I've been here a couple of times. We just moved to Missouri, so we had to get our cars inspected. They did a great job at a fair price. Our car had a tire that was bad so I ordered a new set from Goodyear. We set the installation appointment and when I brought the car in to have the car tires installed, they said that the tires did not arrive. It would have been nice to have been notified that they didn't have the tires before I showed up for the appointment. They weren't able to do much about the tires not being there, so I had to call Goodyear and get that resolved. But they told me what to do The shop, installed the tires, and did an alignment on our vehicle which is great now. When I picked up the car, all of the tires were under inflated and my monitoring system did not like that. So when I got home, I filled up all four tires from 38 pounds to 45 as they should have been. Cody and Tim are both very friendly and nice. We will probably buy from them again. I think there was just a whole bunch of errors that happened this first time, and hopefully not again. read more

We had a headlight out and it was an opportunity to upgrade them to newer technology (brighter white lights over yellow OEM). Typically this is something I can do by myself, but it's an older Mercedes and was very tight spaced and nearly impossible on the driver's side. After checking YouTube, you need to remove the tire as well to replace it. The work was done well and they were able to get me in the next day. I'm happy with the job. read more

I made a road trip from the DC area to see a show in KCMO, but on the way had a flat. It was able to be changed, and yes I was on a full size spare, but I had to drive back and needed a spare just in case. I called them the Tuesday morning before the concert, they said they could get two tires (4 wheel drive) in by later the same day but couldn't install until 0800 the next (Wed) morning. It worked out perfect because I had to leave that morning to get to OH by the end of the day. They were amazing, personable, and did a great job mounting the tires (and all the stuff to go with it) and putting the spare tire all the spare parts neatly back in the Jeep. And, for a GREAT price I was able to get the same EXACT tires I had on the other two. Perfect service, they did what they said and left me with the peace of mind knowing I would be safe for the 1000 mile trip back home. Good Old Fashioned Mid-west hospitality. read more

I was visiting my mother in her nursing home and discovered when I parked that I had a huge nail in my back tire. My tire was losing air at a rapid rate. I explained the situation to my mother and drove straight to this tire business in search of help. I was greeted by a woman who looked at the tire, announced that I had a nail in a spot that couldn't be repaired, that they didn't have a tire that would fit my car and that I would need to put on my spare. I told her that I don't know how to put on a spare, that's why I'm here. She claimed that she didn't know how to access the spare on my Acura and that no one could help me. She asked if I had Roadside Assistance and to call them. I did and waited an hour in the parking lot of this tire business for someone to help with my tire. The tow truck guy came and immediately questioned why a tire business wouldn't/couldn't help me. He did help me and it took 5 minutes. My husband arrived to help me after the tow truck had left and went in the establishment to question why they weren't helpful to his wife. They calmly told him that they told me they couldn't help me at THAT moment. That's a lie! I wouldn't have called Roadside Assistance and sat in a parking lot in the heat for an hour if they had indicated in the slightest that they could help. Their employee told me to call Roadside Assistance for Pete's sake! I have always had good luck in Goodyear Stores but this one is a huge disappointment. Not only would they not take 5 minutes to help me (I was not expecting free service at all) but they lied to my husband and tried to put it on me. I will be sharing this story with all my friends in Lee's Summit and the employees at the large retirement community where my mom lives. read more

Very poor, when I walked in to get a flat repair. The salesman and a mechanic were staring at a personal laptop laughing it up. When it came time for him to help me, he told me that they were slammed and I would have to leave it for three hours. Keep this in mind, no one was waiting in the lobby. He and the mechanic were BSing around a personal computer. Not happy with what I was looking at I took my business else where. You should too!!!!! read more

These guys have always been fair and honest with me. I've only done oil changes here but when there have been problems with my vechile that have needed further inspection/repair they called me out to the garage to not only tell me, but show me the problem. That builds trust, and with Mechanics that's always a good thing. I've also been to other Goodyear's that have not been as good as these guys. Highly recommend. read more

