I stopped going to these guys for diagnostics because they always wrong, but I thought they could at least do a wheel alignment. Dropped it off and they were unable to do it and then i noticed I'm missing my lug nut cap. They claimed they never removed. It was on there when I dropped it off. I never leave negative reviews, but this had me feeling like I had to beg a business to provide services. Thanks goodness I live in a big town there are other options to go to. I did not go to this Midas and this is why. I went to their website on 7/30/2025 and requested an appointment. I got an email right after, saying someone would call me or email that the appointment was verified within 30 mins (that's what they say on the website I addition to the email). I didn't get a return email, I checked my spam and inbox. On Aug. 3 I made another appointment and responded to the email they sent me, saying they would respond in 30 mins for my first appointment. I specifically put on all three correspond with them, two when I made the appointment and when I responded to the 30 min response email that I wanted to talk to them about new tires, and wanted them to check my tires to see which ones I needed to replace. This morning they called me and didn't even recognize that I had to contact them three times for them to even call me or email me back ... and said, "you made the appt for 5:30 pm and that's not enough time to get your oil changed, can you come on at 4:30 pm." I declined their offer and service. If they can't even read what you are wanting them to provide services for, I don't trust them with an oil change or tire replacement. Sad, I always went to Olathe Midas on Santa Fe but they closed down. On another note, after I got off the phone with them I made an online appt with the Midas in Overland Park on Metcalf, they called me within 10 mins to verify my TIRE request appt. read more

You know they always do a car overhaul and check other things which can be annoying but truthfully it's better to know to be safe. Would have Rated 0 if that was a choice! Just showed up this morning to the Shawnee, KS location off Shawnee Mission Parkway and Neiman Road. All 4 bays were empty with two techs cleaning them, 2 other guys standing behind the counter doing nothing. I walked in to have my oil changed and tires rotated. I was told that I couldn't get in for 5 1/2 hours. Remind you that ALL 4 BAYS ARE EMPTY WITH NO VEHICLES BEING WORKED ON. When I asked why it would be 5 1/2 hour wait when no vehicle was in the bay and none being worked on I was told that "at some point in the next hour 3 vehicles were coming in". If I did this piss poor level of customer service at my job I wouldn't have one! In my opinion they shouldn't either! read more

Yeah sometimes it sucks having to put out money to maintain my car but I trust these guys and am always welcomed by name and feel like my time and car matter to them. Now I know why chains like this are terrible. My previous review was regarding simple car repair, like an oil change and tire rotation. No one there knows what the hell they are doing! This update is from the past two times I have been here. The first was last summer when I had a radiator leak and they claimed to fix it. However, I brought it back the next day because my poor car bled radiator fluid all over my driveway. So obviously they didn't fix it. They proceeded to tell me that it was still leaking because the radiator cap seal was broken. So I paid around $16 for a new plastic cap. The next day, it was still leaking! So this time they actually got under the hood and really and truly figured out what the problem was and fixed it, free of a labor charge, given the fact I had wasted 4 hours of my life there. The latest, and last visit, was for a rattling/squeaky noise from the front of my car. This was the same noise I had experienced last year, when they replaced some sway bar links. I took it to them, and they drove it around trying to listen for the sound with their dumb ears. The guy actually tried to tell me that the rattling sound was the box in my trunk that was rolling around when I turned a corner! Wait, what?! Seriously, I asked the man if he was joking, and from the stupified look on the man's face, he clearly was not joking. I was appalled. They are really just lazy ass people that have no training. They clearly did not want my money, so I just said forget it, and I went elsewhere. The parts they used to replace the sway bar links were cheap and needed to be replaced again, only after a little over a year. So they say their warranty is 12 months or 12,000 miles. And the warranty was up in June and it's August and the parts are broken again, how convenient. Assholes they are! Please do not waste your time or money here. They may seem nice and friendly on the outside, but they are really just lazy ass idiots that know nothing about car repair. I feel stupid for even taking my car there in the first place. read more

1 star. Very untrustworthy and be wary of their recommendations. Always get a second opinion to see if it coincides with this groups. They recommended I replace 4 tires despite having themselves replaced them 3 months prior. Tires are fine still. They said the battery would die soon. It's been about 6 months and it sounds perfect still. They had $1000+ addtl repairs they suggested we space out. read more

