Come early or you'll be waiting. The wait is not bad also worth the wait. The staff here was so nice and attentive. If though it was was super busy the staff was on it and very polite. The food was very tasty. I had the House Noodle and was tasty. I would definitely get it again. Now k know why there is line even before they open. The food a tasty and staff is friendly. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Honestly this place is surprisingly so good. I had given up on good Asian food options in Encinitas so imagine my surprise when I got my dishes here and everything was authentic!? I got the pork cheek salad and the flavors are perfect, refreshing, and a not spicy version of the pork salads I had while living in Southeast Asia. I actually prefer no spicy because then you can tell the true skill of the chef and the flavors used. The crab fried rice was amazing, fresh off the wok and had wok flavor, exactly what I wanted. The beef pho was actually really good too - a lot of pho restaurants just use water and flavor packets for the "broth" - you can tell the flavoring is still used but the base is definitely a broth. The fact that they're organic/grass fed is the cherry on top. I'm surprised at the quality, this is what I would expect in a place like New York City, not a sleepy beach town.

Local favorite Thai restaurant. Authentic seasonings, flavors and fresh ingredients. Love their Drunken noodles and Pad see ew noodles, fresh vegetables, wok flavor and tender noodles. The curries are delicious, the Thai red curry with chicken is my fav, but the green curry is aromatic with the fresh herbs, tofu and eggplant is delicious. Appetizers of spring rolls, Imperial rolls and eggplant are fresh and delicious, great dipping sauces too. Green papaya salad, house salad and pickled vegetables are delicious as well. Service is great and attentive.

Birdseye Kitchen has a cool, modern ambiance, but unfortunately that's where the positives end. Management feels disorganized and unfriendly, and the service overall was mediocre and unprofessional. The only standout was Tiff, who was genuinely professional and attentive. The food was extremely disappointing. I paid $40 for a stir-fry that looked like slop and came in a portion small enough to fit on a side plate. At that price point, both presentation and portion size were unacceptable. Style over substance. Not worth a return visit..

Came here for lunch with my husband and the vibe was so much fun. We had empanadas and shrimp cherviche. Great views and service was perfect fun place to go and have a nice lunch and vibe.

A different take on classic Vietnamese and Thai dishes that only those that think outside the box can really bring you--and it totally makes sense! Southeast Asian cuisine is known for using fresh and vibrant vegetables and herbs to bring out special bright flavors with great combinations of more commonly used foods. Birdseye does a great job of taking those classic southeast Asian dishes and bring more color to the palette. If you enjoy southeast Asian cuisine, specifically Vietnamese and Thai, Birdseye will introduce you to a pleasantly different take on how these dishes can be elevated. Service was also nice and professional. Parking spots towards the back.

This place is crazy good! and very reasonably priced for such high quality. it's always packed no what day or time you go. Patience is key.

Sunday lunch with my cousin. We were greeted and seated promptly as we walked in. We opted for patio seating to soak up the sunshine. I perused the menu in advanced so I knew exactly what I wanted. We started off with: Glass Noodle Shrimp Salad, Chicken wings, Grilled Lao Sausage with sticky rice. So many umptious umami flavors. I wish there was more dressing and shrimp on the salad. Main dishes were Banh Mi with pork cheeks and Drunken Noodles with beef. All very tasty, wish the banh mi had patê. Super friendly and attentive service. I requested ice for my water and a little more sauce for the sausage and it was brought immediately. Love this location, will be back to try other shared plates and curries.

My colleague and I were in the mood for some hot beef noodle soup. We came across this restaurant while searching for "pho" on Yelp. This is a Thai-Laos-Vietnamese fusion restaurant. My colleague and I both ordered the Birdseye Margarita. She had the Beef Pho (Vietnamese style) and I ordered the Beef Noodle Soup (Thai style). We both enjoyed our cocktails and noodle soup. What I liked about my noodle soup was that it had a lot of bamboo shoots. It was large portion and was incredibly satisfying. The broth was flavorful and tasted like it had been stewed overnight to release the sweetness from the beef bones. My only negative remark is that the soup was a bit on the greasy side for me. I would have appreciated if the fat was skimmed out to give a cleaner, less oily broth. Overall, it was satisfying and hit the spot! I look forward to trying out other dishes here. The restaurant was really busy when we arrived on a Tuesday night at 8:30pm. There was a waitlist, but since there were only 2 of us, we only had to wait about 10 minutes before we were seated. The ambiance was casual yet classy. I noticed there were tables on the patio in front of the restaurant; however, they were unoccupied (perhaps due to the cooler weather). There were plenty of street parking in front of the restaurant, so we didn't have to walk far.

