Worst restaurant in Mercato, and I might even say Naples overall. The service was HORRIBLE and slow. No one came to give us water on a 90 degree day until we sat at our table for about 15 minutes. No one is friendly and about 5 different people come to serve you so you don't actually know who to call upon for service or to give a tip to. 2nd problem is the portions. They are the smallest size of anything that I've seen here. Don't come hungry because you will not be satisfied. Don't forget to bring your checkbook though because for $12 you can get a slice of white bread with a tomato as a "happy hour" treat. You can get better food at BRAVO 3 storefronts down the way at Mercato and have much better service as well. The best item of the meal was the pizza as it is very traditional style and seemingly cooked in the brick oven they have inside. The places I WOULD recommend for Italian are Caffe Milano and La Trattoria on 5th Ave S. Please don't be fooled by the crowds at Bar Tulia. Unless you're "family" they don't care about you. Pro tip: don't forget your own hand sanitizer because they don't have soap in the bathroom so god only knows how the staff wash their hands.

Bar Tulia Mercato offers a cozy, rustic ambiance with welcoming service. We kicked off our meal with a must-order: the oysters. Fresh and beautifully presented on ice, they come with classic accompaniments, including horseradish, cocktail sauce, mignonette, and a mini bottle of Tabasco for an extra kick. Next, we enjoyed the arancini, followed by the Jabroni and Margherita pizzas. The Jabroni pizza had a great flavor profile with a satisfying kick. One nice touch is the table-side grated cheese, red pepper flakes, and salt for seasoning. It may sound unusual, but if you order the Margherita pizza, try adding a sprinkle of salt--it makes a surprising difference! Order some cocktails and enjoy a lovely meal.

Just when we thought Italian food wouldn't taste good in Florida after coming from Italy 1 month prior we stumbled upon this place yesterday. Although it was raining, we still opted to sit outside as they it's covered & has a functional fan. Didn't feel the heat on a 90 degree summer day. Ambiance outside was worth it! Excellent food & service! We tried the beef carpaccio, salad as well as steak, house made pasta & pizza

Great spot- for happy hour, dinner, any time of day. Most recently I visited for Happy Hour- it's from 2:30-5:30! What a perfect way to end the work day happy hour is available throughout the restaurant, not just at the bar. I really enjoyed the tiki drinks- they are flavorful and not too sweet, and there's a good amount of alcohol. My friend ordered the fried chicken plate- a pretty large portion, and tasty too, with 4 pieces of chicken, good coleslaw and lots of fries, all for just $15! It was definitely slammed during happy hour and you may have to wait for a table. We got there around 5:20, and since we said were just there for happy hour, they needed our table by 6:15. We were out around 6 anyways. Our server was very friendly and remembered to check in on us plenty of times even though she was very busy. Overall, great spot for good drinks and tasty food.

We were looking for a good happy hour and stumbled into this spot. It was packed! I should've know since it's Naples. We were lucky to get a table at 6:30. We were seated outside. Great covered patio with fans. We quickly ordered food and drinks before happy hour was over. I ordered the bucket of chicken. It was actually pretty good. I asked for a side of honey and I was content!

I stopped by Bar Tulia at Mercato on Christmas Eve expecting a special dinner, but left extremely disappointed with both the food and how the situation was handled by management. I ordered one of the dinner specials advertised as U10 (colossal) scallops with risotto, priced at $54. What arrived was a plate with three very small scallops, each measuring roughly 1¼ to 1 1/2 inches in diameter--clearly not consistent with what is commonly understood to be U10 scallops. When I brought this to our server's attention the second time she offered to have the manager come speak with us. The manager stated that a U10 scallop could be as small as 1.6 ounces, which did not align with what was served and also is questionable. I explained that the scallops on my plate were well under 1.6 ounces each and that I am familiar with standard scallop sizing. The manager then offhandedly offered to bring one additional scallop, which felt more like an insult than a solution. Adding another undersized scallop does not correct the fact that the dish itself was misrepresented. At no point was there an apology, a replacement with properly sized scallops, or any adjustment to the bill. For a restaurant charging premium prices--especially on a holiday evening--I expected better quality control and far better customer service. While mistakes happen, dismissing a valid concern and offering a token fix rather than a real resolution ensured this will be my last visit to Bar Tulia.

