I had to shell out hundreds of dollars to get tires they didn't have in stock and 8 days later they still had not called to inform me of their arrival. I had to do 3 different phone calls - Gage, Davinci, and Nate - all were supposed to call me back with the status - after I had to call them - and failed to do so! I finally found out the tires had not even left the shelf of the other store so I canceled my order but first had to wait for 15 minutes on hold so he could help customers that came in after our phone call! Worst experience I've had with them. Called ahead to double check and see how long the wait would be and could not get a direct answer but was told it "wasn't a long wait". I walked to canes, ate, walked to dollar tree, shopped, and walked back to Discount Tire and my man's car still was NOT pulled into a bay to get two tired replaced. I was on a time frame because I had to be to work and I reminded the guy up front helping me that I needed to be out soon. He assured me he would take care of it. 25 more minutes go by and the guy with my car keys has talked to every person in the building except for me. I bought two new tires, mounted and balanced. I brought them in from off the car. I had to bring one back to the shop because the wheel was packed with mud. The tech should have known to wash the wheel before balancing the tire. I was going to let that go. But the tech I dealt with when I came back had to tell me, as I was leaving that maybe I should wash the mud out of my wheels before bring them in next time. Well, yes, maybe I could have, but I didn't. That's no excuse for a tech to ignore the mud and balance the tires as is. Tires aren't cheap and neither is mounting and balancing. If there is mud on the wheels, wash it off. But then, as the tech said, "we're not a car wash!". That did it for me. There's plenty of other tire shops around town. I set an appointment for 4 new tires for 2:45pm and booked at 11 am that morning- found an appointment quickly. My tires were in stock and a fairly good price. My complete time waiting for my new tires was around 45 minutes. They greeted me as I walked in and touched base half way through my tires install telling me everything was going great and they didn't find any problems as they were installing the new tires. Dropped in yesterday to price out a new set of tires. (I'm not at all into cars). I chatted with the clerk for a few minutes and he agreed to price out a new set of the same tires we bought from discount tire about 5 years ago. I also wanted to look at something that might offer additional traction on wet or winter roads and Nick made a suggestion for those too. With the rebates available the upgraded tires were just a smidge more and when we talked it over at home my husband and I figured it would be worth a little more. Came back today and had them installed. With covid-19 they're having people wait in their vehicles and put their flashers on to indicate you need service. Once I broke a cross bar, and then finally got the wheel off with a breaker bar I put the flat and the spare in the trunk of another car and came in. Since they were closed at six I just was hoping to drop them off and pick them up in the morning but the guy at the front desk while looking at them said "I'll just fix them for you myself real quick. Came in for a flat repair. They were very busy and to add insult to injury as we pulled up it started to really storm. All the bays were full so they proceeded to change my tire curbside in the torrential rain and lightning. Halfway through it started to hail. The technician just embraced the suck and soldiered on. Im not sure what happened to this place but it used to be really good. I've bought all my tires from these guys never again. I'll take my business elsewhere. I had to take my car back to these guys because they didn't fix it right the first time. My tire pressure display isn't working right and my tire is still leaking, waste of my time. first time I took it in they thought the issue was with my 2 back tires. I told them the psi display isn't right and the sensors aren't showing the right tire sensor location. So of course I need 2 new back tires. this recent time I went in and I told them again that my front driver side tire is leaking and that my display is showing it's the back passenger tire is low, but of course I need both front tires replaced now. lol, what a joke. read more

Normally service is timely, including complimentary tire pressure checks. The last two times I have come in for a tire pressure check the wait has been over 15 minutes and this last time no one has even acknowledged I was there. My husband and I have purchased multiple sets of tires, based on prior good service. I came into discount tire a few months back to get two new tires for the front. After I left, I noticed the next morning that the rims were completely scratched up and damaged. I guess whatever machine they used had a bolt loose or something and tore up the wheels. After I went back and mentioned what happened, they literally did everything to make it right. Got me set straight with new wheels. They took customer service places I didn't know customer service could go, and I've worked in customer service all my life. They left me speechless with how well they took care of me and were very apologetic about the whole situation. Disappointed in the Discount Tire store in Belton. I paid for 4 tires, they only installed three. They claimed they could not take a lug nut off so techs only installed 3. I find it hard to believe that a tire shop cannot remove a lugnut and I had to pay $30.00 to have it removed. I got ripped off because I paid for 4 tires, balancing and only got 3. had to figure out the 4th one. I will not return and neither will I recommend this store to anyone else. I took my daughters car to get new tires and received excellent service at the Metcalf store. I will drive the extra miles for great service with no excuses. read more

