Made an appointment at 10 am for an oil change and front breaks, didn't get updates on my vehicle so had to call them to see what was happening and received attitude about it. Didn't get my vehicle back until 12 the following day. Pricy but within reason, timeframe and communication are not their strong suit. Room for improvement to say the least. read more

My daughter had her tire patched at a different business in Overland Park and by the time she got to lees summit it was flat again and the valve stem was broken. She was able to get off the hwy and roll into Firestone. They worked her right in, replaced the valve stem, inspected the new patch and got her safely on the road again! I should have followed my gut. I have a guy who does auto repair as a side job and he told me to get readings for my A/C, the high side and low side readings to be able to narrow down the problem. I TOLD these guys that is what I needed and that this guy requested that. The called and told me it was just low on Freon and they could fix for $200. My guy is usually busy so I figured if that was all I would do that instead. NOPE didn't work. They did suggest a new compressor and condenser for $1200. I knew that was more than my guy would charge so I declined. I got the car and paid for the initial AC check, $58 and lo and behold... no readings! Shocker. Probably never did them. It may not even be the compressor but a new one plus labor with my mechanic will be $450. This is why I got someone who is honest and does the work on the side. read more

I got a flat tire late on a friday night while ubering and the next morning i called to see if they could patch it for me and the man said they had a full schedule but they would take my wheel and work it into the day for me so i wouldn't have to wait till monday for an appointment and they did! by 3:30, they called me and said they'd put it back on for me. i'm so happy with the service i received today, they really saved me so i could get back on the road this weekend! read more

Don't go to Firestone! I bought tires from Firestone in October of 2018. I am more then disappointed in the customer service, and the tires. The reason I went in for new tires was because of wear and tear of my old ones. I had 4 new tires put on by firestone and have had nothing but problems ever since. The tires have to be aired up weekly. I drive everyday to and from work, I am also in a position where i drive back and forth across the city and lots of miles/day. So this is a high annoyance! It is EXTREMELY disappointing the amount of money we spent for bad tires. Every time we've called and gone in to this firestone the sales agents are rude and tell me all the ''problems'' they've seen on chevy's over the years. Look. I own my chevy, always drove chevy's and love my tahoe. I don't need you to sell me on another manufacturer. I need you to provide tires to me. The sales agents are completely rude, and not professionals. And they don't stand behind the Firestone brand. Of course I will never be returning to Firestone. We've always gone to the dealership for our tires needs, and I will be right back there. read more

We came in to have a car inspected. They cited numerous reasons why the car would not pass inspection not knowing that my husband used to be a mechanic for Firestone and knows exactly what their tactics are. They tried to sell us $750 worth of repairs just so the car will pass inspection. Some of those items weren't even required for a state inspection. None of the other items except for the tie rod actually met failing criteria, but they failed them all anyway. They are crooks who thought they could take advantage of a female customer. Wrong again. Won't be back with any of our 4 cars. Will drive to the Bannister Store instead. read more

I started coming to Firestone here in Lee summit just recently. I purchased brand new tires less than a year ago from another company, but still went to Firestone for an oil change and tire rotation. Little did I know they were never rotating my tires as requested. Due to this my tires wore down very quickly and I had to spend another $600 on tires this week. I trusted this company to do their job correctly and honestly and they did not!!! They never told me I had an oil leak or that my CV joints were going out! I've even had an inspection done there and they said my car was in perfect condition! I will never return here again!!! read more

Have used this location from everything from an oil change, brakes, tires and starters and more. I dont feel pressured into buying and paying for any unnecessary repairs like some places will do. Everyone seems friendly and laid back. Today i went in for a new starter on my car and was quoted and agreed to the price given to me, when i went to go pick up my car which was prior to the promised time my price was actually $100.00 lower then what we agreed upon. My service advisor Ramiro did some addition research and found another supplier offering cheaper starters and it was a brand new one at that vs rebuilt. The friendly demeanor of the staff, the promtness of the service, and the finished product were all fantastic. I ordered my tires from an online warehouse and had them delivered to Firestone. I called to let them know the tires would be delivered and to schedule a time for installation. They had no issues with the fact I didn't purchase the tires from their store and quoted a price for the installation - when the job was finished the quoted price held true. Also, I have powder coated OEM rims, after the job was complete there wasn't a scratch on them. Not one blemish. This is the true test...The ride and feel of the tires and installation is amazing. Honest and fast. Came in with what I thought was a battery issue, which is located on a place on my car I cant get to. Was going to be $200 for a Heavy Duty SUV battery and they had to do a bit of work to actually get to it. I was like "OK reasonable". They call us back 40 mins later and say, no battery needed, we got to it and found the leads just needed tightening and cleaned. $39!!! Will go back for sure. read more

