We took our 2019 Jeep Cherokee here due to a weird sound our vehicle was making. Our normal mechanic said that it sounded like it could be something related to the exhaust pipe and recommended diamond muffler. I called on Tuesday, explained what we were worried about and the man I spoke to Chris was extremely nice and said that he could fit us in on Thursday if we dropped the car off. We dropped the jeep off Thursday morning. I got a call later Thursday afternoon that the problem was the flex pipe and that they could repair it and I was told the price. I then got a call early Friday morning, saying that the vehicle was ready and I could come and pick it up. Upon arriving for pick up, the two gentlemen behind the counter were extremely friendly, and it was an extremely quick process. Everyone I spoke to was wonderful and very responsive, the issue with our jeep was resolved, and the awful noise has now been fixed. I can't thank the guys at diamond muffler enough for their help! They repaired a broken flex pipe for my car. 16 months later, my car started being loud again. I brought it into another repair shop and they told me that whoever repaired my flex pipe last (which was Diamond Muffler) had installed a rusted flex pipe and the weld wasn't very good. It shows because their repair only lasted 16 months and now I have to shell out up to $200 to have it fixed for a second time. I don't appreciate shoddy work and using rusted parts. Diamond Muffler charged me over $300 to do their "fix". This new place is only asking $200, suggesting Diamond Muffler is overcharging. read more

I brought my truck to Diamond after a towing company caused damage to a brake sensor. I was referred by the towing company. They were flat-out dishonest in their diagnosis of the truck's problems and took several steps to cover their tracks. Do not let these weasels touch your vehicle. read more

I have been to Diamond Muffler and Brake several times. It's ALWAYS busy. WHY? Because they are truly an HONEST car repair place. I can't tell you how many times I went in with something wrong and they found a simple, cheap fix for it when they could have just as easily ripped me off. And I'm a woman! The latest was my daughter's muffler noise. Most places would have charged me to put on a whole new muffler but this place said it was just a connector sleeve that had rusted it out and replaced it for a very reasonable rate. And I'm not even a good looking woman..lol! They've proven trustworthy and honest time and time again and now my whole family goes there. I was referred there by a long time Lees Summit resident and now I know why! What a business model...honesty. Wow! It's rare but somethings never change...Diamond Muffler is one of them. 38 years ago this business repaired a muffler for me for $5. That was after a car dealership told me it would be hundreds of dollars and thankfully my dad said he wanted to take it to Diamond before I spent that much money. I happened to be in Lee's Summit...stopped in to have them check the muffler...they were swamped but told me if I came back the next day they could take a look. The repair was done and the price was very reasonable. Almost 4 decades later, I'm still a very happy customer. But...there is one more thing...while I was waiting, I witnessed Chris, the owner in a very humanitarian act. I'll keep the details private, but Chris helped someone keep their dignity, and most likely instilled some self-confidence and pride into their soul. When no one else was in the waiting area I asked Chris about what he'd done and we had a nice conversation. Basically he said acts of kindness should be done from the heart not for recognition. I agree 100%. But that showed me the content of his character and why his business is so successful. May another 40 years pass with Diamond Muffler on that same corner providing the same old-fashioned service! May Chris and Joe keep smiling no matter how swamped they are with customers at the counter, the phone ringing off the wall, and the temperature in the 90's! Keep up the good work guys! I don't take my cars anywhere else. Chris and the crew are awesome. They do great work and stand behind what they do. If they fix it, they stand behnd it. I have been taking my cars and my kids cars here for 9 years and I can't ever remember any issues. Friday afternoon I called and asked of Chris could get four tires changed out on my wifes car before our trip on Saturday. Stepped outside this morning and saw my back tire had a flat. Drove it, slowly, to diamond muffler to have them fix the flat. There's actually a slice in the sidewall of my tire which can't be patched. Since I had purchased the tire from another store, The diamond muffler representative offer to put my spare on so that I could drive there to have them replace the tire. And they did this all for free. You don't find "old-school service" like that very often anymore read more

