COVID Review: First timer here and it won't be my last. I stopped in during the pandemic while passing through town and even with how strange times are they were still able to get it right. The ordering process was simple as I ordered directly from Yelp which is linked to Grubhub helping make the user experience seamless. I was notified when my order was ready as well as what number kiosk my order was waiting for me leaving human interaction to a bare minimum, if that. It's pretty apparent they are known for their chicken especially chicken sandwich so chicken sandwich it was. Best way to describe/compare it is to chick fila except that bird call sauce takes it up a notch you didn't know you needed. Everything is ala carte so don't forget to get you some of fries. And yes you should order their fries. They have a great selection of different dipping sauces that I personally appreciate probably more than others. read more

Pretty solid meal! We wanted to support a local spot that we'd heard great things about during this crazy time. We ordered for delivery and everything was packed very well and it was delivered quickly! I tried the grilled chicken Caesar sandwich and the SO tried the southern and we shared fries. The quality of ingredients was definitely there and appreciated for the price, the sandwiches were a good size as well. The grilled chicken was a little dryer than I would have liked, seems like it was just left on the grill a tiny bit too long, but the flavor of the sandwich was great and I'd definitely order it again. The SO's crispy chicken was cooked perfectly and he said the sandwich was very flavorful and balanced. The fries were average but did not disappoint. Also, they allow you to switch out the grilled or crispy chicken on any sandwich which is a very appreciated customization! They're salads look amazing as well and I'll be trying one of those next time. Overall I'm very happy to have tried this place! I'd say it's a much better and still affordable version of that other chicken place not open on sundays (hint hint) which I choose to avoid due to their social/political stances. Bless you Uber Eats for sensing I was in one of my moods and just wanted to tie one on and eat fried chicken and therefore you offered me a promo. I swear these robots are getting too intuitive. Lol Well I'll tell ya birdcall hit the spot. Was it the best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had; no, but did I expect it to be; also no. But for being a chain? / fast causal it was quite decent. I will say the triple threat wasn't as spicy as I was expecting from previous reviews but luckily I had requested a side of the habanero aioli, so that helped. I'm not even going to mention how disgusted you guys are with my constant complaining that things aren't spicy enough. I did appreciate the cute SOS note on the box lol. Tots were good and enjoyable! Again put a little Habanero on there for a slight kick. I will say I wasn't thrilled with the blue cheese slaw. It was meh. In hindsight it makes sense they would sub out bleu cheese dressing for ranch in a typical slaw; I don't know what I was expecting lol. Solid place to eat a fried chicken sandwich. Killed the hangover I was blessed with this morning lol. Prices are great here, I think it was actually cheaper than Chick-fil-A if u order a normal chicken sandwich. I got the Nashville hot then made it extra hot but I thought I could have been a little more spicy. Wasn't a fan of the side salad because of the dressing I chose. Pickles on the sandwich were good but the brine they soak them is very strong. Next time I'm probably going to get less pickles. Will be back much better than Chick-fil-A! Ok there's seriously a shortage of Nashville Hot Sammies in the Southside of Denver metro area. I did a search for Aurora and KFC popped up - no thanks. Then I widened to a Denver and Birdcall came up which was a little bit of a hike 10 mi/30 ish min to Rino neighborhood. I ordered via Yelp a Nashville Hot Sandwich and added the Blue Cheese coleslaw on top. Firstly the coleslaw was sparse and it didn't taste anything like Blue Cheese. The bun was cold and chicken was Warmish. It was just O-K sandwich. I was hoping for a sweet, spicy, and a punch of crisp coleslaw with an Intriguing blue cheese flavor and got a meh sandwich. I also got the Asian salad for later and it's good I like the dressing. Maybe try for a Asian influence hot Sammy because the dressing has a nice kick to it. This place is an absolute disaster. I have so much empathy for service industry workers. I know things can't always run smoothly and sometimes one weak employee messes things up for everyone. I've lived it. But when the same location gets my very basic order wrong on 3 different occasions (in a row), that goes beyond just an occasional mishap and is clearly a bigger issue. After getting home and realizing my order was wrong, I came back in to get the mistake fixed and these guys were unapologetic and didn't even pretend to hustle to make it right. I waited a good 10 minutes for a new sandwich while the rest of my order got cold and soggy. To make it more annoying, when I got the new sandwich, it was basically a messy pile of cold ingredients in a box. I actually had to microwave the bun because it was half frozen. Bottom line, we wont be going back to this location, which sucks because it's so close by. Pro tip: Dont smoke weed at work, kiddos. read more