Poor customer service. I've been a customer for awhile now and have always thought this. Today will be my last time visiting this location. Being a reoccurring customer of 5+ times, today should have been my free oil change. But because I didn't have a "punch card", they wouldn't honor it. Normally I would understand but when it would only take a second, literally, to look at my account, they could have easily seen that I was in fact due for my freebie. I'm not the type to look for handouts by any means but when I go into this appt. knowing I'm due for my free oil change (which I've worked towards for months and months when I could go to the new location that opened CLOSER to my house) you can imagine the disappointment. It was just so easily avoidable. I've never had an issue with the work done here but in today's economy, people are going to invest in businesses where they feel the most valued. DO NOT GIVE THIS LOCATION YOUR BUSINESS-THEY ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY! I am a younger woman and they clearly assumed that I had no idea what was going on and would pay whatever they presented. I needed my brakes worked on, the ONLY OPTION THEY PROVIDED WAS ORIGINALLY QUOTED AT $702...when I then proceeded to laugh and say that I would be checking out other shops the manager quickly asked what I had been quoted at other places, I responded with "a lot less expensive than that" and was walked back into the office to have the manager draw up 4 other bids, the lowest, having everything that needed to be done coming in at $412...originally thinking they were going to pull a fast one on a young woman BY QUOTING ALMOST DOUBLE OF WHAT THE ACTUAL REPAIRS WOULD COST. They always explain things in ways that I can understand, and they always tell me straight up what are the most important things to take care of, in what order, so I can budget. Went in for a tire rotation and ended up needing a lot more work done. They had already taken it apart when they told me the wheel bearing needed fixed, so I ended up having to let them work on it even though I have another mechanic I trust a lot more and would have had so the work. Then when I left my apartment the next day one of the hub caps fell off. I picked it up and went to meet my family for lunch only to find that when I got back to my apartment another one had fallen off. They maintain that I only had two hubcaps when I got there the day before and refuse to take responsibility for their shoddy work. read more

they wanted to charge me $860 to change my breakes on my 04 cavalier. The entire time they were talking down to me, just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I don't know what your talking about. then they told me that they didn't have an strap big enough to fit my muffler, so they just wanted to replace the whole muffler. like what auto shop doesn't have different size muffler straps? as if all of that wasn't enough, they asked me to sign up for a rewards card which ended up being a credit card. then when I told them I was taking my car somewhere else to get it done they gave me dirty looks. read more

I called ahead of time to make sure they would be able to give me an estimate on a repair I needed done before taking my car to them for an oil change. They forgot to even look at the thing I asked about and once I reminded them they seemed uninterested in looking for me again or giving my any kind of estimate. I am once again please with the service at Midas. My car was making horrible screeching sounds for the past week. I dropped my car off from school and it was checked over. I was told that it was just loose belts. They were tightened and now my car drives and sounds fine. I appreciate that I can go to a place that I feel is honest and does good work. Went for a oil change.. "Filter gasket was wrong one they say" after it leaked 2.5 qts out in 200 miles... Took it back, bought another filter. Car is still leaking oil at this point and may need a new "filter casing" because if the plastic is tightened too much it can crack causing it to leak, According to Toyota service. Another 145 miles. Lost another qt and a half.. Car is less than 2 years old. 8/26/2015 Update. Spoke with the owner of the location. He plans to make it right using another location. They say it was defective part. I spoke with Fram they don't make, sell, or produce the gasket given back to me. Comfortable saying that it wasn't the problem. Especially twice with 2 different lot #s and purchase locations. Will update again once resolved 8/27/2015 Went to the shop on 103rd and state line. It was the filter casing and the shop manager Brian was informative and very nice. Picked up the part and had me on my way with no charge. Leak has stopped and I am happy with the service at that location. I will return! read more

I went to have a clunking sound corrected in my car. The mechanic also pointed out other areas that needed attention. It is a 2004 and has 107k miles so I expected this. But when I left, the sound was actually more precise and not only in the front but back. The car did drive better. I called Midas talked to the manager asked if his son could give it a once over. He went above and beyond and secured every bolt down. He drove it for a few miles to make sure there were no more sounds. I think his name is Jake and I he is great! read more

Terrible experience. Brought the car in because the idle was running high and the car was stalling (or acting like it was going to stall) at stoplights and when I was backing out of parking spots. They said the problem was the air inflow sensor and they replaced it. Also while it was there, we had them look at a leak in the steering fluid. They broke the valve cover when they were trying to replace a valve gasket. And they charged us $200 to replace the PART THEY BROKE! In addition, after we paid $425 for a new air inflow sensor, the car STILL STALLS OUT. We will NEVER go to a Midas again. read more

I took my car in to have it aligned at this store. After completion I went to run errands and my car pulled to the left as hard as it had before the supposed alignment. I returned to the store and told them, they responded that it was my tires and if they were to switch the front tires it would pull to the left but they couldn't do that because my tires were unsafe. I told my husband that evening and he disagreed so he went back in to ask them to prove that is what the problem was. They told him that it was not legally safe to do so and he demanded that they measure the tires. Turns out that the tires were well within the legal limits to have switched them, and Midas responded that they would do it for a fee. At this point I took the car to change the tires and check the alignment at a different company one week later. I have documentation that my alignment was very off. I returned to Midas and requested a refund. His response was that the store that I got a second opinion at did it wrong and I got new tires. Despite the fact that my car now drives correctly. The manager was very hostile when I brought my complaint to him. read more