I have lost all confidence in this shop. I should have learned my lesson years ago when they installed the muffler on my 88 Toyota pickup at a 30 degree downward angle, causing the the front of the muffler to bottom out on dips in the pavement. They told me it was that way from the factory, until I saw one in the parking lot of the Toyota dealership with the muffler at a nice, level angle. Last year I bought a new muffler for my Dodge Dakota, and now 10 months later it's gone bad, and had to be replaced. I just went to Midas where they will stand behind the product with a warranty. I can't go replacing my muffler every single year. read more

In April of 2019 this outfit replaced and alternator on a 2009 Nissan Maxima. They charged a single mother 800 dollars to do so. The owner when she picked up the car stated the check engine light was on. This condition was not present when the car was taken in for alternator issue. She was told it was a VVT actuator bank 2. Guess what legs off of the same harness that runs to the alternator? The VVT actuator for the intake cam on the front of the engine. All I did was inspect and track down the plug that was pinned between the alternator and block. Pulled it out and plugged it in. Engine light is off and no charge to customer. Any credible place notates conditions of a vehicle when it comes in for repair. Follow up on a job is to inspect all aspects before giving the vehicle back to the customer. This single mother has no other options available to her for repairs. She paid 800 dollars to have an alternator replaced and a new unnecessary issue created. If I could give zero stars I would. Places like this undermine the credibility of the industry. FYI cost of a VVT actuator alone is 250.00 this does not include necessary gasket and labor. Buyer beware at this place read more

Needed rear brakes per my state inspection. I checked on yelp and gave Diamond Muffler & Brake a call at 9am on a Saturday morning. Although busy, they were able to get my Mazda 3 in and fixed by 11:30am. That is great, quick service. $150 for lifetime brakes seemed like a pretty good deal to me. No hassle at all. This place was great! I had a catalytic converter replaced in my 2006 Nissan Altima. I was a new client but had been given the name of Diamond Muffler & Brake by a person who knew a person who took their cars here to be fixed. The cost was very reasonable and the repair was completed in a timely manner. When my vehicle 'died' on my way home, I called this business and they immediately said to have it towed back and they would look at it before closing. It was determined another repair needed to be done on this vehicle (it does have almost 230,000 miles on it) and I was shown where the problem was. The new problem had nothing to do with what had already been fixed but the owner still said he felt very bad that it had 'died' on me and he treated me very good. The second repair was completed by the next day and again at a very reasonable cost. I felt so good about this business that I also bought my tires here and will continue to come back for regular maintenance such as oil changes, etc., as well as have this business address any issues my vehicle is bound to have in the future, due to age and mileage. In June we took our car to Diamond Muffler because it was overheating. They had it 24 hours and never called us. We called and they said it was ready to pick up, they'd flushed the radiator and the total due (even though we'd not authorized any work). Five days later, it overheated again and had to be towed to another shop, where we were told the radiator was leaking out of many places (we took a video showing fluid spurting out) and that it had in no way been flushed in the last 6 months. We took many photos and sent a letter to Diamond Muffler asking for a refund for services not performed and issues not addressed, but never heard a word from them. Will NEVER GO BACK. read more

do not go here. we where quoted 2100 dollars for somthing we do not think was even wrong. when we go to pick the car up they added an extra 500 dollars. with no reasons. this car could not pass inspection according to them. do not go here will just charge what they want at the end and show not proof of busted parts. every other car place we go to show us proof of the old and new. do not recommend. read more

