Stopped here at opening to pick up an online order. The service was spectacular. We had a place to sit while we waited, and were offered water. The staff checked in our meal as well. Everything was made fresh and packaged beautifully. The place was clean and welcoming. The food was incredible! Even though I got it to go, it was amazing at home! I didn't take pictures because I started eating right away. The Caesar wrap with extra dressing was phenomenal! The chicken is really top-tier. The salad was also amazing and I had it the next day! The salad portion is huge. You could probably get a salad and chicken strips (or a wrap) to share! Looking forward to coming back. It was so worth it! read more

Starbird Chicken - Inside - Chicken Shop Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Starbird Chicken has officially earned a spot in my regular rotation. Ordering is incredibly easy. You place your order at one of the kiosks, then just watch the pickup screen until your order is ready. The whole process is quick, simple, and efficient. I ordered the seasonal Thai Chicken Wrap with fries, and honestly, it's one of the best wraps I've had in a while. The crispy chicken tenders, Asian herb mix, crispy shallots, and green papaya dressing all had their own distinct flavors, but together they created a wrap that was incredibly balanced and satisfying. It felt like every ingredient was thoughtfully seasoned and intentionally paired. The biggest compliment I can give? I loved it so much that I went back a second time the same week. Definitely worth a visit. read more

Stopped in here after hearing lots of great feedback from fellow celiac folks. Fried chicken is not something I ate a lot previously but I do get a craving now and again. Was immediately impressed by the staff. Greeted right away and they fully explained which food was safe and which ones to avoid. Also explained their precautions and overall process which was great. The place was very clean and looked well taken care of. The food itself was pretty great, given what they're trying to do without using flour. Texture was pretty spot on, but really the flavors are what got me. We tried both the plain and Nashville hot, and both were good. Tried 4 of their available sauces and everyone in the family agreed they were solid. The fries and most sides are also free from cross contamination so it was nice having a full meal where nothing was compromised or risky. Also appreciated the variety of lemonades and local sodas over the traditional coke/pepsi fountains most places offer. I won't say this fried chicken is a perfect one for one from my gluten eating days, but they've done a wonderful job of getting pretty close. The flavors and sauces get the experience pretty close in my opinion. Even my kids said they'd choose this over other "normal" fried chicken places. So if you're someone who avoids gluten and are craving some fried chicken, this place is absolutely worth a visit. read more

Another great visit to Starbird! We've only just discovered this chain and we are so glad we did. The food is well seasoned? The local sodas are tasty. The vibes are great and fun was had by all. Although I have previously found staff interactions to be limited, I felt like the staff here really went out of their way to make sure folks had what they needed and were very friendly. We will definitely be coming back for more!! read more

I like this place a lot. They have good food. It's made fresh. And they stay open late. It's an all around win for me. I like the chicken sandwiches and the brussel sprout side but they also have nuggets and salads too. All of the craft sodas are really good too. read more

Finally had a chance to check it out. Ended up getting CHICKEN & CHURROS. Menu said, two crispy chicken tenders, three sugar dusted churros. Served with syrup for $7.97. Somehow I ended up paying $1.20 tip to my order and ended up paying $9.90. It was quick. Didn't have to wait too long. Ambiance? Floors needs some hard scrubbing. Doors needed some elbow grease. I might give another try with something else but definitely not the churros and tenders. read more

Having been to Starbird at a Yelp Event, I decided to stop by on my way to DMNS. The chicken here is truly delish. I was jonesing for a sammy but ended up ordering the Chicken Chop Nashville Hot Salad. The salads here are loaded with fresh greens and are of decent portion. Dressing comes on the side should a person not be able to finish the meal (like me). Kiosk ordering is the best as you can clearly see the options and customize to your liking. Add ons and changes make it easy! The order announcement board lets diners know the status of said order and the staff do call out when the order is ready. The restaurant is clean, is mobility friendly and the service station is kept in order. I love that Starbird also has a dine and donate program as part of giving back to the community. read more

