The "modern Italian" spin will tantalize your taste buds along with the elegant ambiance and special attention given by the entire staff. We had the extreme pleasure of celebrating our anniversary this week. Angela made sure that we were well taken care of along with owners, Edmond and wife, Lydia, ensuring that we had a memorable celebration. The place was packed for a rainy Saturday night. A couple of tables with big parties where the service was still attentive (Thank you Sandra!). Plenty of seating at the bar. Nice family run place where supporting the local economy is good. The food was excellent where the charcuterie board was the appetizer and the short rib (very tender) and swordfish (flavorful) on risotto rounded out the entrees. The atmosphere is lively and pleasant, and the service was excellent from start to finish--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. As for the food, it was decent but not particularly memorable. Delayed reviewing this place for a couple months but the experience was so incredibly horrific I feel compelled to offer a review still. My group of four came in for an after-dinner cocktail and didn't realize the bar was closing in fifteen minutes. Bartenders didn't inform us of this and served us our drinks. Service wasn't attentive, but there was also nobody else present. When asking for a second drink and some waters we were met with eye rolls and reluctance. We asked what time they closed and the very young female bartender responded "right now because I said so." She proceeded to have a horrible attitude and yelled at a friend of mine who insisted she didn't need to be so rude. I was appalled by the behavior and the owner seemed apathetic. Will never return. I've never had such a horrible experience and I hope the bartender is no longer working in the service industry. read more

Eh. We sat outside which was nice for people watching. Food was okay, but took over a hour to get basic meals (ordered 3 pasta with meat sauce). The bread that came out was not the best and than the second round of bread was a different kind... maybe they ran out? My child was out to eat with us (2 year old) so we had some special requests for him, the grilled salmon came out quick and our toddler enjoyed it. My mom asked for no pistachios on her beet salad due to an allergy and her salad came out with nuts on it. Same thing with the pasta for my son, I asked for it without anything on it ... no butter.. no oil... no sauce... but it came out with oil on it. Wonderful experience... From our initial call inquiring searching all over NAPLES for the best chocolate lava cake... The search is over ....it is here! Everything was amazing SERVICE with a smile. Phenomenal. We reserved a table for six on one of their busiest nights (4th of July) and as busy as they were, the service was impeccable. Sandra, our server, was attentive to our every need and was in constant communication about the status of our order. For appetizers we had the wagyu beef carpaccio which was melt in your mouth outstanding. So delish! For the main entree we had the veal milanese and lobster ravioli. Both entrees were fantastic. Veal was tender and flavorful and the lobster ravioli was presented with four large raviolis overflowing with chinks of lobster along with savory lobster meat in the tail. Ottimo is now part of my weekly selection! I love the little table outside, seeing tourists come and go. The management is amazing, the two women welcoming people are always kind and nice, adding a family vibe to the restaurant. The beet salad and the prosciutto melon are fantastic. What really make me come back all the time are the garlic prawns, almost gambas size, and delicious, the chef is really making them like in south of France/Italy. I love them. Finally, the waiters and waitresses are really fast and making us feel at home. Our table is always available and it makes me happy. Great place. read more

Cozy and friendly ambiance, the food was superb. We had the whipped ricotta cheese and the octopus and smoked tuna for starters I can't say which was more delicious than the other. My granddaughter wanted mussels and although these were not in the menu, the chef obliged and made her what she wanted. We sat at the bar and split the margarita pizza. The pizza was ok, decent size and shareable. I like a margarita pizza with sliced tomatoes. The tomatoes on this pizza seemed to be canned diced tomatoes. The crust had a decent flavor. The restaurant itself is sort of stark and colorless, lights need to be turned down. Despite only 4 of us at the bar the service was less than stellar. It's probably one of the more casual restaurants on 5th avenue. Guess that's a plus. read more

We tried the Caesar salad as well that was just ok. For our meals we got linguine with meatballs which was loved and the rigatoni alla vodka which was mouthwatering! Worst part of our experience was the staff. The hostess was rude when I said we did not have a reservation even though the restaurant was basically empty. Our waiter said about three words total to us the whole time as well. They also seated us about 1 foot away from the only other people eating at the restaurant which was odd. The female owner with short blonde hair was exceptionally rude. We had a reservation for a birthday dinner, sat 30 min late and proceeded to be berated by the owner because the hostess had comped our drinks for the wait. She said that is not her job to comp drinks and yelled at us as if we were at fault. She then stayed we should expect to now anticipate our meal to take a long time to come out and we could either stay or leave and go somewhere else. All because they over booked the restaurant and are now blaming their customers. We had a reservation for 8:30pm and didn't get our first bite of food until 10pm when every other person who arrived afterwards received their meal. She deliberately moved our food to the back of the line. We have come here multiple times and previously loved it and now we will never come back again. Highly recommend going elsewhere. read more

My wife and I are dinner here on Valentine's Day. The restaurant was not even open a month at this point. The service was impeccable ! The staff were attentive and friendly. They have a wine sommelier as well. I had asked about a wine I never tried and he opened a bottle just so I can try it. I have never come across that kind of service. The appetizer, main dish, and desert was top notch. There was a great vibe throughout the night. I was impressed from the beginning all the way to the end. Beautiful new place on 5th we stumbled upon. We got attracted to the design of it, it looks very chic and a beautiful woodwork on the bar area. They were super busy but were able to accommodate us. Fantastic, creative food! Everything we tried was top notch: calamari (not your typical prep, super creative), Cesar salad, sword fish (properly done, not dried out like most places) and mushroom truffle risotto. Service was super attentive, so we asked for our server's name for the next time. So ask for Efren! As a side note, this place is allergy friendly, they were able to accommodate my dairy allergy.
