Food and service are always great. The gentleman taking our order was amazing. No complaints! One of my favorite local spots. I'm glad there are more locations in the area. Edit: I have now introduced my coworkers to Big Buns and we've been ordering it on Saturdays as a treat. One of my coworkers is now addicted to the cookie butter shake and another is addicted to the Hot & Hefe.

Frickin' Good Fried Chicken with Truffle Fries

A nice place to eat if you are near Wolf Trap for an event. I went here as a reasonable place to eat before a Wolf Trap concert. When we arrived, it was mostly empty. Ordering at the kiosk was cumbersome, but the cashier took our order at the counter. The food came out very fresh and they use real chicken here. The fries were also good. I like their selection of drinks and overall the price is reasonable when you compare to the rest of the food options around here. Solid sandwiches!

If you're craving a good quality burger and fries, a stop at Big Buns is a good idea - and there are other tempting items on the menu such as shakes and jammin' sprouts. Friendly staff and ample seating (easy parking too) are a bonus. I also appreciate that they offer gluten free buns. Will most definitely be back!

9 The 9-Year Anniversary Burger

I ate here with my mom and daughter after walking through the lights at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. There was only one other table around 7:30 when we arrived. You can order at the counter or there is a self-serve order kiosk. My daughter had a kids meal cheeseburger. I had the 9 year anniversary burger-bacon, mustard aioli, lettuce, tomato, 2-year aged cheddar, cooked medium. I got the combo with fries and a soft drink. I loved the blueberry soda-first time trying it! The fries were ok, probably would have liked the Parmesan truffle fries more. My burger was spot on -cooked medium-and delicious! Really filling and didn't crumble apart easily. My mom really enjoyed her burger too and it was cooked perfectly to medium. Big Buns is a solid local chain that I've enjoyed for years, and this location is no exception!

Horseradish Bourbon Burger (No Horseradish Sauce)

Tasty fast casual burger place. The place isn't huge but they weren't too crowded on a weekday afternoon. Everything was clean and bright inside. Burgers are made to order so they're hot and fresh and bring your appetite since these things are huge. I had the horseradish bourbon bacon burger and enjoyed it. It comes with Muenster Cheese Applewood-Smoked Bacon, Bourbon Mushrooms, Onions, Shredded Lettuce, andTomato Jam. I don't like mayo so I skipped the Horseradish Cream Sauce The fries were tasty as well and not too greasy so they went well with the burger. The peanut butter shake was also very tasty and worth a try. This place is a little pricey and like most places they de facto expect a tip even though they're fast casual. I enjoyed my meal and will come back here for a tasty burger.

FRICKEN GOOD FRIED CHICKEN

Big Buns was a delicious quick service restaurant that I'd love to visit again. The service here was pretty quick as you order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table, and the inside is your typical fast foodish burger place. The food was incredible though. The Fricken Good Chicken Sandwich was delicious, big, and definitely worth it for $13. The fries were also really solid and I liked the Maine Root drink options at the drink machine rather than the typical Coke and Pepsi options. If I'm ever nearby I'd love to come visit again and I'd definitely recommend you do too!

Burgers galore!

I like Big Buns and I cannot lie... something something... 1-800-Sir-Mix-A-Lot... more 90's reference... etc etc. To be honest, I wish I tried this place a whole lot sooner. The burgers are Damn Good Burgers... and I wish I can also through in a Twin Peaks reference here too but man... I'm just showing my age and I think I might be suffering through a mid-life crisis. Like I have so many failed aspirations and dreams but one thing I don't regret is getting some damn good burgers here. I also saw that they had a unicorn milkshake... but I didn't want to drag a milkshake back into Maryland because I was taking my food to go, it did you know you can buy the unicorn floaty without getting a milkshake. That's awesome news for people that are lactose intolerant... also... I have yet to meet a person that takes their lactose intolerance seriously.

Came here for lunch, and while I really wanted to like this place, I just wasn't impressed with the sandwich I got. I knew it came with onions, but I wasn't expecting it to be the main ingredient. While the beef did taste good, it felt like it was competing with all the onions inside which had strong flavor- even taking some out didn't do the trick. I just didn't enjoy this combination and wouldn't get it again. That said I would try this place again but get a classic burger or something in their regular menu.

