Visited Birdcall for the first time today. My partner and I were pleasantly surprised. The food was hot and good. I had the breakfast burrito and he had the southern chicken breakfast sandwich. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is that the concept of this restaurant can be a little confusing. After arriving, We stood there not knowing if we should seat ourselves or wait. A worker was walking around, but didn't greet or say anything to us. We decided to sit at the bar and still no service. Finally, we noticed someone ordering food at a kiosk and decided to check it out. After we were able to figure this out our experience at Birdcall was a good one. read more

I was staying in downtown Denver for a conference and when it ended around noon and I had quite a bit of time to kill I ask my hotel staff for a recommendation for a bite to eat and being quite an IPA/craft beer snob and knowing Denver has a good craft scene asked for a recommendation. Never one to turn down a tasty chicken sammy it sounded right up my ally and did not disappoint. It's inside the Whole Foods near Union Station and you order by a tablet and pick up your food in numbered bays. I lucked out with a seat at the bar and ended up having a great time engaged in conversation with fellow patrons and the GM. Very good beer selection....at the time it was 24 taps and 10 were an IPA of sorts which fired me up. Btw, I went with the spicy chicken Sammy but didn't opt for the extra spicy and I'm glad I didn't. I like spicy food but wow my lips were on fire...good thing I had tasty beer to cool down. This place is a comfortable and friendly place to eat at. This is my first time eating here so I played it safe and got the original chicken sandwich with bird call sauce and parmesan sharp cheese. I figured the sauce must be a classic. When I received my sandwich the cheese was like this hard crust which was interesting and I personally don't like the bird all sauce. But my fiancé got the original sandwich, birdcall sauce and buttermilk ranch with pepper jack cheese and it was AMAZING! I switched sandwiches with him because I'm a little more picky. But the customer service was amazing and made up for my sandwich. read more

Spent a weekend in Denver for work and ended up having two breakfasts and a lunch at Birdcall because I needed something quick and convenient and wanted something local. This place did not disappoint. The homemade biscuits are a must. It was pretty crowded at noon on Friday so get here a little early if you're in a rush. The food is tasty and comes out pretty quick once your order is placed. It's actually located inside Whole Foods and you have to place your order on one of several iPads located just outside the checkout line so it was a bit of a cluster between the lunch rush and Whole Foods customers checking out but definitely worth it. read more

Had the pleasure of checking out Birdcall for lunch! You are first welcomed by the friendly staff. (I know it's fast casual, but these guys treat you like royalty!) I was hesitant on the touch screen order menu, but these guys made it easy. I watched with baited breath as my order went up the ranks on the big screen tv. (way easier than not knowing where you are in line) Upon seeing my name pop up I went to my cubby and everything I had ordered was waiting for me! He chicken was perfectly crispy, the fries were on fleek and the tea was clucking good! I loved this place not only for the food, but for the overall atmosphere and wait staff! Way to go Bird all! The set up in here is very different. There is basically little to no contact with any actual workers here. Being introverted, I really liked this and wished other restaurant were more like this. You walk in and they have these screens for you to order then they put your food in your designated spots. The food was also super delicious and tasty. I ordered just the original sandwich with fries and was super satisfied and full. My brother got a side of chicken tenders, which were really juicy and tasteful. Disappointed by the burger. The fries were good, the pickles were fresh and crispy, and the vanilla shake was delicious. But the original chicken burger was pretty dry and it was more breading than anything. I couldn't finish it. Maybe I'll try some of the other burgers they have at some point, but for the original chicken burger, I'll stick to Chick Fil A read more

I am happy to report that I had a sandwich here last week and it was fantastic. I had been upset about consistency during previous visits but this time I feel like Birdcall got back to their delicious work. Hopefully they've worked out whatever kinks they may have had. I really love the original, the Nashville hot and just tried the Buffalo for the first time and it was awesome. Tangy and not too spicy, balanced perfectly by the blue cheese slaw. Have gone here several times throughout the past couple of months from breakfast time through dinner and there's definitely consistency issues as some reviewers have pointed out. I've gone in when their kiosks weren't working and they've stopped taking orders. I've had their chicken biscuit sandwich with honey for breakfast and there's been 2-3 times where the biscuit came out so soft it fell apart when I held it my hands ready to bite into it. Their Nashville Hot and Original Sandwiches are good but I definitely wish they would improve their time estimates as the countdown has finished up on my orders sometimes and it's still not ready. After a not so great breakfast today, I'm open to going back for lunch or dinner but definitely not breakfast. read more

My husband and I checked out Birdcall for the first time last weekend, and we had an awesome experience! I had the Rancher sandwich, and he had the deluxe-both were delicious! We also had a chocolate chip cookie dough milkshake that was so rich and decadent-yum! The atmosphere is also super inviting, and we enjoyed eating our meal on their patio.
