Buying tires on their page was super easy, and I loved that I could schedule my installation appointment during the same transaction instead of dealing with extra steps later. I even got a phone call the day after ordering letting me know my tires were in and ready for my appointment. The whole process felt smooth and stress-free. The part that won me over was the price matching. I found the same tires cheaper at Walmart and instead of going somewhere else or filling out a long form, or asking in store, I just used the live chat option. You can chat with someone who will price match for you!! They asked for a link to the tires I wanted to price match with, verified they could match and then just sent me a discounted checkout link that was valid for 30 days. It saved me a lot of money and took hardly any effort, which honestly is worth more than it sounds. When I arrived, the location was spotless and very well kept. I was honestly surprised at how clean the restrooms were for a place that sees so much grease. The waiting area was comfortable too, with a window where you can watch them work on your car from your seat and USB outlets nearby so you can charge your phone while you wait. They have guest wifi too and they text you with updates the entire time so you know what to expect and what is happening. Small things like that really matter and add up. The staff was kind and patient with me the whole time. Multiple employees took the time to explain everything clearly. When I needed someone to repeat something about my valve stems, he didn't seem annoyed at all, which I appreciated. As we were leaving, my tire sensors seemed off, so I pulled back around. Before I even had time to get out and go inside, someone noticed, came right out to help, and explained what was going on. That kind of attentiveness stood out to me. This place was recommended to me by at least 5 people I have asked about where to get my tires replaced. I had a great service here by a personable and friendly employee, who had a good recommendation that sounded trustworthy. He immediately saw that I needed assistance when I came in and served me promptly. He showed me his monitor screen with different tire options of the kind that I wanted, and told me what kind he had on his vehicle. The company kept me updated via email with all steps in the service of my car after I dropped it off in the morning, and I was able to finish my appointment within the same day. I came back and picked it up after work, just before they closed for the day. I did not notice any problems with the tires after I had driven around on them several months, and I am glad that I got them replaced before the big snow this winter. The tires are very expensive, I paid about $1385 for all 4 new tires, but they are a good brand (Michelin) and should last for several years I think. I also signed up for the certificate which will cover them to do maintenance service on the tires, rotate them every couple thousand miles, and repair them if they accidentally get damaged. I received excellent professional service. By complaint is the the finance company that manages their credit card accounts. I bought a set of tires and put them on my Big O credit card on a 1 year, zero interest payment plan. I have made 3 monthly payments through my online banking app. The 3 payments took 13, 10 and 12 business days respectively to get posted on my account. I was charged a $30 late fee for 2 of the 3 payments. So far I have 1 of the late fees reversed. The finance company blames the mail service for the late posting. However, their statements make it to my house in 2 business days. Although I am happy with my tires and service I was provided on more than one occasion, I cannot support a business that is in partnership with a finance company with these shady practices. One 7-3-25, I went to Discount Tire in Shawnee because I had a tire pressure issue. Although I arrived at 8 am, there were already 11 people ahead of me. But, an excellent young man, Adrian C, was wonderful to work with and quickly discovered the cause of my flattening front tire. I actually ended up needing to replace 2 front tires and then 2 back tires within 2 months. So, I had them all 4 replaced then. And the cost was half the price due to my Certificate for Repair or Replacement Benefit. As I drove off, I went home and on the way noticed a sound of something hitting my passenger tire as I made a left turn. So, I went back to Discount Tire, to ask them to check if I had a repair problem that needed fixing. Adrian once again helped me and with some tools went under my auto and found the issue and fixed it for no charge! Discount Tire is blessed to have Customer Service staff who are so talented and kind. Fair prices and good service if you're willing to wait, they are always busy that an appt is one to two weeks out So if you want the service you'll pay for it in time, even getting the road hazard warranty on tires (which i think is a good thing) your still out one to two weeks And when that moment comes you pick up a nail, which caused a slow leak, and have to wait two weeks to get the tire fixed, go ahead and take advantage of that free air service they have and come in and get your tire aired up twice a day, they seem like that's easier than getting a rover person to make repairs. I mean a ten minute plug on the tread side (repairable portion) not a sidewall, they ate willing to spend an hour of filling your tires over a two week period than just get er done, so why not waste theirs and your time getting air for free. I took my new Jeep Grand Cherokee in for a balance and rotation. They did not rotate the tires and then lied and tried to bully me into just taking the car. I declined and made them do the rotation. I got home and saw that they had beat up the lug nuts on one wheel. After a call to the corporate office they refunded my money, but made it clear they were not going to do anything about the chaos going on in their service area. When I asked about the lug nuts being scratched up the response from the manager was that they just put them on the concrete and lug nuts are suppposed to look like that. Beware. Samuel was the car service employee and was extremely friendly and walked me through all about my tires and helped explain the tire repair process. Other tire stores told me they could either possibly fit me in as a work in or wouldn't be ready for 6 hours. Samuel was able to get my tire repair scheduled and have the tire patched in 30 minutes. I thought this was a 1st come 1st serve service? I only came into the store to get service for air pressure on my tires due to weather, but was told I'll have to wait for twenty minutes and they would have me in and out only to see another customer who was a different race then me to be serve 1st with the exact same service and was in out less then 10 minutes, when I was there 1st and still waiting 25 minutes when this new customer showed up to be service. When I confronted the employee about the lack of customer service, he completely blamed his colleague for the action, but did not take responsibility to communicate to the other associates about who was to be service 1st. I felt completely disrespected and singled out because I was the only woman of color in the store only to wait a total of 45 minutes to be serviced to put air in my tires. Olathe location is better. Discount tire was suggest by a friend of mine. She mentioned how they were quick, friendly and don't break the bank (thank goodness). I hate messing with car stuff but Discount Tire has made it so easy! You can book an appointment online and set everything up in the internet. Upon arriving, there was a little bit of wait time but they were slammed. After talking to a worker, I got my tires picked out and left my car / keys with them while I ran errands. They text your phone once your car is finished so you can run errands or do something else while they're working in your car: Discount tire only took 35-45 minutes to change all 4 of my tires!!! This is the second time visiting this location and they are always so professional and friendly. On my second visit, I brought it in with a flat tire caused by a screw. They showed me the tire, explained why they could not simply patch it up and then offered some options for new tire replacement. Unfortunately, they were not able to get the tire I wanted until four days out so I went with my dealership who had the tires I needed in stock. I appreciate so much how they came out to explain to me everything, cost, timeline for receiving tires. They also inflated tire for me so that I could get it to my dealership. Slow leak not reported timely to parent i.e. Daughter's tire had nail in it she kept refilling tire with no thought to cause of leak. Made appointment through Yelp app, blindingly easy, leak fixed free of charge. I inquired about tire rotation, knew tire life was iffy at best. Another big box store (rhymes with Rosco) had a great deal on the Michelin tires I wanted plus an extra rebate amount. Downside: would not be in stock for 4-5 days. Spoke to Kurt and Christian, they got the same tires same day and installed AND matched the other price AND car ready by 3 pm! I compared prices locally, all big box stores, and online with a major tire discount site. It came down to me getting the best price with zero hassle and no waiting, all at once kind of unexpected so happily relieved. Good deal and great turn around time are much appreciated.