This was a delicious lunch! The chicken sandwich was hot, delicious and juicy but the star were the Brussel sprouts. HUGE portion and packed with flavor. Decent size parking lot, lots of seating inside, both person and kiosk ordering, and specialty sodas. A little pricey, but delicious and clever meals that you can tell have clean ingredients. I am shocked I have never heard of Starbird until a couple weeks ago. This is definitely a new favorite of ours that we will be adding to our rotation. First, I am glad they have a private parking lot and not street parking. It definitely makes coming back more likely. Service is so friendly and the place is clean. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming - even though we did want to try a lot. We settled on the Tokyo salad, Okonomiyaki Fries, Brussels sprouts, and the Japanese BBQ Bird. Kirsten recommended the Brussels sprouts and the Thai aioli sauce and they did not disappoint. If you're overwhelmed, definitely ask for recommendations. The food was delicious. Every bite was so satisfying. I usually hate every Brussels sprout that I eat but Starbird was the first where I was like I want more. Defiantly recommend the Brussels sprouts as your side with the Thai Herb Aioli sauce. The fries were full of flavor and the Benito flakes really tied it together. The salad was super tasty and filling. I enjoyed the mix of 2 different dressings. The Mango Green Tea was delicious (not too sweet or bland). Even the cookie was delicious. We learned the cookies are made in house. Definitely a new fave! Side note - after a disappointing time trying Shake Shack's Korean menu, Starbird is doing Asian fusion correctly. It incorporates a nice mix between the two cuisine tastebuds and the food is full of flavor. It's a nice take without it being too Westernized and overly sweet. read more

OH YEAH!!! For a Fast Food Place, I was AWE STRUCK, given I am a veggie and very PICKY. From the moment I walked in to the last minute walking out, Kristen was there to serve and educate!!! She was excited about her work with Starbird Chicken, explaining the would come another in Colorado Springs; wishing they might consider Arvada or a Starbird Chicken a bit more northern side. Honestly, FAST FOOD!!! I never visit FAST FOODS being a veggie and PICKY!! This was an amazing experience. And I did eat The Thai Chicken, with the help of Aspen Pretty Eyes my service dog. The Chicken crust was amazing, as Kristen stated they tried many types and finally came to this thin - slightly spice not to overwhelm the chicken which was incredibly TENDER and MOIST; not to disappoint. I was stunned, I'm eating Meat and it's great, the crust was perfect! Starbird Chicken is solidly community minded, from giving to the Food Bank of the Rockies, Fund Raisers, and Healthy Food, such as their Juices. THE BEST LEMONADE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!! Where my words to Kristen, NO SUGAR and real lemons, it was so good I wanted more! The menus are filled with delicious Food Yummies, Salads, drinks, wings and other Sides. And they are busy. For a "Fast Food" this is healthy food and I highly recommend. Bring your friends and family, Plenty of Parking next to T-Mobil pink signage. Bon Appetite!!!! read more

I love fried chicken and love checking out new places. Starbird is new to Colorado but has been around for a hot minute in California. So juicy, so moist, so crunchy and so flavorful! I ordered the Cali Gold BBQ Bacon Sandwich with Cici's recommendation and a side of the Brussels sprouts... We also ordered the 4 piece Japanese BBQ tenders with some elote corn. The corn was on the salty side and Brussels sprouts a little dark, but overall really delicious. The star of the show is definitely the chickens. Normally I'm nervous for BBQ sauce as I don't love sweet sauce on savory food but this was not that. Very well balanced with the sauce and the bacon. The chicken was so tender. Shout out to the pineapple limeade and ice tea, all the beverages are new to me and I had decision paralysis. I also added in the mango sparkling water with the ice tea/pineapple limeade. Everything was so good and the service was top notch. The bathrooms were really clean and well lit! Thanks so much Starbird team especially Cici. Your recommendations are so on point!! read more

I loveeee a fried chicken sandwich but my gripe with some of the more popular friend chicken places is that the spicy chicken sandwich just isn't spicy or flavorful enough. That's what blew me away about Starbird. Their spicy chicken patty was something I would even completely plain. It was so flavorful and the perfect level of spicy. I also want to take a moment to complement the service. The girl taking our order was incredibly nice and had great recommendations. Overall cute spot, great vibes, and quality food...what else can you ask for? read more

Starbird did not disappoint. I ordered the California Gold BBQ sandwich, and it was outstanding. The chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful, perfectly cooked, and paired really well with the BBQ sauce. The fries were hot, fresh, and crispy, exactly how they should be. They have tons of options to choose from, whether you're in the mood for salads or sandwiches, plus a great variety of sides and sauces. Everything tasted fresh, and the service was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. read more

Thank you Starbird Chicken for partnering with Yelp for an amazing event!! This is my first time here and will definitely not be my last. The staff is friendly and professional. The restaurant is also very clean with plenty of seating. Anywhere that has house crafted refillable drinks gets an automatic 5 stars. The mango green tea was worth the entire visit. The Tokyo sesame crunch salad was delicious. I would also recommend the fries with truffle sauce. What a great event and a perfect way to kick off my weekend. This was my second time at Starbird with the first being a Yelp event. Was heading home from some errands and craving crispy chicken and figured why not. It's just as delicious as I remember. Chicken is super juicy and seems high quality. Fries are cooked and seasoned to perfection. Fountain drinks are local with decent ingredients and lemonades are made in-house. Service is friendly and gives good recommendations for dipping sauces. Honestly it's all a win. We opted for 4 pc tenders - an order of classic and one of the spicy variety with a smattering of dips. Love that if you take a picture of your food and scan a QR code it gifts a meal to someone in need. While it may not be the cheapest of fast casual joints, the quality and portions feel worth it. Love that we live within a short drive as I'll definitely come back, especially with our little one as she's also a fan! read more

