I don't understand why this restaurant fluctuates so much between visits. My recent visit was so awful that I still feel a little queasy thinking about it. I had steak and asparagus, and both were so over coated in some sort of flavorless oil...maybe canola oil. The asparagus was slick and just had no flavor. The steak was partly rare and partly well done... I ordered it medium, and there was no part done to this temperature. Really a horrible meal, in my opinion. Everything was good, nothing was great. Everything was under seasoned, but they do have salt and pepper on the table, which is good because you'll need it. Risotto was not my preference, as it was more greasy than creamy, and under seasoned, the few bites with bacon were good. Grouper sandwich was pretty good. Sat at the bar and thought the establishment had an upscale feel with a more casual flare. Bartenders were pleasant and mostly attentive to our dining needs aside from a few cases of having to ask for more water. Enjoyed a lovely bourbon cocktail that had an appropriate balance of bourbon flavor and the remaining ingredients. Ordered the brie and pear pizza and was rather satisfied. Only note is that the honey left a bit of a sticky mess and the overall flavor profile was sweet without much contrasting saltiness or spice that would've helped. Arugula was a nice touch! We had appetizers for dinner. The Ahi stack, the Coconut Shrimp and the Margarita Pizza. Plenty of food for the 2 of us. Now let's talk apps. The Ahi stack presented well, it was laying on some soba noodles and I tasted mango in it. I think next time I will go with the ahi dinner plate. The pieces were on the small side so we had a hard time actually getting a good taste . We had 5 coconut shrimps. They were hot when they arrived and I really liked the aioli sauce. It was very pretty ( see my pictures) the margarita was just right the pesto was not overpowering which suited me fine because I am not a pesto person. Our server was Emily. She was good and attentive. Over all we would give the food the following rating: taste 8. The presentation 9. Value 8. Went to Oar and Iron in founders Square recently, I had short rib which was mouthwatering, my husband ordered the whole fish special entrée and for the table we shared the octopus app. They have the half of wine bottle night!! Yay for the Hubby!!! The service was fantastic. We had a very professional young lady server, named Ryan. She suggested the short rib for me and the fish for my husband, she was spot on in her recommendations! Dinner was amazing and it was all very shareable. My family and I had dinner at your restaurant on October 26, 2025. We were impressed with the restaurant's inviting atmosphere and overall presentation. My wife and son ordered the Apricot Pork Chop with succotash and were pleased with their meals. I ordered the Chicken Bucatini, which unfortunately lacked seasoning and the expected garlic flavor. The Lobster Bisque had a good texture, but the sherry flavor was overpowering. Our server, Sara, provided average service and did not seem particularly attentive. Considering the overall experience, I found the meal to be overpriced for the quality received. Unfortunately, the visit did not meet our expectations, and we do not plan to return. I'm typically the type of customer who values good service and is willing to give a restaurant a second chance, even when the food is average. However, in this case, there seemed to be a noticeable lack of care both in the food preparation and in the service provided. read more

Overall food quality is very good, this is my third visit. Tonight was the first time I sat at the bar for dinner. The three bartenders tonight were far more interested in talking and joking with each other than serving drinks. I felt like I was interrupting / inconveniencing the bartenders to get a beer. We left early and went to another place to get drinks, we would have stayed had the service been better. Please hire a better bar manager to help employees focus on customer service. It is very awkward as a customer to listen to bartenders laugh and joke in Spanish while I wanted to get a beer. I am confident you can do better, it starts with leadership and direction. read more

*New spot in Naples* Although located in a fairly new strip mall, the place was packed! The vibe is upscale yet has this casual and cozy feel. I came in my finest Nirvana tshirt and shorts while the table next to us had on full suit and evening attire. Our server was the cutest little thing, so sweet, so friendly. She told us the restaurant opened about a month ago. My mom and I ordered a bottle of red (Josh Cellars). It's been a long week! Since it was a Friday night, during Lent, and I try to be a good catholic girl, unfortunately, I opted out of the mouth watering meat options on the menu. I decided to go with my favorite ...Lobster Mac and Cheese. Let me tell you... they did not skip out on the lobsta! The meal was amazing! Huge portions too. Mom went with the roasted chicken with glazed Brussels sprouts and said it was incredible. Again, the portions are a lot...she ended up taking half of her meal home. So, this is my favorite restaurant east of 75. Also about 1/2 mile from my house so the wife and I come here once a month or so. I highly recommend their steaks and love the shrimp cocktails. Burgers are solid as well. Tried the "Friday summer special" tonight. $15 fish and chips. Great price but to be honest the description is a bit misleading. It should be listed as an appetizer. The single slender piece of fish was about the size of a fish sandwich at micky D's. I do understand that $15 is a very reasonable price but I would prefer a real meal. Perhaps $15 for one slender piece and $20 for 2? That would be more fair. In any event, will definitely be back and will stick with the steak! read more

