are huge calamari fans so when we saw it on the menu we asked if it was rings or steak an she was very confused on what we meant. Once she sort of figured it out she said it was steak. Needless to say she was wrong an the table next to us had an we stared quite longingly at it. **recommend the French Onion soup They follow through on check in request! read more

The service was excellent but the food was not tasty.... I had a very friendly male waiter. I've never seen a waiter also make drinks... But he made me a really good cocktail.... I ordered the prime rib dip sandwich. It was very bland.... The fries were good. I found it funny that one of the chefs was out at one of the tables behind me paying special attention to this older couple who was eating there. The chef was bragging about what an incredible cook he was and about all the things he can cook so amazingly..... But my sandwich was seriously so bland.... No seasoning..... It tasted like nothing.... Maybe I tried the wrong thing? I still had a nice experience. I'd try something else next time. read more

Had the French Onion Soup here which was rather underwhelming along with the rest of my meal. The price was fairly steep for this area. The atmosphere was nice. Very tall ceilings and elaborate architecture. I assume that's where a lot of the money is going. read more

Came here with a group for Mother's Day. The place wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. Our server was nice, but our food took over an hour to come out. We watched another group come in, eat, hang out for a bit and leave, well before we received our orders. Our babies were irritable by that time, and our bellies grumbling. The Parmesan butter tasted like the artificial filling in a combo pretzel. As for our entrees...a friend of mine always clears his plate, but he barely ate his fish and chips. The fish was very greasy and the bottom was soggy. He said the fries didn't taste right. Others didn't seem to enjoy their food either. I thought my prime rib was pretty good, though nothing worth rave reviews. We thought the least they could do was offer free dessert, or a small discount on our meals since the food took so long to come out...but that never happened. If they had done more to make things right, we would have been more than willing to leave a generous tip. We stay at the Peppermill often & I finally got around to dining at Biscotti's today, but I will most likely not be returning. However, the desserts we bought from the dessert display nearby were very good! read more

Friends took us here on a recent visit to Reno. Overall, we liked the place very much. We ordered a coconut shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were very large, and only 3 to an order. I think 4 would be better, for splitting, even if they raised the price a little. I ordered a Chilean Sea Bass done "Asian" style. I was a little surprised to find it sitting in a bowl of noodles, but it was delicious, and healthy. My partner ordered Prime Rib. Both of us agreed it was the best Prime Rib we had ever had. So tender, you could practically cut it with your fork. Seasoned perfectly and prepared exactly as ordered. The bread served was thick, crusty artisan style with an interesting spread. We ordered a side dish of asparagus, and they were simply steamed, and tasty. A nice snap to them, but still cooked just right. The service was good, but a bit odd in that we had several different servers during our meal. read more

I was only here for the gelato, and it did not disappoint. I have a hard time finding coconut gelato anywhere , but I found it here! It was pretty cheap too - a generous scoop for only 2.50. My sister had mango though, and she said it was way too sweet. I wish they had toppings : ( read more

Went there last Friday night after hunting for a decent late-night place at the peppermill. Just about every place was closed (on a Friday night, go figure), so needless to say, this was not my first choice. Honestly though, I was pleasantly surprised ! Our server was super helpful and accommodating, even though we were one of his last tables. The bf and I shared a sampler appetizer and fettuccine alfredo. The wings in the sampler were awesome- tangy, crunchy and spicy ! I loved them, and honestly wings tend not to wow me- Ever. The pasta was creamy and cooked well. I'm usually very picky and critical about my pastas, so this says a lot. The pasta came with a slice of buttery garlic bread that was grilled to crispy perfection around the edges... Mmm. Carbs. I really enjoyed Biscotti's and will be back when I return to the peppermill. read more

Plus for the classy, clean ambiance, the food, dessert options, including drinks and mimosas. I ended up giving one star due to our server I believe named "Nathaniel" pretentious service. My family and I came here hungry after a tiring day of snow play in Tahoe. I actually did a Yelp for this place and saw that it was only 3 stars. I didn't mind at that time because my family and I were soo hungry. My husband ordered the braised short ribs. He mentioned that it wasn't tasty at all. I ordered the Sampler platter which included Coconut Shrimp (too sweet), Avocado Eggrolls (avocados looked like they were sitting out for awhile), Chicken Wings (wayy too sweet), and some other too salty and too sweet appetizers. This place looked as if they were trying too hard to look like they were a Cheesecake Factory or something. The place was pretty dead as well. To top it all off, my husband and two boys vomited that same night. I'm not sure if it was food poisoning or air-borne virus but it was pretty bad. We complained to the Restaurant Manager about what happened so they comped us for the entire meal. I'm actually going to add one extra star for these guys only because they comped us for our bill. Over all, I'm not going to this place ever again! read more

Terrible service! 45 minutes for food to come out. 15 minutes for each round of drinks once ordered. Food came out cold. The drinks were made proper and the food was decent for what the place was. I won't be eating here again. read more

I was staying at the Peppermill for work and I was staying in the Tuscany tower. I decided to have lunch at Biscotti's. It was not bad, but it was nothing that was overly impressive. My server was David, and while he seemed nice enough, he was an awful server. He took FOREVER to come and get my lunch order. After my order was in, it took another 20-30 minutes for my food to be delivered and the restaurant was not even that full. The food was just okay. I had been out here for the week so I had eaten at the other restaurants in hotel and their menus were almost all the same (except for the specialty restaurants), and the food was nothing special. I don't think I'll be back as I doubt I will be back to that particular resort in Reno. read more

