Came here for outdoor dining. They have a very nice set up and everyone is kept with proper distance. The waiter was wearing a mask and was very polite. For lunch they have everything half off and at half off it is totally worth coming here! I got a peach Bellini which was also half off and was poured generously. The lasagna was absolutely delicious-- my dad was jealous and wish he got it. He had the bolognese. He liked the sauce but found the homemade pasta a little dry. My mom has the lobster pasta. It was a bit "fishy" for my personal taste. I did not like it. Overall I recommend coming for lunch at half off it is worth it if you are in the area! read more

Bice has been one of our favorite restaurants for years, until tonight. We got there at 4.00pm and we were turned away in the most abrupt manner. We were told we will seat you at 5.00 while this was happening a waiter came up behind us told us to get out of the way. There were many tables open. My family has been returning to BICE every year for 15 years and the food is exactly the same every time. Located just a short walk from the beach in an upscale downtown Naples area. But the best part of our experience is when the Singer does "O Sole Mio" at the end of Happy Hour... my wife is from Naples Italy and it makes her cry every time. 6/11/2017 - SUNDAY JAZZ BRUNCH Saw this place on our way back from our beach run. They had a great special, three course brunch for $24 per person. If you added the bottomless mimosas or prosecco, it was $32 per person. We knew this was the obvious choice. We walked in and sat on a table by the bar, in front of the two-man band playing great jazz. We were served the mimosas and a basket of fresh warm bread. After looking at the menu, we knew we were in for a treat. For the first course, we ordered the Gazpacho and the Smoked Salmon. I am not a salmon lover, but this smoked salmon was perfect. I ended up switching plates and eating the rest of it. The second course, we ordered the Steak and Eggs and the Pasta (see photo). Both dishes were delicious but the pasta was to die for. For dessert, we ordered the fresh fruit and the mango sorbet. We really enjoyed ourselves. The service was impeccable. Highly recommend! read more

My grandma absolutely loves this restaurant, but the overall reviews were very up and down so I wasn't sure what to expect when she said she wanted to eat here... When we pulled up I was pleasantly surprised to see a pretty good sized crowd for a Saturday night. That's always a promising sign. My fiancé and I ordered the tuna tartare to start. It was very good. Not excellent, but absolutely no complaints. So far so good. We then got dirty martinis with blue cheese olives. Also very tasty. We also got wine and the pours by the glass were very generous. For me, that never goes unnoticed or unappreciated! As far as dinner - my fiancé's dish was very meh. I would not recommend the spaghetti with lobster. We were pretty dissatisfied and it was rather bland. On the other hand, my dish was FANTASTIC! We both absolutely loved the tortellini with peas and prosciutto. The sauce was so creamy and the tortellini was cooked perfectly. I've read recent poor reviews on service, other great reviews on food, so decided to try it out. I've walked past Bice many times and made a note to try the bar inside. We sat down at the inside bar. First impression is the bar itself is way too high compared to the seats. The bartender was chatting with the patrons next to us for a minute or so. He then looked at me, said hello, then continued to chat with no acknowledgement he would be with us shortly. Several minutes later he moved to be in front of us. Not offering a menu or any recognition we might be at the bar to order a drink/food. We proactively requested a menu and just felt dismissed after that. No personality or feeling of customer service, as the vibe was not there, and the place is pricey, we left. read more

