Happy hour review: the happy hour drinks were well priced and well made. Fun, friendly bar environment. Well trained staff. We had 2 different pizzas and several mediterranean spreads- all were quite good; some, like the roasted pepper dip and the lamb pizza, were really memorable. Free parking available nearby at 2 parking garages. Fun area to stroll around before or after your meal. Lovely beach a few blocks away. read more

Our server, Aleksandra, was wonderfully friendly and genuinely helpful throughout our meal. Service ran a bit slow, but we weren't in a rush, so it didn't take away from the experience. We started with the zucchini chips, which came in a generous portion over a layer of tzatziki--light, crisp, and very satisfying. But the true standout was the Lobster Spaghetti. The flavor was unique and absolutely delicious, and even though I shared it with my husband, both portions were large and packed with lobster. It was a real delight from start to finish. For dessert, we tried the Frozen Greek Yogurt served over olive oil cake with oranges and walnuts. It was refreshing, beautifully balanced, and easily enough for four people. I'm still thinking about that spaghetti and craving it all over again. Loved it. read more

Loved Del Mar! We started with the sangria and the Beach Party cocktail, and both were really good. We also got the hummus, which was delicious with the fresh chilled vegetables. The portion was a little small, but it still tasted great. There were multiple vegan options, which was really nice to see. We tried the roasted cauliflower and rosemary potatoes - yum! The truffle agnolotti also had so much flavor and was definitely one of the highlights of the meal. Loved the food and atmosphere here. We would definitely come back! read more

We have been coming to Naples for a decade but have never tried Del Mar. We are so glad we did! The restaurant is beautiful and it has a great vibe. It is very large with seating upstairs and downstairs. Make a reservation on OpenTable, because it gets very crowded, even early. We were seated quickly and our server was excellent. She explained the menu and took our cocktail order. We had several questions and she answered them completely. We ordered a couple of appetizers and also got the lobster spaghetti, as well as the grilled seafood. Both were excellent with very large and delicious portions. They also have a great cocktail and wine wine selection. We were too full for dessert but will come back! read more

PLEASE READ: My stars are for ambiance, service, and the lamb apps. Curb appeal is gorgeous!! Food overall - kinda eh...unfortunately. Apps: hummus with shredded lamb & the lamb meatballs - BOTH SOOOOO GOOD!! Mains: swordfish with olives and tomatoes - had too much going on. Wasn't sure which flavor to focus on. Salmon with some sort of puree and vegetables - my sissie said it was bland and proceeded to salt and pepper and ask for a side of aioli but nothing helped My other sissie got a meal that was just bad (don't remember the name). They were very good about her sending it back and she got another meatball appetizer instead. read more

So went here tonight and sat at the bar the first bartender didn't even speak to us just out menus on the bar and walked away then the second bartender came over got us a drink and the ignored us the entire time so we just paid for our drink and left without eating and went some place else. Why have 5 bartenders if they are going to ignore the people sitting there. So sad. read more

Food was amazing beautiful two story atmosphere celebrating two birthdays. We sat in the patio overlooking 5th Ave nice for people watching. Drinks and service were also top shelf I would recommend Del Mar for anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion read more

Came in for happy hour/early dinner and had one of our favorite meals of the trip! Started off with a round of drinks that were all delicious and then did a round of dips and a flat bread. All were so tasty, and our waiter brought us extra vegetables that were so good. We chose to split three entrees. All were delicious, but the veal chop was our favorite. Finished the night with three desserts that were all so great. Overall a beautiful restaurant with great food and AMAZING service. read more

I love the vibe at Del Mar Naples. Great music and the decor is classic and comfortable. I must say the service was a bit disappointing. The staff at the host desk were less than friendly. No smiles felt unwelcoming. We went upstairs and sat at the small bar. The bartenders did their job and nothing more. We enjoyed a couple of great spreads and delicious cocktails. The Hummus and the Roasted Pepper were rich and tasty. The pita bread was perfect. Paradise Paloma and the 5th Avenue Margarita were de-lish. The 5th Avenue scene is fun and Del Mar could be worth a 2nd visit. read more

This place is BEAUTIFUL on the inside. Our server was very attentive and kind. I ordered the scallops and they were solid. I had a bite of the veal chop and would definitely order that next time. Baklava was amazing and the olive oil cake was light and perfectly sweet. I also tried both spritzes on the menu, I definitely preferred Beach Party over the Portuguese Spritz. read more

Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, and excellent service overall. The vegetarian dishes were flavorful and thoughtfully prepared, the pasta was outstanding, and the fish was cooked perfectly. The outdoor setting really gives that upscale Naples vibe, and everything felt worthy of a five-star experience. I'd definitely come back. The lobster spaghetti was delicious as well as the steak . The dessert was so good too, and they brought out a candle for birthday and gave us the dessert such a nice gesture . The food is very good, especially for the price. I enjoyed the flatbread pizza, lamb meatballs, also the carbonated drinks.

