A friend invited me here to grab a bite to eat. I love bibimbop, so I had no qualms about this place. Everyone comparing it to a Chipotle though thought that I would be picking out my veggies too, but that was not the case. We arrived right when they opened, and our server was really friendly and ushered us to the back of the restaurant for more privacy and since it's quiet in the back of the long restaurant. The reason for the lack of 5 stars is since we were seated near the restroom, all I could smell was bleach and cleaning products. That's one of my biggest pet peeves at restaurants (more when they are cleaning while you are eating) but I could not get the stench out of my sensitive nose. Kudos to them for doing such a good job cleaning, but negative points for seating us there. I decided to get the stone pot bibimbop because I like my food hot, and went with the spicy pork since I get beef all the time. For $9 (egg included on this one), it was not a bad deal. Typically other Korean restaurants charge up to $15 for this dish. Friend ordered the cold version, which is $2 cheaper, but a $1 extra for a fried egg. We were given miso soup and side dish of kimchi (cabbage kind that you find at chinese/korean restaurants) and pickled cucumbers. We also ordered the kimchi pancake, which for $6 is not cheap as it's only 6 pieces. It was tasty though, drenched in oil. Yum. Our entrees came out shortly after, and I had expected it to be smaller portions and not as crazy hot and sizzling, but it was. My rice burnt immediately, which I actually am not a fan of (gets all stuck up in your teeth!) and the sunnyside egg immediately turned into well done. Lots of veggies that you would typically find (although I tossed all the mushrooms out), and the spicy pork was really good, but definitley fatty. I couldn't finish my dish, which is saying a lot! My friend's cold version looked super healthy, with tons of veggies, lettuce, and brown rice. Overall, a good dining experience. Would come back again, but sit towards the front. read more

This place is on the healthy side and it's super delicious! This is my second time coming here. The restaurant is clean and the staffs are really friendly! Right when you sit down they bring out water, cucumber (the sweet kinds whatever they're called), salad, kimchi, and miso soup-- all super yummy! I ordered the hot stone bowl with beef (the shrimp is pretty good too) and brown rice and the tofu soup with Kimchi. I REALLY ENJOY THE TOFU SOUP WITH KIMCHI. ITS MY FAVORITE! The kimchi isn't too strong like other places -- which is a good thing!! This place is great for lunch or dinner! Went in around 11:45am Friday lunch and was able to snag a seat inside without waiting for a party of 2. It did get pretty busy after I sat down so coming before 12pm would be ideal. I noticed there was also a counter area if you wanted to order your food to-go instead. Decided to have the soft tofu soup combination (beef, shrimp, clam) spicy with a side of brown rice. It also came with a salad and was $11.99 without tax/tip. My friend ordered the bento box. Food came out very quickly and my soup was very comforting and hit the spot. It wasn't very spicy and but I did enjoy the meal and left full and satisfied. My friend's bento was a god portion and she enjoyed the meal as well. If I wanted to eat somewhere quick for lunch that was satisfying and reasonably priced, I definitely will come back. It is one of those what I like to call "chipotle-style" fast food/service places. As it got closer to noon, it got PACKED. The food is reasonably priced, however the portions are on the smaller side. My friend ordered the Spicy pork and the portion was tiny and the flavor was just okay. I got the original soondubu and the flavor was good, however, there was only 1 shrimp inside, a couple clams and a bit of beef. Overall it was smaller in size than what i'm used to. In addition, this place only came with 2 side dishes: a cabbage kimchi and a barely marinaded cucumber side. Both were pretty disappointing. Overall, the appeal of this place is that it is clean and modern, fast pace and reasonably price if you don't eat a lot. It is definitely not the most authentic Korean restaurant I've been to but I see it's appeal to lunch eaters on a time crunch and craving some fast and decent tasting Korean food. read more

Banchan (sides like kimchi) is served and is great, as is the trademark Korean spicy sauce. The Shrimp pancake at a Korean restaurant might be my favorite seafood anywhere, so I was looking forward to trying theirs. It was excellent as I expected, but a fair bit lesser in portion. this place is walking distance from where i used to work, so i walked here with a couple of my co-workers for lunch one day. from the yelp reviews, we knew we had to come early to avoid the crowds and having to wait for a table. fortunately, around 1115 on a wednesday, there was no wait and we were maybe the 2nd customers to arrive for lunch. the concept is simple. for the "bibimbowl," choose a bowl style (cold or sizzling hot), white or brown rice, a protein (meat & vegetarian available), and a sauce (sweet, savory and/or spicy). if you prefer soup, you can choose a tofu soup with meat, seafood, or veggies, specify your desired spice level, and either white or brown rice. i ordered the hot stone bowl with soy garlic chicken + brown rice + citron soy sauce, with all of the available veggies listed on the menu ($10.99). within minutes, my order was ready, colourful veggies and protein presented beautifully in a sizzling hot stone bowl. i waited a few minutes to let the food cool before digging in since i didn't want to burn my tongue! the chicken breast was pretty good, maybe a little on the salty side, but otherwise savory and flavourful. all of the veggies were sliced and/or shredded, lightly marinated, and tasted delicious. i was also given a sunnyside up egg, which was cooked to perfection, still mostly runny, which is how i like it. i chose to eat the protein and veggies first to fill my tummy, so i ended up with quite a bit of rice leftover. the brown rice was good, it was just a bit too much for lunch and i didn't want to end up with food coma after heading back to the office! both of my coworkers enjoyed their meals, one ordered the spicy tofu soup and the other ordered the cold bibim bowl. they also commented that the servings were quite generous and had a hard time finishing their bowls! overall, a great place to grab a healthy, reasonably priced lunch with your coworkers, or a few friends. read more

