The ambiance is fantastic! I've been here before and always had a good experience but I haven't been here for a year or so. We went in for a drink, the bartender was very rude. There were 6 of us. She asked what we wanted and when my friend asked what kind of seltzer she had she told her "Read the board." Then her husband ordered us each a beer and she told him he was too slow when he hesitated in a Miller Light versus Coord Light. She made us wait 20 minutes before getting us our drinks then insulted our friend several times. It was extremely rude. I've been here many times and recommended it. Tables can be hard to find when its busy so keep an eye out on tables that may be waiting for a table at a restaurant across the way. Shane's is an EXCELLENT place to hang out under when a fast moving storm approaches. Nothing better than a Sailor Jerry & Coke while lightning strikes 300 feet from you and the rain is coming down so hard you're surprised it isn't coming through the roof. Another round? Well, I don't have anywhere else to go... When the weather is nice.... it's a bar, its outside, it has TVs, and its by the docks. The drinks aren't very expensive, and the people are generally very nice. There is always something to watch on TV, and if that doesn't do it for you, just watch the boats going back and forth under the bridge. As others have mentioned...there is limited shade seating, but there are tables with umbrellas not too far away, and there is a seemingly endless amount of railing to lean on should no seats be available. Just be aware - if you are like me, coming from smoke-free NYC...people are free to light up - and the majority of what is chosen are very large, very slow burning cigars. Last night we have visited the bar about 10 pm. We are tourists but we travel to Naples since five year and Shane's cabana bar was our favorite spot. We wanted to show this nice place to my sister-in-law and her husband. Just when we arrived at a table a mexican guy(service) asked us for a cigarrete if he would give us a dollar. My husband did not want to spend his last two so he rejected. The guy answered in a very unfriendly way :" You do not want to make a Dollar?" and just went to the other tables. It was a bit confusing because he was asking at every table around us. We also had a camera on the table to take some pictures from us as a memory. The next time he passed he was asking if we are really filming and seemed to be annoyed even though the camera was pointed at us. After that everytime he went away with the golf cart he stared at us like he was looking for a confrontation. I still don't get it because he works there! When we arrived we were in a good mood and wanted to get some cocktails but this guy seemed a bit angry that we went to Pinchers after 2 drinks. He is the reason we will not come back. After recommending this place to over 20 people I stopped by on my way home to catch the end of the playoff game (jags at Steelers). I walked up to the bar and just went right to the bartender. Asked what she had on tap and she looks around and condescendingly says "we don't have taps". She didn't bother showing me the list of beers she just stared blankly at me. Last 4 times I was there they had taps. So I fumbled a bit and Finally saw the beers on ice (all domestic crap); I cringed and ordered a corona. She puts a lime in it with the same hand she just took money from. I watched her do this 15 times and finally left. No sanitation! John Taffer would have a field day with this person! What a miserable person. This place has so much to offer but yet hires these bimbos to run the bar. I would say it's bad service but it was pretty standard for Naples. Cute little place right in the water in your expected upscale Naples shopping center and condo plaza. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming off the water for a beer. Speaking of coming off the water, along side the bar, there are quite a few boat/jet ski/ kayak rental places that can turn an OK day shopping, into an awesome day exploring the Naples back water. Being so close to all these cool attractions, Shane's is super convenient and a really niche place to stop. For a mixed drink? Not so much. Absolute and seltzer was more like ice, 2.5 shots, and a splash of seltzer water. Margarita with ice on the rim was a margarita with ice on the bottom... This meant every sip was a mixture between the flavored of a margarita and salt water. The beer list was pretty extensive for such a small establishment, but one thing that always annoys me is when bars put Sam Adams on the "import" list. I understand wanting to charge an extra buck for Sam Adams but having it on your menu as imports is confusing. Most of the time, I love to start my time at the bar off with a basic IPA and Sam Adams Rebel is a decent choice. I didn't spot it on the menu because it was hidden in the imports when I was looking at the domestic. Disclaimer! This little discrepancy is just a pet peeve rant and doesn't affect the rating. Bartender was friendly, but busy. Maybe this is why the mixed drinks weren't that enjoyable. Will be back because of location, friendly service, and delicious/cheap bottled beer. read more

This Cabana Bar contributed to us unexpectedly falling in love with Naples...enough for us to move from the most perfect location in S Beach (were we crazy?), to Naples. We love that the intimate Cabana Bar is on the water, with a beautiful view, and we enjoy watching Executive Jets landing and taking off overhead..such much to take in... and we have always been treated well by Staff... a bonus is that we we enjoy the music on tap as well as the music venues.
