    Soggy pizza
    Evan A.

So although I'm a bit of a pizza snob this place was actually pathetic! Gave the waiter our order with four toppings that only came with two toppings! I asked him if he wanted to write the order down and he said no. He has it. But he did not! He didn't even remember what you ordered! The bottom of the pizza was thin and mushy! No crispness whatsoever! We would have been happier with a Di Giorno. The bread was good but the oil and vinegar was weak! That's all that was oil and vinegar no salt no pepper no Italian seasoning whatsoever. Aside from that the manager could give a rip about the quality of the food or the service! I asked the manager if he had a lighter or some sort of for a cigarette. Made absolutely no effort to try to help me out! Manager could care less whether we were happy with our meal or not. Never came over to apologize for the wrong order or even ask any questions! Too busy chatting with a couple at the bar. We will definitely not be returning!!! Horrible Customer Service. See attached photos.

    Chicken Parmesan...yum!

Our first visit as this is a very new restaurant. Everything was so delicious. We went with friends and they had a pizza which they loved. My husband and I wanted to share pizza but I'm vegetarian and my husband loves meat. We were told that in order to split a pizza 1/2 veggie specialty and 1/2 meat specialty it would be $4.75 per topping which would amount to a crazy price. Because of that my husband and I decided to get our own meals. I got that shrimp Scampi and my husband got the chicken Parmesan. Both were absolutely delicious!!! We'll definitely go back.

Food was very good. We sat at the bar and had a terrific cocktail. My husband said his chicken francese was among the best he's had.

It is the best NY style pizza I've had since I left NY 40 years ago, and I've tried them all around here. Two thumbs up!

These folks understand the meaning of craft cocktails, complete with making as many of their own ingredients/mix-ins as possible. We were lucky as we were able to just walk in and pick any table we liked at 8pm on a Wednesday. I guess it can get quite busy at times. The chartreuse colored chairs and gorgeous stained glass lights told me instantly that we came to the right place. They have an extensive cocktail list, but that didn't stop me from ordering something not on the menu. They had no questions or problems making it. My spouse also ordered something not on the menu that was recommended to her by someone that had it once here before when it was one of their seasonal specials. Once again, not a challenge for these master bartenders. Everyone was upbeat and clearly enjoying what they do. Looking forward to getting back the next time I'm in Bonita.

The cocktail list is really well laid out, with lots of great options and perfectly executed cocktails. The service is great- very upscale. I also really enjoyed that there's live entertainment. The night we were there it was a duo singing 90's songs and playing guitars. My ONLY complaint is the juxtaposition of the chill vibe and the alarmingly loud music. The whole place is maybe 400-500sqft and the equipment was at a volume like they were playing to a room of 1000 people. We were in the furthest corner from the musicians and it was still way too loud- it messed with the vibe of the place. I looked over at a poor sap sitting right next to them - he was completely detached from his party's conversation because he couldn't hear anything but this music blasting him in the face. Recap: - Vibe - incredible, cozy, upscale - service - excellent, professional - music artists - talented, great song choices - music volume- absurd, counterproductive to essence of the place.

Food is really creative, but many of the dishes are just ungodly sweet. Charred kale salad was probably the best kale salad I ever had, perfectly delicious and highly recommended. The roasted Brussels sprouts, on another hand, were really, really sweet. The French toast with duck was really creative, but again, really, really, sweet. Seafood fried rice was excellent, very tasty. The "cinnamon roll" desert was just a riot. It was huge in size and delicious to the last morsel. Excellent service, prompt and attentive. Recommended, but if you don't like sweet cuisine, you will need to be careful with your choice.

-- A Rooftop Gem Where You Feel Like Family…read more I'll be upfront -- I have social anxiety, and crowds can be genuinely overwhelming for me. My first evening up at Tigress's rooftop, I walked into a packed house with no reservation, and it was simply too much. Rather than give up, I called the restaurant shortly before close and asked about reserving a table for the following night. Just one person. What happened next genuinely surprised me. They were absolutely fabulous. Not only did they accommodate me without hesitation, they reserved me a spot in the bar area and had it ready the moment I arrived. The second I stepped off that elevator, I was greeted by name, welcomed warmly, and made to feel like I belonged there. It wasn't a restaurant experience -- it was a Cheers experience. You know the show. That's exactly what it felt like. Service was prompt and attentive from the start. My drink order was taken and delivered quickly, and when I asked for a menu recommendation, the staff guided me toward their signature crab fried rice -- and I am so glad they did. This dish is unlike anything I've had at any Thai restaurant, and I've had crab fried rice at quite a few. The blend of ingredients Tigress uses is truly special. Every element comes together in a way that feels almost magical. Worth every single penny. I've seen a few complaints about pricing, but when you consider the quality of ingredients that must go into this dish and the skill required to execute it -- the price is more than fair. Sincere applause to the entire staff for their grace and kindness. A standing ovation to the chef on duty that evening, and deep gratitude to the executive chef who curated this menu. And special recognition to the bar team -- their craft cocktails are clearly designed to complement the food beautifully. I will absolutely be back. Tigress has earned a loyal guest.

My first course a Caesar salad had some brown romaine, so I returned it though it had great flavors, but wasn't wanting to wait for a new fresh one to be made, so they took it off the bill and insisted on an immediate complimentary beet salad replacement which I took them up on. The beets and cheese part was awesome. I didn't mention it to them, but I used to be an executive chef of high end white table cloth restaurants years ago all over the SE including New Orleans, Atlanta, Tampa, so I was very impressed with their wanting to make us all extremely happy and make up for the salad mistake. The flavors in the Tuna Tare Tare, Shrimp Ceviche was incredible, and my Lamb Shank had some of the best spices I have ever tasted in a shank. Then the owner insisted on a comp baklava dessert for our mother's birthday and it was a very unique original flambe' presentation. Most of the places I was a chef at, the servers had to do old school tableside caesar with the egg yolk, dinner like Steak Diane, dessert and flambe' drinks and I realized how rare that this is these days. Many restaurants could learn from Amber Cove, as they turned a somewhat little disappointing salad start to a great evening with class.