I recently had 4 new Nitto brand tires installed on my vehicle. I knew what tires I wanted and called several places and I finally landed on Discount Tires because they gave me the best price in town. They had to order the tires and when they came in I made an appointment to get the tires installed. I brought my vehicle in, the deal was already in place and I had my new tires installed in a little less than an hour! I couldn't ave asked for more!!! Today 8/18/18 I had an appointment @ 11am to get two new tires put on our van. I showed up at 11:02am and checked in. I sat down and waited until it was cleared out and then I asked if I could just pay for it and they let me. Then at 11:33am they called me over to discuss my spare tire while they pulled my car around. I was walking out with my receipt and keys in hand at 11:35am!!! That's what I'm talking about. Despite living in Kansas, this is my preferred Discount Tire location. My initial trip was only due to their inventory having tires specific to my car, but every subsequent visit has been due to the quality of the service on said first visit. Despite crowds of people in the waiting room, both the employees servicing vehicles and helping customers retained a professional and enthusiastic manner of conduct. My vehicle required a full change of all four wheels, and this was completed within an hour of my arrival. I was only able to make this replacement piecemeal, but the employees helped work around my money difficulties and made sure I got the best parts for the value I could handle. Honestly. An appointment means nothing here. Still takes an hour and a half to do anything because they take preference to walk ins even if you arrive early. Walked in today phone ringing off the hook, no one at the counter, but I noticed a guy who worked here sitting w his legs crossed next to a customer chatting it up. I had even sent them the competing invoice and we discussed it VERY clearly. Always long lines and "clerks" just standing around clicking on computers instead of helping customers that are in line. All that, and I swear, no hallucinogenic drugs were involved! The time is 1338 on a Wednesday, just in case you want to revisit the same worm hole in this space time continuum. At 1341 an email was sent to my phone, from discount tire, thanking me for coming in and letting me know that my tires were being rotated and balanced. An invoice was attached for my convenience. Great experience! Ordered some Michelin X-Ice XI3 winter tires for my car, as it is rwd. Paid $20 in advance over the phone to get them shipped in from another state. They were cheaper than any other store (Sears, Firestone, NTB, Costco) including tire rack (adding cost of shipping Ave mounting balancing) but they offered over the phone to match any other price I could find. I looked Ave didn't need it. Did have a little trouble getting the tires to the store as the first shipment was lost, but when I called to check on it, they called back and had another set overnighted in. Then because of the delay, they have me a $70 instant rebate that hadn't started yet. Install took about an hour, and they offered to add my existing tires to their warranty and road hazard so when I swap back and forth - winter to summer rubber - there won't be any added cost. I'm not your regular yelper, but this is just too bad not to mention. The last two times I've tried this place, I've been dumbfounded how ignorant the employees are. The first time was with my sister, who asked them to put air in her tires because they had lost pressure due to cold weather. Their response was "okay, how much air does the tire need?" Yikes. I won't discuss that one any further. The second time I went, I brought in my car battery and mentioned that my car had problem with starting and immediately dying. The employee didn't even check my battery, he proclaimed that it was the alternator with no doubt, and tried to charge me $700 to get it fixed. Well thanks to Firestone (across the street), I discovered that at times, the type of car I have (Nissan maxima) has a computer issue that requires a computer diagnostics test run in order to discover the problem. Thankfully I had this done, and I saved about $600. Needless to say, I'm never going to NTB again. read more

It appeared to be losing pressure, went in yesterday they would NOT work me in, 90 min wait. When I bought tires I was told 45 min wait, had appt, they took 75 min and "forgot" to rotate the tire that had been repaired. I suggest new management. Very disappointed. read more
