Always friendly, fast, and efficient! Have used for flats and for tire rotation. Reasonable rates. (Tire rotation is NOT free if you bought the tires there, as stated on line by AI). read more

This was my go to place for years ! But today I noticed they raised their prices dramatically higher! I will not spend my money there ever again read more

Incredible place!! I was so glad they were open on a Sunday. I didn't notice my tire was very low until Saturday night. They took my car in first thing Sunday morning at 9 AM. Within 20 minutes of my arrival my tire was put on by a very kind and respectful young man. I will most definitely be coming back again for future tire needs. read more

broke tpsm sensor, then laughed about replacing. It told come back to get it programmed

Very honest good people here don't waste your time with these big name companies they just want your money. I went to Discount Tire (place 4 tires were purchased) they said nothing wrong even though my two front tires were leaking air every morning I was told the wheels were old and that was the problem the next morning low air again so i called Lonnies talked to Val explained sitch she told me to bring in vehicle so we did they found a nail in one tire and said wheels were fine & checked other tires no issues...pressure has been good ever since. Hmmm isn't that the type of service i should've gotten from place i spent $800 for brand new tires three months ago!!! THANK YOU LONNIES!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Cash or check only. Quick service, I had a whole set changed within 30-45 minutes. The employees were all friendly and joking around. It was a pleasant wait. read more

Pulled in front, young man came out within a minute. Assessed the situation, had the tire inside within 5 minutes, took screw out, prepared rim and tire, Had it back on car. Dude was a professional, competent and well mannered. I tipped him, this type of service deserves a tip. We have used Lonnie's several times now. Highly recommended for flats, used tires. read more

Very friendly people, got me a good tire for a good price. Quick service, in and out.

Not only is the service fast and fairly priced, they are genuinely so nice here. I was only able to afford 2 tires at the time when i came in, but they were gracious enough to put on all 4 and only charged me for 2 for now and told me i can pay for the other 2 whenever i'm able. cant even express how thankful i am. I'll definitely be a returning customer for life now lol read more

This place was the fastest and efficient tire place I've ever seen! Friendly and cheap too!! If you need tire work, remember them. I am not often impressed.... read more

Ironically, I was referred here by another tire repair shop in town, and, as usual, I come to Yelp to read reviews and comments before I decide to give any place a try. After receiving first class and prompt customer service, I decided to leave a worthy but legible review. The place is small and can be missed as you drive down 24 highway in Independence. I believe this may be Eastern Jackson County's best kept tire repair secret. It exudes small town charm and appeal. The only thing that could make this place better would be an adjacent burger joint to go with it. You may in fact still be waiting for your burger to be served by the time they have fixed your flat tire because they are indeed that fast. If you are a customer such as moi who has an inquisitive mind and likes to know the facts about tires, the manager (not sure if he is the owner) is kind enough to explain things to you in a very clear and concise manner. He actually showed me a sample tire tread to convey the inner workings of a tire tread. Be forewarned however, this is a cash only place, part of the small charm appeal, but also their way of keeping cost for their customers reasonable. I am the sort of person who happens to have magnetic strips on my tires, so I am sure I will be back again someday. read more

If you are needing a new or used tire I recommend Lonnie's! They are always busy but do a great job getting you in and out in a timely manner. Tires are reasonably priced. read more

Awesome people and awesome Owner everyone was great had my size of tires and put them on in a timely manner

This is the best tire place in the area hands down. I noticed that my tire had a bad leak, so I called Lonnie's to make sure there wasn't a long wait for a repair; they picked up the phone almost immediately to tell me they could fix my tire right then. I was extremely impressed by the quality of their work, their low prices, and especially their customer service. As a single teenage girl, I can be an easy target for car places to pull shady stuff, but the employees here took the time to explain to me exactly what was wrong and how they fixed it while giving me the lowest price I have ever been charged for a tire repair. read more