Food was top notch full of flavor made fresh and hot. Moment you walk in the smell of the food options is abundant and inviting. Dining area is clean and monitored by appointed staff member. If your in hurry or order a personal touch you can use self order stations next to traditional order with staff counter. Manager was friendly and helpful adding benefits to the first time dining experience. Definitely worth the drive across town to try for the first time. read more

I do think it may be one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had. While the Japanese BBQ Chicken had yummy veggies, and the wasabi I so love, it was the chicken that absolutely was the STAR feature (yes, pun intended). It's moist, and flavorful, and tender. It helps that the fries were terrific as well. And that they have interesting fountain drinks. And that it's bright and clean, and the staff is ever so helpful in helping to navigate an interesting menu. We look forward to our return to check out other offerings. read more

Today my husband and I went to try Starbird Chicken and it was an amazing experience! The guy who was taking our order was super helpful, polite, and friendly! He helped us select mains, sides and match them with sauces which they make in house (wasabi aioli sauce was our favorite!) I ordered the Japanese BBQ chicken tenders and my husband ordered the Thai chicken tenders. Both of us lived in Asia so we really have a soft spot for Asian foods and we were looking forward to trying Asian interpretation of classic American chicken tenders. The chicken was very juicy and moist. We also ordered Okonomiyaki Fries which were delicious and complemented the Japanese BBQ tenders really well. It was the first time we have ever had pickled ginger on our fries and it was very unique and tasty. When we got to go get our drinks, we were delighted to see that all beverages from teas to sodas are house made gourmet options, which is really cool and different compared to your average fast casual chicken place. The store is clean and well lit. We loved learning more about their charity fundraising promos and the good causes they contribute to. We highly recommend Starbird Chicken! read more

Thanks to Starbird and Yelp for partnering and introducing us to these chicken tenders. Pretty simple ordering process, use the kiosk or connect with an employee. I appreciate that the menu had details of ingredients for each item! I tend to have analysis paralysis so having visuals and details speeds up the process. We ordered the lemon garlic tenders, Thai Brussels sprouts, regular fries, and chocolate chip cookie. I'm a sucker for cookies. The tenders were piping hot, quite juicy, and you could really taste the lemon zing! We tried a few sauces: honey chipotle bbq (on the sweeter side), herb aioli (very herby, yeah I know that sounds silly, but it was), roasted garlic aioli (which unfortunately I hated), and the truffle aioli (which was the winner). Worth stopping in if you're in the need for some tenders! Good price for the quality. Don't expect chick fil a speed - but that's ok when you're getting piping hot quality food. read more

This was my first time going and I was pleased the quality of food! I would describe it as grabbing take out from a quality restaurant. I got the Brussels sprouts which were delicious and crispy. For my entree I got the chopped salad which can be shared for 2 people with leftovers. The dressing was very unique and refreshing! Usually with fast food you feel bloated and bad, I felt this was a very healthy option that doesn't make you hate yourself after. Lastly I got their pineapple ice tea and went back for seconds- very refreshing! The service was so quick and friendly, Cece greeted me and chatted with me while I waited for my food- she also gave excellent recommendations and provided quality service. The ambiance is very clean and spacious. The only struggle is the location as it is in a busy street but if you do Uber Eats or go at a certain time there should be no issues! Wow! Great food (chicken) gluten free friendly tenders, wings, nuggets, salads, sides and deserts. My Tokyo crunch sesame salad was outstanding, the presentation, crisp veggies and dressing on the side were a home run. Not gluten free were the wonton crisps but they could be omitted. TK the kitchen manager was so gracious in his explanation that all the chicken is GF rice floured and in dedicated fryer only for the meat. The fries however are fried in same basket as wontons so those In Need of no cross contamination won't want to eat those. He did say they can get fresh from the cooler, as well as change gloves if celiac. I had elote corn "side" served cool- but tangy and yummy for sure. This is marked gf too. The drink bar has locally made drinks. And loved the soda choices as well. I ended up with mango green tea (sweet) and combo with regular tea and it was the perfect sweetness. Cashier cici suggested the lime aid and lemon lime soda but I love tea and didn't try her suggestion-maybe next time. The place was clean and bright and had loads of seating! Yellow happy decor and ways to be charitable with give a meal. Yum will return with my husband who loves chicken and my daughter who needs gluten free meals out! I couldn't wait to write this review my lunch was just THAT good! I got the Tokyo crunch salad and it was one of the best and thoughtfully designed salads I have had in awhile. Also it was HUGE!! The drizzle on the chicken and the dressing are really yummy. I might forgo the chili seasoning next time as it does have a little spice and I'm a big wimp :) I also wish the Lettuce to topping ratio was a little better. There is a lot of "filler" lettuce. I also got the elote - yum! And they included a side of this white sauce that was so good. (I included a picture) They have their own sodas and teas and lemonades and I mixed the mango sparkling water with the mango tea and it was very good. ***disclaimer I went to this location during a Yelp Elite event.*** but so glad I did!! read more

