Thieves and scammers. I had Big O Tires do a state vehicle inspection while having tires installed and replacing some TPMS sensors. There were things that needed to be fixed, but they added items that weren't bad. They claimed my front ball joints needed to be replaced and the quote to get the vehicle to pass inspection was $2400. I took the vehicle to my mechanic the ball joints were solid and $590 later my truck is fixed and has passed the required state inspection. That is roughly 1/4 the price Big O Tires quoted. read more

Do not trust this store. I had $1600 of work done on a car about 8 months ago and one of the parts failed. They said they will not warranty the work because my son was the technician. The only reason I took it there was because he worked there and I got the employee discount. Then they tried to tell me the transmission had milky fliud in it when it was CV axle grease. Had tires mounted and balanced, tires shake after 60mph. Walmart did a better job. Walmart fixed the off balance as well.

I took my 2014 town and country in for a oil change. They overcharged me for the oil change and damaged the oil housing my oil filter goes in and Denied even touching that part. I asked how did they change my oil if they didn't replace my filter, they had no answer to that. I had to tow my vehicle to my mechanic to replace the broken $600.00 part Big O Tire broke trying to do a oil change on. read more

I visited for a routine oil change. When they removed my oil filter cap, they informed me that the previous oil change had tightened the cap too much and broke off something preventing them to change the oil. I asked how much would the cap cost they quoted $89. I thought this was excessively high. I said I could get one cheaper. I ran to Advance up the street and the part was $29. I bought it and return to give it to the technician. They proceeded to change my oil and when I went to check out and pay the price had been increased by $54. They charged me $54 labor to put the cap back on because I didnt buy their $89 cap. I took the cap down the street to Valvaline as they last changed the oil. They said besides a few gouges in the cap there was nothing wrong with it. They showed me the tool used to take off the cap and it fit perfectly. Greed and dishonesty is always the beginning of a companies downfall. I will never return! read more

Do not go here to get your tires. I went in with a tire that had a slow leak and I was told I needed a new tire because there was a screw in the sidewall. I checked the tire with soapy water there was no screw in the sidewall. These are the kind of people who make customers lose their trust. I went to discount tire and they fixed it for free. These guys are amazing. I had an issue with my tire locks. I had taken it to a Chevy dealership and they stripped the key lock, told me it was broken and then told me it would cost over $70 to buy a replacement key. The guys at Big O Tires took their own time and energy to help remove the tire locks that Chevy said couldn't be removed with buying a new key. They then fixed a slow leak I had. They refused to let me pay for any of this. They are amazing and I won't take my car anywhere else. Really really appreciated their professional and caring assistance. Went in with my newly inspected suv to get an alignment before I got my new wheels/tires-truck running great-as soon as I got it back front end is popping and right wheel squeaks when my steering wheel is turned any fraction right....didn't give me a before and after sheet of alignment and made no effort to fix it when the issues were addressed. read more

I went to Big O Tires where the NTB was because my car was misfiring and was running rough and they said they could fix it after I paid 109$ for them to pinpoint the problem. They also sold me new tires, shocks, and preventative maintenance. The boss can talk you into anything. Came back to pick it up. They charged me $1600 and handed me the keys claiming they test drove it and all is well. I paid and drove 500 ft and my car still had the problem. They said they would work with me.... So they kept the car for the weekend. They couldn't fix the problem so they only gave me back 200$ out of the 1600$ I spent to "fix" my car. So now I have a broken down car with new wheels and shocks. I am now back to square one without $1400.00 and missed work for nothing. Please don't go here til they make this right! They were not professional. They should have mad sure that they could fix it before they did all the extra work. That just makes sense. They just wanted to take my money! If they met me half way I would have been upset but shit happens.. But only 200 out of 1600 pissed me off. Also, my radio does not work after this. I had to give them a one star in order to give a review. Took my car in on Saturday 19/10/2020 for tire rotation and oil change my front tire driver side was down to 38 psi. I ask him how long it was going to take to service my car. he said one hour and a half my car was back in 35 minutes I got in my car after paying them 99. and the PSI on the right driver tire was still 38 psi I asked them did they check or did they rotate the tires they said yes ma'am we did. I told him well that's strange that the tire on the front driver side that I told you had 38 psi, is 38 psi. They told me I needed struts that might be doable they told me I needed front and rear brakes I just had them replaced two months ago. They also told me my tires had grooves in them. I bought them from big O tires one year and a half . ago. I'm female but I'm not stupid my car is serviced every 5000 miles because it Hass to last me no my car pulls to the left has a tapping sound coming from the drivers front tire. Shakes as I go down the road now. This did not happen before I cannot get back there because I am a leader at work unable to get there the job should've been done right the first time. After this my car will need struts. I want them to fix my car!!! read more

