    Chow mein

The food here is great! Also love the decor inside, it's a gorgeous setting and right by the beach. Service is moderate, slight wait but friendly. We got the chow mein and calamari which were both amazing, highly recommend! Sauces are pretty spicy so be prepared!

Come early or you'll be waiting. The wait is not bad also worth the wait. The staff here was so nice and attentive. If though it was was super busy the staff was on it and very polite. The food was very tasty. I had the House Noodle and was tasty. I would definitely get it again. Now k know why there is line even before they open. The food a tasty and staff is friendly. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area.

We like to buy chicken PHO. We really do love it. We drive 7 miles there and back and spend an hour or so to get it. However, often times we get back and notice the very minimal amount of bean sprouts to go with our soup. This has happened on more than one occasion. And when we asked for chili oil, they're always seems to be a little bit of a problem and it's like we're begging for it.

Ok we stopped here since our restaurant of choice was closed. So we decided to try this place out. Honestly. Sucha disappointment. Thankfully we only ordered appetizers and 2 drinks. I had a birdeye margarita 7/10 My honey had a Long Island 10/10 We ordered lao sausage with sticky rice 0/10 ok the taste of the sausage tasted funky. The sticky rice was fkn hard like it's more like stucco rice smh!! Garlic green beans 8/10 $118 soooo not worth it! Maybe we should have read the reviews first!

Honestly this place is surprisingly so good. I had given up on good Asian food options in Encinitas so imagine my surprise when I got my dishes here and everything was authentic!? I got the pork cheek salad and the flavors are perfect, refreshing, and a not spicy version of the pork salads I had while living in Southeast Asia. I actually prefer no spicy because then you can tell the true skill of the chef and the flavors used. The crab fried rice was amazing, fresh off the wok and had wok flavor, exactly what I wanted. The beef pho was actually really good too - a lot of pho restaurants just use water and flavor packets for the "broth" - you can tell the flavoring is still used but the base is definitely a broth. The fact that they're organic/grass fed is the cherry on top. I'm surprised at the quality, this is what I would expect in a place like New York City, not a sleepy beach town.

Local favorite Thai restaurant. Authentic seasonings, flavors and fresh ingredients. Love their Drunken noodles and Pad see ew noodles, fresh vegetables, wok flavor and tender noodles. The curries are delicious, the Thai red curry with chicken is my fav, but the green curry is aromatic with the fresh herbs, tofu and eggplant is delicious. Appetizers of spring rolls, Imperial rolls and eggplant are fresh and delicious, great dipping sauces too. Green papaya salad, house salad and pickled vegetables are delicious as well. Service is great and attentive.

Birdseye Kitchen has a cool, modern ambiance, but unfortunately that's where the positives end. Management feels disorganized and unfriendly, and the service overall was mediocre and unprofessional. The only standout was Tiff, who was genuinely professional and attentive. The food was extremely disappointing. I paid $40 for a stir-fry that looked like slop and came in a portion small enough to fit on a side plate. At that price point, both presentation and portion size were unacceptable. Style over substance. Not worth a return visit..

Came here for lunch with my husband and the vibe was so much fun. We had empanadas and shrimp cherviche. Great views and service was perfect fun place to go and have a nice lunch and vibe.

A different take on classic Vietnamese and Thai dishes that only those that think outside the box can really bring you--and it totally makes sense! Southeast Asian cuisine is known for using fresh and vibrant vegetables and herbs to bring out special bright flavors with great combinations of more commonly used foods. Birdseye does a great job of taking those classic southeast Asian dishes and bring more color to the palette. If you enjoy southeast Asian cuisine, specifically Vietnamese and Thai, Birdseye will introduce you to a pleasantly different take on how these dishes can be elevated. Service was also nice and professional. Parking spots towards the back.

Great local spot, legit food that is true to the region. Spicy but not lethal, I particularly enjoyed the curry with squid.

Is there a Thai restaurant in Encinitas that will deliver "Family-Style" Thai food for a party of 10 for a lunch next week? Steve

As noted by its name, this place served a fusion of Chinese and Korean cuisines. Their Encinitas location took over what used to be a roadside diner along N Coast Hwy 101. The seating capacity was less than 40 people which included a few high-top counter spots. At my last visit, I came for a late dinner before their closing time. A large menu was posted on the wall behind the service counter that listed about two dozen food offerings. The items seemed to be comfort food like pot stickers, spring rolls, fried rice, and chicken wings but flavored with unique combinations of seasonings and spices. I started my meal with the Marinated Beef Tri-Tip Skewers which came as a set of three and a Chinese mustard for dipping. The meat was very tender and well-seasoned. I also ordered the Cumin Lamb Stir Fry which the cashier said was medium spicy. After tasting a couple of bites of the noodles from the serving bowl, I agreed that the heat level was moderate, even for my palate. I thought the portion size should have been more for the price. That was my main criticism for both items, otherwise the food was solid for an Asian fusion eatery.

Everything chef Gio recommended was so good! All the online menu pictures you see look just like what you get. We started with the salmon specialty which was the perfect sweet and salty combination. Then we had tuna nigiri that was great and my favorite the hamachi specialty which I thought was so unique and delicious! We also had some yellowtail hand rolls. I've never had a hand roll before and wow! We ended up ordering more they were so good. We had the Southtown roll which I thought was great and not too spicy (I took off the jalapeño and gave it to my boyfriend). We also had what I believe was yellowtail sashimi which also was great and not too spicy. Everything was super fresh and every employee was so nice. This place is all my boyfriend and I have been talking about the past 2 days. I cannot wait to go back!

The place has a large central bar with a few tables around the periphery as well as a few outside on the sidewalk. The decor is clean and modern and the place has a vibey feel. Not exactly sure how to rate this place. If rating it as a bar primarily that also has decent sushi, I'd give it five stars. If rating it as a sushi bar I'd give it three stars. All of the sushi that I had (nigiri, cut rolls and hand rolls) were good but nothing special. If you're looking for a great sushi experience, this is likely not the place. They have a small selection of Japanese and local craft beers as well as bottled and tap sake. I originally characterized the service as slow and inattentive. But looking at it from the perspective of a bar, it was casual and friendly in the slow way you'd expect for hanging out in a bar and socializing or watching sports.