There's a new IT girl in town, and her name is Starbird Chicken. Say goodbye to soggy, forgettable chicken and hello to perfectly crispy, flavorful chicken that's made fresh and hand-breaded in small batches. This is Starbird's first location outside of California, and I'm so impressed with how they've brought elevated, chef-driven fast food to Denver. I tried the Lemon Garlic Tenders with Roasted Garlic Aioli drizzle, garlic parmesan, parsley, and lemon pepper -- absolutely delicious. The Lemon Pepper Wings were another standout, perfectly seasoned and crispy. The fries were golden and well-seasoned, and the Fried Chicken Sandwich might just be my new go-to. I even shared some with my coworkers, and now we're all huge fans. Between the quality, the flavor, and the convenience of their in-store kiosks and mobile app, Starbird Chicken is definitely worth checking out. read more

Good experience on soft grand opening day (yesterday) but nothing really stood out. Dropped by at 4:35pm for our 5pm appointment. The manager came out and sternly said they're not opened but if we want to sit outside until 5pm they'll come get it. Sure, ok. We sat back in our car since it was windy outside. The manager wasn't too inviting and seemed to let the stress of the day/evening get the best of him. As far as food goes, the chickens are GIANT. I've never seen chickens this big so I can only assume hormones are part of the equation. I ordered a Starbird 2.0 sandwich and the chicken itself was abnormally large. That was the first comment I made. There are plenty of other chicken places in and around Denver so Starbird may have beee a bit late to the party. I'm still on the fence as far as returning. Nothing was horrible but none of our dishes stood out either. Everything was ho hum. After they work out the kinks I'm sure it'll be a smoother operation. Best of luck! read more

Truly great tender chicken. Most people tout that, but the chicken tenders were very good. The Brussels sprouts were also solid and refreshing. However, I'm giving this a 3 due to its higher prices, TERRIBLE fries (soggy, tasteless mess) and the Nashville sammich was very weak, both in spice and overall flavor. If they make some changes I'll be back, or just come for the tenders and sprouts. read more

Solid new chicken place in Glendale. Easy parking with the lot right off of Colorado Blvd. Staff is inviting and friendly. Ordered chicken nuggets and chicken tenders along with fries and a few sauces to share. Overall the chicken was delightful. Very lightly battered and not too heavy. Not super crispy like Chick-Fil-A but just crispy enough. Fries also solid. Shared 2 different types of lemonade which were good. Overall great and would go back. Things I did not love were that sauces all looked similar and were not labeled so hard to tell which was which. Music is crazy loud, can not really have a conversation without yelling. Not entirely the correct order - not a big deal at all but expected more with the new opening. Ordered pomegranate lemonade and the label said blueberry lemonade. Still tasted great. read more

Absolutely fantastic first experience at Star Bird! As a non-meat eater I feel the need to tell my fellow pescatarians (or vegetarians or vegans) of the delicious veggie options here! I came in on a Friday afternoon and there were about five other parties. Between the employees working the register and the self-serve kiosks, there was never a wait. I ordered the Garden Bird, as the Star Bird 2.0 style which has herb aioli, rainbow slaw, pickled onions and tomatoes. As my side, I got fries and for my drink I tried a couple of their house made lemonades and teas. The Garden Bird was quite tasty and so filling with all the fresh and flavorful toppings. I can't stop raving about the fries which are perfectly crispy and a very generous portion. Upon the recommendation of the cashier, I tried both the star sauce and the truffle aioli dipping sauces. Both were equally delicious. The food was satisfying and an a very tasty meal overall. However, the star of the show that day was the service. Kiersten (I may have spelled wrong) was an absolute doll! Made recommendations, was patient since this was first time there and constantly checked on not only me but all the other patrons when she came out from behind the counter. This gal is a gem! I even worked from the restaurant for a while since they had WiFi and she stopped by and checked on me multiple times and bussed my table when I was done eating.
