This is the new location and recently opened. The location is large and split between restaurant and the tap room. The taproom has golf simulators and electric dart boards. It's a very large area. In the taproom there is table service, in the restaurant it is counter service just like it's always been. The greeting was slow, the initial drink order was slow but the staff was super friendly and clearly still learning the process. Food was solid (burger and fries, mushrooms were excellent) pitcher of draft. Food prices have def increased.

A standard of ours for years. Good Burgers, Hots, Italian Sausages and sides. A Rochester tradition, and the Webster location strives to serve its customers well.

    Cheeseburger (burnt) and stale roll

I am wondering what happened here. Twice since I moved back to Webster I went there for a cheeseburger and twice it was terrible. This used to be my favorite spot! Whatever happened to Debbie? I am sorry to say that once I could live with, but twice- that's it for me. I guess everything cjan Update: I returned twice since then and both times were excellent! I hate to give a bad review so I took them up on their offer to try again and I am glad I did! Thank you I will return

My friend got a garbage plate with onions on it even though he's allergic to onions, which I thought was weird.

With a variety of options on the menu, such as plates, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches with steak, chicken, pork, cheese, and fish, and an assortment of sides like mozzarella sticks -- there's really something for everyone to enjoy! They have slushies, cookies, floats, and ice cream for your sweet tooth as well. (I actually haven't tried those). Schaller's is known for their giant buckets of pickle chips you can help yourself to. This place opened me up to enjoying pickles on my burgers, honestly, because I always thought I didn't like them but I figured I'd try them again to see what the hype was about here, lol! I have been to Schaller's a few times with my partner. I usually just get a burger and a side. I have tried the grilled chicken as well before I started eating beef again. Everything I have tasted so far has been delicious and it is quite affordable, too!! If you're in Rochester, I feel like this place is a necessity to try. I think you will want to come back !!

Served in a to go box, my meal was as follows: the base is crinkle cut fries and macaroni salad, topped with a cheeseburger patty, then they add "hot sauce" which is a spicy meat chili and then onions, and mustard on top. It is for sure a heartburn city and it was perhaps two pounds of food. I did some damage here, not just to the food but probably to my diet. There was so much here that I skipped breakfast. But it's an experience and should not be missed. [Review 1524 of 2024 - 440 in New York - 22547 overall]

This place is a total dive, and I say that with nothing but love. This is the only place in…read moreRochester that you can get a "garbage plate." other places in town, sell them, but Nick's has the name trademarked, so they can't call it a "garbage plate." It's a big plate of food. You get your two proteins, macaroni salad, Home fries their chili sauce, diced onions, and if you want it, mustard. As weird as it sounds, it's amazing. My two proteins., I chose two "white hots." it is an unsmoked, uncured sausage, made with pork, beef, and veal. The three combination of the meats, give it a rich creamy, meaty texture. It also comes with French bread on the side. And of course, I had a diet Pepsi. Lol I was First here some 10 years ago. , This visit was just as good as the first. The chili sauce definitely has a kick to it, but it was well within what I like for spicy. The macaroni salad was a good quality, and it was not overdressed, the Home fries were tender, I normally don't care for yellow mustard, but it was perfect in this plate, and as I mentioned, I liked the white hots, , and the onions gave it a nice little "pop" as well. (I can't believe I'm describing the garbage plate like it's a gourmet dish or something... :). They say it's the perfect hangover cure, because the grease sops up the alcohol. Hey, it's not diet food, but as they say, "fat is flavor!" I had enough to take with me for a second meal. I also got one of their T-shirts for a souvenir. This was just a great plate of food, and I will be back the next time. I'm in town. Thanks

The building itself is so cool it's like entering a step back in time. It isn't fancy. There's an immediate friendliness about it. I ordered a cheeseburger garbage plate with everything on it. The gentleman taking my order was so kind and friendly. Sodas are free refills. Food came out quite quick. The tables were clean. I will be back when in town again!

They serve classic all beef, grilled, hot dogs with any of the following items kosher New York City sauerkraut, freshly grilled onions and peppers, spicy pepper relish, onions, classic pickle relish, Nancy's mustard, and of course ketchup and yellow mustard. They even have veal dogs, Italian pork sausages, and chicken spiedies (grilled chicken cubes in a hotdog bun -- spiedies are an upstate NY invention). I have tried all of these options and they are all fantastic, but I am a purest and love the kosher all beef dog with grilled peppers and a touch of sauerkraut the best. You can also purchase frito-lay bags of chips and bottled/canned drinks. He uses local wieners ...tee hee....from Hofmann's franks based out of Syracuse New York. Lou notes that he thinks that "central New Yorkers prefer the grilled flavor to the classic New York city steamed or boiled hot dogs." This is why he switched to a gas powered grill in 2001. I can't agree more, I love the grill. Lou is super friendly, and he'll chat with you as he prepares your dogs. Its $2 per hot dog. One dog is a great snack, 2 dogs or 1 chicken spiedie is a great meal.
