Almost didn't stop by Pho House because Google showed the Special Combo Pho at $18.50. Thankfully, the actual price was lower when I got there. Personally, once a bowl of pho starts getting into the $18+ range, I think that's getting a little ridiculous. Glad I decided to give this place a try though! The restaurant was nice and clean, service was good, and the pho came out nice and hot with good flavor. Overall, a solid pho spot in Vista and I'd definitely come back. I'd just recommend they update the prices shown on Google because the higher listed price could definitely turn people away like it almost did with me. read more

They give a corn syrup sweet-and-sour with their spring rolls don't tell you that or give you the option of peanut sauce. The broth is lukewarm and salty beyond enjoyment . Still the best pho in the area but the price increase really shocked me. I used to come here just 3-4 yrs ago and the regular size pho was 10-11 dollars. It's now risen 50% to be 16 dollars which feels a little pricey. Service is still great and they recently spruced up the interior and exterior with some plants. read more

Ohhhhh! The broth is really good here! When it comes to pho, it's all about the soup to me. I need the spices to shine and I like my broth a little fatty. That's how you know they're simmering it for hours and hours! I had the meatball pho, a childhood fav of mine. 10/10 They also have the best egg soda! It's like a soda with carbonated water, a raw egg yolk and condense milk. Sounds crazy but it's really amazing! 10/10 The egg rolls were also fresh! Came here on a slightly rainy day. I needed to get some soup to-go for someone sick. I tried to get the smoked wagyu brisket, but they were out so I had to change my order to smoked Dino rib bone and oxtail pho. Service is always nice. It was pretty empty today so they had plenty of seating. I like how their ceiling is black. I never noticed it before. They gave me a huge smoked Dino rib. My smoked oxtail had only 2 pieces. When I dine-in they usually give me 3 pieces, but maybe it's because the Dino rib was so large or maybe they ran out. I'm not too sure. They did run out of the smoked brisket so it's a huge possibility. read more

We have been to Pho House in Vista a couple times to dine in and have also done takeout. They have not disappointed so far. The dinning room is open, well lit, and kept very clean. The staff has been very pleasant every time we've visited either to eat in or for takeout. The simple menu offers good choices for everyone. So far my favorites have been the chicken fried rice, made with dark meat, and the chicken wings. The BBQ Bahn Mi sandwich is another house favorite. I definitely recommend Pho House. read more

This is by far, the best pho place in Vista right now. I went here after finding out I had the flu and really needed some TLC since I wasn't able to eat anything other than pho or soups. This was close by so my husband and I decided to try something new. The location is in a pretty big plaza, it's off to the side with its own parking section. The inside decor was very tasteful and modernized for a pho place. It had a black and wood aesthetic which made me feel like... this could be a boujie pho place. Service was great. They served waters right away and asked us for our order fairly quickly. I got the #13 regular pho, which was a combo of everything (all meats). My husband got the BBQ Beef Banh Mi. The soup came out really fast, like maybe within 5 minutes of ordering. It was hot, steaming and even walking into the restaurant; the flavors smelled wonderful. I did my trusty authentic broth taste taste without any hoisin sauce and sriacha, and to my surprise; the soup was FANTASTIC. It was so flavorful, I'd have to say it was the best soup broth I've had in a long time. Very generous with portions too: lots of noodles, lots of meat, and soup almost filled to the brim! My husband said the beef bbq banh mi was also very yummy! Bread was perfectly crispy and the flavor of the meat was good as well. Though just for one bowl of pho, a banh mi, and a hot ginger lemon tea costed us almost $40 (without tip). It's not very cheap for a pho place, but I see myself coming here every now & then. Probably the best Vietnamese food in SD. Pho House can hang with even the spots in Little Saigon. But, a big but... why do the waiters here try to memorize orders? They are kind people, but English is their second language. Even if it was their first language, I've had a group of 7 and they tried to memorize the whole order. Anyone would have trouble with that! Of course they messed up our order, multiple mistakes. Please get a notepad or one of those mobile POS machines from Toast Wallet. The waiters can take orders at the table to ensure they get it RIGHT. Stop with the guessing game, it's annoying. You mean well, but this ain't workin'. A few minutes later we were served two great sandwiches. The bread was perfect with a crispy outside and cloud soft inside. I want to start by saying WE LOVE THIS PLACE. It is our go-to, especially on rainy days. Dining in is always 5 stars. However, ORDERING TAKEOUT is where the problem is. On SEVERAL occasions, they have gotten my phone order incorrect. Today, I ordered SHRIMP AND VIETNAMESE SAUSAGE fried rice, BBQ BEEF Banh Mi, and a Thai tea. I repeated my order TWICE. My husband picked up the food, and upon his arrival, I received PORK fried rice. He immediately went back while I called to get it corrected. The woman over the phone confirmed the man had taken the WRONG ORDER and said they would have my correct order ready. When my husband came home again and we began to eat, we realized the Banh Mi was ALSO INCORRECT. They gave us PORK instead of the BBQ BEEF we ordered. When my husband called the second time to complain and request a refund, THEY TRIED TO DENY THE ENTIRE THING and proceeded to ARGUE with him, asking him to come back AGAIN. Mind you, he had already been there TWICE to get our order corrected. They could SERIOUSLY improve their phone order system. I understand there may be a language barrier, but perhaps only those who can clearly and accurately take orders should be handling phone calls. I've ordered takeout here a few times and can genuinely say, as somebody who eats pho at least once a week, this is the best pho I've ever had. I've tried so many amazing spots, but the broth at Pho House is unmatched. I love the homemade chili oil, it's definitely a must for your pho. The portion sizes and prices are good, the meat is high quality. I wanted to make sure I posted my review on the correct restaurant as it is disgusting having roaches in your kitchen and serving the food to clients. Food, service and very friendly staff. We chose this location because it said dog friendly on yelp. It turns out they just have the one table outside. We arrived on an overcast morning and were greeted by our server. I informed him that we had a dog so, he quickly cleaned the outside table and prepared it for us to enjoy or meal outside with the puppy! The first item we received were the egg rolls. The star of the dish though was definitely the fish sauce which was so delicious and vibrant. After that we moved onto the main course. The pho short rib! My husband and I have been going here for years. This restaurant has had a new owner take over. I had problems on to go orders. Sarcasm on how i would like mine without onions. I let it go and continued ordering my favorite dish which ive ordered so many times but recently had it prepared completely different. I called and one of my favorite hostess apologized and offered to give my money back. I ordered it again and it was made completely different again. No flavor and the sauce had no flavor again. I called and told the hostess that it was made completely different again.
