My car was wobbling a little so I went to Big o tires and had them drive it to find out what was wrong they said I needed a transmission mount and four struts. That total $2,400 Plus. I was queasy about the amount so I went to my own mechanic and asked him to try it we drove it together and he felt a little bit he said didn't we just do a transmission mount two years ago I said probably about there if I remember, and he said the struts are bad but all cars need struts eventually and this car has almost 200,000 miles on it. Your struts can wait they're not that bad. I think they're trying to get some money out of me being a woman and I senior citizen. read more

Had an appointment for 10 am for an alignment. At 11 am I noticed that my car still hadn't moved from the parking spot I left it in when I dropped it off. Took me 10 minutes of standing in an empty waiting room in front of 2 employees to even be acknowledged in order to inquire. Then I was told that there's a truck stuck on the alignment rack. I said that's fine. It would just have been nice if someone provided me with an update instead of leaving me sitting here wasting my time. Then I was told " sorry sir we can't predict the future." Ha! You can't predict the future but you can keep a customer informed, especially if they're sticking around to wait for their vehicle. It seems to me they have earned their 2 star Yelp rating by being so committed to providing sub par customer service. 90% of providing service is expectation management. If it's going to be longer than expected. Just communicate...it takes just a minute to show someone that you respect their time. The moral of the story is, respect the Yelp reviews. Got new tires here several months ago was quoted just under $300 for four new tires great deal however once you add installation warranty and an alignment that it apparently needed cost balloon to more than double over $650 also $$ for Air! that's correct air I'm assuming it's nitrogen? although there's no proof that that's what they put in there since the tire caps aren't green. I thought they put green if you have nitrogen definitely got charged for "air" just be prepared to pay about double the price of the actual tires I get you have to pay to install it but doesn't seem like a great deal. Also keep in mind this area has Flock cameras!!!! google= deflock! :/ . There's no way that I can figure out to go here without Home D. monitoring your movements! I would give a ZERO star if it was a choice. First, I called to verify that they could rotate and balance a Tesla and was told Yes. Drove there (less than 5 mins later) and was told they didn't have the right pucks, so they couldn't do it. I called a few weeks later and they said the pucks were there and I could come anytime. Of note, they recently had done about $400 worth of damage to my husband's truck (torqued the bolts on the air filter and didn't replace the dipstick all the way, so it spewed oil everywhere). They lied about the air filter needing to be changed as well! When they entered my info into their computer and saw it was my husband's truck that they did damage to, they refused to do the tire rotation on my car. Basically, they told me they would no longer service any of our vehicles and we have an oil change package with them. They damaged our vehicle and when we held them accountable to fix their mistake, they refused a simple tire rotation on my car. Stay away from this place. Looking at other reviews, it looks like they have damaged more than just our car. Went across the street to Discount Tire and they had zero issues rotating my tires and did it an hour for free. Big O lost our loyalty. We will be going back to Discount. At least they take care of their customers. read more

Went in for an oil change & an alignment. The oil was leaking badly after the oil change & the car still pulled to the right. The claimed someone didn't tighten something tight enough & they needed to adjust something in the alignment. Oil still leaked badly & car still pulled to the right. So we decided to go to the Hyundai dealer to see what was wrong. Big O cracked the part where the oil filter screws on & then added 3 thick washers to the oil pan bolt & tightened insanely tight causing damage. Do not go to this Big O. read more

I scheduled an appointment to have my battery replaced. Jeff had the technician install a new battery. About four days later we had rain. Only one windshield wiper worked. The other wiper didn't move. Went back to Big-O mid afternoon to have the wipers reinstalled correctly. The Big-O representative, Mike, said I would need to schedule an appointment as the calibration of the wiper system requires a "specialist," and that I could bring the vehicle in at 8:00 A.M. the next day when the specialist would be there. I arrived at the shop for my appointment at 7:55 A.M. I guess the specialist slept in as it's now 9:00 A.M. and my vehicle is just this minute being taken back to a bay for the service to the wiper system. I AM THE CUSTOMER who spent my hard earned money for poor service on my initial purchase. 30 minutes of one's time might not be significant. However, an hour's wait without a voluntary update on the situation causing the delay is a gross disregard for one's time. I have got a 2-year warranty on the battery and will choose another shop if this battery fails after the warranty expires. read more

