I hadn't been in YEARS. The broth is still as flavorful as I can remember! Luckily, we got there around 630ish (PM), because not too long after, there was someone coming in every 2 to 3 minutes until it was packed-this place is popular! Anyway, when we came in, we were told to just pick a seat anywhere we wanted. There are plenty of tables put together (family style) and once seated we were able to order right away. Like I said, after we came in, it started getting a little busy so the wait for our food was a little longer than I had expected (but not too bad, maybe about 10 minutes). However, we did order some spring rolls for appetizers and those came out right away..... later, when the broth came out it was nice and hot! Everything was delicious, the beef brisket and flank steak were flavorful on their own within the broth and nice and tender. Of course, the broth, like I said earlier was very flavorful and that's definitely what you want to expect eating pho. All of the wait staff were great, cheerful and happy/attentive. Would not return. Plain and simple. Here's why ... Called this place for take out on a weekday evening. They didn't answer and apparently shut off their uber eats delivery option. Okay ... no problem -ish. Decided to drive to the location knowing they might be closed since they weren't answering, only to find a restaurant filled with 3-4 tables and very much open. We wanted pho so bad that we took the risk and were happy to see them open, wondering why they weren't answer their phones or taking to go orders online. I placed my order at the counter and immediately was turned off. First and foremost, MANY MANY MANY pho places allow you to skip the card heavy noodles and instead throw in a couple extra veggies. Not this place! The second I told them we have gluten and carb sensitivities, asked for maybe a few extra veggies (would have even been fine paying an up charge), the Asian man said, "NO!" right away. Okay, cheap skate!!! Then, what shocked me most was the customer service. The restaurant was literally empty, so I asked my wife to call in again to see what they did! I witnessed that same rude Asian man proceed to pick up the phone and hang up. He would pick up in front of customers and pretend he couldn't hear them, then hang up. To ensure my suspicions were accurate, I had my wife call MULTIPLE times while I was waiting inside witnessing it all unfold. Now, I understand if your restaurant is, "poppin," and you physically cannot handle the influx of to go orders, but that was absolutely not the case here. My wife would update me and say, "I'm calling now," only for me to physically see the man pick up and hang up. This happened several times (call log photos to prove it pictured here). What's odd is that the food came out SOOOO fast that it didn't even make sense why they weren't taking to go orders. Now, the biggest sadness was the pho itself. As a pho girlie, I've had my fair share of great pho. This place just wasn't it. Normally, I cannot finish my pho portion for other places and save some for later. Here, I got the seafood pho and finished it in one sitting!!! Like what?? I've never done that in my life. The take out container was about 75-80% full with lots of room on top. This isn't a coffee where I needed room for creamer. This was the bulk of what I was paying for. Furthermore, the broth was extremely bland and lacked seasoning / flavor. Sort of like "gas station pho" for lack of better words. You know when you get sushi from the grocery store versus sushi from an actual restaurant?! This was that same type of experience. Surprisingly not authentic whatsoever. I should not have been surprised though, as usually a heavy Asian populous inside any restaurant indicates great food. This place was full of white washed people, not an Asian person in sight. As a non-white person myself, this should have tipped me off right away. Overall I will NOT be back and I do not recommend this place. You'll be hungry, will have paid too much, and the flavors aren't even worth it. Not to mention the customer service. Yikes all around! Stopped by for lunch with my two boys on Wednesday. We were the only people in the restaurant at the time. Service wasn't very attentive, but since I visit at least twice a month and usually order to-go, I gave it a pass. This has been a consistent issue since my last review no water refills and little to no follow-up once food is dropped off. Portions do seem to be getting smaller while prices continue to go up, which is noticeable. On the positive side, the dining area and bathroom were clean and presentable. The number of unhoused individuals around the parking lot and entrance can be a bit concerning, but it doesn't deter me I'm here for the food. My wife wanted her BANH XEO again. It's her favorite Vietnamese food . Its a Vietnamese Crepe stuffed with Shrimps , pork , bean sprouts and other vegetables . We were already driving back