Thieves! Do not go to this shop. I made an appointment for my wife to have her oil changed. Asked them to include a quote for new front break job. She arrived on time and they put her car up on lift for the oil change, tire rotation and full service. Almost two hours later they were done. Presented her with the bill for $86.30. Typical cost for full service oil and rotation. Now comes the thievery part. She was presented with an estimate for a front and rear brakes. $1178.23. What?? Only asked fur front quote. The list of additional parts, services and "kits" was ridiculous. They also added over $600 in misc. Required services needed. Fuel system flush. Coolant system flush, brake fluid "replacement" etc. Car has 102,000 miles on it. At 99,000 we took it to our dealership and had all but the brake work including transmission flush completed. All warranty items were checked out and completed. We were informed only front brakes were needed. Once she got home she told me her tire sensor went off with 4 different pressure readings ranging from 27-32 lbs. I always mark my tires on inside to keep the shop honest. Guess what. They did not rotate the tires. Jeez!! Do not patronize this shop. Unscrupulous sales tactics and dishonest service practices. read more

TAKE YOUR CAR ANYWHERE, BUT BIG O TIRES! This is the second bad experience I've had here. I had road hazard warranties on the tires of the vehicle, so this why I went back. They said my wheel lock key was stripped and they had to extract the lug nuts which was a $180 charge. I was not aware of this lie because it's my son's car and I couldn't get a hold him. Afterwards I found out the wheel lock key was in great condition when his spare was put on to get it to Big O Tires. The man who changed the tire was a Ford certified mechanic and had no issues getting the wheel locks off or back on. Big O's wanted to charge me over $1,300 to fix multiple issues. I did not want the repairs because last I went there they said I needed all the same repairs and the work was shoddy. I had to take it to another shop that found that only 1 bolt was holding the control arm, and it was about to come off. My kid was driving this car! The damaged wheel lock key was not mentioned until after I refused the other repairs. THEY ARE RIP OFFS! GO ANYWHERE, BUT BIG O TIRES! I would give 0 stars if I could! read more

This winter for a reason unknown to me all four of my tires were going flat in the single digits. So I decided to duck into Big O Tire to get them checked out. One hour later they say all my tires were fine except for one, which had come off the bead. Weird they only found one problem but ok, they're the professionals! A week or so later my tires are going flat again, and the one they "repaired" isn't taking air now. So I take it to Walmart to get them checked out again. NAILS AND SCREWS IN ALL OF MY TIRES!! I spent a pile of money with Big O today to have the cooling system thermostats in my Jeep Wrangler replaced. Since it seemed exorbitant, I did some checking. Big O charged me $49.99 for one thermostat and $129.99 for the other. AutoZone sells them for $13.99 and $21.99. Then there's the labor--$135 each to remove and replace them. Add to that their various other fees, diagnostics, coolant service kits, etc. You get the picture. I spent $750 on parts and labor that should have been more like $200. Matthew, the sales guy, was an arrogant jerk and Brett, the store manager wasn't any better. Anyway, I won't be going back. ** Update 11/07/19 ** The day after I posted my review I received a call from Scott at the Shawnee store. He was very understanding and apologetic that I had had such a poor experience. Scott seems to understand customer relations, his coworkers, not so much. I also spoke with Michael, the area manager who offered to refund the $125 engine diagnostic charge. I told him what I really wanted was an explanation/justification for their extremely high parts prices. He said that prices are set at the regional or corporate level and he had nothing to do with them but he would look into it and get back to me. Later, Scott called to let me know that he had processed a $125 refund for me. I never heard back from Michael. read more

We sent our car to this location at Shawnee at 9:40am. We requested for the following service: 1) Oil change 2) Transmission fluid change 3) Transfer case fluid change When we arrived we were informed to leave our vehicle there and they will take care of the required works and call us when it is done. At 12:50pm we called back to check and we were informed it wasn't ready because they did not have the right oil filter and they were just starting the transmission flush. They could not provide when it would be finished. At 2:45, we called to check again. This time the flush was complete but they have not started the transfer case flush. And we were told it would not be done until their closing time about. We decided not to have the transfer case flush, drain and fill done since it has been taking such a long time, and we will get there to pick our vehicle then. We picked up our vehicle at 3:55pm. The pisser of it was they tried to charge us for the transfer case job which was never done. After 20 minutes of communicating in and out with the techs it was finally confirmed that the job was not done. We paid $163.99 and left. We came home, at about 7:00pm we discovered oil leaks at our driveway. Upon checking we found oil splash everywhere in the engine compartment. Please see pictures. The odometer reading on the invoice# 016012-8528 is 124756. I have taken picture of my current reading as 124771. Please see all the pictures I have attached here that shows that oil splashed all over the car and dripping on my driveway. Your website indicates that you close at 8pm. When we discovered this situation it was only 7:05pm and we called and called and called but no answer. I request an engine clean up and ensure the fluid levels are correct and everything is back to factory specs. Who can I further contact about this bad job? read more

