Husband & I just happened to be in LS,MO when our 2023 Titan flashed engine light and displayed collision lights and reduced our speed to literally under 5mph! I called them in a frantic and they said bring it in, we're open till 7. I said but it doesn't even want to go what do we do? Little did i know because we are still under warranty Nissan would have towed it for FREE. Did he suggest that? NO! Finally got there, they had no loaner vehicle and didn't even offer a ride to anywhere and said it will be done no later than 10am the next day. I had to call 2x's for updates. Said it was the throttle body. What service center makes you call them to f/u?? Ridiculous! Finally, a day later, I call AGAIN and some lady says the truck is ready. Fast FWD---truck did the EXACT SAME THING the next day. Husband made it to NISSAN in Tiffany Springs and guess what?? It's the throttle body! They NEVER EVEN FIXED THE TRUCK!!! Worst service ever. Made appointment dropped vehicle off and 9 days later still no repairs even started. I had to keep calling them for updates ,cause they never do. 9 days later I gave up on them and they turned on me like it was my fault they don't keep there word. I told them I was comming to pick my vehicle up since no work had been done. Get there and there's a new dent in my vehicle that wasn't there before,and they altered my vehicle to make sure it doesn't run correctly. If this is how a business works ,then never go there. Every review that has a complaint, the company blames the customers. News flash 100 complaints means it's the business,not the customer's. I had this shop rebuild the transmission on my 98 k1500. I spent $3200 for the transmission to last 18 months and 54k miles (150mile round trip for work). The OEM transmission lasted 24 years and 282k miles. The lady in the office just said, "welp, transmission is bad and you're out of warranty, but they'd be happy to rebuild it again for another $2800." Why would I spend another $2800 for it to fail again in a year and a half. I get it, I'm out of warranty, but come on. Online transmission remanufacturers offer 3 year unlimited mileage warranties. It's frustrating that they weren't even willing to work with me on getting it fixed. I'm not one to leave bad reviews but It's frustrating to spend that kind of money on a poor product. Evaluated my truck for no cost and gave me an honest opinion. Save me hundreds of dollars

I went to Lee's Transmission on a recommendation from a friend after being to by another shop that I needed a new transmission at a cost of $3000. Well I was very pleased. The owner came out of the shop, listened to my problem & went for a drive with me in the car at no cost. Even though it didn't act up at the time, he surmised what the problem was & offered to fix it for $325. It got it in the shop 2 days later & it was back by the end of the day. Last March of 2017 my group, Covet, had a transmission failure in Lawerence, Kansas. We found LST on yelp and they took us in. These folks spent a full day installing a repaired transmission and even stayed opened late to get us on the road to make the next show. You guys are sick. Thank you from California!! The transmission has since lasted well beyond the 10,000 mile warranty and is still going strong. read more

They repaired my transmission with a six month warranty, and a couple weeks later the transmission that they just put in went out. Took my car back and left it in their care for a week. When I went back to pick my car up there were hundreds of chips in my windshield, it was like looking through a prism. They fought me tooth and nail about fixing it. They told me it was from me driving through the salt during the winter time (never heard of a piece of salt putting hundreds of chips in a heavy piece of glass). Finally they put a new windshield in but they handled it very unprofessional, childish, and petty. I'll be very happy when the rest of my warranty runs out with them. We will never go back there again. read more

Horrible experience!! Beware do not waste your money here for poor products and service!! I have never posted a negative online review before, but here's what happened... Our 2008 Ford Taurus needed a new transmission and we took it to LS transmission. Within 2 months their new transmission failed. After some haggling they honored the 6 month warranty and replace that transmission. When we got the car back the windshield was badly damaged and they claimed they had nothing to do with it. Again with much haggling they finally replaced the windshield. Finally 8 months later, 2 months past their 6 month warranty, guess what happened? The 2nd transmission failed and they will DO NOTHING to offer even a tiny discount to help fix it. Nothing! Their office lady hung up on my wife who was simply understand what options we might have for a repair. $3,000 wasted at LS Transmission! Never again! read more

Took my Ford F-150 there for a metal grinding noice when I'm going uphill. They told me it was chopped tires. I instantly knew it wasn't chipped tires and I asked the guy if he was sure and he said yes. Almost spent 700+ on new tires when it was an IEW issue and only a 200 dollar fix. These mechanics don't know what they're doing. Will never go back! read more

Holy crap! I cannot express my frustration with words. First i was told my clutch would be replaced in 1 day, two tops... Took 5 days. They told me there was a leak on something they didn't touch was was leaking... THE TRANNY WAS LEAKING. So now they want me to pay 300 to fix it. What the hell? read more

Lee's Summit Transmission was recommended to me by a friend when the transmission on my vehicle bit the dust. This place is a smaller, family-run operation and although quaint in appearance, it is big on providing great service, excellent pricing and treating their customers right. The first thing that caught my attention is they do not charge for diagnosing the problem with your transmission; it's free. Afterward, they give you the option of installing a new, rebuilt or used transmission. I wasn't willing to spend close to 3000.00 bucks on a new transmission, so I opted for a used one. Another big plus is that they put a 6-month parts & labor warranty on the transmissions (at least the used ones) that they install. (Other places I called only provided a 90 day warranty). I had to wait 3 days for my (used) transmission to come in. They assured me that they inspect the transmission and make sure it's in tip-top shape and that their supplier is very dependable. They say any transmission that does not meet specifications will be returned and another will be sought out. To make a long story short, my transmission and clutch were replaced, car runs like new and this fine establishment allowed me to make them two payments so I could avoid putting it all on my credit card. Very fine establishment. My new clutch and (used) transmission with installation cost me approximately 1400.00 (tax included). I took my 95 Chevy Blazer to have my transmission rebuilt. They rebuilt it and it shifted great. I went to Minnesota and back to K.C. And then to Austin, TX. The rebuilt in August, it went out on me the other day! I called them them said I would have to bring to them so they could look at it. I AM IN AUSTIN TEXAS!!!! I was told I had a 12month 12,000 mile warranty when they rebuilt it. Now I was told it is local warranty! I spent $2016 dollars for the tranny work!!! Should last longer than 3 months!!! They should stand behind their work and make sure it is understood it is a local warranty!!!! read more