Good chicken sandwich. Why can't we get forks? Why cant the dressing come on the side? Why can't we get ketchup? Why doesn't your cashier know the menu? Never coming back.

As burger joints go, this is now in my top 3, and this particular location was especially great. Walking in it's easy to get analysis-paralysis. All the options looked good, but I 'settled' on the Anniversary burger (with a side of Cajun fries). As with all great burgers, it's a race to devour it before the structural integrity of the bun collapses. I easily could have used a fork...but as a hamburger purist, I refuse to use such utensils in these circumstances. As I was devouring my meal one of the staff came up to me (the owner?) to ask how I was doing. I gave him a greasy thumbs up. Yes - definitely will return.

Fresh fruit juices self-serve - so good! Love the Strawberry Watermelon juice!!!

We had an incredible experience celebrating a birthday at Evelyn Rose!…read more The menu is exciting, seasonal, and features a TON of local options and farms- you can taste the difference. We decided to start by sharing the wagyu carpaccio, the fried green tomatoes, and an appetizer portion of the cavatelli- I really like that you can do appetizer portions of both pastas on rotation on the menu here. We were also brought two pieces of focaccia with incredibly flavorful olive oil (yum!). The cavatelli and the fried green tomatoes were standouts for us, the pasta had a great chew and the bolognese was really flavorful. The fried green tomatoes came topped with a pimento cheese that was incredible. For our entrees, we opted for the braised bison shoulder and the scallops. The scallops were perfectly prepared and were a very generous portion. The bison shoulder was so tender and the accompaniments were incredible- this was a perfect fall dish. We also got the charred sweet summer corn, which was delicious and came studded with the lightest goat cheese, and rustic Old Bay potatoes, which were absolutely perfectly fried and came with a side of some honey mustard. We took a good amount of the sides home and they held up for a day or two! I was really impressed with the wine list here- there were a lot of solid options. The champagne in particular was excellent (and I am picky!). Our server, who I believe was Riley, really made it a special night. He was so attentive and had excellent suggestions. One touch that was so thoughtful was that we had declined dessert because we would be having birthday cake later, but mentioned that the banana tres leches sounded so good. He brought over a scoop of the banana ice cream that's typically on top of that dessert with a candle in it! It was so kind of him to listen to us but still recognize that it was a special occasion- and it was some of the best ice cream I've had in a long time (he said it is made in house every day with duck eggs, it was so rich and flavorful). We have already booked our return reservation here! Thanks to Evelyn Rose for a wonderful night with such memorable food.

We started with the seared octopus with chorizo, tomato couli and parsnip purée. Beautifully presented and delicious. I ordered the cavatelli with fresh ricotta and meatballs. It was really good. Only complaint was it was a little salty. The past was so fresh!! My husband has the ribeye with fresh veggies and a side of the beef fat fries. The steak was cooked perfectly and the fries were so good! We passed on dessert as I couldn't even finish my meal. It was all quite good. The service was high end. Ashley was very attentive and our water glasses were never empty. We will definitely be back!

Ours made really good recommendations. There's a very good beer selection and wine choices as well. We ordered A LOT of food (no judgment!) because trying new things is fun! The French Dip sandwich was DELISH! Perfectly executed and the roll was homemade and perfect. The best were the fried mozzarella cheese sticks - they're absolutely enormous and provide the perfect cheese pull. Don't skip the lump crab dip - the homemade baguette was the perfect compliment and the flavor was perfection. The pimento smash burger was good, but I would choose other items over this. It didn't eat like a regular smash burger and was way too overly saucy for me.

The food was really good! I loved my steak and eggs which came with two crispy, garlicky hash browns. My husband thought the chicken in his dish was better than usual, juicy well seasoned and crispy chicken thigh. I didn't grab a photo, but the upside down pineapple cake was so good. The menu has a lot of choices and the prices are reasonable. Service was a tad slow. Despite signage, it was really confusing on where to enter.

I just knew they had a massive amount of butter in them for them to taste like that. The chicken was also pretty juicy, even the white meat. Overall, a pretty solid option. I was lowkey expecting to hate it, but in fact, I did not. The food here is pretty pricy, and I know my friends thought their steak and salad were just okay. I did enjoy the Ozzie rolls and my chicken, despite it being on the fattier side.