Not sure i should even do a review. Not like anyone reads them, i sure did not. Have used these guys for about 10 years. Some repairs, mostly tires and oil changes. Tires include flats. First strange thing i noticed the 2nd to last oil change. No sticker or reminder. Same last oil change (which was done when i had a flat repaired). This Big O had put new tires on about a year ago. Expensive but my wife was starting Chemo and i could not chance having a flat. Cost of waiting to long to shop for tires. About a month ago i had a flat, took the car in and left it. No problem i have ride home, i can leave it all day or over night. While there is said do my oil as i was due. Told them 'NO AIR FILTERS'. Sure enough Jeff (not the service guy i worked with) calls letting me know i need air filters. Yes i know they are easy to change. Jeff lets me know that is why they don't charge to install. I held my tongue not saying 'sure but you charge me 300% of the cost at Auto Zone' .. I don't do higway driving all that much and i was leaving for surgery in NY. While i noticed the vibration in the rear end of the car, I did not get it in. Over the past week since i have been back it has gotten worse. I have has my Subaru shop replace the rear wheel bearings within the past several months so chance are .. Big O did not balance the wheel after the patch (they don't plug so i am told). The initial interaction was 'well you got the tire fixed a month ago'. Yup i was in NY having surgery for close to 3 week. Told them i would wait. 2 hours later i got my keys and left. The service guy (not Jeff) said it has been done. I told him the car has not moved. Then i am told i am up next. Said i have an appointment in 15 minutes. As i got in my car he followed my out and insisted that he told me it would be 3 hours. Guess i did not hear, but if i was the service guy i would have said .. 'do you want to leave the car and gotten an answer' I am deaf in my left ear, so he may have said something. Bottom line, they screwed up the flat repair, also never put a next oil change sticker on the window (the excuse for that is that customers don't want them). I have an appointment at another tire store around the block on Saturday to get all the wheels balanced. I will pay for it out of my pocket. Big O loses little other than someone who occassionally has tires repaired there and regular oil changes. They also lose all good will. Avoid at all costs. read more

Took my vehicle here for an oil change, tire rotation, and to fix a puncture hole on my spare tire, brought the vehicle to Big O Tires 9:00AM for a scheduled appointment. I didn't hear anything back for multiple hours, I went back to check what was going on around 4:30 after asking the front desk worker why it was taking so long and I was told they didn't put it in as a scheduled appointment but as a drop off, and said that I would have to come back for it in the morning, after picking up the vehicle I opened the hood to refill my coolant and noticed that the air filter box was not fully secured, the power steering reservoir cap was not screwed on at all and there was a flathead screw driver left inside the engine bay. Thankfully they covered the cost of the oil change but didn't even bother patching my spare. I do not recommend Big O Tires to anyone. read more

My wife brought her Honda Civic into your guises care, and when she received it back, her seat was torn and her stuff was thrown all over the car. The tire light was on. Horrible experience. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review. For reference, today is Tuesday. On Sunday, my father in law was driving my lifted F250 and unfortunately got an unrepairable flat. Big O was the only shop open so we had it towed there. They had to order our tire because they are oversized. The sales representative quoted us $500 on a replacement tire and said it would arrive Monday at 9am. We called Monday morning and they said it is now going to arrive at 2pm. 3pm rolls around and we don't hear back. I call and apparently they received the tire 30 minutes prior BUT they ordered the wrong tire. They said they would order the correct one and it will be there by 8am Tuesday and they will be there to make sure it gets done and it should only take 15 minutes once the tire arrives. I call at 1130 am since I hadn't heard from them and they had just received my tire 30 minutes prior and it would be done in 5 minutes so I could start heading over. I got there at 1140 and it still wasn't done. The sales representative said that they just need to re-mount the spare under the truck. 12:15 rolls by and they finally finish. I go to check out only to find out that we were quotes wrong and the actual tire was $600. Annoying but I guess I have to deal. I get back in my truck and head to a store only to find that they left the old tire (even though I paid a disposal fee) AND the spare in the back of the truck bed. I went back so they could mount it under the bed like they said they were going to. I waited another 20 minutes. The sales representative pointed outside signaling that my truck was getting pulled around. I go outside and one of their guys was trying to pull it into a parking spot. I try to wave him down to tell him that I can just jump in and leave but he's oblivious and ignores me while backing up and pulling forward 5-6 times, jumping the curb because he can't park the truck. He parked so close to the car next to him that I had to shimmy in my door. Even the sales representative came outside and told him to hurry up. Then I pull out of the parking lot and head next door to grab McDonald's for my kiddos only to look back and see that the old tire was STILL THERE! I whipped back around, jumped out of my truck, threw the tire out of my truck and took it in myself. To say I was out of patience is an understatement. I'll never go here again. read more