terrible experience with this shop! had an appointment and they didn't even communicate that they didn't have all the tires I bought in stock until I called and asked what was taking so long, very poor communication all around. had my car there for 4 hours with an appointment. very unimpressed with the unprofessionalism and lack of caring. The man at the counter, I believe his name was Matt, was able to get me and my mom in and out in less then an hour and was able to have my tire patched free of charge. We use to love the service at Big O, but as time goes by they get dumber and ruder. We went in to have an Oil Change because they always had a discount going on. Well this time he said there couldn't be a discount, ok we will go somewhere else, then told him we still wanted our tires rotated, but because they were purchased at another Big O store they would have to verify because the computers aren't linked from store to store. They he couldn't find the phone no. so we just left. He told my husband that he didn't need to come back to that location. read more

went in for my scheduled tire rotation and while I was waiting an employee came out and informed me that my rear shocks were leaking and that the manufacturer (Hyundai) recommends that my front struts should be replaced at this time. I declined this service and went to my repair shop and they checked my shocks and struts and there was no shocks leaking and the front struts were fine. When I took my vehicle into the dealership for an oil change they also checked the rear shocks and front struts but found nothing wrong with either and they also said that is not a manufacturer recommendation for when to replace the front struts. read more

We stopped in for an oil change while we were in town for a wedding. This location is the best Big O I have ever been to. Scott was friendly, flexible and fast. Brandon was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful explaining the components of my car. So much trust was established within the short hour I was there. Unfortunately, our local Big O in Denver doesn't come close to this location on any fronts. If Scott and Brandon ran a Big O within an hour of Denver, it would be the only mechanic I ever go to. I witnessed 3 upset customers in a row that were told different things then were charged much higher than they were told. Service Mgr and another employee were rude and handled each customer as if they didn't matter. I was just in to get a flat tire fixed and would have walked out but couldn't. Took my car in for a slow leak in my drivers side rear tire, left it overnight since they said they were busy, picked it up the next morning, they claimed it was fixed. Got in to find that my low pressure light was still on, told the frontend guy the light was still on, he didn't bother to check it, told me I had to drive it to reset it, drove a mile and stopped to check using my own tire gauge. I noticed my rim was now all scuffed and not one tire was inflated to the proper setting. Manager seemed VERY put out to talk to me. Not impressed with the service at all. Went in recently to get four new tires on truck. $1,200 sale. A couple days after, I am washing it and notice that they had broken off one of my wheel studs. Now I can totally understand how that happens, but what ticked me off is that they had to know that it was broken and didn't bother to tell me. Many years ago my husband went into this location and had an excellent experience. Due to this, we have been back twice for tires. The last time we were there, early January 2021, we had tires installed on our relatively new (used) vehicle because they always seemed to be leaking. They installed them and the tires were still leaking, only now the sensors were all on the wrong tires. My husband went back up to see if they could switch the sensors around (they did not), and to find out why our brand new tires were leaking. There was a nail in one, so they plugged it and sent us on our way. (They threw our tire lock bolt on the floorboard under some papers, so he couldn't find it and the guy rudely told him he had handed it to him). But...the tire was still leaking (sensor still on the wrong tire) and he went back in another time about it. They were incredibly rude, wouldn't check the tire, it went on for a bit and he actually ended up shouting at the guy (not very like my hubby, I was very surprised). He sent me in next time (tire still leaking) and the guy had the nerve to tell me that my husband had caused a scene and that there would be a charge to replace the tire. I accepted the charge, we had the warranty but had to pay some kind of deductible and a disposal fee. They called when the tire was done and told me that the rim was badly damaged and that was why the tire was leaking. They STILL charged me for the warranty fee and disposal of the tire, though the same tire still resides on my vehicle. So let me sum this all up: The incompetent person placed a new tire on a badly damaged rim (you cannot tell when the tire is on, mind you, the damage is somehow under the tire if that makes sense), and did not bother to tell us that the wheels needed to be replaced. Then they were rude to my husband and to myself, although I was incredibly polite, CHARGED me for something they DIDN'T DO. And I STILL have a leaking tire. I have since found out that it's rather difficult to find wheels for the tires I JUST bought, so I will be scouring the internet trying to find new ones that will fit my tire, instead of buying the wheels that I wanted and tires to go on them. I will never set foot in this place again, and I'm not at all surprised by the negative reviews I see on here. read more

Went in for a flat tire repair and when I was done there was a big grease spot in my car that won't come out. And my tires are to be filled to 33 psi but the repaired tire was filled to 46 psi. They also said they topped off my windshield washer fluid and now no fluid comes out. Will not be going back since I had so many issues when I only went there for a flat tire repair. Gave these guys a shot, since the old NTB was a disaster. I had a nail in my tire and they took me right in. I left it there, and asked them to check both front tires for possible leaks. I got called back 2 hours later, informing me I needed rear brake pads, 2 new front tires and my driver's hub was "loose" . Since I had just replaced my other hub 2 months earlier, I declined and asked just fix my tire. They did. Ths was 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, my wife was driving the car when it locked up and had to be towed home. The culprit? The top caliper bolt on the passenger side was gone. Coincidence? who knows, but when I called and asked if they had removed or messed with it, Christian said" no we never take off any bolts or calipers to do visual inspections" . Fair answer, but then how did you find out my hub may be loose? If you need just tire work, use them. ( I wont) But any upsell BS they feed you needs to be followed up with a visit to a trusted mechanic. read more