If anyone needs new tires, or just a flat repaired, I highly recommend Lonnie's tires in Independence. They are old school, they use the jacks 2-3 workers work on your car, you pull in tell them what you want there on it. I was maybe there 20 -30 min tops. I just can't say enough of how great they are . And it was $300 cheaper than other places. And I love that I am supporting a local family owned business. The best experience. read more

I came to Lonnie's thinking I'd need to install a new wheel after mine was dented. The mechanics were able to bend my wheel back into shape and save me some money! I came back later because my wheel was shaking and they fixed it with ease! Shout out to the woman who helped me and the man with the pony tail! Y'all rock! read more

Lonnie's is the best tire repair shop in the metro! We took our ATV tire in with a 3/4 inch gash and they were able to repair it. No guarantees but here we are a month later and it's still holding air no issues. I'm back again, this time with a slow leak in my vehicle tire. Even though the lot is completely full and people are waiting, I was greeted within 30 seconds of pulling in and in less than 10 minutes my tire is back in and I'm on the road! read more

Lonnie's Tires always comes through to save my day. Thanks Kylan for saving me lots of $$ today! and always fixing my flats or just putting air in my tires for me. I hit a huge piece of plastic on I-70, thinking it blew away but no! It wrapped itself tightly around the axle, causing my car to shake and vibrate. I didn't know what was going on! All good now! You guys rock! read more

Lonnies is always quick and good work. Was in and out in 10 minutes. Good customer services.

I see all these reviews saying how professional this place is. I disagree. I asked my son to take my truck to get new tires mounted while I was out of the country and he brought it to Lonnies. This was sometime in December or January if I recall. The other day I rotated the tires and found two lug nuts on the left rear wheel cross threaded. One of the was not even tight to the wheel. Removing them broke two lug studs off. These wheels were custom 20" wheels with 35x12.5's. Every lug nut was too tight, not properly torqued. They were probably put on with an impact instead of being torqued with a torque wrench. Lug nuts that are torqued too tight stretch lug studs too much and they could break while driving. I decided to take the cautious route and replace all of the lug studs. Beware of this place, bad things can happen when mechanics don't know what they are doing. read more

Quick, kind, and fairly priced. They saved me from having to go to an overpriced chain store and take off of work to do so. The people at this store genuinely care. Also, I have slightly rare tires and was surprised that they had them in stock, unlike the 4 major chain stores I have called and have been told they'd have to special order them. I would and will tell everyone I know about the excellent experience I had and refer them to anyone I know who is needing quality tires at a more than fair price. read more

We had a tire go bad and found some on Facebook marketplace and the gentleman we bought them recommended Lonnie's to get it mounted and balanced. We went in on a Sunday when most places are closed. This place was booming!! I think we saw 5 or 6 people come in while we were there. Someone met us in the driveway, addressed our problem, and said to give them 15 minutes. It didn't even take that long! They even put the tire back on for us and helped my husband put the spare back under our truck. We were expecting it cost a lot, because it was a Sunday. We were wrong! Very affordable and EXCEPTIONAL customer service! read more

I brought a flat tire into Lonnies and they had it fixed within 15-20 minutes. They were pretty busy, but when we walked in, someone got to us right away. It was quick and painless. They don't take credit or debit cards, so make sure you bring a little cash. Highly recommend! read more

Lonnie's is now our go to place for tire repairs and purchasing new tires. They take customer service to a new level. My wife and daughter were both treated with respect and never spoken down to. They are priced to get your business back. This place is worth a drive out of your way, these guys are worth it. Please note though that they take only cash (no credit/debit cards) read more

Lonnie's is a unique experience. Definitely go inside an watch them work, it's a real study of humanity at work. They will treat you fairly and with respect. We actually had a tire that could not be repaired and the owner Ray Moon came to our rescue with service that was way above anything I would have hoped for in our situation. Instead of taking advantage of us he actually got us going with a used tire and only charged us for a tire rotation. Ray helped restore my faith in mankind. read more

Lonnie 's is the place to go for tire repair or replacement. In Independence, MO, it's easy to find and the workers are skilled and friendly. The price is very reasonable. It was very interesting and educational to watch our tire being repaired. You can find Lonnie's at 24 Highway and Noland Road, then go .06 mile east and you are there! read more