We had a bad manifold which was quoted. When we went to get the car they put a new o2 sensor in without permission. This in itself is not the issue. The issue is that they charged us $74.99 for the sensor. I questioned this and he said they are expensive for this car. I checked on Amizon and the sensor is between$15.00 to $31.00 for an oem sensor. I called Oriellies (where they bought it) and they quoted me $51.00 RETAIL. I calle Diamond back and they said they DOUBLE THE PRICE OF ALL PARTS. I said you are buying at discount and then almost doubling retail cost. That is not right. They would not do anything, I should have refused to pay for the o2 sensor. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY THE ADDED $15.00 TO MY BILL FOR SHOP SUPPLIES. He said this was to pay for soap and rags and acetylene. I asked if he used acetylene, and he would not answer. When you quote a job IT SHOULD BE THE COST OF A JOB. i WOULD NOT USE THESE PEOPLE !!!! read more

I took my new and flawless $65,000 Mustang Saleen with 4,000 Miles to Diamond Muffler for a catback installation, going off of these reviews that praise them. What I left with was body damage to both quarter panels, that cost me another entire day and a lot of money at a PDR shop to have fixed. Chris wanted to argue he and his crew weren't responsible for, and how they weren't bad to him, "stuff happens" was his excuse. Well, "stuff happens" at this shop-I urge you to avoid it at all costs. He only reimbursed me $100, which I find more insulting than anything. You want to build and keep your customer base and everyone else they know in the performance car world, then take care of the customer, especially when it was negligent carelessness that damaged their vehicle. read more

I just tried a different muffler shop who gave me a cheaper quote, diamond gave me a range of price and probably would have ended up with the same price but I went for the gauranteed cheaper price, and the other shop reminded me why I have used diamond for so many years. I will be bringing my car to diamond to fix the other shops work. I don't know why I tried someone else cuz diamond always gives me fair prices, does good work and are friendly. Diamond makes me feel like an old friend everytime I come in, sometimes it takes seeing how others do business to remind us it is supposed to be done and diamond does it right. The cheap is going to come out expensive for me since I didn't go to diamond in the first place so learn from my mistake and go to them first. read more

evertime i took my car in it wasn't fixed right. messed up break lines .after it was supposedly been fixed.my break fluid leaked all out on my way to church.had know brakes .then chris said, i put the wrong size on .that would'nt of done any good if i got in a wreak.well i guess i won't charge you this time.he has know respect for most women.i had to have my dash taken off.l guess the guy who did it yanked it off broke my knob on my air conditioner and it was hot out then ,so he put it back on and never told me. so after awhile my blinkers started going off by themselves. and them my horn started sticking and then it quit all together.so it started getting cooler and l went to turn my air conditioner knob it just kept spinning around and around. it was broken.l know l did not do it chris ,told me why didn't you tell me sooner and he wasn't very nice about it.so they checked it out and it was broken.l wonder how that happened????? so they replaced it with a dinky gray knob,.that did not match.he could of got a new one at chevy. but. chris, charged me $12.00 dollars.and l was really upset.but, l paid it and then l went and sat in my car .l told myself that l wasn't putting up with this so l went in l was so made l started crying and he got mad l said ,l don't think l should pay for that you guys broke it. he said in a hate full additude i'll give you back your money.he was a real jerk .l didn't know it was broken . because the guy who did it.never said a word.the guy knew he did it and the blinkers and the horn.it was fine before they touched it.so a friend of mine paid for that job and it was like $500.00 dollars. for that tareble job.i was treated pretty bad cause he has know respect for some women i wasn't rude until i saw his bad additude.i had gone there a long time i remember when the other man ran the place he gave me a full exhaust front to back for $20.00 and i never felt more welcomed that day he was the nicest man.i would love to tell him how his chris treats people now!! i will never go back .he just wants money to maybe buy more silver crome to put on his walls.i know i will forgive him but,even god said to not lay down and let yourself be walked on. i read a review on him before from a girl who every time she would come in extra stuff would be fixed that she didn't know about.hes done that to me before .i will stop. he has no respect for most women. i have no star at all for this work. what they took the dash off for ,wasn't even fixed and radiator fluid leaked out still and every month l had to put a gallon of radiator fluid in. read more