Having problems with my AC and took my SUV here. They were unable to fix the problem and sent me to the dealer. When I took my dealer receipt of over $1200 to them to see if I could be refunded for some of the services (because some of the same services were performed) I was shocked at the level of disrespect I received. The mechanic told me that he was "in the business of making money" and what he did was correct. He then went on to mock the questions I asked about the services and told me he'd go ahead and put my car on the lift and show my the tiny thing the dealer did. I have never received such poor customer service. As customers who have purchased 2 sets of tires and have work done on both our vehicles, you'd think they'd want to keep us as customers. This is not the first time I've had poor service here but it will definitely be the last. read more

Used to go there an get reliable service. Lately it has been absolute trash. Takes little time but is never fixed properly. Asked for Breaks and they break a bolt. Ask for coolant flush and they dont do the job. Ask for new tires on the car and they dont put them on correctly. The team is friendly but that is all they have going for them anymore. read more

I've came in several times to get my cars A/C fixed. Every time I've been in this shop they have said there machine is broken to fix my A/C. (First time I came in it was on Mother's Day) machine broken. Second time (about 2 weeks later) machine broken. 3rd time they RAISED their prices to fix the a/c and they COULDN'T EVEN DO THE JOB!! Because the machine was broken. I'm in disbelief on how they run business here. I have been communicating with them over the phone or going in myself to get it done for the past month and they are still unable to do the job. I am in awe over the managers in this place not offering me the same prices they had before raising their prices or even offering a discount or anything at all for time, travel, and broken words they've giving me. We did business with NTB before the change over to Big O Tires. Honestly we liked how convenient and affordable getting a oil change was in the past. My first experience with Big O was when I stopped by to drop my 09 Toyota Sienna off for a oil change and was stopped in my tracks because I did not have an appointment. The employee basically told me they had a ton of business and was not able to even try to fit me in that day and I would only be able to make an appointment for later the next week. With our schedule week days are out and by the time we could get in all the time slots were taken. I asked to price out a conventional motor oil change for my van and he said that they could not use conventional motor oil and I would have to use Synthetic if I wanted them to change it. So I gave my business to Christian Brothers in Western Shawnee instead. So we received a coupon for a $19.99 oil change in the mail from Big O Tires and decided to give them another shot. This time my Mother in law offered to drop our 06 Toyota Sequoia off for our appointment we made during the day. Well long story short the $20 dollar oil change turned into a $70 dollar synthetic oil change. They talked my 65 year old Mother in law to go with synthetic motor oil. This place is over priced and I only wish I wouldn't of put my Mother in law in that position. You hear stories about places that take advantage of uneducated customers all of the time. You should shop around before falling for this places bait and switch coupons. read more

Had an oil change there recently and they did a diagnostic on my car as part of the service. Found out I needed a new water pump. I went ahead and received the service only to find out that it is twice as much for the repair as other places. This company recently changed their name from NTB to Big O tires but the staff is the same and the prices are ridiculous. They are just trying to rebrand themselves. Don't bother with this place. I've been here two times, and I stood in line 15 minutes at the register (both times) to even be waited on. Guy on the register struggles with it, narrates and talks to himself about computer issues. I made an appointment for 8 AM to get new tires. Called the day before to confirm. Showed up for my appointment and they only had three of the tires in stock (? I ordered them the week before!). Had to take more time off work to come back that afternoon. Was promised they "could definitely get me in right at 5 pm." Stood in line another 15 minutes before even being waited on. Got my car in the garage 30 minutes later. Two guys "worked" on my car: one of them literally VAPED and watched the other one for the most part, while his girlfriend stood in the way. Several times I witnessed the thee of them doing nothing while they talked and laughed. (The girlfriend was also in the lobby covered up in a blanket when I made my first visit that morning. Blanket and food were still crumpled in the same corner of the lobby that evening.) Something tells me that OSHA and/or corporate HQ would not approve of vaping and a girlfriend being present all day while on the job. I've now been here for over an hour, it's past closing time, and I can see my car suspended with no tires. I will not return and would caution anyone against coming here unless the management makes some significant changes. *Update: Finally finished at 7 PM. I realize it was a long day for the crew as well, and they told me several times they were "slammed." To be fair, the head technician (Mitch?) was friendly and was trying to make the most with what he had to deal with. Unfortunately, it doesn't change my overall rating. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! Had my vehicle in for a simple tire rotation then come to find a scratch and ding on my front fender! Always great when shop denies and thinks your trying to scam them for their lack of good service! File a complaint then to have multiple phone calls ignored, come back to store to be once again denied, yelled at and threatened is definitely not professionalism by new store manager Josh! Never have seen such horrible customer service!!! They simply do not care about good service at all! Way too many other places to go that care about customer's vehicles and referrals.
