We like Binka Bites in SSF and gave the Millbrae location a try since we were in the neighborhood. We ordered a few drinks and some binkas and a coconut pie. Sadly, one of us got a stomach ache after eating the coconut pie but the rest were good. read more

Came here Saturday morning arrived when they opened. Staff here was not friendly. We were the first to arrive as we were in the area. Did not get an acknowledgment. Staff did not seem like they wanted to work and were very disorganized. We just got coffee and left. Coffee is mid and there are better selections in the area. The lovely man that took my order was very sweet, patient, welcoming and helpful! Ordered the black sesame latte and honestly, was not worth the price. Drink was watered down and basically was more milk versus the sesame flavor. Also, staff wasn't very attentive when I ordered and required me to remind them more than once that my drink was skipped and needed to be made. read more

Binka Bites was open on Labor Day, so it worked out perfectly for us to pick up 8 cupcakes for a lunch social, and ordered 6 more cupcakes to take home. They had an offer of 1 free bread pudding if you ordered 2. My husband couldn't resist and ordered 3 bread puddings. We went overboard because we really love their cupcakes. They're very moist, a little spongy, and not too sweet. My favorite ones are the Ube Flan and the Salted Egg and Cheese. We used to go to the South SF location but that one closes at 4pm, and they would often run out of the favorites. I'm so glad they opened the Millbrae location. I went for a sweet drink since it was hot. The workers were nice. But when they gave me my drink like it was only half full. For $8 come on now. Not even a venti Frappuccino $8. Stopped by to try a new take on one of my favorite desserts from the Philippines, and was not disappointed. Their Ube Flan was moist, yet had the mochi consistency of a bibingka. Very minimalistic decor and furnitures. Looks brand new. Service was okay, was in and out so I didn't really have time to connect further with the crew. I haven't had Binka Bites for a very long time. The setting of the location in South San Francisco have changed since the dawn of COVID19. Customers are not allowed to go inside since the set-up was replaced as a food-to-go type of bakery. Fortunately, this location opened around in 2023. This place is probably 4 times as big as compared to the original location. The ambience is fantastic! It is very clean, neat, and well organized. The food is as tasty as usual. Plus, they have additional drinks such as the Oreo Blizz, my new favorite drink. I understand the customer's complaints of the prices of the food. But for someone who also works in the Bay Area, business owners must deal with their expenses such as the rent, cost of ingredients, staff wages, maintenance, water, electricity, taxes and so on. The state of California has the most regulations on businesses in all of United States. The state also has the highest tax rates in the country. Overall, I'm glad to visit this new location. I am happy for the dynamic duo siblings, Jo and Jas to expand their business. read more

Been here two times, got the same drink both times. The mango blizz! Delicious and fresh mango on top is my fav bit. However, the drink itself could use more blending. There's chunks of ice that water down the flavor and the consistency isn't smooth enough to drink. Also, the price is a bit high. $10, which means I only get once in a while for a nice mango treat. However a lot of other places do sell a similar product for less. For $10, please blend the drink more! The baked goods are amazing btw. read more

When this location opened, I was thrilled because I love their cupcakes. The Binkies are my favorite due to their variety, but honestly, all the cupcake flavors are excellent. The quality ingredients they use in each Binka (ube, nutella flavors to name a few) you will taste in EVERY single bite. My favorite is the ube with macapuno, ube with flan and the Nutella. The new cafe location is somewhat of a tropical oasis where you can relax, enjoy jazzy music, have a cup of fine espresso or hot chocolate with your chosen dessert(s). I was able to try their bread pudding cake topped with ice cream, which I must say was the BEST I ever had. I washed this down with ube latte drink. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. I asked for a Halo halo with less beans and he tells me they cannot do that because the cups already premade. This was my first time visiting this cafe. I didn't want coffee but seen they had matcha. Although a Matcha Latte wasn't on the menu, I just asked if it could be made. The employee was happy to make it for me! Along with it I ordered the last Ube donut. Don't worry, they have several other desserts to choose from. I decided on a donut once the employee stated that he'd already sold 3 dozens for the day. My gosh! It was SO yummy warmed up. This is not your typical doughnut. It wasn't what I was expecting but it was a nice surprise! If you like the consistency of mochi but less sticky and soft, this is perfect for you. I ended up speaking with the Manager before leaving. Super friendly. Ambiance is welcoming. I give this place 4.5 stars as both of my items were delish! I'll definitely be back to try the mango doughnut as recommended! I placed my order by phone to the SoSF store since I cannot reach anyone at the Millbrae store. My calls goes directly to voicemail. I did it a few days prior so it will be ready for pick up since I amm coming from San Jose. I also pre paid the order but to my surprise the order did not reach the Millbrae store. Although the staff at the Millbrae store were surprised, they were able to prepare my order immediately after I showed my receipt. The food was excellent as it was before. My sweet tooth urges are completely full filled! This bakery has the most uniques flavors for cupcakes. Have you ever tasted salted eggs dulce cupcakes, ube flan cupcakes or matcha custard cupcakes? If not, you're in for a treat! These are just a few of the selection. I haven't tried the savory cupcakes but jalapeño honey cheddar is on my list for the next visit. Following a gluten free diet, I am so happy to be able to enjoy the treats from Binka Bites. I have been to both of their locations and been greeted warmly by the staff. The positive first. Glad there's a Filipino anything in Millbrae. Dropped by yesterday to check out this location as I've bought real classic sized bibingka at the SSF branch awhile back. The flavors available here were interesting and my husband enjoyed the salted egg caramel. The mini classics did kind of disappoint coz the cheese was so hard it took away from what a bibingka experience should be. I ordered six and paid $29. My wife and I sincerely want to support local and small businesses, but $5.25 for a cupcake is a bit much. I can't imagine or accept that the cost to make one is even half of the price. It's ok. As a bibingka traditionalist, it's too modern for my taste...and quite a bit pricey for the amount you get. But, if you're into trying new things that get you exposed to Filipino food/desserts, it's a good start. One thing I would say is for the staff to be more knowledgeable of what they serve. I'm not expecting them to know everything about bibingka, but know how to say it and what's in it and what's the difference with theirs and traditional bibingka. read more

Absolutely divine yummies!!! This is our new go-to when we're near SFO airport. It's only 10 mins away so it's a great stop after the airport. Jas, the owner, is super nice and explained all the amazing goodies in the glass case to us first-timers. We tried the ube langka, ube macapuno, ube flan, and mango cream cupcakes. We also tried the pandan cookies and red velvet cookies, as well as the guava donut and the ube donut. Can you tell we love ube?! Our favorites were the ube donut and ube langka. Wow - You can really taste the ube and jackfruit flavors. The donut was chewy and full of flavor and the cupcakes were moist and not too sweet or dense. Oh, we also tried their beef empanadas and mushroom empanadas. Both were delicious but we'll be raving about their cupcakes and donuts til our next visit.