    The prosciutto slicer is amazing

The food is always fabulous and the service is professional and friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The prosciutto is amazing.

Just an absolute disgrace to the Italian heritage. To hint at being an Italian family restaurant is an abomination. I brought my mentor from the Napoli family here, and he was genuinely offended. And the meatballs? I don't know what kind of operation lets something with that smell leave the kitchen.

We had a great table and our server came with our menu and the wine list as well as some crusty bread. There are numerous salads, appetizers, entrees, and even pizza on the menu. I started with a Caesar salad, which I thought was super pricey, but was very good. I was able to enjoy it before I ordered my entree. I chose the gnocchi and a glass of wine. The gnocchi came out in minutes and was some of the lightest, fluffiest gnocchi I have had since New York City ages ago. Good choice. The server wasn't rushing us, but let us enjoy our meal at our pace, which was refreshing. Overall, nice experience.

First, was an attractive plate of lightly breaded hot and tender Calamari with a lemon parsley aioli. A top 10 presentation of this popular dish. The pan fried snapper sandwich was fresh and crisp with a vegetable giarderian topping. It's the little things that Campiellos does so well. Each sandwich came with marinated pickles and carrots along with hot feather-light potato chips with garlic and wonderful crispy parsley. The chips alone are worth the trip. Our second sandwich was the lobster salad which is described as spicy fra diavolo, but was more a lemon and chive taste. Delicious tender lobster and those sautéed chips with parsley are off the hook. We usually have the pasta for lunch and it is excellent. It's nice to see what a great job they do with sandwiches.

We shared bruschetta and burrata appetizers- fresh and flavorful. We ordered seared ahi tuna salad, margarita pizza and snapper as our main dishes and everyone was very impressed with their dishes. I…read moreshould've been leery to begin with, as we were able to get a table for six with less than 24 hours notice, at 6 PM. This does not happen during spring break in Naples at a good restaurant. Let's start with the atmosphere: this is not a fine dining establishment, especially when you compare it to everything else you get to experience on 5th. Some of the most upscale and beautifully adorned restaurants and businesses call this street home, but we chose Pescheria for a moderately priced meal, which is not what we ended up having. It's not a terrible atmosphere, but it's certainly casual. My whole group was very disappointed to learn that this restaurant only serves beer and wine, which further entrenched our belief that we were at a casual, affordable establishment; frankly this should've been the red flag to go elsewhere, but it's pretty slim-pickins around the dinner hour last minute in Naples, so we stuck it out based on the great reviews. The bread service is good, but don't bother asking for butter, they said they have some but never brought it to the table. They do have a great wine list, especially if you like Italian reds; definitely the best part of the experience. Our group ordered two of the Dover Sole special, a pasta dish, and a grilled branzino. I'm partial to both of the fish; some of the branzinos and soles I've had have been memorable and delicious, so I do tend to seek them out. If you also love branzino, you probably know that $50 is on the high end of what you would generally pay, and Dover sole might get you up to 60. If you eat in restaurants, you also know that it's common practice for servers to tell you the prices before you order, so you don't have to embarrass yourself by asking for the price of a dish you want and then denying yourself because of the price. Here, they don't tell you the price, and if you're an idiot like me you'll just go ahead and order it assuming it's reasonable like the rest of the menu. My branzino was $70, and the Dover sole was $75, and frankly I wouldn't have ordered them at all, let alone paid a fortune for them after I tasted each of these dishes. Branzino was cooked nicely and deboned well at the table, but that's pretty much it. The fish had zero flavor whatsoever. The Dover sole had flavor, but it wasn't a good flavor. It was fishy. And when we told the staff that the fish was fishy-tasting, they argued with us incessantly even though we told them we're not asking for a discount, we are simply letting them know so they pay attention for the next diners, but that wasn't good enough for them. They continued to argue with us before we finally told them to walk away and leave us alone. So in hindsight, there isn't a thing that would bring me back, not the atmosphere, frankly not even the wine list (it's Naples, throw a rock in any direction and you'll break a great bottle of wine); not the service, not the price, not the cocktails, not the food. And if none of those check the boxes, somebody please tell me what the appeal is, because I'm not seeing it. Don't worry though, if you don't like your meal you'll be gaslit into thinking it's fabulous because the server can show you pictures of himself fishing (I'm not making this up).