I've been coming to this place my entire life for tire issues. Never a bad experience. Today I needed an old tire put back on the wheel. Even in the negative degree weather, they didn't charge me anything for the work. read more

2018, Starting with 3 flat tires on hubby truck. He went got 1 tires patch and the other 3 checked and filled then came home yesterday . 5 hours later we had one flat tires just sitting in the driveway. This morning he has 3 flat tires including the one it supposed to be fixed. I used to like Lonnie's Tire Service Inc. in Independence. Locate on 24 hwy, just east of William Chrisman High school. Right now we are not very happy with them. Negative 11 degree outside and airing tires is just stupid after you already paid a tires services to do the job. Update: 1-1-2018 10 am Hubby came back from Lonnie's Tire Services. They refused to fix the tires and got cuss out. Lonnie's said is because the tires has TPS stems system from GM, they can't fix and they didn't F#%K them up yesterday. They are not going to fix because they don't know and can't fix. So my problem is.... When you take the tires off his truck the first time and see it has the TPS stems, why are you trying to fix the tire. Should just let him know if is not something you are custom to do. But they jack with it and screw it ALL up. Now and say " We didn't F#$KING do it. I don't know what kinda a shown they are running. But Lonnie's Tires Services is never going get my business even and I will let everyone know they are running crap shop read more

Lonnie got us fixed right away. $10.00 for plugging a screw hole. We tried to give home more but he would not take more. Great service!

Lonnies is awesome. They take care of they're customers 100%. Staff and ownership are 1st class. Open conveniently 7 days a week. If you need anything to do with tires near northern independence mo look then up read more

We were traveling on a Sunday. Lonnie's was the only place open. They hooked us up for an excellent cost and with superior customer service!

We called 9/6 to see if 2 tires were in stock, was advised yes. We got there and they only had one in stock. Returned 11/3 was advised tire shows in stock but when they went to pull it they couldn't find any. This is the second time we have gone and been told sure, they advise they will order Monday, to call first to be sure they are in. How can I be sure they are in? Inventory shows one number you get there they can't find them. So if this was a problem in September and not fixed, and now in November will it be fixed by the time I call on Monday? read more

I felt like this business had my best interest at heart from the initial phone call to getting my tires installed. I definitely plan on being a repeat customer. read more

A friend recommended when I said I needed 4 tires cheap but good. This place was great! Not only did they come in $200 under anyplace else for comparable tires, they were efficient (getting me out in 30 minutes!). They don't have a formal lobby but it is actually fun to go in the shop and watch them work! This is not an overpriced Johnson County fru fru place where they up sell every little or big thing. The are good and honest! I won't ever go anywhere else for tires! read more

You don't get many shops that are honest and that's why we keep coming back here... They'll tell you you're tire is good and they wouldn't change it... As far as price goes, it's the best value on used tires in town... I will come here as long as I live in KC! read more

I just went to Lonnies to have two tires changed which I have the two tires and they wanted $100 to change two tires I think that's a bit high won't get my business no more read more

Lonnie's Tire Service saved my sanity. Two days before returning to school, I had to jump a curb to avoid an idiot driver; I ended up bending a rim and flattening a tire on a relatively new car. Ever try getting a new rim for a Nissan after 5 p.m. on a Saturday? I experienced no joy until I contacted Lonnie's Tire Service on Sunday: the shop couldn't help with a new rim, but two employees literally beat the bent rim back into shape. The tire was then checked, refilled, and put back on the car. The rim wasn't perfect, but the repair allowed me that week to settle back into work and arrange for a new rim on a day and time that worked for me. The cost of the repair was the next surprise--extremely reasonable for the amount of work done and, like others have mentioned, I was treated very kindly. Bless this business! I'll be returning for all of my tire needs now. read more

This place is excellent! We got great tires at an amazing price, and everyone here is friendly and helpful! We highly recommend Lonnie's!