We took my daughters car in to get her tires rotated, and one of them checked for a leak. They had the vehicle all day and then when we went to pick it up, they gave us back the vehicle, as if they had done everything. On the receipt it stated there were two seized Lugnuts. When I saw that I asked if the rotation was done and they said it was not because they could not get the Lugnuts off. This is a tire shop. No one called to get authorization to proceed with removing the Lugnuts, so the tires could get rotated. took the vehicle to Kia in Scottsdale, and there were actually five seized Lugnuts that they took care of and had much better customer service. read more

BE AWARE! This is the worst company I have ever dealt with when it comes to car service. The store manager Jaime Ingle and asst manager Jeff Darnell are the rudest and the most unknowledgeable about cars as they come. This is dumb and dumber at its finest! I took my car in for new tires back in May and they suggested that I needed new brakes. I went back a week later to have the new brakes installed and $394 later I drove away thinking I was in good shape! Well needless to say it was the beginning of the worst experience ever, within a week my brakes started making noise like a grinding noise and squeaking so I went back, and Jeff said that I needed to speak to Jaime. I came back in, and Jaime said he will have them turn the rotors and put different pads on. So I waited another 3 hours to have this done. Once again, I drove away and within an hour I heard the same problems. I went back into Big O and Jaime wasn't in and Jeff again said deal with Jaime. I came back and spoke to Jaime and he claims he would order the pads from Mazda and this should fix the issue. 3rd time I drove away, and same problem occurred went back to Jaime for the 4TH TIME and all he would say is "what would you like us to do?" I told him they need to fix the issue. So now he said he will order organic pads from the dealer. I again went into the office to have the brake pads put on and again drove away within a half hour the same issue was back. Instead of going back to these moron's I went to Mazda. They said the incorrect pads were on the car and the rotors should have been replaced. Mazda printed up the findings and said to go back to Big O and and show them what they have found, and Mazda also said that the pads were not dealer pads. I went back to speak to Jaime and showed him the invoice and he refused to look at what Mazda wrote, and I asked him to show me the proof of the purchase of the dealer pads and he said he can't supply those and after the 5th time into the office I finally had enough. I told him that was bullshit and I wanted proof they were dealer pads. He then was tongue tied and had no recourse other than to throw me out of the store. He called his manager while I was getting into my car right in front of me and lied that I have been unruly from day one (which is untrue) and I told Jaime he hasn't heard the last of me and I drove away. Within a half hour Jaime called me and said that they will be refunding me the brake job minus the brake fluid flush for $95 and I told him that wa!!s unacceptable. He said that is what he is refunding me, and he hung up! This company is untrustworthy! read more