Beautiful restaurant in a great location. Service and vibes were great, food was mid. We got the tomato salad, which is basically a greek salad without the olives or grape leaves. It was fine, but the vegetables came in big chunks so it was hard to eat. I ordered the lobster spaghetti because it looked really good but it was kind of flavorless. read more

Unfortunately we didn't have the best night. Or should I say the kitchen didn't have the best night. Service was fantastic but some of the dishes came up short. We started with the salmon crudo, which was very good. Then for dinner, I got the lobster spaghetti and my wife got the whole branzino. The branzino was okay but lacking a bit of flavor. The lobster spaghetti was missing everything. I thought maybe it was just me so I had my wife taste it without saying a word about it and she gave me a look and said "It doesn't taste like anything.". This dish has so many good reviews that I just have to assume someone in the kitchen had a bad night. For the second time in my life, I sent a dish back. The waiter was very understanding and asked me to choose anything else from the menu. I went safe and picked the filet mignon, which is pretty good at almost any place you go. The manager delivered the steak herself and apologized for the lobster dish being less than satisfactory. It also happened to be my wife's birthday so, between that and the issues, it wasn't much of a surprise, though very much appreciated, that they comp'd the dessert, which was an olive oil cake. Holy hell was that delicious! I wish I could say it made up for it but, man, I really wanted that lobster spaghetti to be good. We were visiting Naples but, fortunately for us, there's a Del Mar close to where we live, in Fort Lauderdale. So we'll be giving them another opportunity in the near future and hopefully that spaghetti is all it's said to be. Mistakes happen, but making it right is what really matters and Del Mar came through. read more

The restaurant itself is so adorable and beautiful decorated. We ordered the lobster spaghetti, ceviche, hummus, & an oyster and cocktail shrimp! The food was yummy but the lobster shrimp was okay. We noted it was our anniversary and we were brought complimentary champagne which was so sweet! The service was amazing, our server was very attentive and kind. read more

Del Mar means "of the sea" in SPANISH. So naturally that set my expectations to seafood in general, and Spain specifically. Spain has a ton of coastline from Barcelona to Bilbao, and amazing seafood the whole way, with famous items like Paella, prawns, calamari, razor clams and branzino. What Spain does not have is tandori lamb, which our waiter informed us is the best thing on the menu. Wife had it and loved it, although there were too many brussels sprouts and not enough apricots. I had red snapper, which theoretically should be fresh, since it is relatively local. The waiter said it was caught in the Gulf, 10 miles out from Naples but that is not true--too shallow there. Probably sourced from the Panhandle area, such as Destin. It tasted like it had been sitting a couple days--ok but definitely not great. Service was OK but our appetizer arrived too fast, just as drinks arrived. Then our dinner arrived when we were only half away through the appetizer. Very poorly paced. The ambiance is nice, contemporary and attractive. Pricing is high--a 9 ounce pour of the cheapest chardonnay was $19!! So idk, maybe these seem like small quibbles, but they annoyed me. If you are going to be this pretentious, go the extra mile and deliver. Either put paella on the menu or change the name of the restaurant. This menu is far more Eastern Mediterrean than Spanish. Istanbul meets Mumbai--name the restaurant accordingly. read more

Absolutely delicious food served with proper respect and professionalism that can be, in fact our waitress, Marina, overheard me saying to Danny how I love to steal the black cherry out of his old fashion whisky on the rocks glass, and without notice when she brought our drinks she brought me a short glass with a couple of black cherries that they use for old fashion whisky drink, and kindly said "I overheard how much you like them, I thought you might like a few before order the food!" lol That was such a nice touch that really touched me with pleasure. We had tomato salad, baba ganush dip, lamb meatball in tomato sauce, beets salad and veal chop with prosciutto and roasted wild mushrooms. Everything was absolutely amazing. The ambiance was superbly entertaining yet very classy. Great experience all around! Yum read more