The service department is one of the best. They are so efficient and friendly. I have had in the past tires, oil changes and alignments. I have also had some recall items fixed. Most recently I had my passenger side air bag replaced. I was worried that It would take a long time to get a rental and leave my vehicle for the repair. I was in and out in less than 10 minuets. When I picked my vehicle up, the service department employees as usual were very friendly and efficient. When I got into my car, I noticed that they went above and beyond by throwing away my breakfast bag that I left in the car. You all are amazing. I will keep recommending Lees Summit Honda. New ownership of Midwest Tire has completely ruined the great reputation they once had. My family had used Midwest for over 25 years with no issues and amazing customer service. This is no longer the case. On April 14, 2018, my brother had his truck towed to Midwest with a radiator problem. In a matter of hours it went from a couple hundred radiator fix to a few thousand whole new (refurbished) engine fix. This took two weeks in the shop. When the truck was returned it was having problems at highway speeds and misfiring. When Midwest looked at it, they said it was now a transmission issue (more money) and that they didn't notice anything at highway speed. We decided to get a second opinion this time. There was no sign of transmission issues and all tests came back as the engine misfiring. Took it back to Midwest as the engine is "under warranty." They had switched two spark plugs at installation, so the engine was running two cylinders short and misfiring the first 500 miles it was in the truck. The truck ran better now, but was leaking a good amount of oil. We took it in and was told it was a gasket problem. The truck was dropped off, and we were told it'd be a couple hours. After a full day we were notified that it wasn't actually the gasket, that it needed sealant and they did not have that in stock. So we had to reschedule for another day. As of July 17, 2018, the engine is dead and Midwest is no longer honoring the warranty. They claim the truck was not driven as required with a refurbished engine, nevermind the fact it never even had a chance to sit right due to spark plugs being switched for the first 500 miles it was used. My brother does landscaping and hauls rock, dirt, timber, etc. They claim that due to a dirty/muddy engine when it was brought in to be worked on that the engine failure is his fault. We are out thousands of dollars with a vehicle that no longer runs, leaving my brother unable to work as he needs the truck for hauling. As I stated earlier, we've used Midwest for 25+ years, but they have lost a loyal family now due to horrible customer service, unknowledgeable mechanics, and caring about profit over honesty. read more

Nail in my tire--no appointment--they said it would take two hours; it took them FIVE hours just to say they didn't have my tire in stock!

I took my car here for a state inspection so I could renew my tags. They told me I needed about $1300 worth of work done in order to pass inspection. I was a little skeptical because some of the work they told me I needed - had just been done by my dealership a few months prior. I took my car back to the dealership - and they did about $300 worth of work so that my car would pass inspection. Goodyear was trying to milk me out of an extra $1000! I won't ever go back to that place. read more

I had a Mercedes tire that was flat and fixed by these guys. The wheel is 11 years old and somewhat scuffed. However I thought that Midwest Tire might have added some extra scratches. Joe looked it over and agreed. He and Tim sent the wheel out to have it refurbished on their dime. It took about 4 days to get it back and during that time Tim periodically called to give me progress on it. When I went to pick it up, the wheel looked brand new (making my other 3 wheels look old :) Anyway, can't say enough of how well they treated me on this and I'll definitely be coming back for all my cars service needs. read more

I got 3 estimates for QuickStruts from diferent shops (which is struts and the springs) and they were the first and the cheapest by $300. I took it in to have the work done and confirmed at that time that they were indeed using quick struts which they verified. My truck did not not feel any different but I gave it some time and after a month of feeling no improvement I got under my truck to notice that they had not replaced my springs and lied to me telling me that they used quick struts, which again were supposed to be springs and struts. I confronted them on this and they refused to honor their agreement to install quickstruts, evidently because they quoted me to low of a price originally so they bait and switched me without admitting their mistake before the work was done, nor did they admit that that they made a mistake in their original quote. I had about 8 conversations about my estimate before I decided to have them do the work, and I assure you that I, and they, were clear as a whistle as to the fact that QuickStruts with struts and springs were what I was supposed to get, not just struts. Do not use these guys! read more
