Super cute place! I had a really delicious classic cheeseburger, and I don't know what seasoning they put on their French fries but they were amazing. I also got the Cheeky Tiki cocktail and it was perfect. The guy who was both bartending and waiting tables was busting ass and killing it. He probably deserves a raise. I'm definitely coming back!

Nutshell: if you are a person who enjoys quality good, not fancy, just properly executed, you will hate this place. Waiter says, "we are known for our onion rings, you have to have those." Well, I enjoy a quality onion ring, so let's do it. Absolutely a huge mistake. Calling them greasy is an understatement. There was also not a lick of seasoning on them. They tasted of bland grease. Also, any server suggesting a gigantic basket of onion rings to two normally sized people is a jerk. Even if the batter wasn't shattered off half of them, it would have been a waste. The burger suffered from the same fatal flaw. I cannot recall ever eating a burger with less flavor. Zero salt and pepper and swimming in so much grease, the bottom bun collapsed upon pick up. This isn't an exaggeration. Flavorless. The lobster roll at least had some lobster, but again, just mid. Salt and pepper escapes them. I cannot stress enough that you should not eat here. My meal was free with the Platinum Rest credit, and I'm still angry about it.

We had just landed and stopped in for a quick meal, but it turned out to be anything but a typical Saturday night--the Bears vs. Packers game was on, and the place was absolutely packed. Even with kickoff still an hour away, the energy was already buzzing. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes for a table. Our server, Matt, was upfront and friendly, letting us know the kitchen was backed up and food would take a while. We were tired from traveling, so we kept it simple with iced tea. Matt checked in to let us know when our order was coming up, which we appreciated. I ordered the Rock Burger, but be aware: cheese is extra, and fries are extra. The burger itself was a thick, juicy patty with cheese--no lettuce or tomato, which I expected. The fries portion was pretty small, maybe a handful, room temp at best and was missing salt. (No salt on the table.) On the other hand, the brisket tacos were good, and swapping the tortillas for lettuce worked perfectly. Overall, it's a fun spot for game day, but be prepared for crowds, plenty of noise, higher prices--and some inconsistency in the food, especially during big rivalry nights. BTW, Bears Won! GO BEARS!!!

The restaurant he usually goes to was packed, but as it turns out, that was a blessing in disguise. Just around the bend we found Pelican Bend, and I'm so glad we did. The parking lot had a handful of cars, and there were a dozen or so people scattered around tables and the bar--definitely felt like a laid-back spot where locals hang out. The setup is great: several rows of Adirondack chairs, an outdoor bar, about 10-12 umbrella-covered tables, and a screened-in porch with another bar and additional seating. Relaxed, coastal, and inviting. Our waitress, Sydney, was absolutely lovely--friendly, kind, and honestly one of the best servers I've had in a long time. She was very personable and made several recommendations, all of which were spot on. We started with the calamari, which can be tricky, but this was cooked perfectly. My dad ordered the seafood chowder and a wedge salad and loved both. I ordered the grouper sandwich with a side wedge salad. Between the calamari and the salad, I was so full I ended up taking the sandwich home--and it was still delicious the next day after a quick spin in the air fryer. If you're in the Marco Island/Isle of Capri area, definitely give Pelican Bend a try. Great food, top-notch service, and thoughtful touches too--the sun kept shifting, and the hostess even came over to rotate the umbrella for us. A really wonderful experience.

We were walking between two locations and stumbled upon a mostly-hidden outdoor bar and decided to stop in. If we weren't paying attention we would've walked right by. They have live music regularly. Nearly all seating is outdoors with a few indoor tables. Definitely nice to find somewhere outside of the beaten path, avoiding tourists to enjoy. We will be back.

I ordered a Down Island Chicken, which was cooked to the point, which I even couldn't cut with the knife, not mentioning of chewing It. The only shrimp on my plate had a funky smell. All the vegetables were overcooked. I could eat only mushed potatoes, only because I was hungry. I told about the food to the waiter, which was taking my plate with a non eaten food. He just took my plate, didn't pay any attention to me. Our waiter never asked us about our food and we waited for a check for a great long time. I wrote about my food on the check and didn't give any tips. When we were leaving the restaurant, the manager ran after me and started shouting at me asking why I didn't mention about it when they came by and over and over requesting the tip for her waiter. She was extremely rude and her behavior is not acceptable! I would give them ZERO stars.

She was attentive and efficient. The food she suggested: elote, very good! We did get the guac and chips too to use the chips with the elote. That was the problem. The guac was somewhat tasteless, but the chips were very bad. They tasted like they were made in old rancid oil and they make them onsite. They even smelled like old oil. We let her know and she brought a new batch. Still tasted bad. We suggested her to try them and she did and agreed they were not up to par. I felt the grease even coated my tongue. The cornbread was excellent. Because the chips were so bad we got the guac and rest of the elote to go so we can eat at home with some good chips. We got the bill and even though they agreed they weren't as good as normal they still charged us for everything. That is a problem. She should have had them take them off the bill. We still tipped 18% but that isn't good when they don't make it right. We may give them another chance but still charging males that less likely for sure.

A Hidden Gem in Downtown Naples -- Don't Sleep on This Place!…read more I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was buzzing -- the outside patio was at full capacity. I asked for a seat at the bar, and even though space is very limited, the staff went above and beyond to find me one. That kind of effort on a packed afternoon says a lot about this team. The bartender was phenomenal -- attentive, warm, and somehow managed to make every single person at that busy bar feel like they were the only guest in the restaurant. The whole staff carried that same energy. They were also wonderfully descriptive about the daily specials and menu offerings, which made ordering a pleasure rather than a guessing game. I decided to try the crab cake, and I'm so glad I did. I grew up on the East Coast eating crab, and I've had my fair share -- I've long held that Phillips in Maryland made the gold standard. I am happy to report that Captain & Crew has dethroned them in my book. This crab cake was pure lump crab meat, not overpowered by fillers or seasoning. You could actually taste the crab. The accompaniments they served alongside it elevated the whole dish even further. Thoroughly impressed. The wine pairings were equally well-curated. I took the staff's recommendations and they absolutely nailed it. A heads-up for first-timers: parking is the one small challenge. There's no convenient lot right there, so you may need to use a parking garage and walk over. Honestly? Embrace it. If you're already in Downtown Naples, it's a beautiful stroll that perfectly sets the mood before you arrive. Captain & Crew is a true hidden gem. Many people come for the fresh seafood market, but don't overlook the restaurant side -- it's absolutely worth your time. Highly recommend.

And we accomplished just that! We started with some Stone Crabs, then some Peel & Eat Shrimp, then my wife and I shared an entree of Blackened Grouper with sides of fries and coleslaw, where we also added a few scallops. Delicious! We thought we were done, but our server informed us of the excellent Key Lime pie. We had room to share one slice, and we are so happy we did! It was excellent. A great balance of tartness and sweetness. We look forward to returning!
