Took my car in for diagnostic due to clatter in engine when first started. Paid for diagnostic but was told warranty would not pay for repair. They put things back and I picked up car, and not only the clatter but now more rocker arm noise than before. I removed rocker arm covers off found 2 rocker arms with too much clearance in them from them having removed rocker arms. Was told that they had not removed them but I know they did. I got valves back out to get clearance right put back together runs good. Called Mesa Auto Works and told them of the problems and they denied everything. They had quoted me $3,400 for repair but checked with other shops and was told upto $2,300. I will not take another car there for repairs. Bill N. read more

Excellent brake pad replacement experience with my car. They scheduled me promptly and I had thought that I needed to have all four pads replaced but they informed me that just the rears needed replacement. I don't know where to begin when explaining how grateful I am for this shop. Last week I was run off the road in a hit and run, making my car completely undriveable. I had my car towed to a shop near by and was informed that it would by $3,600 in repairs, before my car would be driveable with additional repairs to follow. I am a single mother of two young children and could not afford a bill like this. I took my quote to Mesa Auto works for a second opinion and they informed me that they would be able to fix my car and save me a good amount of money on that price, based on the information provided by the other shop. One of the gentleman in Mesa Auto works spent hours of his day calling to find me parts from all over the valley that would save me money. I had my car towed to Mesa Auto Works on Thursday. They informed me that it would take until the following Tuesday to get all of the repairs done that was on the list from the previous shop. On Friday I received a call from Mesa Auto Works informing me that they did a full inspection of my vehicle, assessed the damage and fixed my vehicle for 15% of the cost. They informed me that many of the damages originally quoted to me were not correct and did not need repaired. I am a young female, who knows nothing about cars and would have had to find a way to pay the $3,600 because I believed the original shop had my best interest at heart when they assessed my vehicle. Mesa Auto Works truly spent the time on my vehicle and did not attempt to take advantage of my lack of knowledge in any way. The guys at Mesa Auto Works truly did have me and my children's best interest in mind. They fixed my vehicle quick and made sure my car was safe for me to drive with my children. The guys at Mesa Auto Works are all very kind and always give you the bottom line. They did not attempt to talk me in to any unnecessary repairs, or mark up the price in any way. I'm really disappointed to say that this shop really messed up my car and has cost me a lot of money to take it elsewhere. The management is really nice, which it's why it's disappointing. About a year ago I took my car in, for a pretty major job. During this time they broke my radiator, so they had to replace the radiator. Things were going okay at first, but about after 6 months the work Mesa Autoworks did didn't hold up and my spark plugs were oil fouled. I called and under warranty they replaced them, but then after only a week my car broke down. I decided to take my car elsewhere only to find out the spark plugs they replaced were extremely old and didn't even fit my car type so they kept popping out. After replacing my plugs and tube seals (at the different shop), car was running fine until my engine light went on. Took my car back into the other shop only to find out the radiator Mesa Autoworks put into my vehicle (because they broke my original radiator) was an incorrect radiator for my vehicle and cracked under the amount of pressure. I've spent a lot of money and wasted a lot of time fixing Mesa Autoworker mistakes. read more

I definitely warn you to stay away from this place. Last year I had work done at network automotive and got ripped off. I took my parts to mesa Autoworks for them to look over and to look under my car to make sure it was put together right and to do an alignment. I took it in and he looked it over and he said the parts were fine, not bad. And the alignment shop said the machine wasn't working to reschedule later. So I called back about a week later and the alignments still wasn't working. It's a hunter alignment machine that I wanted them to use on my car and it wasn't working. I called back week after week and every time they knew it was me they said the alignment machine wasn't working. Once they scheduled me and I showed up and they saw it was me and they told me the machine wasn't working. I stood there and looked him in the eye and he stood there and let me back in swore he would get me lined up. I took my vehicle to another shop and found out that axle has been broken. It was clearly obvious from grease and broken joint on the outside the axle was broken. So whatever these Mesa guys did they did not even bother to tell me my axle was visibly damaged. They sent me off on the road telling me at all look fine. And they happily excepted the $20 tip I had given them for looking it over for me. So today I figure I know I need a ball joint replacement so I'll just flat out get them to replace the ball joints. I called to schedule an appointment and he didn't ask what car I had or what was wrong or what my name was he just said to bring it in Thursday. when I explained that he had no details he started saying OK what are the details. I told him the details and he said bring it in Thursday I said you don't even know what even the vehicle is. He asked me what the vehicle was and I told him. And he said we got it. I said you have parts in stock? He said I can get it in 15 minutes. But he still hasn't even ask my name or talked price. So I just said sure I'll see you at appointment time Cory, and hung up the phone. These guys are so slack you're risking everything! read more

I own two Volvos. I was referred to this repair shop by another highly recommend repair shop that realized they could not adequately diagnose the particular problem with my car. I really appreciate the first shop's honesty instead of them just telling me this, that and the other needs to be replaced and attempting to charge me all along the way. I found the younger Stan, and the team at MAW, to be friendly, professional, proficient, thorough and honest. Their prices we reasonable and they did NOT recommend work or parts that weren't needed! I would recommend them to anyone! They work on all types of vehicles there and I will take my Honda van to them as well. We have been loyal to this shop for a long time, and used to receive excellent service in the past but I'm not sure what's changed (Stan retiring may have something to do with it). Both vehicles that we brought to them over the past few months haven't been fixed the way they were supposed to, resulting us in paying for services that didn't help and not knowing what's actually wrong with one of the vehicles.
