Avgolemono Soup (Cup) - roasted chicken broth, dill, rice, lemon egg sauce. $7.99
    Dennis D.

I thought hard about writing this review and leaving the rating of 1 star or not leaving a review at all. There were 4 of us for dinner on April 1 (yes, April Fools Day). Violi is situated in the old Bravo restaurant in Mercato. Great location, complimentary valet parking NO longer provided. The bar and baths are basically the same, as is the ceiling (tiles near the kitchen are dirty and in need of replacement). The Greek pergola and artificial flowers (bougainvillea, I think) add a nice environmental interior element. I wonder how they clean the flowers? Tables are nicely spaced, comfortable and new. Outdoor seating is the same but on this day there was a torrential rain so no one was sitting outdoors, around the bar only. We were seated against the wall, comfortably, and our server was attentive. Perhaps too attentive, spoke broken English, and she asked my companion for her ID. We all laughed. My companion is 55 years old! She said it was policy to check for ID's for anyone looking 30 or under. My companion was flattered, but really? We ordered a bottle of the Zoe Rose for $40. It was fine. We ordered appetizers of Charred Octopus (charred cipollini onions, fresno chiles, kalamata olive relish). and Crispy Zucchini & Eggplant (tzatziki, smoked paprika). Hardly any Tzatziki sauce either. We were served one arm of octopus in a bowl with a grilled half lemon and a sauce. Our server cut the octopus into about 6 pcs and finished with a squeeze of lemon. We thought it would come grilled with vegetables, no sauce, but covered in what seemed to be a yogurt sauce? The octopus was tough, certainly far from tender. It was tough to cut (server had to work to cut it), tough to chew, and not to our liking either in texture, taste or appearance (sorry, forgot to photo). The crispy zucchini & Eggplant was barely crispy, more soggy and drenched in oil. We shared the apps between the 4 of us and did not finish either of them. We all agreed they were not what we had expected. Across the table they ordered Seafood Linguine (with lobster, shrimp, clams basil and lemon) to share, we did the same. I also ordered the Avgolemono Soup (cup) and Spanakopita (they spell it Spanakopitakia on the menu). The seafood linguine is served in a red sauce. You can see small pieces of shrimp and lobster, didn't see any clams, the basil ingredient gives the impression it is served in a clear sauce (not red), and there was no taste of lemon (nor should there be in a red sauce). Pasta was overcooked and soft. For $38.99, it was overpriced, under proportioned (didn't see any clams), and poorly prepared/presented. We asked for cheese to top off the pasta and our server brought us grated/shredded cheese, not sure what kind it was. The cup of Avgolemono soup was fine, but average. Here was the big surprise. I spent close to 40 years attending the Greek Church and participated in dinners, festivals, etc., I grew up in a Middle Eastern family and my Mother, Aunts, Sisters all prepare/d Spanakopita. I was served 4 triangular pieces of Spanakopita! I was expecting a rectangle or square cut from a large tray as would be traditional. I guess that is the reason for their spelling and as an appetizer it is what the chef decided would be appropriate. The menu does say "4 pc", and I didn't ask how it is prepared, so that is my bad. When they served it my friends asked if they bought it frozen from Costco! I've had frozen before from the supermarket and will say there was a little more filling than the store bought so perhaps they are home made. Regardless, not the image I had when I ordered. We skipped dessert. My portion of the nights bill, with tip, came to about $150.00 of which 1/3 was the wine. Still, a lot of money for the portions and the quality offered. I've visited other Greek restaurants in the area, was looking forward to dining at Violi's but unfortunately will most likely not return except to perhaps sit at the bar for a cocktail after the snowbirds leave Naples. Opa!

We came here on Saturday to celebrate two birthdays and had an amazing experience! The ambiance is PERFECT! The pergola with hanging plants, amazing dim lighting throughout, and cute lamps on the tables set the perfect scene for a romantic date night or fun girls night out! We LOVED the spreads and bread, crispy calamari, and fried zucchini as appetizers. I got the Violi burger for my meal. It had a great balance of flavors along with the Greek fries. Our server Anica took great care of us and made the evening run very smoothly with drinks flowing and food coming out hot and fresh. I would definitely recommend and would come back!