Then, when it was finally done, they had issues with my credit card because the staff didn't know how to run the card somehow?. The general manager was zero help. Took an hour to figure it out. The absolute worst of the worst people here. I purchased 4 new Bridgestone tires. One blew out (not from a nail or road debris) with under 30k miles on it. Took it in and they told me there was no warranty whatsoever. I was never told that at purchasing, who in their right mind would buy 2k tires with no manufacturer warranty? They even tried to sell me new tires and say mine were bad. Well I reached out to Bridgestone & these tires in fact have a 75k mile manufacturer warranty. Bridgestone sent me down the street to Discount Tire down the street FIRST they asked if everyone was okay which I appreciated. Discount Tire replaced my blown out tire with a brand new tire & didn't charge me a penny. I was out of there in 45 minutes. Big O is straight garbage & works on commission so they're always trying to scam you into buying something or telling you something is wrong when it isn't. I went in to have my car checked on the noise underneath my car, Jeff said, "I will have someone check it out right now". Well, It took about 17 minutes for his staff to check it out. Mind you, Jeff was helping other customers with their car care. But afterward, I'd say about 6 minutes after helping the other customers, he told me I am all set and ready to go. Dropped off truck at 1130 am, said take your time, call me when done. Task was remove and install existing tires on new rims I provided, called at 345 pm, was told I was next, maybe an hour or so, came by at 530pm just taking truck in garage, told 45 minutes at most, waited around, peeked in bay tires are off and that's it, nobody working on shit, managers chucking it up in office, guys in bay just fucking around. I ended up having tires put back on truck, nothing accomplished in 6 plus hours!!! And nobody gave a shit! Dude handed me my keys and said sorry Boss!!! Fucking unbelievable!!!! Called to purchase a tire, they said they'd be able to get us out the door quick. When we show up they tell us to wait in our car and they'll bring it out to us. Check back in with then 45 minutes later and im spoken to as if im an idiot and they tell me theres other people in-front of me and i cant skip a line granted they never told me a time it'd be done just to wait in my car and they'd bring it right out. So i go back in another 30 minutes later and then they tell me it'll be done within the hour and they'll call me. Tell your customers the first time when their service will be done and dont catch an attitude off of someone trying to find out when a product they paid for will be there. WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE! On Saturday I found a screw in my left rear tire, I called down to Big O Tires on Power and Mckellips and after being put on hold for almost 10 minutes.. I told him my situation and he said my tires are under warranty.. however he is packed and if it was possible to bring my car in 1st thing Sunday morning. I said ok, however I needed to drive so I went to Walmart and had them put a tire on, because my spare was a dry rotted doughnut. Showed up 1st thing Sunday morning, talked to a guy and told him what I needed.. 'there's the tire that's under warranty in the trunk of my car that has a screw in it, can you patch the tire and put the tire back on my car. The tire that 'Walmart spare' is on is the drivers side rear' he said ok, however we are very busy can you leave it and come back? I was like sure how longs the wait.. he's like 4-5 hours. I was like fine, just call me. I left and went home, an hour and 45 minutes later Big O called and said my car was ready. I was like great. Go get my car, the guy pulled my key out of the clear work order bag, and I was like how big was the screw.. he's like I don't know they didn't put it in here. I was like ok. Went home and went about my day.. at around 345 I had to put some stuff in the truck of my car... and to my surprise the same tire that had the screw in it was still in the trunk!!!! With the screw still in it!!! Needless to say I was mad! I called down there and again put on a long hold, told the guy what happened and he's was like can you bring it back.. I was like seriously? What did you do to my car for almost 2 hours? So i hung up and went straight to the shop. The same guy who gave me my keys originally.. looked at me and was like mistakes happen.. then proceeded to tell me I needed to move my car to the other side of the building.. why? I moved it then proceeded to wait almost 30 minutes for them to fix the problem they should of fixed that morning. I told the guy that I'm now late to work because of this. I'd give zero stars if I could... Took my vehicle there (running perfectly) for a coolant flush and a fuel system cleaning. I go outside to check on the car and to ask the mechanic a few questions while doing the coolant flush. He pops off my radiator cap (on a pressured system that's not drained), shoots out like a geyser and gets boiling hot coolant all over my arm and face, and goes all over my engine, windshield and front end. Mechanic apologizes, but I just care about the car. He douses the engine with water. I go tell the manager Ken, and the guy couldn't care less, just replies with "It happens". and charges me $190. Refuses to get my car cleaned either. I get the car back and it's running terribly, idling erratic, very slow acceleration and sputtering, with coolant all over my windshield for the drive home. Get home and clean my car. I take it back a few days later to have them repair what they did, they didn't have a shuttle driver when they open either so I walk 3 miles back home. They call later saying they looked it over and couldn't find the problem, and they don't have an OBD1 scanner to check the code. I ask them to check the distributor cap to make sure there was no moisture in there causing the issue and Ken hesitatingly agreed to check it. Picked it up later and Ken said they checked and no moisture was in there. I took it home and checked myself and there was water inside causing the issues. Replaced cap and it was fine after that. Worst place I've taken my car to in 20 years. Shows nothing but disrespect to his customers and couldn't care less when his tech burnt me and messed up my car. Zero compassion. I won't be going back there, or any other Big-O for that matter if I can avoid it, and I will encourage everyone I know to do the same.