I had the swordfish. It was very dry and a bit salty. The other dish was chicken. It was ok. Hummus and spicy feta were tasty although we only got 2 pieces of pita bread and had to ask for more. Very underwhelmed. Service was very slow although our server was very nice and personable. Food was average at best. Most disappointing was my daughter's lobster pasta that was absolutely overcooked and served to us as a lump of mush. The waiter offered to make us a new order to go which we accepted but a respectable business would have offered to deduct the meal completely from the bill. Dessert was the tiniest little piece of chocolate cake that everyone could only share a teeny spoonful. They did give my son a complementary dessert for his birthday which was very nice and the 16oz ribeye was very good and pretty reasonably priced. read more

Great Dinner, Great Service! - - - - - - - - September, 2024 Visit We visited Marco Island for our 25th anniversary, per a recommendation from friends; we're glad we went... what a great trip. One evening we decided to explore a bit, and picked Naples... and drove there just as a big rainstorm soaked the town, which was ok. We did some sightseeing from inside the dry car and as the rain slowed, we found Del Mar, and it looked to be a good place... and it IS a good place... great staff, wonderful food! - - - They offered a special menu that night and we both ordered one of the three-course meals, and we shared. My wife ordered - Cauliflower, swordfish and Turkish chocolate mousse - the cauliflower was so flavorful - puréed pepper, chili oil, other spices - the swordfish marinated olives, pine nuts, confit potatoes, saffron tomato sauce I ordered - Tuna tartare, lobster spaghetti / gluten-free (GF) penne and Turkish chocolate mousse - Tuna tartare with za'atar... a new spice that tasted great... and the tuna was so nice - Lobster gf pasta was 1) GOOD gluten free pasta, 2) with great sauce, AND 3) the lobster pieces were BIG and tasty! The Turkish chocolate mousse, with whipped cream coffee crumbles - WONDERFUL! Ray was our waitress, who also is on a special diet and helped get us information about the pasta and more; she also shared a few stories that make us want to explore the Everglades a bit more on our next trip. Thank you, Ray and Del Mar, Naples! read more

A stand out dining experience. It's not often I consider giving a restaurant a 5/5 rating, and in this case there wasn't a hesitation. Starting with the ambiance, Del Mar has multiple seating areas to accommodate a wide variety of dinner vibes. Downstairs is bumping - a great vibe for a group dinner/celebration or if you want to watch the game while eating world class food. The patio is great for people (and car) watching. Upstairs is quieter - albeit still lively near the bar. For an intimate dining experience, ask for a table on the balcony (where we sat). It also provides a great view over 5th ave. The service was impeccable. Plates were cleared and cutlery changed immediately after every course. Our waiter was extremely helpful and pleasant to talk to (cracked some jokes, but not TOO many jokes to make me look less funny in front of my fiancé). The timing of the courses was also spot on. Finally, the food was excellent. The menu was something out of a dream (disclaimer: I'm partial to Mediterranean food). We kept it on the lighter side, opting for two dips (tzatziki and loaded hummus), the mixed greens salad, tuna tartare, and lobster spaghetti. The dips were jaw-droppingly delicious. The hummus was served with a topping of braised lamb, and the topping alone was as good as any lamb I've ever had. The salad was as good as a salad can be (this was ordered by my fiancé, obviously). The tartare had a distinctly Mediterranean olive flavour and was, of course, delicious. The lobster spaghetti was chef's kiss. Finally, we rounded out the evening with a piece of olive oil cake served with fruit. Light, fluffy, delicious. Not pictured: several glasses of the Louis Jadot Chablis and Cambria Pinot Noir. All in all, 5 star experience. Later on, during our flight home, I stared catatonically out the window, on the verge of tears, as the realization set in that the dinner was over. Alternatively, it may have been the fact that I was leaving Naples and heading back to a Toronto winter. read more

Finally found an amazing place for Brunch!!! First time dining at Del Mar today but it definitely won't be the last. The space is gorgeous. Love the lounge vibe on the first floor by the bar, the patio is great and the second floor is nice and inviting. The brunch menu is great! From salads and few delicious appetizers to traditional brunch dishes with a Del Mar twist - they've got you covered. We ordered Tuna crudo to start and then followed up with smoked salmon dish and shakahuka with lamb. Everything was phenomenal. We also had their brunch cocktails, the passion fruit spritz and cucumber refresher. Both were crisp and delicious. The service was impeccable as well. Lots of great suggestions and recommendations from our waiter. All in all, great dining experience. Loved everything about our brunch and can't wait to try their dinner menu. read more