Fantastic restaurant most places aren't very accommodating to children. This place was very very welcoming. The food was excellent. The drinks were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed.

I would move just to be near this restaurant! Hands down some of the best food in Naples! I can't wait to return!

Excellent new find for our culinary adventures here in southwest Florida. The atmosphere is very inviting & keeping with the Mediterranean theme. Ordering the salmon Souvlaki surly is a must in my opinion. The salmon was moist & flavorful as was the fluffy well spiced rice it comes with. We are surly coming back!

Excellent Happy Hour bar area experience with Shaina (cheerful and attentive). We started w a Sauv Blanc and Old Fashioned for drink time. Following, we had a mix of items ranging from grilled meatballs, oysters, calamari, and pita w tzatziki, all of which were very good. The indoor/outdoor bar and patio area layout was perfect to enjoy the weather. Inside was also to capacity. Overall, Violi is a hit!

The food was really good--yes, it's a high-end restaurant with prices that make you pause and re-read the menu, but it was totally worth it. Service was fantastic too. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and actually seemed happy to be there (rare these days). The ambiance was on point with bougainvillea scattered across the ceiling, giving it that "I should take pictures of this" vibe. When we went, it felt like everyone was celebrating their birthday... including me Apparently it was the night for it. They go all out for birthdays--each person gets what can only be described as a mini sparkler flame thrower. Subtle? No. Awesome? Absolutely. Important note: This is Naples. There are lots of older people. Also dress appropriately. The place also dies down as the night ages!

I had to upgrade to 5 stars due to our most recent dining experience. We came for my mother in law's birthday and Jovain was our waiter. His service was exceptional! We were a big group and it was an extremely busy night. From the moment we sat down his smile was contagious. He set the tone for a fun evening. We had the dips, calamari, meatballs and hummus for appetizers. For entrees, lamb gyro, filet slouvaki, salmon, and the flavors of everything was spot on. For dessert we had the donuts, baklava, chocolate cake and the pastry puff. Also had some incredible cocktails including the old fashioned and strawberry spritz. The DJ set the vibe and they have a small celebration with sparklers and napkins spinning around! It was quite the party but the best part of the evening was the service. Thank you Jovain!!! We will definitely be back.

    Birthday celebration time!

I'd like to give this place a second try soon. :) So why am I giving this restaurant 3 stars? I made reservations and put notes that we were celebrating my friend's birthday, and called in advance to make sure they knew, she was coming from Atlanta. Well although I must say we had a phenomenal time, they seated us next to the kitchen, might as well give us a table inside the kitchen and there were dirty glasses in our table, the small lamp made the dirty glasses even more visible. Then, I ordered rose and you can tell that even my glass wasn't well cleaned. That was just an instant let down, but tried not to focus on that. The service was great, our waitress was very patient and explained every dish to us. The food was also great, and again, we had a wonderful time, despite being seated next to the kitchen lol. It's very loud but that's okay, it's a party vibe when you're there and they gave us bottle sparklers (all of us). The place got lit after. That's why I'd like to give them a second try.

We tried the new restaurant in Mercato - Violi Naples. The new interior is beautiful. We thought that the food was just ok. For these prices not worth it. We will not be coming back.

This place just opened and I went here with friends for happy hour! I will say there were a lot of employees and the service was still getting figured out but the staff was nice and everyone jumped in. The space itself was very pretty and welcoming. It was busy but I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating. The happy hour was amazing, they have great options of food and and drinks. I was obsessed with the calamari and the hummus. For mains I had the deconstructed pastizio and it was different but delicious. My friends had the clam pasta and that was delicious too!

FABULOUS happy hour spread! The food and drinks were delicious. Everything came out quickly. The music wasn't loud, made me think of what Ancient Greek house music might sound like, and the restaurant itself was beautiful. Andrew, our bartender, was very knowledgeable, kind, and made some pretty fantastic drinks. Definitely will be back soon!