I was right to be upset because all charges that a person is going to incur should be talked about out loud and upfront. I was also right to be concerned about the Lee's Summit store quoting different prices for the same services at the Raymore location.... But I also have to give the District Manager Nate props for calling me and taking care of the situation. Every company is gonna mess up sometimes but not every company is willing to go the extra mile to make things right. I noticed late on a Saturday afternoon that I had a nail in one of my tires. I called Big O Tires to see if they could fit me in before they closed for the day. I was told to bring my car up to their shop location (formerly ntb) and they would try to work me into the schedule. I arrived shortly after the phone call and was greeted by a very helpful individual. He was able to verify that my issue was patchable and the nail wasn't in the sidewall of the tire. I tossed him the keys and the crew got right to work. They were able to repair my tire and get me back on the highway, completely saving my weekend plans. They did a great job, under promised on the phone and over delivered in person. This was a great experience overall and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend them and will be making the drive up to their shop when it comes time to replace my tires. read more

Can I actually not give a zero rating. This is the worst place to take your car. Went in for 4 new tires. Left $1500 later. They said that a sway bar needed to be replaced. BTW.. car passed safety inspection two days earlier. Drove the car 5 min home. Next time I drove the car, 10 min in to being on the freeway the entire dashboard lit up. Told it wasn't safe to drive. Took to a local mechanic friend who said the same side where Big O fixed the sway bar a cable was broke and the wheel bearings had to be replaced. Luckily that was only $300 to repair but it should never have had to be repaired in the first place. Car was driving great before going to Big O. I have heard other horrible stories about this place. So I shouldn't be surprised. No matter what no one should ever go here. read more

Needed an Oil change before I went out of town and Big O Tires got me right in and taken care of in a very short time at a reasonable price.

For a Chain store that has a auto repair facility not to have an inspector for state inspections is quite inadequate. Sine they have taken over the NTB location, I have had many small issues about services. With several kids, the wife and myself, just getting a state inspection at Big O has become a challenge. Even before they lost their inspector this time, they could only do a few inspections every week. Big O, you are in the state of Missouri and we do have vehicle inspections. Maybe you should get at least two people that can complete inspections and the people would come for other business as well. read more

Took my vehicle in the last two Saturdays for A/C work. First time, I was told the clutch from the compressor was not kicking over.. After waiting two hours, the mechanic said that it might be electrical and I would need to bring it back. So, today I dropped it off and an hour later, they called and said it was a sensor. So he stated, it would be over $400 to replace it and to get the A/C operational. After arriving, the manager took me over to my vehicle and said they had to bypass the compressor for air to start. He said a wire was bad and they were in contact with a GM rep to see if the wire from the climate control was causing the issue. After an hour, one of the mechanics came out and said my vehicle was done. So my excitement went from high to being pissed off after he said I needed to take it to a dealership and have a diagnostic test done on the electrical. Asked if they could perform this task and he stated it would take a few hours, but they didn't want me to wait around. But he was really saying, they did not want to deal with it. Funny how the manager or actual mechanic did not confront on where my vehicle stood. Pathetic customer service and I do not recommend this place! Unless you like to waste $413.35 and still have the same issues! read more

this is somewhat a new company at least in this area. there is plenty of competition in the area so you would think a very minor issue, they would want to correct without causing a big deal. not here. i had alignment and an oil change done. i guess a tire rotation is done as part of it. on 12/5/18, just 4 days before i came here, i had discount tire replace my front tires from continentals to Michelin and left old continental in the back big o called said on one wheel lug had nut problem. i said please dont rotate my tires. i came to get my car and my tires are rotated. anywhere else they would say sorry and give us 5 minutes to put them back . here tazz insisted they didnt. with fingerprints all over all 4 wheels and 4 days ago getting new tires in the front he continued denying they did it. when i asked if they magically rotated themselves, this little prick said they did. over nothing this cost them a negative review and a person who came there for the first time to never go back again. the dumbest handling a small problem i have seen in a very long time. tazz, you got some learning to do of problem resolution. read more