Great find! I really love this place. Went to dinner with my dad and stepmom on a Saturday night. We were seated right away. They have a huge selection -- lots of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizza, entrees. Tips: if you sit at the bar and gamble you get free drinks. Also, if you're a Reno resident you get 20% off. Wine: Had a glass of Merlot. The serving size was HUGE. My dad and stepmom had wine envy and each ended up ordering their own glass, too. Appetizers: Had the blue cheese chips, which were delicious. Dinner: I had the Cedar Plank Salmon served with cheddar mashed potatoes. It was served on a mini Cedar Plank and was delicious. i would definitely come here again. It's also very family-friendly and casual. read more

I was told the food was good but I was completely disappointed. I ordered Fajitas and where do I begin? First, the flour tortillas were cold pre-packaged processed gross tasting. Staff/manager - 5+stars Chef Paul -5+ stars Food - 5+ stars This was the most amazing food experience I have had in a long time. My husband and I were staying at the Peppermill for our 29th wedding anniversary. I suffer from several allergies and food in tolerances so my husband suggested I contact the manager at Biscotti's to see whether or not the restaurant would be able to accommodate me. Katie Duran the manager was AWESOME!!!! She went above and beyond to make sure my dining experience was carefree and delicious. Not one detail was missing. Chef Paul was the chef that made all my meals and they were totally gourmet and incredible. I felt as if I had just eaten at a five star restaurant, which I am definitely accustomed to dining. He even prepared a breakfast pizza, gluten free and it was just as good or better than the original one on the menu. I know this because I ate at Biscotti's many times before getting ill. If you want a five star dining experience from start to finish you can't go wrong at Biscotti's with Katie and Chef Paul! read more

I've been to Biscotti's several times and if I was giving a rating for the day chef's it would hands down be five stars, however when I've been at dinner it's ok at best. I love the jungle salad and at lunch the steak is perfectly perpared, came back for dinner ordered the same salad it the steak was tuff, cold, and thank god had very little. Skip breakfast, menu is to the point and the prices are high for the quality. I-hop is right up the street on Virgina. Every entree I've had for lunch as been delicious! read more

To me this is exactly the sort of place that is hard to find in Reno. Modern, interesting food is a casual environment. It's sort of a like the cheesecake factory goes neon! Prices are a few bucks higher than most cafe's in Reno but the food and atmosphere is totally worth it. The menu is huge and not every dish is a winner, but a high percentage are (try a crepe, tortilla soup, chicken pizza, rueben, short ribs or lamb chops). I gave it 5 stars not because it's the best food in town (it isn't even close) but its the best food for the price in town. Love it. Reno please give us more of these places please. read more

Made a reservation for breakfast but decided to try the place for dinner the night before. It was delicious. BF has a ribeye and it was better than expected for the price. I had the chicken piccata but it was a little too eggy for my tastebuds. The next morning for breakfast was delicious. I had French toast and BF had the ribeye hash which he loved. Our last morning there, we went again for breakfast and I tried the avocado toast which blew my mind. It was the best avocado toast I've ever had! Highly recommend Biscottis. Very reasonable prices, very good food, and plenty of seating available. read more

We came here for breakfast around 8am the other day. It took seriously 20 minutes for someone to take our coffee order. This wasn't our waitresses fault. She was tied up at another table forced to explain the entire menu to the elderly couple seated. No one else in the restaurant bothered to help even though we were 1 of 5 tables in the restaurant and most already had their food. Our waitress was nice. We ordered French toast, pancakes.), and bacon. The couple that was seated 10 minutes after we arrived got their food order first - and they had eggs Benedict and something else with potatoes, I'm not sure how that had gotten pushed ahead of our basic order. Our food came out shortly after. It wasn't worth the wait. My husband hated his pancakes, only ate 3 bites. My French toast was so thick that it tasted like I was eating bread. The bacon was amazing. Seriously some of the best I've ever eaten out. The waitress checked on us before we'd had a bite (she wasn't the one who brought our food) and then only asked if we wanted boxes when it was evident we hadn't eaten our food. Our check was $40 (pretip) for French toast, pancakes, bacon and coffee. We've been ordering room service for breakfast since then and it has not only been fabulous but also reasonably priced! read more

I had dinner here last night with mother. The ambiance is nice, staff is friendly and attentive. They offer appz, soups, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, and steaks/fish. With the name of Biscotti's I would of thought they would have an extensive Italian Menu. Most of the pasta dishes had Asian influence. They first bring you a basket of rolls which where stone cold, and a small bowl of Parmesan butter, the butter was rich and good with the bread. Only wish the bread was warm. We started off with the spinach and artichoke dip. The portion was huge for an appetizer and it came with 3 different colored chips. They had a blue corn, sun-dried tomato, and regular corn tortilla chip. I personally think its tacky to have colored chips, not flattering at all. I also had the perfect martini. Which was a pear flavored martini, it was quit refreshing. For dinner I had the rib eye steak marinaded in oregano and with a slab of compound butter on top. The butter had ancho chillies and gave the meat a smokey flavor. The rib eye was perfectly cooked but the flavors just did not cut it. The only good thing about this dish was the cheddar mashed potatoes, with crumbled bacon, and fresh chopped scallions. Mother had the tortellini which did not appear to be home made but more out of a box. It had slices of white button mushrooms, peas, and chiffonade of basil. The chef went a bit over board with the basil, every bite tasted like basil and just over powered the delicate cheese tortellini. Overall dinner experience was average. Nice place but food could use some work. I will give this place one more try. Next time I would opt for the pizzas. They looked interesting but limited. read more

I had the salmon entree and it was $9 more than the salmon salad (but had the same size portion of salmon), significantly more grease or butter all over, no greens, the avocado cream was disgusting, and who thought corn and black bean quinoa was a good idea? First off, I ordered the prime rib sandwich expecting it to be juicy, moist and tender. Turns out to be the complete opposite: dry and horribly bland.
