I LOVE THESE MOVERS!!!…read more I have used The Other Guys Moving Company twice. Once from Boston to Northern New Jersey (Spring 2015) and then again from Northern NJ to Western Massachusetts (late Spring 2018). In both moves The Other Guys has been nothing but efficient, cost-effective, kind, helpful, caring, and flexible. Jane in the office rocks! Their email response time is second to none. Plus, she fields and fielded so many last moment changes in the move from Boston to NJ, she deserves a medal. I recently needed additional documentation to have my employer cove some costs and all materials were sent over immediately, even though my move was a while ago. In the most recent Northern NJ to Western MA, happened very fast and had a tight timeline. Julius and his team were able to help. I did not think they would even be interested in a move that required them to start in NJ, but thankfully, they were. Their quote was spot on and thorough, included toll estimates, mileage, materials, time, and more. Many other companies left out tolls and materials fees. Plus, it was much cheaper than some options in NJ (those NJ movers were BANANAS). They kept me updated the way down to NJ and throughout the drive north. When we got to the final destination in Western Mass, Julius made sure we saw the scratches on the hardwood, right under where we were placing our bed, left by previous tenants to ensure our landlord did not charge us. Each move, I had nothing damaged and everything was handled with great care and respect. I cannot recommend this company enough.

I can't say enough about how great Alexe and the Exela team were. They were super personable, responsive, helpful and diligent in their work. They took great care of our stuff and it was a pleasure to have them on our shoot for the day. Felt like old friends at the end. If you need a great moving company, look no further. Exela is truly a local small business built by a bunch of hard working, nice people!

On July 11, Andril V of Freedom Junk Removal RECEIVED HELP TO REMOVE THE LARGE ITEMS OF FURNITURE -…read morethe sofa, dresser, bed, nightstand, and cabinet, work that required 2 people (just look at the attached pic). I contracted with Freedom Junk Removal and spoke with Andril on May 22. The flyer clearly stated that TWO PEOPLE WERE NEEDED to remove all the items. On the day of the removal, my son had to leave his job to help Andril with those large pieces of furniture, as it was evident he needed assistance since he brought NO ONE ELSE TO HELP. My son texted to say that "the guy has no help, just by himself...we only have 45 mins" for the freight time. Unless he possesses some herculean strength to move those heavy pieces of furniture all by himself, I'd like to see a few pics of what he accomplished. He came ALONE so maybe he would not have to split the funds with anyone else. In his message that morning, I informed him that the freight elevator was available for him from 9-12. He responded: "We come at 11pm." I had to seek clarification that it was 11am. He gave the impression that more than one person is involved in the moving of items. Andril called me for payment after the items were out of the apartment, and I asked if we could work out a fair price since my son helped with the removal of the large items (see the messages below). He immediately began yelling at me at the top of his voice, yelling that he got no help and insisting on a payment of $480. I asked if he could lower it to $450 since he had assistance. But he continued to yell and threatened to leave the furniture outside if he did not immediately receive the payment of $480. His unprofessionalism and disrespect towards me, a woman, really bothered me, so I sent the funds to him via Zelle to avoid further conflict. I will not recommend or use Freedom Junk Removal again. My son is completely upset that he yelled at me and also lied about not getting help from him. I will NOT EVER RECOMMEND FREEDOM JUNK REMOVAL AGAIN. Andril"s attitude was truly "junk." 7-12-25: Andril is surely a liar, with broken English. Apparently he cannot read well. The flyer CLEARLY STATES " PLEASE BRING HELP TO CARRY THE STUFF" and he received this flyer just like everyone else who contacted me for the job. The freight elevator was on hold for THREE HOURS just for him (9-12) as he stated in his messages. We knew it would take time to move all the stuff, which by the way, I'm sure he's planning to sell, as most of the items were brand new from CORT Furniture. The flyer lists a 6-drawer chest, an office desk with office chair and other heavy stuff which needed two persons to move, so why must he lie so blatantly? This is what I messaged Andril at 11:21 a.m. on the day of the move and how he responded. Clearly, he has a problem with the language: ME: "Andril, the flyer clearly states to bring help to take the items out of the apartment. Kevin is not part of Freedom Junk Removal. We will need to work out a fair price. ANDRIL: "let it not help" Andril came at 11:00 and expected to move the entire apartment by himself, in 45 minutes! Really? Then he lied about the help he got. Only one person needed to be there when the "junk" came, and my son was there to meet him, thinking that he would bring help. Because the elevator had another scheduled customer, Kevin had no choice but to take time away from his work to help, to avoid the freight elevator being held up as it was already for TWO HOURS!. How inconsiderate! With Kevin's help the price should have been below the estimate, but I asked for a fair price of $450 and that's when Andril started screaming incoherently at me over the phone! Andril needs to brush up on his business acumen, and customer service, as clearly it appears to be a one-man business. He does not seem to understand what being polite and respectful to a customer means, and especially to a woman. But maybe that's how he treats women in his country. This is the U.S Andril, and women here are treated with respect, even on the phone when doing business. Simple. Kevin, as you stated is a highly-educated, polite, well-spoken, well-respected and well-mannered American young man because that's how he was raised. He was appalled and disgusted when he heard that you yelled, screamed at his mother, and threatened to leave the stuff outside. I've never had anyone yell and scream at me like you did! You should be ashamed of yourself! But we wish you well!
