Best Pho spot in Vista. I love coming to this place as the owner makes you feel like family. They are all super friendly and have an intimate knowledge of all their customer. The pho is so authentic that it feels like I'm eating my mother in laws homemade pho! Service is fast and the best part is if you have leftovers the server will pack it for you, you don't have to do it yourself like most restaurants. I love this place!!

P-8: Large Pho Tai (Rare Steak)

We came for dinner on a rainy Friday night, and it was packed! There was around a 30 minute wait for a table, and for good reason. The food & the service are both top notch. We ordered the tofu spring rolls, a large chicken pho, and a large pho with rare beef. The rice paper on the spring rolls had the perfect amount of chew, and the accompanying peanut sauce had great flavor and texture. My chicken pho came with the fragrant beef broth, which didn't need any additional seasonings or sauces. I loved that each slurp had green onion in it, and the rice noodles had a nice chewy texture. Both soups came with lots of meat, especially evident in the steak pho. The servers were all so friendly, treating each table like neighbors or good friends. You can tell they all work well together and enjoy their work. The ambiance is cute, from the floral ceiling lights to the hand painted art on the walls. If it's busy, make sure to write your name on the clipboard to save your spot in line.

Best soft flat rice noodles in north county especially with soft tofu Best service and pho is great

I haven't been here in a while but the quality is still just as good. I got the pho xruc or whatever it was called, which tasted really good. It came with chicken, noodles, and veggies. Was enough to fill me up and still have some leftovers. The staff were very nice and patient. The place definitely isn't as nice looking as the Escondido place, but they do a nice job with their decorations.

Amazing! Wonderful pho, coffee, spring rolls and customer service. Lemonade was awesome too

This is still my favorite Vietnamese and phǒ place in North County. I always enjoy everything I order and I try different things all the time. We come back every few months and they always recognize us. They always keep my water filled and sometimes even offer us and other tables free soup to take with us to go at the end of the night, so it doesn't go to waste. When they give you the bill they give you these delicious little candies that are addictive. It's always packed too which says a a lot. We got lucky on this visit because they're on vacation from 21 July to August 15 and we happen to come on the 20th. So we were able to get our fill. I wish them well. We look forward to our next visit because what I had this time I want again soon.

Although the wait was long everyone was so friendly and checking in on us, they even brought us egg drop soup for the wait time. The spring rolls weren't as fresh but still very good, the vermicelli noodles with beef were amazing and the egg rolls here are a MUST! We are definitely coming back here.

Tried their salt & pepper pork chop rice plate and it was so bomb. Crunchy & savory especially after getting a side of the fish sauce and dipping it in there. Delicious pickled veggies on the side just 10/10 Amazing service per usual, I love all the friendly and funny workers here. Every time I go they just make you feel so welcome! Also their hot & sour soup was literally perfect, exactly how I like mine.

Pho Truc Xanh in Escondido is a cute little spot with some lovely decor touches that make the experience feel colorful and inviting. The rare steak pho was solid and comforting, with thick savory noodles that were hands-down my favorite part--chewy and satisfying in every bite. I tried the spring rolls too, but didn't love the flavor of the marinated beef in them--just a little too sweet for my taste. Everything else tasted fine overall, nothing mind-blowing but decent and filling. The menu is impressively large, so it seems like there's something for everyone. The vibe inside is super colorful and artsy, with colorful lanterns hanging overhead and paintings lining the walls. There's a big parking lot right outside too, so no need to stress about that, which is a win. If you're coming with a group, this could be a nice middle-ground spot where everyone can find something to enjoy. It's the kind of place where I'd maybe come again if I was nearby, especially for the pho. The broth has a clean taste that doesn't feel heavy, which I really appreciate. It feels like a solid neighborhood spot--not a destination place, but reliable. I wouldn't rave about it to out-of-towners, but I'd definitely meet a friend here for a low-key lunch. Cozy, casual, and dependable.

Probably one of the best pho restaurants in sd county. The pho flavor here is very rich and they pack their bowls with a ton of meat. The service is incredible for a pho restaurant. They ask you how you are doing and are able to make you feel like a valued customer. The ambiance feels like your local restaurant as everyone eating there was almost a local. The staff knew many people by first name. I would definitely come back.

This is hands-down my favorite restaurant, and I can't recommend it enough. They offer Vietnamese, Thai, and I believe they also might have some Chinese dishes, and every single time the food is consistently amazing. Whether you dine in or take it to go, the quality never changes everything is always fresh, flavorful, and delicious. What really sets this place apart, though, is the customer service. The ladies who work here are absolutely wonderful. They actually remember your name and genuinely make you feel welcomed every time you walk in. That personal touch means so much and keeps me coming back. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. No matter what you order, you'll be satisfied and already planning your next visit. If you're looking for great food and outstanding service, this is the place to go!

Wanted a hearty meal on the way back from the Safari Park, so I checked for places online and saw that this restaurant has great reviews. Arrived to find a nice, clean, spacious dining room that was already filling up by 5 PM! Super-friendly service, which might be one reason why so many of the customers seemed to be regulars--they were greeted by name and the staff knew their usual orders. We got very generous portions of tasty food and left satisfied. The grilled pork and the pork chop were a tad dry, but overall, it was a good experience. Would definitely come back the next time I'm in town!