home from Los Angeles when she asked for Banh Xeo, and we were already in San Diego when she suddenly craved it. Banh Xeo is not always available in a Vietnamese restaurant here in San Diego, but gladly, there's one that I found in PHO OCEANSIDE I had the House Special Pho, which has a delicious broth and good portions of meat. The Fried rice was so Flavorful and packed with meat that was also nicely seasoned. Their Banh Xeo, my wife likes it. I came here with family and it's a new place. We wanted a sit down restaurant which was nice. Very clean and I liked how you could see the kitchen from where we sat. I got the beef chow fun it was very high reviewed. No soy sauce they changed to oyster sauce which was nice. They accommodate well we had an onion and cilantro allergy which they made sure was served separately. Also got the beef kalbi with rice. Some egg rolls and rice rolls. Egg rolls were really good and I can't speak for the rice pork shrimp roll but it was very well enjoyed. Lots of orders because we had a large group and they were very nice. Treated us well! Lunch with hubby who has never tried Vietnamese cuisine before. We both ordered the lemon grass chicken. It turns out to be an enormous pile of dark chicken meat with red and green peppers and onions on a sizzling skillet, much like the shaken beef dish. The lemongrass is shaved into long chewy strings, making it difficult to eat. The flavor is good, the rice is plentiful. The veggies are crunchy. I missed the side salad often served with this dish at many similar restaurants, and the fish sauce vinaigrette. We had leftovers which fed me twice again, so portions are generous. Was looking for a pho place and this was only a 7 mins drive away from the freeway next to the ocean so dropped in. Lots of seating. Four large screen TVs inside, all featuring different food channels. Not a lot of places offer banh xeo, so I had to get it. Was much bigger than expected. It was soooooo good. Very creamy and delicious. Perfect crisp and oil amount. There was a total of four shrimps and a few pieces of sliced fatty pork. No ground meat. I really enjoyed it. The pho soup was a bit too sweet with msg, the noodles were on the softer side but pretty good. They offer stone pot pho for $19.99 which you should try. They also have bun Bo hue which I'll have to order next time. Lots of choices to try each time. The ice water tasted unfiltered so I couldn't drink it. Staff is helpful. Went last minute to grab egg rolls, spring rolls, and calamari rings from Pho Oceanside. The order came out less than 15 minutes. The restaurant was on the quieter end but you can tell that there would be times where they would be busy given the amount of tables in the restaurant. The egg rolls had a nice filling, you can really taste the taro and glass noodles. The pork and shrimp spring rolls were on the smaller side compared to other pho spots, and the peanut sauce leaned a bit sweeter than normal. I ordered from Oceanside Pho through a delivery app, and they completely messed up my order. They didn't give the Dasher the full meal, and when I called to try to resolve it, they refused to do anything to make it right. No apology, no offer to fix their mistake--just bad customer service. I'm so glad I had a co-worker recommend this place for us to visit. It's become our traditional spot to visit when we go down to Legoland. It's a traditional Pho restaurant that is located in a strip mall. You are pleasantly surprised when you enter as the restaurant really opens up when you get inside. The place is large inside and clean. The mural on the wall and the painted ceiling makes for great ambiance. Very open and welcoming. The staff here is the best. Very courteous and attentive. You can tell they are smiling behind the masks. To be honest the only thing I've gotten here was the Pho and it's great! The broth is on point and the portions are generous. It's one of the rare places where I can finish the broth and don't feel super thirsty at the end due to the broth being so salty. Their menu is pretty large and one day I'll venture out to try something other than my "P4" Pho Tai. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're in the area. Worth the visit! read more

I've been coming here since I was in high school so about 7-8 years and it's def one of my favorite pho restaurants. I always have to get an order of egg rolls even when I'm not that hungry because they're so good. Also a big fan of their spring rolls. My go to order is the p5 (pho noodles with rare steak) and occasionally I switch over to the stir fri egg noodles with shrimp. Oh my god this place is SO GOOD! Such a hidden gem. Me and my friends came for spring break and found this place while doing a thrift crawl. I knew this place was gonna be good when I saw the AROWANA in the back. My friends got a vermicelli bowl and I got their bun bo hue. So freaking good. I'm from the bay area and it's on par.