I got a Korean bento box with beef to-go. At $13 pre-tax, the price is on the high side for lunch, but I don't think the quality justified it at all. The only thing I would recommend is the Mandoo pot stickers. About 1/3 of the beef was sinewy and impossible to chew. The beef was also kind of dried out, though the flavor was ok once I got past the texture problems. The noodles were a little too sweet for me and I thought they were firmer than usual. White rice was entirely unseasoned, not even salt. The miso soup was just water and miso paste--nothing else--and tiny, though it was tasty. However I really liked the super crunchy Mandoo (pot stickers)--these alone raised my rating by a star. I probably won't be back--the sushi place next door has a nicer bento box in my opinion and at a lower price. read more

A good version of the classic Korean dish bibimbop. Veggies were fresh. Kimchi was a very young version and lacked flavor. Then chicken potstickers were good and I enjoyed them. I did take out, because of timing, but they offer a stone bowl in restaurant which is always much better. I tried the spicy pork which was good, but not very spicy. DONT GO HERE. Rudest service ever. Both of the Korean ladies were rude and were pissed when I asked to eat there and not to go. They made a big deal when I said I didn't want it to go I wanted to eat here. One of them "tsked" at me and they both yelled it was my fault and rolled their eyes. I was so appalled. I sat at one of the bigger tables because there was literally only THREE people there in the entire place and she made me move to a smaller table...It's not even busy now they're just being petty. You can pick your choice of rice (white or brown), protein, and appetizer. It also comes with miso soup, rice, salad, and 2 side dishes. The price is pretty good for the portion you get from these bentos, but the meat was just okay. We ordered bulgogi and chicken teriyaki. The bulgogi beef was a bit dry and the meat wasn't tender. The chicken was decent. Unfortunately, we didn't get our cravings satisfied. Although service was fast, it wasn't too friendly. We went right when they opened so there wasn't much people there. As we ate, more people came in, but it wasn't packed and there wasn't a line. However, it felt like the waitresses really wanted us out of there, because they kept coming to our table to see if we were done. We decided to quickly pay and leave. Also there were a ton of small flies flying around us and one even landed in our food. We didn't say anything and just decided to just not eat the part the fly touched. For lunch today, my colleagues and I were looking for some fast casual culinary flare to revive us after a well spent, fun-filled 4th of July weekend. Eventually, we landed on Bibimbowl, which met the criteria of our hopes and wishes. We ordered the Galbi Special (a dish with korean short ribs) and the Spicy Chicken Sizzling Pan (a dish with spicy chicken, citron soy sauce, kimchi, brown rice, and fresh vegetables), which were delivered to our office via postmates. First off, the dishes were neatly arranged in their to-go boxes with commendable aesthetic appeal. Not only did they taste good, but they also looked good too! The short ribs, which were ordered by Armando and Peggy were meaty and delicious, an offering that brought tenderness and a loving embrace to each bite. The spicy chicken sizzling pan, which I ordered for myself, was delicious as well. Each bite of chicken was tender as can be, hoisting pleasant flavors and aromas. The only negative feedback that I can deliver is directed towards the kimchi. The kimchi was harsher than most, boasting an overly-bitter potency and presence within the dish. Totally deserving the food and service was top notch , my husband is the only vegetarian in the family, so we sometimes find it hard to find good delicious vegetarian options at Korean restaurants, as the rest of the family enjoys Korean cuisine, so this was such a blessing, with delicious vegetarian options, as well as anything else!! We tried the Mandoo's to the vegan miso soup etc.. This place has good choices, I had the hot stone bowl with shrimp which was so good. Yum!!! Overall this place is really clean, with fresh food and great service, definitely worth going there. First of all, the parking here is horrible! Order it to go so you dont have to deal with the hassle. It's also close to a lot of company so it get pack at lunch so prepare to wait. As I say before, order online first. Dont expect to be seating with a large party since they set it up for small 1-4 person group only. The place is small but very clean. My favorite place to go to during covid!!! For the past few months, this has been the place I would get my lunch from. It's quick and easy and I love the food here. I always get the spicy pork bulgogi here. It's delicious to me! I feel like I come here once or twice every week for lunch. The amount of food for this dish that they give me gets me satisfied! It comes with fresh veggies, rice, spicy bulgogi and miso soup! I love spicy food so spicy pork bulgogi is not spicy to me. Although, it does tend to make me thirsty so having some water with this food would be good to have. Staffs are friendly, i havent had any issues with them. I usually order pickup through doordash or grubhub and it usually is ready when I drive over there. My work is about 15 minutes away so it's ready when I get there. Prices are reasonable but the kimchi pancake was way too dough-y..not enough kimchi...and had cucumber? Tofu soup was bland, even when I asked for it to be mildly spicy. The brown rice that came with the tofu soup was literally the smallest scoop I've ever seen. Maybe I didn't order the right dishes here, since people who came in afterwards got huge portions for what they ordered. Or maybe, just dont come during dinner and get their lunch specials instead. Once more this is take out (man I hate eating alone in a restaurant) but the staff was friendly and plenty of seating for a quick style restaurant that it is. First it is setup like a chipotle or subway... Or noodle company I guess. You pick our style (chose bowl) your protein (spicy pork) your rice (white) type of sauce (original Korean spicy) and egg or no egg (egg). Pretty simple and the wait was about 4 minutes. Overall it was delicious. It "felt" healthy but the spicy Korean sauce and kimchi added that extra depth to its flavor. I wish there was a little more spicy pork to fill out the plate but it worked well enough. I got back to the hotel and paired it with a Sapporo beer and dug right in. I know not the same country but the pair worked nicely and was very satisfied. Quick and easy and will be ordering again...
