2016 Mercedes-Benz sprinter electrical issue, booked appointment and before my appointment went in and asked them directly if they still thought they could take care of my issue they said sure all I can tell you if you have electrical problem. This ain't the place to take it. They deal with cookie cutter things and sevice small repairs that they see all the time , basically all they did was the codes . I already had the codes from another mechanic so basically they took my money and did nothing for me and sent me down the road. maybe for wiper blades and oil change they might be able to take care of you. wasted time and money. don't go. read more

Through my experience at Auto Doctors, I've learned they listen to your request, have skilled mechanics, and most importantly, they are honest. I brought a car to them, thinking it had a problem with the parking mechanism in the transmission. They thoroughly investigated the problem and determined there was no issue. Upon a close inspection I agreed with them. If they were not honest, they could have charged me to replace the transmission. I came into the shop with my car shaking and making weird noises. They told me that the spark plugs and ignition coils with fuel induction Servies totaled out to $1900 dollars. It took them no more than 2 hours of work to get the car back to me. I just moved down to Kansas City so I had no choice but to get the car fixed and trust them. Come to find out a month later by talking to a co-worker who works on cars that I got completely screwed. He did the math for me, and we determined that an extra $1,000 dollars was tacked on. Very unacceptable for any shop let alone a AAA approved place. Very disappointed that they do this to people that have no other option. read more

I brought my car here because my belts snapped and was hoping they could help with that. They told me it was $1,500. They said the problem was me needing a radiator. I then towed it to MOLLE VOLKSWAGEN and they inspected everything and told me my radiator is 110% fine. I only got the belts fixed and paid $50. 2 weeks later and my car has had ZERO problems and has been running VERY smoothly. So glad I dodged, haha!! read more

I had a terrible experience with this company. I had my vehicle towed in to their shop for service as it would not start. Turns out it needed about $1700.00 worth of work. When I picked up the vehicle I was assured it was completely fixed and that they had done an inspection and repaired everything that was wrong. About a week later my speedometer and tachometer started going haywire. The speedometer showed I was traveling at 40mph when I was parked! I called them back and brought my car in and paid $761 to have the issue repaired. I was told that they don't know why this issue had been missed or why it happened. About a week passed. I was called and told the issue was repaired. When I picked up my car with their assurance that the matter was resolved, I did not even get to leave their lot before the speedometer showed I was moving at 40mph when I was parked! I had to leave my car AGAIN for them to fix. A week passed. I called them as they did not call me after a week passed, I was told my vehicle needed to have the "cluster" replaced. (My vehicle is a 1993 Camry that my mother left to me. She barely drove it and it had 46,000 mikes on it!) The replaced the cluster, but, here's the issue. The cluster they replaced it with reflected a mileage of 146.000 miles on it! In a matter of a day my car gained 100,000 miles! When they called me,, they informed me that they had attempted to turn back the miles but could not yet find a way to do it. I was told to simply call them and I could bring the vehicle back later, (since I had been without my car for so long), for them to take care of as they were still researching the mileage issue. When I went to pick up the vehicle, I was then told that the issue of the additional mileage was not able to be fixed! I was then told that I should go online and see if I could locate a cluster with lower mileage that they would install for free. I went home and located a cluster within minutes. I contacted the shop and told them that I located a cluster with 25,000 miles. I indicated that I would like to have the cluster I bought installed and the cluster that they installed with 146,000 miles removed. I indicated that I wanted to be refunded for the $249 I had to pay to purchase the cluster myself. The shop replied and refused to refund my cost for having to buy my own part. I pointed out that I was not satisfied with the part they installed and only accepted it because they assured me that I could return and have the high mileage issue resolved. This was not true. Had I known that a part that would, in effect, devalue my car because it added 100,000 miles, I would never have settled for that part. Why would anyone? They installed an inferior part that instantly affected the value of my vehicle and only told me that fact AFTER they installed it without my permission to do so... which I never would have granted! Why should I have to pay for my own part to replace one that I paid them for in the first place? I then called, made an appointment, and they installed the cluster that I purchased online but still refused to refund me for their inferior part. Moreover, they do not return my calls or emails. I called them on the day they took out the 146.000 mile cluster and left a message stating I wanted the cluster that they removed that had the 146,000 miles on it returned to me because, after all, I paid them for it already! They never responded. At this point, I decided that others should be warned about this "AAA" endorsed shop. I am now seeking legal remedy as I want my $249 refunded for what I had to pay to buy my own part. If you need repairs, I'd go elsewhere. read more