    Tom Kah soup so yummy

Is there a Thai restaurant in Encinitas that will deliver "Family-Style" Thai food for a party of 10 for a lunch next week? Steve

As noted by its name, this place served a fusion of Chinese and Korean cuisines. Their Encinitas location took over what used to be a roadside diner along N Coast Hwy 101. The seating capacity was less than 40 people which included a few high-top counter spots. At my last visit, I came for a late dinner before their closing time. A large menu was posted on the wall behind the service counter that listed about two dozen food offerings. The items seemed to be comfort food like pot stickers, spring rolls, fried rice, and chicken wings but flavored with unique combinations of seasonings and spices. I started my meal with the Marinated Beef Tri-Tip Skewers which came as a set of three and a Chinese mustard for dipping. The meat was very tender and well-seasoned. I also ordered the Cumin Lamb Stir Fry which the cashier said was medium spicy. After tasting a couple of bites of the noodles from the serving bowl, I agreed that the heat level was moderate, even for my palate. I thought the portion size should have been more for the price. That was my main criticism for both items, otherwise the food was solid for an Asian fusion eatery.

Food: I ordered the Panang curry with boiled tofu, and it was so flavorful, warm, and comforting. It was a bit too spicy for me (I should have asked for an adjustment), but I definitely recommend. My friend and I shared the spring rolls (the peanut sauce was warm and very flavorful) and the mango sticky rice (one of the best I have - sweet and salty, creamy). Service/Ambiance: My friend and I went when it was a little less busy and it was raining outside, so we were able to sit inside! Service was great - very kind, attentive staff. And the inside of this place has very cool decor - great ambiance! Vegan: Overall, this was a great place for vegans/vegetarians and meat eaters alike. They had mock meats for meat eaters and those who are curious to try, but also had options for extra veggies, tofu, and chickpeas/beans. Will definitely bring my vegan/vegetarian friends here. They looked and smelled very fishy, too tuna fish-like for us. Complained to server and pointed out several times on menu what I ordered and the difference between the two. Also mentioned we were there for a birthday but they did nothing special food-wise, no embellishment to plate nor complementary dessert for birthday person which was a bit disappointing considering many places do.

My wife and I have been searching North County for years for same, to no avail - so we readily accepted. We arrived a few minutes before 1pm - and our first thought was - what a strange location. About a block off of Carlsbad Village Drive, but nothing else really around to drive foot traffic. Our second thought was - ok, where's the entrance? We did a complete loop before finding it, and headed upstairs to the restaurant. And our third thought was - where IS everyone? Total ghost town - and to be honest, at that point, I was pretty sure that this was yet another poor attempt at an authentic Thai restaurant. And - I was wrong. Our friends arrived shortly, and we sat down and perused the menu - even though we all kinda knew what we wanted, we wanted to see what else was out there - and good thing we did, as my wife changed her mind and went with Pumpkin Curry. I, being a total creature of habit, went with Yellow Chicken Curry with no onion - and an appetizer of Chicken Satay. Our friends ordered also, starting with Drunken noodles, another Yellow Curry (with tofu), and Rad Na (pork version). Let me interrupt this with a quick aside - the waitress was absolutely wonderful during the order process. For each entree, she specifically asked the spice level (1-10), and delivered somewhat accordingly. The food started arriving shortly thereafter - and there was a LOT of food arriving! The only nit I had was that, in my demented brain, appetizers show up before the main course. In this case, everything arrived together. That said, the main courses were incredible (and again, HUGE). While I would submit that while I asked for a spice level of 10, I got more of a 4 or 5, but when Thais see blonde hair blued eyed white guys, they tend to assume (usually correctly) that they have no idea what they're asking for. In my case, they were wrong. No biggie, I'm used to it, and next time, will definitely up the ante on the spice issue. My wife LOVED her Pumpkin Curry, and our friends enjoyed their meals as well. They pretty much finished off the Drunken Noodles, so clearly that was a hit. The only other nit that I ran into was the Chicken Satay. These things were HUGE - so much so that I could cut them in half along the length, and make a huge chicken sandwich. I've never seen it done this way - but my wife and I split one and took the rest home - that's how huge they were. The peanut sauce was amazing, as was the Thai Cucumber Salad (actually one of the better ones I've had - in California OR Thailand - it was that good). Bottom line, a worthy discovery, AND they use Door Dash - so we'll be eating Aroi Thai - Carlsbad quite a bit going forward - actually real Thai in North County....outstanding!!!