I came here today and was told there's been another change most recently 2 months ago. This by far his has been the most pleasant visit. The food was fresh and the dumpling wrapper was thin. They've updated their indoor decor and it's nice and clean. Highly recommend this place and will be back very soon!

I always preferred this spot for soup dumplings. And that's what we had today. Both my husband and I each ordered the Xiao Long Bao (8pc) along with a side of Bok Choy with Garlic. Gotta get in our greens! (I really wanted the Spinach with garlic but was told they sold out yesterday.) Everything was delicious. We even ordered one more Xiao Long Bao! What I really liked about the dumplings was that the exterior did not break when grabbed with chopsticks. Pliable. Soup stayed in the dumpling until I pierced it. (At Joyee, many times dumplings stick to the paper and rips. Soup spills out. The dough can be a little chewy.) We also had tea with our meal. My husband with the Taro Milk Tea with Boba and me with the Tropica Fruit Tea. My tea was quite refreshing. I forget everything that's in it but there's jasmine tea with a mix of fruit tea, a mint leaf, and pieces of fruit - strawberry, blueberry, pineapple. My husband enjoyed his drink too. Boba was nice and chewy. Dumplings were being made as we were leaving. Who doesn't love freshly made dumplings?! Almost forgot to mention that the service was great. The employee was very friendly and helpful. Stop by and support this small business!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the food from this place!!!…read more "Curry Fried Rice" is a must try item!!!! She will let you know if it's freshness and is very transparent. One time she ran out of fresh corn and let me know before I ordered. And offered me other ideas. I'm completely fine with frozen corn, I like corn with my crab boil, but how nice and honest of her to tell me! It was all so delicious and my daughter gets the potstickers and they are pan fried, such a perfect crunch to them! And beef chow mein. My daughter and I share it and still have leftovers. Sesame balls are my favorite and makes them perfectly. She has plenty of drink choices too. Go now and enjoy. Except Mondays. She deep cleans the entire restaurant. She needs a rest day and deserves it. I hope she gets one.

The usual places that we'd get our new year Chinese dinners from all had shut down their businesses. We called this business and the guy graciously took our to-go order. But first we had to keep calling like their voicemail said to do. We got two soups the wonton and the egg/flour one. One thing we noticed on their menu is they lack the description of what meat they use in the wonton soup. Assuming it was pork we ordered it anyway. I'd personally prefer it to be veggies or chicken inside. Or to have an option. Though I absolutely love the broth it comes with! The egg drop was great for me too as it had just the right amount of flavoring. I really do enjoy a good orange chicken (rice is at an additional cost when ordering it) so we put in an order for their orange peel chicken. The pieces came small and a little bit too done. I attribute this to it being a busier night than perhaps their usual and maybe because it was only a couple to a few people working. So I'd be willing to try it again. When ordering we specified please no sesame seeds. He assured us that this dish doesn't have it. You see we're beginning to see and experience sesame seed trending on so many dishes elsewhere else even when it's not advertised. So I'm very happy it's automatically not on theirs. You can see in my picture the size of the chicken I got. I had it in a small Japanese soup/salad bowl for reference. I'd order from them again and perhaps dine in their nice & casual establishment for a different experience. Happy 2026!

Unfortunately, our old go to spot a block from us had closed down but in its place... was now Golden Dragon. We didn't even realize it wasnt the same Chinese restaurant, but when finding out, decided to give them a try! I ordered for pickup around 5:00pm on Door Dash. They had pictures showing for many items, but I noticed that many pictures were incorrectly linked to different dishes. This seems like an error on Door Dash's part, and we decided to stick to our first picks. I got the hot and sour soup for him, and ordered the following for the group: -sesame balls -spicy beef -Orange chicken -house fried rice I purposely sheduled the order to be picked up at 5:45pm since we needed to stop somewhere along the way, but saw they had started making it immediately. This was a little concerning because I knew our food would be sitting there a little too long before picking up. We ended up having to rush, and arrived at the restaurant at 5:30pm. This was the first time since the restaurant changed ownership that we have entered. Aside from it being very empty, it felt empty as well. Very wide open area with a lot of void space. I didnt see any decor and they definitely didnt have the walk up food ordering option like the previous place did. It looks like they only take orders now rather than that Panda Express style feel. When entering I noticed one person sitting on a chair on their phone. He quickly got up and I let him know I was picking up for 'Katrina', he grabbed the bag that had been sitting on the table in front of him and handed it to me. We said thank you and left. We got home rather quickly and started opening all the containers. Right off the bat I noticed the fried rice was extremely dark in color. This may be normal, and it didnt taste bad but I have never seen fried rice that dark brown before. The orange chicken had a good sauce taste, but since it had been sitting in the container for some time, it was extremely soggy. The spicy beef is something I woukd never order again. It in no way was spicy, and just tasted like white pepper with beef. There was a specific taste and smell to it, and I couldnt put my finger on what it was from. All I know is it wasnt a fan favorite of ours. The hot and sour soup was not like the previous location's, and we were so sad about it. It was good though, and was similar to other Chinese restaurant recipes. Each entree comes with a small container of white steamed rice, and that was cooked well. We were excited to finish off with a sesame ball, but they were also mushy, and I could barely taste the red bean paste inside. I dont want to rule this spot out as a "no-go", and im thinking maybe variables were just off paired with trying something for the first time. Im willing to give this spot a try one more time and maybe order directly from them in person so I know I can grab the bag as soon as its done.