Was able to try the newest addition to Mercato Violi(formerly Bravo) and was not disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful. We were a party of 5 seated immediately at 5:30 in a nice u-shaped booth. Our server was Tassos who was excellent. Very nice drink selection. We tried a variety of menu items including Saganaki ,Meatballs, Grilled Octopus, Shrimp with Feta, Spanakopita and Shredded Cheese Fries all that I would definitely order again. Our main dishes were Lamb Chops, Lamb Shank, Moussaka, Lamb Kabobs and Cheeseburger. All done perfectly with excellent flavors and perfectly portioned. Dessert was a delicious puffed pastry with with cinnamon and ice cream amazing and a beignet type pastry with several toppings...wonderful. The owner Luke came by and introduced himself to us which was very nice and we wished him much success in his new venture. Very happy with Mercatos new addition

Finally, my 30 plus member cigar club, from the Venice FL area decided to make a road trip to Naples, specifically to visit The Burn. Twelve of us made a caravan and left Venice, driving to Naples. We arrived and had no trouble finding nearby parking for all of our vehicles. After parking we entered the lounge finding it to be quite large, with a nice bar, humidor and an outside patio too. We entered the humidor and found a staffer who offered suggestions, cut our cigars and even offered to light them for us. We paid him right there and stuffed his tip jar - that was awesome service. We then gathered in the main room of the lounge and began our cigar tasting while enjoying a few Old Fashion whiskey drinks. Then six of us wandered out to the patio and grabbed a nice large table. The bartenders were fast and service was okay. The servers were awesome, prompt and very attentive to our tables - efficient is a great description. We stayed until about 6 PM and then headed home. It was a very enjoyable adventure. I understand Rocky actually has a birthday there on March 10, 2026. Hopefully I can attend.

The cocktail list is really well laid out, with lots of great options and perfectly executed cocktails. The service is great- very upscale. I also really enjoyed that there's live entertainment. The night we were there it was a duo singing 90's songs and playing guitars. My ONLY complaint is the juxtaposition of the chill vibe and the alarmingly loud music. The whole place is maybe 400-500sqft and the equipment was at a volume like they were playing to a room of 1000 people. We were in the furthest corner from the musicians and it was still way too loud- it messed with the vibe of the place. I looked over at a poor sap sitting right next to them - he was completely detached from his party's conversation because he couldn't hear anything but this music blasting him in the face. Recap: - Vibe - incredible, cozy, upscale - service - excellent, professional - music artists - talented, great song choices - music volume- absurd, counterproductive to essence of the place.

My first evening up at Tigress's rooftop, I walked into a packed house with no reservation, and it was simply too much. Rather than give up, I called the restaurant shortly before close and asked about reserving a table for the following night. Just one person. What happened next genuinely surprised me. They were absolutely fabulous. Not only did they accommodate me without hesitation, they reserved me a spot in the bar area and had it ready the moment I arrived. The second I stepped off that elevator, I was greeted by name, welcomed warmly, and made to feel like I belonged there. It wasn't a restaurant experience -- it was a Cheers experience. You know the show. That's exactly what it felt like. Service was prompt and attentive from the start. My drink order was taken and delivered quickly, and when I asked for a menu recommendation, the staff guided me toward their signature crab fried rice -- and I am so glad they did. This dish is unlike anything I've had at any Thai restaurant, and I've had crab fried rice at quite a few. The blend of ingredients Tigress uses is truly special. Every element comes together in a way that feels almost magical. Worth every single penny. I've seen a few complaints about pricing, but when you consider the quality of ingredients that must go into this dish and the skill required to execute it -- the price is more than fair. Sincere applause to the entire staff for their grace and kindness. A standing ovation to the chef on duty that evening, and deep gratitude to the executive chef who curated this menu. And special recognition to the bar team -- their craft cocktails are clearly designed to complement the food beautifully. I will absolutely be back. Tigress has earned a loyal guest.