My favorite place for happy hour on 5th Ave. I really like the whole ambiance of the restaurant. The indoor outdoor feel is great in the front and the back has a more formal dinner vibe. Personally I like sitting at the pretty white bar. Their happy hour is 3-5 during the season and a little bit later off season. And the entire dinner menu is 50% off! They also have $5 wine,beer and well drinks. I personally always get the sangria served in a huge goblet. From their menu, I love the appetizers. My favorite is the fried calamari followed by the ahi tuna. They also do a very extensive cheese and meat plate that's perfect for sharing. Even their bread is very good with a delicious balsamic and burrata like dip. And they always seem to have a great live singer during happy hour. Really adds to the ambiance. This is my favorite place to go out with my friends and family the food is most of the times very good. This past week I went twice and one night a large party and we had a very bad experience. The waiter was rude arrogant and was taking the food off the table he couldn't wait to go home. I write this review because I want this place to be still be my place to eat. A disappointing Sunday brunch. Outside of the regular menu, Bice's Sunday brunch consists of just six additional entries. Eggs--their way, only a veggie omelet; a cheeseburger; bagel and nova; and a few other items. No eggs benedict; no French toast; no pancakes. It's more like a half-hearted attempt that falls flat. Had dinner here around 6:30 on a Friday night. Sat outside in their lovely patio. Started with Burrata and Proscuitto which was great. Then had the papardelle bolognese and chicken Marsala. Both were delicious except Marsala had a tad too much Marsala for my taste. We finished with a tiramisu. A hidden gem while walking down the streets of Naples. Not intending to go to this restaurant we see a large sign that says 50% off menu so we decided to check it out. Are assumption that a few items would be half off but it turned out everything on the menu was! That was very unusual for a restaurant to do that. After that sign and $5 dollar sangria we couldn't say no. We asked our waiter after getting seated why this was happening and turns out once a month they are starting a Italian party where they will do this. We just got lucky since locals made reservations weeks in-advance. Only seating we could get was outside which was fine. The sangria was a good portion and really good. Waiter said it was a sweet sangria, but our entire table disagreed. It wasn't dry or sweet it was exactly in the middle. Our table of four ordered two salads as appetizers to split. We got the Insalatina Mista which was the traditional and the Insalata di Spinaci con Mele e Caprino. Both of these were very good the dressings were amazing. We were excited to get our main entrées. We ended up ordering the Homemade Ravioli and the pan seared chicken breast with lemon and capper sauce. Both of these dishes were really good. The sauces on both of them were outstanding which really made the dishes. Recommend eating the chicken first before ravioli because the truffle oil is potent. Also order the grilled fresh mediterranean sea-bass which was flakey and flavorful. Very happy with our choice to stop. We had reservations on a Tuesday evening and was greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. Our server was professional, attentive and sweet. She took our drink orders and bought out water and bread. The bread was delicious and served warm with mascarpone cheese and olive oil. My wife ordered the sea bass and I ordered lasagna, both were served hot and both were delicious with good portions. The food, decor, and service were all great so I was surprised that the Yelp rating was only 3.5. I would definitely recommend Bice. read more

The St. Patty's day parade today. My go to places were so crowded we were only able to get a beer at one of them. Walked down 5th to Bice. Sat right down. Staff friendly, environment perfect for 5th ave. And the weather happens to be perfect today. Caesar salad was small but good. It could have been slightly more dressed, a little more shaved parmesan, and more than 2 croutons. Beef tortellini in parmesan cheese sauce was very good. The fried calamari was fried nicely, the 2 shrimp (which on the menu are referred as prawns) were also fried perfectly. The calamari was tender, but, cut a little too thick. The restaurant's marinara sauce is terrible. Thin like water, some diced onions (I think), and a flavor that resembles tomato soup much more then marinara sauce. The sauce is so integral to the dish that to think that this is Bice's sauce will guarantee that I never return. Too bad. read more

When our table was ready, it required the manager to get our check because it took forever for the bartender to get our check after asking 3 times. Dinner service was rushed. My family had a reservation that was confirmed twice via email but was then canceled by the restaurant ten minutes prior to our arrival. The only fine print comments in our email confirmation stated that we should arrive fifteen minutes early, which we did, and that we "may be contacted about the reservation," and to be sure our phone AND email were updated. As we received a confirmation the day before our reservation as well as after the reservation was made, what more could one expect? However, upon arrival we were informed that our family member that made the reservation had been called "ten times" to apparently "confirm" (again?) And because she didnt answer, they had just given our table away. Bottom line: Eleven family members, from a baby to an elderly person, were then berated and turned away for not having taken calls from an unknown number. Instead of explaining any of this kindly, the manager immediately stated "maybe next time you should answer your phone." She refused to acknowledge our reasonable confusion, and we were shamed for relying on two written confirmations of the reservation. I tried to get her name but upon hearing it was for this review she asked me why I thought we were special and refused to restate her name for the record. Her insulting tone and comment set off a downward spiraling attempt to ask how they could cancel something that was confirmed twice in writing. Moral of the story? Answer all unknown calls and do not rely on written confirmation No. Go 10 meters further and dine at a deliciously quaint and friendly Italian restaurant Molto that not only got our money but also a great review. This is one of the best places to venture out to for happy hour on Fifth Avenue. The appetizers are half price and they are a meal in and of themselves. We decided to try the calamari which had perfectly battered crust topped with two lightly battered shrimp tossed with some lightly battered veggies... can you say YUM? We also tried the eggplant Parmesan which was prepared in a delightful Italian red sauce it was the perfect proportion for two people to split. My only recommendation is perhaps a different sauce to accompany the dish. We also had the broccoli Raab it was seasoned just right with garlic and a hint of butter. Remember if you both have garlic the breath factor vanishes. Probably one of the dirtiest restaurant/bar I've been in. And the smell of bleach was overwhelming. Bar stool, bar, restrooms, walls...all showed incredible wear & tear.
