As a taller guy the low tables and couches weren't the most comfortable, and getting up wasn't really an option once food was served as the hostess had to literally push the table in after we sat, effectively blocking us in. The lighting was dim and set the mood. There were tvs behind the bar area, there were families in the lounge area, and couples in the couched/tabled area. I think there were more regular tables in the back. The food was delicious. Their rolls were FULL of fish and lobster. Loved the drinks and the attentiveness of the servers. It got full quickly, even in the off season. Priced as expected.

The food was not to my liking- if this is Greek food, then there truly is a misunderstanding!…read moreI ordered the very traditional Greek chicken lemon soup, and it was so peppery, it was inedible! They brought another, and just as bad! I substituted humus, which was delicious! However, I have never been in a Greek restaurant that does not place pita and oil on the table! Here, pita was extra, soft , fluff 2 pieces , warm and wrapped in napkin... that's what you pay extra to have. My main dish was the meatballs with sauce in side because my husband and friend had ordered with the sauce and again, meatballs overcooked and sauce so spicy! The Men's main courses included deconstructed pastistio - some ravioli looking noodle with tiny pieces of beef rib and smothered in another spicy glob and covered with cheese! Our friend had their "signature" moussaka baked in a cast iron small pot- HORRIBLE! and no sides included! Greek green beans are always a staple of Greek cooking! Dessert was their version of beignets / zeppoles - hard and not moist in center and very little sugar coating! What a waste of time and money! BTW, they have added so many tables that my walker can not get through the maze! A one , done and never again experience! Hope your is better!

These folks understand the meaning of craft cocktails, complete with making as many of their own ingredients/mix-ins as possible. We were lucky as we were able to just walk in and pick any table we liked at 8pm on a Wednesday. I guess it can get quite busy at times. The chartreuse colored chairs and gorgeous stained glass lights told me instantly that we came to the right place. They have an extensive cocktail list, but that didn't stop me from ordering something not on the menu. They had no questions or problems making it. My spouse also ordered something not on the menu that was recommended to her by someone that had it once here before when it was one of their seasonal specials. Once again, not a challenge for these master bartenders. Everyone was upbeat and clearly enjoying what they do. Looking forward to getting back the next time I'm in Bonita.

My first course a Caesar salad had some brown romaine, so I returned it though it had great flavors, but wasn't wanting to wait for a new fresh one to be made, so they took it off the bill and insisted on an immediate complimentary beet salad replacement which I took them up on. The beets and cheese part was awesome. I didn't mention it to them, but I used to be an executive chef of high end white table cloth restaurants years ago all over the SE including New Orleans, Atlanta, Tampa, so I was very impressed with their wanting to make us all extremely happy and make up for the salad mistake. The flavors in the Tuna Tare Tare, Shrimp Ceviche was incredible, and my Lamb Shank had some of the best spices I have ever tasted in a shank. Then the owner insisted on a comp baklava dessert for our mother's birthday and it was a very unique original flambe' presentation. Most of the places I was a chef at, the servers had to do old school tableside caesar with the egg yolk, dinner like Steak Diane, dessert and flambe' drinks and I realized how rare that this is these days. Many restaurants could learn from Amber Cove, as they turned a somewhat little disappointing salad start to a great evening with class.

Food is really creative, but many of the dishes are just ungodly sweet. Charred kale salad was probably the best kale salad I ever had, perfectly delicious and highly recommended. Seafood fried rice was excellent, very tasty. The "cinnamon roll" desert was just a riot. It was huge in size and delicious to the last morsel. Excellent service, prompt and attentive. Recommended, but if you don't like sweet cuisine, you will need to be careful with your choice.

-- A Rooftop Gem Where You Feel Like Family…read more I'll be upfront -- I have social anxiety, and crowds can be genuinely overwhelming for me. My first evening up at Tigress's rooftop, I walked into a packed house with no reservation, and it was simply too much. Rather than give up, I called the restaurant shortly before close and asked about reserving a table for the following night. Just one person. What happened next genuinely surprised me. They were absolutely fabulous. Not only did they accommodate me without hesitation, they reserved me a spot in the bar area and had it ready the moment I arrived. The second I stepped off that elevator, I was greeted by name, welcomed warmly, and made to feel like I belonged there. It wasn't a restaurant experience -- it was a Cheers experience. You know the show. That's exactly what it felt like. Service was prompt and attentive from the start. My drink order was taken and delivered quickly, and when I asked for a menu recommendation, the staff guided me toward their signature crab fried rice -- and I am so glad they did. This dish is unlike anything I've had at any Thai restaurant, and I've had crab fried rice at quite a few. The blend of ingredients Tigress uses is truly special. Every element comes together in a way that feels almost magical. Worth every single penny. I've seen a few complaints about pricing, but when you consider the quality of ingredients that must go into this dish and the skill required to execute it -- the price is more than fair. Sincere applause to the entire staff for their grace and kindness. A standing ovation to the chef on duty that evening, and deep gratitude to the executive chef who curated this menu. And special recognition to the bar team -- their craft cocktails are clearly designed to complement the food beautifully. I will absolutely be back. Tigress has earned a loyal guest.

Definitely a place to come back and keep trying new dishes (and hopefully leave space for dessert next time because this opportunity I couldn't try it). Our server was friendly and recommended to try the hummus since it was our first time at Canary and she was on point! She was also very helpful and kind with my son and his special requests.