I came here for a simple oil change, and was very, very happy. I'll definitely be coming back here in the future. The oil changes might be slightly on the expensive side - for my four-door sedan, it was about $38 with tax. BUT, you get the fourth or fifth oil change free (I forget which), which makes the price pretty reasonable. The tech mentioned some additional things to keep an eye on, but never tried to oversell me on anything or say "this needs to get done right away" - simply a "keep an eye on it", or a "next time you get an oil change". I had a flapping sound coming from the front end of my truck. They charged me $300 for 2 separate diagnostic testings ( on two separate days) that covered taking the drive shaft off, checking the U-joints and brakes. and taking various other guesses as to what the issue was. After being without a vehicle for 2 days and spending $300, they told me that they couldn't figure it out and that I needed to go to a dealership. I did take it to a dealership and the issue was identified as a panel under my windshield wipers being loose. The dealership tightened the panel up and charged me $75 for what amounted to less than an hours worth of work. Auto-Doctors seems to be big on racking up customer costs and short on expertise. How else do you explain charging a customer $300 without finding the problem and fixing it? read more

I had a very bad experience here. My car had no power. I could barely get it up past 30mph, and it sounded awful. The only reason why I tried this place was because I didn't think I could get it across town to my usual place in Lee's Summit, and I specifically searched for a AAA approved place. I asked for diagnostics on my car, and all problems they wanted to fix amounted to $1400 for a bunch of odds and ends and replacing a catalytic converter, which Sean told me would specifically fix this problem I was having. Well I didn't have the money to do this, so went to a muffler specialist to replace the CC for a cheaper price. It did not fix the problem, and as a result I wasted several hundred fixing something that did not need to be fixed. At that point I was in Lees Summit, managed to get it across town, so I took it to my usual place for another diagnostic, and it turns out I needed a new timing belt which was not one thing on that list of the first diagnostics I ran with the Auto Doctors. When I had it replaced and the problem fixed, I asked the Auto Doctors to refund my original $120 of faulty diagnostics. (OH need I also mention that they tell you that diagnostics are $80 plus some taxes. When you get there the bill is racked up to $120 for a few other hidden fees they fail to mention over the phone). I called them several times and faxed all my receipts proving that they did not detect the original issue, but the manager continued to ignore my request. Absolutely deplorable. I would not recommend this place-- especially if you are a young woman who works hard for every penny you earn because it will be a sorry investment for you and your car. read more

I thought Customer Service was a thing of the past. I was tired of the Quick Lube options and an associate mentioned Auto Doctors around the corner. She was very impressed in one of her recent trips there for repairs. I took a chance and went there for an oil change and recommended maintenance one of those quick lube locations said I needed. They went out of their way to confirm I didn't actually need that. They have been incredible to work with each time I needed service and in my opinion have gone above and beyond on numerous occasions. They are incredibly reasonable on their prices and I never have the feeling they didn't have my best interest in mind when discussing maintenance. read more

My wife's car had an electrical issue which caused the battery to go dead every other day. I took it in to THREE different auto shops before coming to the Auto Doctors. Two of the three said they couldn't find a problem and said nothing was wrong and that I must have left something turned on like the headlights, trunk or glovebox light. One of the other shops suggested over $1000.00 in various repairs which should remedy the situation. I was pleasantly surprised when I brought my vehicle to the Auto Doctors, they explained what they were going to do to figure out what was CAUSING the issue. After they did their diagnostic due diligence they gave their recommendations and it was a fraction of what the other place quoted me. The worst. Lie about work they've done that they haven't done, and try to sell customers things the customers don't need. Told me I needed a new timing belt and water pump when I had a new timing belt and water pump installed ($1,200) only 3 moths earlier. All I really needed was a thermostat, ($20) These are the people you watch out for when trying to get your car serviced. Find a reputable and reasonable repair shop. read more