Uh, yum. I had been wanting to try Birdcall for a while now and our team happened to be in the area for lunch. I love fried chicken and put between soft delicious bread just ups the fried chicken game. There are a number of options to choose from and for my first but certainly not last foray into Birdcall, I started with the Jamaican Jerk chicken. The chicken was crispy, perfectly seasoned with spice and topped with a grilled pineapple and mayo. I love mayo and although not ideal for your ticker, throw that with fried chicken and YES! My co-workers got fries so I snitched a few from them. One thought they were too greasy but I thought they were perfect. A little on the salty side which is my preference for fried potatoes, I will definitely order my own fries next time. Stopped in for lunch yesterday, and I was definitely impressed! The ordering process was quick and [fairly] painless, though the hierarchy on their touchscreen interface could use some work. Namely, the cart button is the only way to view what you've already ordered and is very small, but most computer-savvy folks should be able to find their way. I also didn't like that I got upcharged for replacing my sweet pickles with dill pickles, but oh well. Overall, they have a great system, and my food came out super fast. I tried the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, and it was fantastic. Plenty spicy, and I didn't dare try it "very hot." As far as flavor, texture, and quality, I would liken it to an improved Chick-fil-A sandwich which is high praise as I love C-f-A's food but detest their values. The fries were also very good, resembling less processed McDonalds fries. I am a classicist as far as ketchup is concerned and prefer Heinz to Elevation, but I made due. After my first visit, I can say Birdcall has become an instant staple for me. Anyone seeking a great chicken sandwich will be pleased with their purchase here. It is a slight upcharge from Chick-fil-A, but knowing you gave to a local business instead of a huge, homophobic corporation will leave a much better taste in your mouth. Bonus points: all of the packaging/presentation for my eat-in order was biodegradable! The only plastic I used was a mayo packet and a water cup, but that still beats out 90% of other restaurants. I'm going to have to disagree with everyone here and give this place a big 'ol meh. I got the Nashville hot -- extra hot -- and was surprised by how not hot it was. Perhaps a bit more salt would elevate the chicken above the large, fluffy brioche bun. IMO CFA does it better. The tots are good and have a subtly bbq chip flavor about them. The fries are nothing special. The shaved Brussels sprout salad was good, but pretty overpriced at 5$ for its approximately 1 cup serving. It does have a nice patio and fancy-ish bathrooms, but the parking lot is entirely pickup spaces so plan to street park. A bit conflicted because I think this restaurant is more like a 3.5 than a 3. Birdcall is a fast casual chicken restaurant that specializes in chicken sandwiches. They have a self serve kiosk where you can order and pick up the food yourself after 5ish minutes. Good: -Southern chicken sandwich was solid and the best part was the coleslaw. I think coleslaw really helps these chicken sandwiches from a texture standpoint. Furthermore, it's nice to have something cooler help against a spicy style chicken. -Fries were reasonable, slightly above average. -Service was fast, easy, and convenient. I got my food out within 5 minutes and I think these stations are going to be the future of fast casual restaurants. Meh/Bad: -The chicken itself wasn't amazing and I've had much better. The batter had a weird texture to it and lacked the crispiness that I enjoy on these sandwiches. Obviously there has to be a good balance between too much batter and not enough, but the outside had an almost air fryer like texture to it. The chicken wasn't super juicy, either. -Value for the sandwich was not great- $7.50ish for a sandwich that wasn't very large, perhaps slightly bigger than a $3.50 chickfila sandwich. There are so many choices when it comes to fried chicken and I feel like they should be split into categories but Birdcall is by far, my favorite chicken sandwich for fast casual dining! I have had the majority of their menu, from the breakfast, to sandwiches and tendies, to the shakes and EVERYTHING is good! The staff is always friendly at all of their locations and the DU one even has a drive-thru. They have amazing tots, their ingredients are fresh and natural and they use compostable to-go containers. Good chicken sandwich, even better tots. Like the milkshakes too. This location is inside of a Whole Foods, so I've always taken it to go.

We recently visited this location on a day when their system was down so they were unable to process card payments and since we didn't have cash the gracious and kind manager Peter was nice enough to comp our order. We usually dine at the Birdcall location in LoDo (@ Whole Foods) which always is consistent with the quality of anything we've ordered. This location is actually closer to our house (not sure why we didn't realize this previously) but we had never visited it prior. That said, the overall quality of our order during our visit was good but not quite up to the level of the LoDo location mostly due to the fact that the sandwiches and fries weren't warm enough. We were told this location is about to undergo renovations; we hope the quality of the food will improve as well once completed. read more
