Bill Gray's is a true local place. I always come back every time I'm visiting Rochester. I love their fries and always get them with gravy. It always hits the spot. And I get a kiddie vanilla ice cream. It wasn't the best consistency when I got it, but it still hit the spot. A cheeseburger meal, side of fries, and tiny ice cream were about $25. I guess it doesn't break the bank, but it's more expensive than I remembered. :/

If you clean the grill after a whole day of burger-making, then you will see "Bill Gray's Grease." This store, however, is "Bill Grays in Greece." There's a key difference. I was here very recently, probably 6 weeks ago, getting Abbott's custard and some snacks from Bill Grays. They have cheap burgers, white hots, dogs, and garbage plates as well as other kinds of sandwiches. Their food is basically the same at all locations. However the service and decor and atmosphere is not. I'm not really a fan of this Bill Gray's. It takes forever to get served not just because it's busy but because employees don't have a good system of serving the outside crowd and the inside alike. They have some attitude, as well. And dirty tables with not too many outlets in-store. Plus they keep their AC a little low for my tastes so it can be a little humid inside. I prefer the Bill Grays way out on Culver and the best one is down in Henrietta. If you do eat here, though, I recommend the "world's greatest cheeseburger." And even moreso, the Abbott's custard, although again, it's not my fave location for that.

Wish they had a handicap button on the door. every time I come with my grandma I am stuck outside until someone helps me in. I have written to the Bill grays website but have never received an answer. Even if you're not going to change it at least let me know I have been heard. The food is so so and expensive if you don't have a coupon. Not really a fan, but the workers are super nice.

The best part of Bill Gray's is it is consistent. You know what you are gonna pay and what you're going to eat. The hot sauce is the same every time. Hard to find that with everyone trying to make meatsauce.

The price alone is worth the one star rating. This place is way overpriced for what it is. Charlie's is much better and cheaper.

This location doesn't compare to the Gates one. Burgers seem dry and overlooked. The staff isn't very friendly either.

I have tried all of these options and they are all fantastic, but I am a purest and love the kosher all beef dog with grilled peppers and a touch of sauerkraut the best. Lou notes that he thinks that "central New Yorkers prefer the grilled flavor to the classic New York city steamed or boiled hot dogs." This is why he switched to a gas powered grill in 2001. I can't agree more, I love the grill. Lou is super friendly, and he'll chat with you as he prepares your dogs. Its $2 per hot dog. One dog is a great snack, 2 dogs or 1 chicken spiedie is a great meal. Lil Red Caboose is one of the few lunch/dinner spots in the small town of Clyde, New York. It's located on a corner street, on the way to Sodus Point. It's a outside seating, small stand. The Lil Red Caboose offers a variety of different meals such as Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, French Fries, Sausages, Mozzarella sticks, and of course, the Zwiegles Pop-open Hot-Dogs! I stopped by and picked up a meal I remembered having when I was younger, fried mozzarella sticks and a Red Zwiegles Pop-open Hot Dog. I picked up a order number and took a sit in their outside tables. The ambiance was so relaxing, surrounded by greenery with the sound of nature. The meal was out in about 15 minutes. There was [5] Mozzarella Sticks, thick and filled with cheese. It came hot off the deep fryer and the Zwiegles red-hot dog was cooked to perfection, not too burnt with just a slight crisp to it. The food was delicious! With the Zwiegles, typically you fill up the pop-open hot dogs with onions and peppers to enhance the flavor. Sauces were on the house. The meal came out to be $5.50, quite reasonably for the quality and quantity for food!

There is a bar, but they cannot make a good mixed drink. I ordered a Cosmo, but it was pure cranberry juice, so sent it back. Hubby ordered fried shrimp, they were great but the cocktail sauce was not fresh (see pic). I ordered Beef on Kimmelwick with a house salad. The salad and dressing were good! My sandwich bun was not fresh, looked and tasted as though it was frozen and had been microwaved (it was chewy). Several pieces of the beef were well done/overcooked and dark brown. There was no horseradish served with the sandwich and the cup of au jus was barely half full. When Riley checked on us she did not hesitate to replace my sandwich and the cocktail sauce. The next sandwich was better but still not high quality (the horseradish was the best part) still a chewy bun and we'll done pieces of meat. The cocktail sauce was much better. With so many places to eat in the Rochester area, we will most likely not return.