The only reason I'm giving them 1 star is because giving zero stars was not an option! If you have to deal with Brandon the manager, turn around and I leave ... better yet don't go in there in the first place! I bought a brand new set of tires and after being badgered for 10 minutes to buy the road hazard protection, they finally took "no" for my answer. I go to pick up the car, drive it off their lot and get on the highway (which if you're familiar with the area is a grand total of maybe 500 feet). Literally on my way up the on ramp the low tire pressure light comes on. I go back to firestone the next morning when the light is still on. They look at the tire, say "here's your problem" and point the giant 16-penny nail that is just so perfectly piercing my tire right between the treads. And in a similar theme to some the other reviews I've seen about him, Brandon tells me "I guess you should've bought the road hazard!" Queue my rage. I accuse them of hammering the nail into my tire, Brandon gets flabbergasted I could ever question the integrity of his band of crooks, etc. etc. He is flat out screaming at me in the lobby in front of all the other customers. I say, "whatever, I'm leaving and you can be assured I'll never be back." Apparently that was not enough for Brandon as he proceeded to follow me out the door screaming at me all the way to my car and standing in front of the driver's door so I couldn't leave. He kept saying "tell me we didn't do this on purpose" ... "tell me we didn't do this on purpose! I'm not moving until you tell me didn't do this on purpose!" Of course now after reading a few more of reviews, this doesn't seem to be too uncommon. Boycott this place. read more

I have had several family members that have used this Firestone in the past year, and we feel they try to intimidate you into their services, as well as just being condescending to all of the females in our family. Years ago I put places like Firestone and Goodyear on my "never again" list. However, I found myself needing a set of tires and after an extensive search found that Firestone had the best price for a good set of tires. Made my appointment for a Sunday because my coupon expired that day. When I made the appointment I forgot to mention that I need a state inspection so tried to add it when I got there. Was politely told that they only do those Monday through Friday. A couple of hours later they called and said that if I still need an inspection they would be able to get it done. I didn't notice the call until a couple of hours later. By then they would have been closing in a couple of hours. They said they would try to get it done but no guarantee because they were really busy. When I went to pick up the car, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were able to get the inspection worked in. The entire staff was friendly and respectful. This is important to me because a lot of auto service places are not so friendly when dealing with women customers. They appeared to be honest and didn't try to talk me into additional services that I didn't need. Overall I am very satisfied with the product and service that I received. read more

Had a blow out on the highway and was towed to this swell firestone. They serviced our car in a priority manner and did it with a concern for our safety. They discovered a tiny crack in the alloy wheel probably causing he tire to lose air thus the blow out. They made sure it was holding air and sold me two new matching fronts at what I felt was a fair price. They really took great care of us and did a trough inspection of the car. The manager Brandon and his assistant Avery as well as the regional director Darin got us in and out and on our way in no time at all. They even readjusted our bike rack and what a plus that was. I would totally trust these fine folks. Brandon actually had a follow up conversation with me about replacing the alloys wheels upon our return from Jeff city and gave me advice about the wheels. Called this location during the day to get a safety inspection. Was told I could bring it in the next day at 7am and it would be finished before noon. I called again a couple of hours later to see if I could drop it off at night the day before and was told yes. When I get to the shop around 6pm I'm greeted by a young man, I explain the situation, and he sort of cringed, saying he didn't think it could be finished by noon. I told him I was confused because I was told by one of his peers that it would be done. Then a middle aged white man in manager clothing walked behind him towards 2 other customers shaking his head saying "no way, no one here would have said that". He went on to tell me that they had too may drop offs and there was no way it could be done by noon. Hey, I get it, stuff happens and you can't always make the customer happy. However, don't accuse the customer of lying! A simple, I'm sorry for the mix up but we are really busy and I don't think we can make that happen, would have been fine. Also, you are talking to a customer like this in front of your employee and other customers! I wish I owned a business that was so busy I could blow customers off and do nothing to try to drive loyalty. Way too many auto care options in the metro to deal with people like that! Ps The first kid I talked to at the counter was really nice, if the manager would have kept his comments to himself I might have come back. read more

I went in for an oil change and also mentioned that my SUV had been leaking oil and causing a burning smell. The guy at the counter said he'd have them try to identify the leak while they were changing the oil. When the work was completed and I went to pay, he said he got too busy and never mentioned the leak to them...(pretty disappointing since I made a point to emphasize this). He then went into the garage and asked the mechanic if he noticed a leak and the guy said yes, but it's possible the new filter would solve the problem. Hoping that solved the problem, I drove off...and after about 5 minutes of driving the burning smell was back. Thanks for nothing, Firestone! read more

My service advisor James was unpleasant and greeted me at 7:15 p.m. by telling me the store closed at 8:00 p.m. I had the tires rotated the day before and almost died driving to the store after work. James blamed me for the "death wobble" and got me for a steering stabilizer and a lifetime alignment service that did not fix the car from bouncing all over the road. He also pressured me into buying $1200 worth of credit for ball joints I don't need and refused to buy. I still cannot drive the vehicle because it is that unsafe. I am waiting for Saturday to take it back when Ramiro can handle the job and will be back at work. The problem is my spare was rotated onto the car and it is a new tire. The other tires being worn make it a trick to drive the car with a brand new tire on the back. Shouldn't tire people know this? I had to call my 74 year old dad to get a good explanation as to why I was swerving all over the road. Now I park my car and wait for Saturday and pray Ramiro will handle it. I have to get rides from friends after spending $400.00 for nothing. read more