First time here after driving by for a year and saying "we need to check this place out". So glad we finally did. The Pear and Brie pizza is amazing as was the lobster bisque. But what really stood out was the Seafood Fra Diavlo! Loaded with jumbo shrimp, calamari, mussels, clams and squid. And the pasta was perfection. My husband and I each had cocktails, and he is a stickler for how his vodka gimlet is made and he couldn't have been more pleased. Amazing service, AJ was super attentive but not pushy!! Those in our party that had The Cure Burger loved it!!! The "bowl" of Seafood Chowder for $11 was just a few bites but it was tasty. The worst part was the Impossible Burger. It was the absolute worst vegetarian burger I have ever had. It was 2 very thin fried patties of impossible burger fried so much they were like 2 hockey pucks. First AJ is phenomenal. He knew the majority of the menu and even asked if we had an allergies. Being a pescatarian I'm always weary of soups- he confirmed the soups were seafood based (I'll get it next time I come). The ambiance is nice-upscale- no complaints there. We were there on a Saturday night and it wasn't packed nor was there a wait. Surprising yes- but read on for maybe the reasons why... We wanted the smoked fish spread but they were out so add that to next time too. There were a ton of options and all of them sounded so good- so we decided to order 7 apps/small plates to try them all. We ordered the summer/seasonal salad with goat cheese, roasted beets, squash and pepitas- it was Devine- as in the best thing IMHO we ordered! Get the salad! The ahi tuna poke stack was the most unappetizing thing I have ever had. The tuna had a nice (what looked to be) layer of sear on it but turned out to be a layer of fatty and chewy fish. I get that it was a salad but it was presented more as a mess - just unappealing. The noodles had a pasta like flavor that was off putting and just didn't blend the entire dish well. I had one bite and another piece of tuna and called it quits. We had the $10 bread service that came with a marrow butter and berry jam. The breads were supposed to be a jalapeño cornbread (it had zero jalapeño but was the only star of that service), sweet potato roll that was not sweet or potato like at all (white bread at best) and a pumpernickel bread that was a bit stale. My boyfriend said the marrow butter was good and I guess that's where the e $10 goes? Now on to my second favorite dish- the charred octopus. I read some reviews about the potatoes, not being great, but I was more interested in the octopus anyways. And it was excellent! It was charred, and had the char bits on it, it wasn't too chewy, and had a perfect light flavor with the balance of salt that really brought out, the delicacy of the octopus. Yum! We also had the shrimp ceviche, which for $16 left you a little disappointed. It was basically four shrimp that were cut lengthwise in a citrus marinade. They weren't overly done, so that was the good part, and there was a tablespoon of guacamole on top of the ceviche. They were served with white and red tortilla chips, which I feel could've been elevated for a $16 plate. You know, now that I think about it for shrimp and some citrus juice for $16 a little outrageous. We also ordered a side of the bourbon, glazed carrots, that came out after our appetizers, so I missed a picture of it. They were good and we would get them again. I wanted to get the brussels sprouts, but they were cooked with a bacon grease, and they couldn't leave that part out when they make them, so carrots it was. and lastly, when you sign up for their membership club that earns you $10 for every $100 you spend, you get a free dessert. So we took the Keylime tart to go. And when they call it a Keylime tart, there's so much emphasis on the tart. It was almost inedible. My mouth puckered up, and I was barely able to swallow the bite that I had of it. Now hear me out, I love Keylime pie! If it's on the menu, I'm going to get it! But this one, I will never get again. Super disappointing. So all in all in my return, I will request AJ if he's working, I'll sit in one of the booths in the back right corner, I'll order the smoked fish spread (if they have it), the seasonal Summer salad, the charred octopus and I'm still deciding on an entrée. Oar & Iron is situated in the great founders square location. Easy parking! The interior is bright and polished. Variety of seating from bar, high tops, booths, tables. A group of us sat comfortably at the bar. The bartender was friendly and attentive. The cocktails were pretty good! Loved the crushed ice. They also have a happy hour. My 3 star rating relates to the food. It was just a C which is a shame because the space is super cute! Nothing had the wow factor and perhaps tasted old, not fresh Ingredients. Came here on a Wednesday night, it wasn't busy. My friend and I sat at the bar. I ordered a Moscow mule $16 and it was good. My friend ordered a mango basil drink that was good too $17. We got the Brie and pear pizza and it tasted like an apple pie. We also ordered the mussels and couldn't finished them, they were gritty. We mentioned the grit to the bartender and she said that no one's complained about them and then had an attitude with us. We made sure to whisper and tell her politely about the mussels. It wasn't her fault at all. Idk why she was upset. She comped the mussels which we weren't expecting. The people next to us ordered bao buns that looked great. Might be back for that. Went to happy hour/dinner with another couple on a Thursday. We were seated at a booth. When inquiring about the happy hour menu we were told we had to sit at the bar or back of the restaurant to order off that menu. The restaurant was mostly empty. The service was mediocre. The food was way overpriced, especially since the quality of the food wasn't good. All 4 of us agreed it wasn't worth the money. We could have been more comfortable and had a way better and less expensive meal if we just had them over. read more
